Abstract

La presente invención provee nuevas construcciones de ADN para transformar establemente los plástidos de plantas superiores. Las construcciones aquí descritas contienen promotores únicos que son transcritos tanto por ARN polimerasa de plástidos nucleares codificados, como por ARN polimerasa de plástidos de plástidos codificados, o ambos. El uso de las nuevas construcciones de la invención facilita la transformación de un rango más amplio de especies de plantas y permite la expresión ubicua de un ADN de transformación en plástidos de plantas multicelulares.
