Abstract

Un proceso para recuperar petróleo de un lecho sedimentario petrolífero que comprende introducir dentro del mencionado lecho sedimentario una composición acuosa que comprende por lo menos un derivado sulfonatado de una o más olefinas internas, las cuales olefinas internas se caracterizan porque tienen bajas cantidades de tri-sustitución sobre el enlace de olefina, y el cual derivado sulfonatado se obtiene mediante la sulfonización de una composición que comprende olefinas internas de la fórmula: RRC=CRR, que se caracteriza porque R, R, Ry Rson iguales o diferentes y son hidrógenos o grupos hidrocarbilo saturados de cadena recta o ramificada y el número total de átomos de carbono de R, R, Ry Res de 6 a 44 con la condición de que por lo menos cerca de 96 moles por ciento de Ry Rsean grupos hidrocarbilo saturados de cadena recta o ramificada y por lo menos cerca de 96 moles por ciento de Ry Rsean hidrógeno. Además se proporcionan composiciones para usar en la recuperación de petróleo de un lecho sedimentario petrolífero.
