Abstract

背景
【0003】多年来,缝纫机被用于通过用线将织物片基本上系在一起而使片连在一起。近来,服装制造商开始使用热和压力熔接叠在一起的边,使织物片连在一起。当应用热时,叠在一起的片边缘部分熔化并熔融在一起,形成接缝。该方法对某些热塑性材料效果相当好,但对许多其它材料就不太好,例如某些机织物,它可能在加热后变脆并随后易裂。
【0004】使用熔接技术形成接缝的可选方法包括使用胶粘剂将织物连在一起。一种这样的已知技术使用放置在织物片重叠边缘之间的胶粘剂条。压力和热被施用于叠在一起的织物和胶粘剂,使胶粘剂熔化,形成连接重叠织物片的粘合。已知的粘结接缝具有多种局限,这取决于连接织物的方式和使用的织物类型。

概述

优选实施方式详述

【0021】超声波压力优选用超声波接缝粘结机器类型施加,该机器由美国宾夕法尼亚州West Chester的Sonobond Ultrasonics,Inc.或苏格兰Glenrothes,Fife的Ardmel Automation Ltd.出售。该类超声波接缝粘结机器包括进料辊或往复式狗牙器(feed dogs),其使材料以与常规缝纫机非常一样的方式被送过机器。在带有往复式狗牙器的超声波接缝粘结机器中,进料冲程可以小于超声波喇叭形辐射体的尺寸(在进料方向),使得在接缝被送过超声波粘结机器时,接缝上的每一点都多次暴露于超声波压力下。例如,Ardmel Automation Ltd.制造的机器包括大约1/4英寸(6.35mm)长的超声波喇叭形辐射体,但进料冲程只有大约1/16英寸(1.59mm)。这样,当接缝通过喇叭形辐射体时,沿接缝的每一点都将四次暴露于超声波喇叭形辐射体产生的超声波压力。多次将胶粘剂暴露于超声波压力可以提高所形成的粘结接缝的强度。在其它实施方式中,可以应用另外形式的能量,例如热、射频辐射、微波辐射或其它波长的电磁辐射,以通过加热活化胶粘剂,从而软化或熔化胶粘剂,或者另外引发化学反应。在又一些实施方式中,使用的特定胶粘剂可能不需要应用用于活化的附加能量,应用能量的步骤可能一起被省略。优选地,在应用能量促使形成粘合的过程中,将压力施加于第一和第二片材以及第一和第二胶粘剂条上;然而,这不总是必需的。附加的能量可以在一步、两步或多步中应用。在将组装的材料通过超声波接缝粘结机器后,或另外在将其暴露于所应用的能量之后,通过冷却或其它方式,使胶粘剂凝固,使得它与片材1、2形成坚固的粘合或在片材1、2之间形成坚固的粘合。

【0023】本发明人发现,采用本文所述方法,可以在几乎任何机织物片和机织复合织物片之间形成接缝。示例性的这类机织物和机织复合织物包括防水透气层状织物,例如2层和3层的层状织物,和防水透气膜,出售商标为GORE-TEX、PACKLITE、CONDUIT、ENTRANT、EVENT、SYPATEX以及其它;轻型雨衣织物,例如Mountain Hardwear,Inc.出售的具有耐用防水涂料的EPICTM防破裂尼龙织物,Marmot出售的PRECIP和Toray Coatex Co.,Ltd出售的ENTRANT DT 2.5;防风织物类型,出售商标为WINDSTOPPER、SCHOELLER、POWERSHIELD、WINDBLOCK和其它;以及其它涂布的和未涂布的机织物,例如CORDURA尼龙、弹性织物、塔斯纶和SCHOELLER DRY SKIN。本文所公开的接缝制造方法也适合用于非机织织物,包括针织物,例如LYCRA和其它;稀松织物,例如,诸如Pelon;以及非机织材料,例如合成膜和塑料膜(sheeting)。由于按照所公开的实施方式,接缝可以在诸多材料中形成,并由于这样的接缝通常坚固且高度防水,因此本文所述方法特别适用于制造服装(包括衣服、鞋类、头部遮盖物、手套等,尤其是外套和运动服)和制造体育用品如帐篷、背包、睡袋、行李箱包等。
【0024】回到图3,活化胶粘剂条9、13的可选方法包括两步或两次施用能量,这胜于上述的单步或单次。在该实例中,在第一胶粘剂条9被放置在第一和第二织物片1和2之间后,并且在第二胶粘剂条13处于适当位置之前,第一次施用超声波压力,形成连接第一和第二织物片1和2的粘合。然后,在第二胶粘剂条13被放置在第二织物片2的第一和第二部分17和18之间以后,第二次施用超声波压力,形成第二织物片2的第一和第二部分17和18之间的粘合。

【0026】取决于要连接的织物类型,该接缝可能比图1所示接缝坚固,原因是张力F通常平行于接缝的粘结面,并因此分布在大面积的接缝粘结面上。进一步,对于具有不同拉伸强度或伸展特性的正面层和背面层的多层层压织物而言,图3的接缝可以基本减小该织物的较薄弱层相对其较坚固层(一层或多层)伸展的趋势,已知这引起一些现有技术接缝失败。图3的接缝没有具有不同拉伸强度的层压层表面之间的粘合。如图3所示,第一胶粘剂条9将织物片1、2的一对外表面3、6粘连在一起,而第二胶粘剂条13将同一背面7的部分17、18粘连在一起。

【0029】图5说明将用于夹克口袋的织物层缝在夹克本体上的常规方式,该夹克由多层的层压织物制成。如图5所示,夹克本体40的层压织物具有耐磨的外层或正面层42;防水、防风和透气的中间层43和保护中间层43的内层或背面层44。夹克口袋41通过形成连接缝合45被缝制在夹克本体40上,连接缝合45延伸通过口袋41的里面部分并通过夹克本体40的全部三个层压层42、43、44。通过顶部缝合46,口袋41被进一步固定在夹克本体40上,该顶部缝合46延伸通过口袋的外面部分、口袋的里面部分以及夹克本体40的所有三个层压层42、43、44。连接缝合45和顶部缝合46趋向将水分(在图中表示为雨滴形状)通过毛细作用从服装外面带到里面。为试图保持服装的防水特性,连接缝合45的里面部分47和顶部缝合46的里面部分48被用防水密封条49覆盖。然而,水分仍然能够沿缝合45、46通过防水中间层43进入,然后沿着背面层44和围绕密封条49的边横向迁移,危害了服装的防水特性。

Claims (36)

1.形成无缝接缝的方法,包括:
提供具有内表面和外表面以及边的第一片材;
提供具有内表面和外表面以及边的第二片材;
将所述第一片材的外表面放置分别临近所述第二片材的外表面和边;
提供具有相对的第一和第二面的细长的第一胶粘剂条;
将所述第一胶粘剂条放置在所述第一和第二片材之间,使得所述第一胶粘剂条的第一面紧邻所述第一片材的外表面,并且所述第一胶粘剂条的第二面的至少一部分沿着所述第二片材的边紧邻所述第二片材的外表面;
提供具有相对的第一和第二面的细长的第二胶粘剂条;
将所述第二胶粘剂条的第一面的至少一部分放置靠近所述第二片材内表面的第一部分,沿所述第二片材的边延伸;
折叠所述第二片材,使得所述第二片材内表面的第二部分覆在所述第二胶粘剂条的第二面上;和
对所述第一和第二胶粘剂条应用能量,活化所述第一和第二胶粘剂条,由此所述第一胶粘剂条将所述第一片材的外表面与所述第二片材的外表面连接,以及所述第二胶粘剂条将所述第二片材内表面的第一部分与所述第二片材内表面的第二部分连接。
2.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其中能量的应用包括:
对所述第一和第二胶粘剂条中至少一个应用能量的第一步;和
在应用能量的第一步和所述第一和第二胶粘剂条二者的放置以及所述第二片材的折叠之后,对所述第一和第二胶粘剂条二者应用能量的第二步。
3.根据权利要求2所述的方法,其中所述应用能量的第一步包括仅对第一和第二胶粘剂条之一应用能量。
4.根据权利要求1所述的方法,进一步包括在应用能量期间,对所述第一和第二片材以及所述第一和第二胶粘剂条应用压力。
5.根据权利要求1所述的方法,进一步包括:
放置所述第一片材,以便与所述第二片材的边重叠,从而限定延伸出所述第二片材边外的所述第一片材的重叠接缝部分;和
将所述第一胶粘剂条的一部分或所述第二胶粘剂条的一部分或二者,放置在第一片材的所述重叠接缝部分与所述第二片材的第二部分之间,并与所述第二片材的边重叠。
6.根据权利要求5所述的方法,进一步包括在应用能量期间,对所述第一和第二片材以及所述第一和第二胶粘剂条应用压力。
7.根据权利要求5所述的方法,其中能量的应用包括:
对所述第一和第二胶粘剂条中至少一个应用能量的第一步;和
在应用能量的第一步和所述第一和第二胶粘剂条二者的放置以及所述第二片材的折叠之后,对所述第一和第二胶粘剂条二者应用能量的第二步。
8.根据权利要求7所述的方法,其中所述应用能量的第一步包括仅对第一和第二胶粘剂条之一应用能量。
9.根据权利要求1所述的方法,进一步包括:
放置所述第一胶粘剂条,以限定其重叠部分,该重叠部分与所述第二片材的边重叠并延伸出所述边外;
放置所述第二胶粘剂条,以便其重叠部分与所述第二片材的边重叠并延伸出所述边外;
沿其边折叠所述第一片材;和
将所述第一片材的边放置在所述第一和第二胶粘剂条的重叠部分之间。
10.形成无缝接缝的方法,包括:
提供具有内表面和外表面以及边的第一片材;
提供具有内表面和外表面以及边的第二片材;
折叠所述第二片材,使得所述第二片材内表面的第一部分与所述第二片材内表面的第二部分相对;
提供具有相对的第一和第二纵向边的细长的第二胶粘剂条;
纵向地折叠所述胶粘剂条,以限定其伸长的第一和第二部分;
放置所述胶粘剂条,使得其第二纵向边在所述第二片材的第一和第二部分之间,和其第一纵向边紧邻所述第二片材的外表面;
将所述第一片材的外表面放置靠近所述胶粘剂条,与所述第二片材相对;和
对所述胶粘剂条应用能量,活化所述胶粘剂条,由此所述胶粘剂条的第一部分将所述第一片材的外表面与所述第二片材的外表面连接,以及所述胶粘剂条的第二部分将所述第二片材内表面的第一部分与所述第二片材内表面的第二部分连接。
11.根据权利要求10所述的方法,进一步包括放置所述第一片材,以便与所述第二片材的边重叠,从而限定延伸出所述第二片材边外的所述第一片材的重叠接缝部分。
12.根据权利要求11所述的方法,其中所述胶粘剂条的折叠形成所述胶粘剂条的纵向折叠,并进一步包括将所述胶粘剂条的纵向折叠放置靠近所述第一片材的边。
13.根据权利要求1至12的任一项所述的方法,其中所述第一和第二片材每个包括防水透气层压织物。
14.根据权利要求1至12的任一项所述的方法,其中所述能量的应用包括应用超声波压力。
15.根据权利要求1至12的任一项所述的方法,其中所述能量的应用包括应用电磁辐射。
16.根据权利要求1至12的任一项所述的方法,其中所述能量的应用包括应用射频辐射。
17.根据权利要求1至12的任一项所述的方法,其中所述能量的应用包括应用微波辐射。
18.根据权利要求1至12的任一项所述的方法,其中所述能量的应用包括应用热。
19.根据权利要求7至12的任一项所述的方法,进一步包括在应用能量期间,对所述第一和第二片材以及所述胶粘剂条应用压力。
20.一种服装,其通过根据权利要求1至12的任一项所述的方法制造。
21.根据权利要求20所述的服装,其中所述第一和第二片材每个包括防水透气层压织物。
22.一种鞋,其通过根据权利要求1至12的任一项所述的方法制造。
23.一种体育用品,其通过根据权利要求1至12的任一项所述的方法制造。
24.一种帐篷,其通过根据权利要求1至12的任一项所述的方法制造。
25.用于服装或体育用品的无缝接缝,包括:
第一片材,其具有内表面和外表面以及边;
第二片材,其具有内表面和外表面以及边,所述第二片材的外表面和边被放置紧邻所述第一片材的外表面,所述第二片材的内表面包括沿着所述第二片材的边延伸的第一部分,和所述第二片材被折叠,使得所述第一部分与所述第二片材内表面的第二部分相对;
伸长的第一胶粘剂条,其具有相对的第一和第二面,所述第一胶粘剂条被放置在第一和第二片材之间,使得所述第一胶粘剂条的第一面靠近所述第一片材的外表面,以及所述第一胶粘剂条的第二面的至少一部分沿着所述第二片材的边靠近所述第二片材的外表面;
伸长的第二胶粘剂条,其具有相对的第一和第二面,所述第二胶粘剂条的第一面的至少一部分被放置到所述第二片材内表面的第一部分,以及所述第二胶粘剂条的第二面被放置到所述第二片材内表面的第二部分;和

所述第一胶粘剂条的一部分或所述第二胶粘剂条的一部分或二者被放置在所述第一片材的重叠接缝部分与所述第二片材的第二部分之间,以便重叠所述第二片材的边,并形成所述第一片材与所述第二片材的第二部分之间的粘合。
27.根据权利要求25所述的无缝接缝,其中:
所述第一胶粘剂条被放置,以限定与所述第二片材的边重叠并延伸出该边外的其重叠部分;
所述第二胶粘剂条被放置,以限定与所述第二片材的边重叠并延伸出该边外的其重叠部分;
所述第一片材沿其边被折叠;和
所述第一片材的所述边被放置在所述第一和第二胶粘剂条的重叠部分之间。
28.用于服装或体育用品的无缝接缝,包括:
第一片材,其具有内表面和外表面以及边;
第二片材,其具有内表面和外表面以及边,所述第二片材被折叠,使得所述第二片材内表面的第一部分与所述第二片材内表面的第二部分相对;
纵向折叠的伸长的胶粘剂条,以限定其伸长的第一和第二部分,所述胶粘剂条具有相对的第一和第二纵向边,所述第一纵向边被放置邻近所述第二片材的外表面,和所述第二纵向边被放置在所述第二片材的第一和第二部分之间,所述第一片材的外表面被放置到胶粘剂条上,与所述第二片材相对,以及所述胶粘剂条的第一部分将所述第一片材的外表面与所述第二片材的外表面连接,和所述胶粘剂条的第二部分将所述第二片材内表面的第一部分与所述第二片材内表面的第二部分连接。

31.根据权利要求25至30的任一项所述的无缝接缝,其中所述第一和第二片材每个包括防水透气层压织物。
32.一种服装,其包括根据权利要求25至30的任一项所述的无缝接缝。
33.根据权利要求32所述的服装,其中所述第一和第二片材每个包括防水透气层压织物。
34.一种鞋,其包括根据权利要求25至30的任一项所述的无缝接缝。
35.一种体育用品,其包括根据权利要求25至30的任一项所述的无缝接缝。
36.一种帐篷,其包括根据权利要求25至30的任一项所述的无缝接缝。
