在一个实施方案中,相对于每重量份(pbw)的磷来说,本发明的补充剂组合物包含约1.4重量份到约2.1重量份的钙,更通常包含约1.5重量份到约2.0重量份的钙。
可任选的是,例如,通过加入包含比上述钙磷盐更低量的磷或不含显著量磷的钙来源或者加入包含比上述钙磷盐相对更低量的钙或不含显著量的钙的磷来源,可以在所需范围内调节剂型中钙和磷的相对含量。

在一个实施方案中,本发明的钙类膳食补充剂中的粒状磷酸钙类盐组分具有这样的粒径分布,即:其中粒径小于约10微米(μm)的盐的量大于或等于约50重量%(“重量百分比”)、更通常大于或等于约75重量%、甚至更通常大于或等于约90重量%。

合适的糖是已知的,并且包括(例如)玉米糖浆、蔗糖、甜菜糖、葡萄糖。合适的脂类是已知的,并且包括黄油、奶油、炼乳和植物油(例如部分氢化的大豆油)。合适的调味剂是已知的,并且包括:天然调味剂,例如香荚兰浸剂、可可粉、天然巧克力调味剂和浓缩果汁;和人工调味剂,例如香草醛和人工果味剂。
在一个实施方案中,可咀嚼型糖基为软质可咀嚼型糖基,并且包含有效量的软化剂,例如甘油、甘油单硬脂酸酯或脂类成分。

本发明的软质咀嚼物如下制备:将钙磷组分以及任何可任选的组分与可咀嚼型糖基按所需的相对量组合,根据已知的方法混合各个组分以生产基本上均质的混合物并将所得到的混合物形成单个的软质咀嚼物。
在一个实施方案中,选择各个组分的相对量和软质咀嚼物的尺寸以提供这样的剂量,即:每个独立的软质咀嚼物包含约100毫克(“mg”)到约1200mg、更通常约500mg到约600mg的钙,每个独立的软质咀嚼物包含约100mg到约1000mg、更通常约200mg到约400mg的磷。
本发明的钙类膳食补充剂提供一种用于补钙和补磷的便携和方便的来源。
例1和例2
通过如下方法来制备例1的软质咀嚼物:将具有如下表所示粒径分布的磷酸三钙和可咀嚼型巧克力焦糖糖基按照每100重量份可咀嚼型焦糖糖基对应于约21.9重量份磷酸三钙的量混合,并将该混合物形成为每个约6克(“g”)重、尺寸约0.8英寸×0.7英寸×0.4英寸的截角立方体。就例1的软质咀嚼物而言,标称上每个咀嚼物包含500mg钙和260mg磷。

Claims (12)

1.一种可咀嚼剂型钙类膳食补充剂,该钙类膳食补充剂包含粒状磷酸钙类盐与可咀嚼型糖基形成的混合物。
2.根据权利要求1所述的膳食补充剂,其中,所述磷酸钙类盐包含磷酸三钙、二水磷酸二钙、无水磷酸二钙和磷酸一钙中的一种或多种。
3.根据权利要求1所述的膳食补充剂,其中,相对于每重量份的磷来说,所述膳食补充剂包含约1.4重量份到约2.1重量份的钙,更通常包含约1.5重量份到约2.0重量份的钙。
4.根据权利要求1所述的膳食补充剂,其中,大于或等于约50重量%的所述粒状磷酸钙类盐的粒径小于约10微米。
5.根据权利要求1所述的膳食补充剂,其中,大于或等于约75重量%的所述粒状磷酸钙类盐的粒径小于约10微米。
6.根据权利要求1所述的膳食补充剂,其中,大于或等于约90重量%的所述粒状磷酸钙类盐的粒径小于约10微米。
7.根据权利要求1所述的膳食补充剂,其中,小于或等于约10重量%的所述粒状磷酸钙类盐的粒径大于约20微米。
8.根据权利要求1所述的膳食补充剂,其中,小于或等于约5重量%的所述粒状磷酸钙类盐的粒径大于约20微米。
9.根据权利要求1所述的膳食补充剂,其中,小于或等于约1重量%的所述粒状磷酸钙类盐的粒径大于约20微米。
10.根据权利要求1所述的膳食补充剂,其中,所述可咀嚼型糖基为太妃糖糖基,所述太妃糖糖基包含调味剂与经烹制的糖形成的混合物。
11.根据权利要求1所述的膳食补充剂,其中,所述可咀嚼型糖基为包含混合物的焦糖糖基,该混合物包含糖与脂类形成的经烹制的混合物以及调味剂。
12.根据权利要求1所述的膳食补充剂,其中,所述膳食补充剂中的每个独立的软质咀嚼物包含约100毫克到约1200毫克的钙,并且所述膳食补充剂中的每个独立的软质咀嚼物包含约100毫克到约1000毫克的磷。
