Abstract
Se divulga una máquina eléctrica de imán permanente en la cual el rotor tiene un contrahierro fijo y segmentos de contrahierro móviles; cuando los segmentos de contrahierro móviles están en una primera posición, tal como en contacto con el contrahierro fijo, la fuerza del campo es alta; cuando los segmentos de contrahierro móviles están en una segunda posición en la cual los segmentos de contrahierro móviles son desplazados lejos del contrahierro fijo, la fuerza del campo es baja; la capacidad para debilitar la fuerza del campo ocasiona que la relación constante de velocidad de potencia se incremente y así aumente la utilidad del motor para aplicaciones en las cuales se desea un amplio rango de velocidades; la divulgación aplica tanto a motores de imán permanente como a generadores; en una modalidad alternativa, el anillo de estator es proporcionado con una porción fija y al menos un segmento de estator móvil.
