Abstract
本发明涉及一种基于透明、低折射率薄片状基质的银颜料,其具有由层厚为5-300nm的TiO2组成的高折射率涂层,以及任选的外部保护层,并且涉及所述颜料在油漆、涂料、印刷油墨、防伪印刷油墨、塑料、按钮粘贴、陶瓷材料、玻璃中的用途、用于晶种着色、作为塑料和纸张的激光标记的掺杂剂、在食品和医药领域中作为着色添加剂、用于化妆品制剂、以及用于制备颜料组合物和干制剂。
Description
本发明涉及一种基于薄片状、透明、低折射率基质的银干涉颜料,并涉及所述颜料在油漆、涂料、印刷油墨、塑料中的应用,以及作为塑料和纸张的激光标记的掺杂剂、在食品和医药领域和化妆品制剂中作为添加剂的应用。
在工业的许多领域中,具体为汽车罩面漆、装饰性涂料、塑料、油漆、印刷油墨和化妆品制剂中均应用光泽或效果颜料。
由于其颜色作用,汽车罩面漆和有价值的防伪文件对光泽颜料特别感兴趣,这种颜料在许多干涉颜色间显示出依角而变的颜色。
矿物基珠光颜料是特别重要的。珠光颜料用高折射率的通常为氧化层的层涂覆无机、薄片状载体而制备。这些颜料的颜色由在介质/氧化物或氧化物/基质界面上的波长-选择性部分反射和反射或透射光的干涉而产生。
这些颜料的干涉颜色由氧化层的厚度确定。银颜料的色彩由(在光学感观内)单个高折射率层产生,而所述高折射率层的光学厚度在可见波长范围内在约500nm处产生最大反射(一级反射)。这一波长作为绿颜色被人眼接收。然而,这一最大值在其波长轴上的强度曲线是如此之宽,以致使大部分光在整个可见光区域内均被反射,人眼接收到非常亮的但无色的印象。
按照已知的薄层光学规则-具体为光学部件涂层的光学规则,与单层相比,高和低折射率交替排布的多层的反射光强度明显增强。因此,与TiO2单层系统相比,向云母颗粒施涂TiO2-SiO2-TiO2层系统使反射光强度提高了约60%。相应地,由干涉而反射的光的图线明显更加显著,从而对于这类多层系统来说,可以预期得到强烈且明亮的反射颜色。这类颜料在DE 196 18 569 A1中有述。
现有技术公开了基于云母片的银颜料,其具有非常宽的层厚分布,并因此针对干涉颜色来说具有中性行为。珠光颜料具有云母的单个高折射率涂层,因此其代表单层光学系统,即其干涉颜色由高折射率金属氧化物层的层厚单独确定。因此云母/金属氧化物银颜料的用色设计范围是非常有限的。
另外,由于云母颗粒的层状结构,其表面具有能产生散射的不规则性,并因此降低了产品的透明性和颜色质量。再者,云母或多或少显示出非常明显的灰棕主体颜色。这种特性进一步降低了透明性并以不希望的方式影响涂用介质的吸收颜色。
另外,产生银色印象的多层颜料是已知的,如在EP 1213330A1中所述。在这些颜料中,强烈的颜色可以被施涂非常薄(约50nm)的TiO2-SiO2-TiO2层序列的SiO2层所抑制。与单层云母基银颜料类似,这些颜料在用色特性设计中只提供非常小的范围,并且具有云母作基质的上述缺点。
因此本发明的目的是提供一种银色干涉颜料,这种颜料是出色的,具体具有高透明性、纯白主体颜色和超越了单独的银效果的用色设计可能性。
令人惊奇地,现在已经发现一种特定的透明、低折射率薄片,例如用薄TiO2层涂覆的SiO2薄片,能产生银色印象。通过用厚度与薄片厚度精确匹配的TiO2层涂覆薄片可以实现这一点。
与EP 1213330A1的单层涂覆的云母基银颜料和干涉颜料相比,本发明的颜料显示出如下特性:
-在施涂介质中非常好的透明性
-纯白的主体颜色
-非常明亮的银干涉颜色。
除了这些特征外,本发明的颜料在以下特性方面不同于已知干涉颜料:
-强的闪光效果
-可调节的色调
-依角而变的色调
通过调节TiO2层的厚度并通过选择各种厚度的透明薄片如SiO2薄片,上述色调可以在很宽范围内变化而不损失干涉颜料的印象。
因此本发明涉及基于薄片状、透明、低折射率基质的银干涉颜料,其具有由层厚为5-300nm的TiO2组成的高折射率涂层,以及任选的外部保护层。
本发明进一步涉及本发明的银颜料的用途,其用于油漆、涂料、印刷油墨、塑料、按钮粘贴、陶瓷材料、玻璃中、用于种子包覆、作为塑料和纸张的激光标记的掺杂剂、在食品和医药领域特别是化妆品制剂中作为着色添加剂。本发明的颜料另外还适合于制备颜料组合物和制备干制剂,如颗粒、片、小球、团等。干制剂对印刷油墨和化妆品制剂来说是特别适合的。
对本发明的干涉颜料来说合适的基础基质为折射率<1.9的基质,例如在WO 93/08237中所描述的薄片状SiO2薄片。另外,除了所述的SiO2薄片外,本领域熟练技术人员已知的任何薄片状透明基质都是合适的,例如Al2O3薄片、玻璃薄片和薄片状塑料颗粒。特别优选的基质为SiO2薄片。其具体的特性,如可调节的色调和依角而变的色调是由针对窄的厚度分布所定义的平均密度而特别支持的。
因此基于其平均层厚,基质薄片的厚度标准偏差应该为≤20%,优选为≤10%,特别优选为≤5%。
基础基质的尺寸本身并不关键,并且可以与具体的应用相匹配。薄片状透明基质通常具有0.02-10μm的平均厚度,优选为0.03-5μm,具体为0.05-3μm。其它两维尺寸通常为1-450μm,优选为2-200μm,具体为5-100μm。
为了实现有层理的、依角而变色调的纯银效果,很重要的是各薄片的平均厚度在标准偏差≤20%的范围内。
基质的纵横比(直径/厚度比)优选为1-1000,具体为3-500,特别优选为5-200。
TiO2层和基质如SiO2基质的厚度对颜料的光学特性来说是很关键的。所述层的厚度必须精确设定并与基质薄片的平均厚度相匹配。TiO2层的厚度优选为5-300nm,优选为10-200nm,具体为30-150nm。
通过形成高折射率的TiO2干涉层可以相对容易地制备本发明的颜料,其中所述的TiO2干涉层具有精确定义的厚度并且在细碎的薄片状基质上具有光滑的表面。TiO2可以为金红石型或锐钛矿型。TiO2优选为金红石改性型。特别优选的是用金红石层涂覆的SiO2薄片。
合适的基质可以为所有的无机和有机透明材料,而这些材料均可以制成具有窄厚度分布的细碎的薄片状。合适的有机基质为聚合物等,例如聚酯(例如PET)、聚碳酸酯、聚酰亚胺和聚甲基丙烯酸酯。
特别优选的是基于SiO2、Al2O3、带有薄片外观的所有单晶、以及用薄的二氧化钛层涂覆的玻璃薄片的干涉颜料。
优选通过湿化学法施涂金属氧化物层,有可能应用针对制备珠光颜料开发的湿式化学涂覆法。这类方法在如下文献中有述:DE 14 67468、DE 19 59 988、DE 20 09 566、DE 22 14 545、DE 22 15 191、DE22 44 298、DE 23 13 331、DE 25 22 572、DE 31 37 808、DE 31 37 809、DE 31 51 343、DE 31 51 354、DE 31 51 355、DE 32 11 602、DE 32 35017、以及对本领域的熟练技术人员来说已知的其它专利文献和公开发表物。
在湿法涂覆中,基质颗粒悬浮在水中,并且在适于水解的pH值下加入一种或多种可水解的钛盐,以一定方式选择所述钛盐从而金属氧化物或金属氧化物水合物在不发生明显的二次沉积的情况下直接沉积到薄片上。通常通过同时计量加入碱和/或酸而保持pH值基本恒定。随后分离出颜料、洗涤并在50-150℃下干燥,并且如果需要,煅烧0.5-3小时,其中在每种情况下可以针对所存在的涂层优化煅烧温度。所述煅烧温度通常为250-1000℃,优选为350-950℃。
另外涂覆也可以在流化床反应器中通过气相涂覆进行,例如相应地有可能应用在EP 0 045 851A1和EP 0 106 235A1中所提出的制备珠光颜料的方法。
通过选择不同的覆盖量或由其所造成的层厚可以使颜料的色调在非常宽的范围内变化,并同时保持其银效果。确定色调的细微调节可以在纯粹的量的选择之外通过在视觉或测量技术控制下达到所希望的颜色而实现。
为了提高光、水和气候的稳定性,根据应用领域,经常建议的是使已完成的颜料进行后涂覆或后处理。合适的后涂覆或后处理为在德国专利DE 22 15 191、DE-A 31 51 354、DE-A 32 35 017和DE-A 33 34598中所描述的方法。这种后涂覆进一步提高了颜料的化学稳定性或简化了颜料的处理,具体为加入到各种介质中的处理。为了提高其润湿性、可分散性和/或与施涂介质的可兼容性,可以向颜料表面上施涂Al2O3或ZrO2或其混合物或混合相的功能性涂层。另外,有机后涂层或组合有机/无机后涂层也是可能的,例如用硅烷的涂层,正如如下文献中所描述的:EP 0090259、EP 0634 459、WO 99/57204、WO96/32446、WO 99/57204、US 5,759,255、US 5,571,851、WO 01/92425、或J.J.Ponjeé,Philips Technical Review,Vol 44,No.3,81ff.和P.H.Harding J.C.Berg,J.Adhesion Sci.Technol.Vol.11 No.4,pp.471-493。
本发明的银颜料是简单的并且易于处理。通过简单的搅拌可以将该颜料加入到施涂系统中。不需要颜料的复杂研磨和分散。
由于本发明的银颜料组合了高光泽性与高透明性和纯白主体颜色,因此它们在各种施涂介质中可以达到特别有效的效果,而没有明显受影响的吸收颜色。
不用说,对各种用途来说,所述干涉颜料也可以有利地按与以下物质的混合物的形式应用:有机染料、有机颜料或其它颜料如透明和不透明的白色、彩色和黑色颜料;以及基于金属氧化物涂覆的云母和SiO2薄片等的薄片状铁氧化物、有机颜料、全息颜料、LCP(液晶聚合物)以及常规的透明、有色和黑色光泽颜料。所述干涉颜料可以与可商购的颜料及填料按任意比混合。
在各种用途中,本发明的颜料也可以与任何类型的其它着色剂组合,例如与以下物质组合:有机和/或无机的吸收颜料和染料、多层干涉颜料如Timiron、Sicopearl(BASF AG)、Chroma-Flair(FlexProducts Inc.)、BiOCl颜料、珍珠香料或金属颜料,例如来自Eckart的产品。对于混合比和浓度来说没有限制。
本发明的颜料与大多数色系都是兼容的,所述色系优选来自油漆、涂料和印刷油墨领域。对于凹版印刷、凸版印刷、胶印或胶版套印的印刷油墨的生产来说,多种粘合剂具体为水溶级的粘合剂都是合适的,例如由BASF、Marabu、Prll、Sericol、Hartmann、Gebr.Schmidt、Sicpa、Aarberg、Siegberg、GSB-Wahl、Follmann、Ruco或CoatesScreen INKS GmbH市场化的粘合剂。所述印刷油墨可以为水基的或者溶剂基的。所述颜料另外还适用于纸张和塑料的激光标记,以及农业领域内的应用,例如温室薄膜和账蓬遮阳蓬的着色等。
本发明的银颜料可以用于以下颜料:表面涂料、印刷油墨、塑料、农用薄膜、种子包覆、食品着色、按钮粘贴、药剂包衣、或化妆制剂如唇膏、指甲油、粉饼、香波、松粉和凝胶。以系统总固体量为基准,在所要颜料化的施涂系统中颜料混合物的浓度通常为0.1wt%至70wt%,优选为0.1wt%至50wt%,特别优选为0.5于wt%至10wt%。这通常取决于具体的应用。
包含本发明银颜料的塑料通常以其特别显著的闪光效果而著称,其中所包含的颜料量为0.01-50wt%,具体为0.1-7wt%。
在表面涂料方面,具体为汽车油漆方面,银颜料也以0.1-10wt%的量用于三涂层系统中,所述量优选为1-3wt%。
在表面涂料方面,本发明的颜料的优点在于利用单层罩面漆(单涂层系统或双涂层系统的底涂层)达到目标光泽。与包含云母基多层颜料而不是本发明银颜料的罩面漆相比,包含本发明颜料的面罩漆显示出更清楚的深度效果和更显著的光泽效果。
本发明的银颜料也可以有利地用于修饰性和护理性化妆品中。应用浓度从香波的0.01wt%至松粉中的100wt%。在银颜料与球形填料如SiO2的混合物的情况下,在制剂中的浓度可以为0.01-70wt%。化妆产品如指甲油、唇膏、粉饼、香波、松粉和凝胶因其特别令人感兴趣的光泽效果而著称。与常规指甲油相比,利用本发明颜料的指甲油的闪光效果可以明显提高。另外,本发明的颜料可以在沐浴添加剂、牙膏或食品包衣中应用,例如用作煮熟的甜食、葡萄酒胶质的覆盖色和/或涂层,例如果冻、果仁糖、甘草、糖果、冰棍、发泡饮料、苏打水等的整体着色和/或包衣,或者在医药领域在标准的包覆片剂中用作包衣。
本发明的颜料可以进一步与商购的填料混合。可以提及的填料例如有天然和合成的云母、尼龙粉末、纯的或填充的蜜胺树脂、滑石、玻璃、高岭土、铝、镁、钙、锌的氧化物或氢氧化物、BiOCl、硫酸钡、硫酸钙、碳酸钙、碳酸镁、碳、以及这些物质的物理或化学组合物。关于填料的具体形状没有限制。例如根据要求,其可以为薄片状、球状或针状。
当然本发明的颜料也可能与化妆原料和任何类型的助剂在制剂中组合。这些物质包括油、脂、腊、成膜剂、防腐剂和通常决定技术特性的助剂等,所述助剂如增稠剂、流变添加剂如斑脱土、锂蒙脱石、二氧化硅、硅酸钙、明胶、高分子量的糖类和/或表面活性助剂等。
包含本发明颜料的制剂可以属于亲脂类、亲水类或疏水类。在具有离散的水相和非水相的非均相制剂的情况下,本发明的颜料在每种情况下均可以在两相中的一相中存在或者另外可在两相间分配。
制剂的pH值可以为1-14,优选为2-11,特别优选为5-8。
本发明颜料在制剂中的浓度没有限制。根据用途,它们可以为0.001(冲洗产品,例如沐浴凝胶)和100%(例如用于特定用途的光泽效果物品)。
另外本发明的颜料也可以与化妆活性组分组合。合适的活性组分有驱虫剂、UV A/BC保护性过滤器(例如OMC、B3和MBC)、抗衰老活性组分、维生素及其衍生物(例如维生素A、C、E等)、自晒黑剂(例如DHA、赤藓酮糖等)、以及其它化妆活性组分如红没药醇、LPO、ectoin、emblica、尿囊素、生物类黄酮及其衍生物。
在系统的颜料化过程中,应用以高度颜料化的浆糊、颗粒、球等形式存在的本发明的干涉颜料已经被证明是特别合适的,其中所述系统如表面涂料的粘合剂系统和凹版印刷、胶印或丝网印刷的印刷油墨、或作为印刷油墨的前体。所述颜料通常以2-35wt%的量而加入到印刷油墨中,优选为5-25wt%,具体为8-20wt%。胶印油墨可以包含高达40wt%或更多的颜料。除了粘合剂和添加剂外,印刷油墨的前体,例如为颗粒状、球状、团等的前体,包含98wt%的本发明颜料。与传统效果颜料相比,包含本发明颜料的印刷油墨显示出更纯的银色调。本发明颜料的颗粒厚度相对较小并因此具有特别好的适印性。
另外,本发明的干涉颜料适用于制备可流动的颜料组合物和干制剂,具体为印刷油墨,其包括一种或多种本发明的银颜料、粘合剂和任选的一种或多种添加剂。
因此本发明还涉及包含本发明银颜料的制剂。
下列实施例的目的是用来解释本发明,而不是限制本发明。
实施例
实施例1颜色从绿经红-紫变为金-绿色的银颜料
在2l去离子水中悬浮100g SiO2薄片(颗粒粒度5-50μm,平均厚度450nm,厚度的标准偏差:5%),并在剧烈搅拌条件下加热至80℃。在pH值为1.6下以4ml/min的速率向该混合物中计量加入12gSnCl4×5H2O和40ml盐酸(37%)在360ml去离子水中的溶液。随后在pH值为1.6下以2ml/min的速率计量加入370ml TiCl4溶液(400gTiCl4/l)。在加入SnCl4×5H2O溶液和TiCl4溶液的过程中均用NaOH溶液(32%)保持pH值恒定。随后用氢氧化钠溶液(32%)调节pH为5.0,并将混合物再搅拌15分钟。
在处理过程中,过滤掉颜料,并用20l去离子水洗涤,在110℃干燥并在850℃下煅烧30分钟。产品为浅绿色的银干涉颜料,当转换角度看时,其经红-紫转换为金-绿色。
实施例2颜色从中性银经红-紫变为金-黄色的银颜料
在2l去离子水中悬浮100g SiO2薄片(颗粒粒度5-50μm,平均厚度450nm,厚度的标准偏差:5%),并在剧烈搅拌条件下加热至80℃。在pH值为1.6下以4ml/min的速率向该混合物中计量加入12gSnCl4×5H2O和40ml盐酸(37%)在360ml去离子水中的溶液。随后在pH值为1.6下以2ml/min的速率计量加入350ml TiCl4溶液(400gTiCl4/l)。在加入SnCl4×5H2O溶液和TiCl4溶液的过程中均用NaOH溶液(32%)保持pH值恒定。随后用氢氧化钠溶液(32%)调节pH为5.0,并将混合物再搅拌15分钟。
在处理过程中,过滤掉颜料,并用20l去离子水洗涤,在110℃干燥并在850℃下煅烧30分钟。产品为银干涉颜料,当转换角度看时,其颜色经红-紫色转换为金-黄色。
实施例3颜色从浅蓝银色经红色变为金-绿色的银颜料
在2l去离子水中悬浮100g SiO2薄片(颗粒粒度5-50μm,平均厚度450nm,厚度的标准偏差:5%),并在剧烈搅拌条件下加热至80℃。在pH值为1.6下以4ml/min的速率向该混合物中计量加入12gSnCl4×5H2O和40ml盐酸(37%)在360ml去离子水中的溶液。随后在pH值为1.6下以2ml/min的速率计量加入340ml TiCl4溶液(400gTiCl4/l)。在加入SnCl4×5H2O溶液和TiCl4溶液的过程中均用NaOH溶液(32%)保持pH值恒定。随后用氢氧化钠溶液(32%)调节pH为5.0,并将混合物再搅拌15分钟。

Claims (9)
1.一种基于低折射率的、透明的、薄片状基质的银颜料,特征在于它们具有由层厚为5-300nm的TiO2组成的高折射率涂层,以及任选的外部保护层。
2.权利要求1所述的银颜料,特征在于所述透明薄片为SiO2薄片、Al2O3薄片、聚合物薄片、单晶或玻璃薄片。
3.权利要求2所述的银颜料,特征在于所述透明薄片为SiO2薄片。
4.权利要求1-3任一项所述的银颜料,特征在于各薄片的平均厚度的标准偏差≤20%。
5.权利要求1-4任一项所述的银颜料,特征在于TiO2为金红石的改性形式。
6.一种制备权利要求1-5任一项所述的银颜料的方法,特征在于通过在含水介质中水解金属盐的湿化学法或通过CVD或PVD法热分解而进行基质涂覆。
7.权利要求1所述的银颜料的用途,用于油漆、涂料、印刷油墨、防伪印刷油墨、塑料、按钮粘贴、陶瓷材料、玻璃、用于种子包覆、作为塑料和纸张的激光标记的掺杂剂、在食品和医药领域中作为着色添加剂、用于化妆品制剂、以及用于制备颜料组合物和干制剂。
8.一种颜料组合物,所述颜料组合物包含一种或多种粘合剂、任选的一种或多种添加剂以及一种或多种权利要求1所述的银颜料。
9.一种干制剂,所述干制剂为包含权利要求1所述的银颜料的球、颗粒、片和团状。
