Abstract

本申请是1999年4月14日提交的60/129,776号临时专利申请的部分继续申请。
本发明一般涉及用于将物品紧固或固定到位的弹性绳索。具体地说,本发明涉及一种弹性绳索,用于穿过诸如铁环的开口,以紧固或固定各种物品,诸如包括鞋子、帽子、衬衫、长裤、大衣、皮带、表带及类似物的服装物品,诸如包、背包、小帆布袋及类似物的包装物以及各种其他物品,他们一般由绳子、带、线、布条、橡皮筋及类似物固定或紧固。
用于紧固诸如鞋子的物品的传统的装置为用带子通过铁环而拉紧鞋边,然后拉紧并打成结。其他装置包括机械封闭物,如插销、钩、或夹子,用于以通过松开插销以将软绳、绳索或带子拉到一新的位置而能够调整的方式固定软绳、绳索或带子。
传统的鞋带和机械紧固件具有很多局限和缺点。在鞋带内打的结可以松动,因此,鞋或其他物品会意外松开。机械封闭物相对昂贵,并且在很多结构中,固定、松开或调整他们很麻烦。
已经认识到需要一种拉曳-张紧弹性绳索,其消除了现有技术的所述类型的紧固装置的上述和其他缺点。尽管在现有技术中具有各种紧固装置,但此前对这些问题没有提供任何适宜或有吸引力的解决方案。
本发明的总的目的是提供弹性绳索,其可以用于紧固、张紧或调整物品,而不需结或机械装置来防止绳索的松动或滑动。
本发明提供了一种适用于穿过一开口的拉曳-张紧弹性绳索。该绳索沿其长度具有一个或多个元件,这些元件在轴向应力减小时,直径扩大或隆起,并且,当轴向应力增大时,他们直径减小。在一个实施例中,绳索包括一段长度的一体的弹性绳子,其在轴向分隔开的位置处隆起。其他实施例提供了一种弹性绳芯,围绕该绳芯配装有柔性绳鞘。当绳索在拉力作用下伸长时,每个隆起元件的外径足够小以能够穿过开口。当拉力释放时,绳鞘的各部分在轴向以一定间隔的位置向外膨胀。向外膨胀的部分具有的直径足够大以阻止绳索在一个方向上穿过开口。

图1-4以10标识出根据本发明一个优选实施例的拉曳-张紧弹性绳索。绳索10有细长的弹性绳芯12构成,围绕绳芯12安装有柔软的绳鞘14。在所示的实施例中,绳索与在诸如鞋子一类的衣物中的具有开口17的铁环16一同使用,绳芯可以形成为实心的圆柱形,如图3的横截面所示。若需要的话,绳索也可以用其他形状。从而绳芯可以是环形的、或它可以是平的带子,其中绳芯具有椭圆或矩形的横截面,鞋带带端18可以连接到绳索的相对的端,该带端18可以为传统的塑料或金属结构。
绳鞘14形成有多个端对端的片段20、22。每个片段具有中部28、28′以及一对跨接中部的端部30、32。如图2内所示相邻的片段公用端部。例如,端部30由片段20和其的中部28′示出的相邻端部22公用。端部用绳芯固定,同时中部与绳芯分离以能够向外柔性凸出或膨胀成隆起形状的扩大部分36、38,如图1和4所示。
绳芯12由弹性材料形成,例如橡胶或适宜的合成聚合物,当在张力作用下受力时,如用户拉曳绳索一端或两端时,该绳芯伸长。示例为由橡胶形成的绳芯。在图1-4的实施例中,柔性绳鞘14有编织的基体形成,该基体包括适宜材料的线绳,如棉花、聚合物、尼龙、聚丙烯或诸如Spandex的弹性物。
图1-4的实施例的绳索10可以由以下方法制造,该方法包括:首先拉伸绳芯12,以使所施加的应力在材料的临界应力之下。这确保不会发生不可恢复的变形。拉伸使绳芯的一部分延长到长度L2,如图2所示。同样,在受力情况下,绳芯具有外径D2。然后,采用可以为传统结构的编织机来围绕绳芯编或织线绳或绞合线。该机器被用来沿绳芯的长度可交替地产生第一或第二种编织图形。用于相应端部30、32的第一编织图形40和42形成有在绳芯放松时其足够紧以与绳芯摩擦抓紧或固定的编织物。用于相应的中部28、28′的第二编织图形44和46形成有其足够松以能够使绳鞘与绳芯分离的编织物。这些编织图形使沿绳索延伸的片段20-26在固定到绳芯的端部和与绳芯分离的中部之间交替。
在完成编织操作后,去除拉应力以使绳索能够呈现如图1和4所示的放松状态。在这个状态下,绳芯段的长度缩小到L1,而绳芯的外径扩大到D1。在每一片段内,绳芯的收缩引起绳鞘端部彼此相向地移动,同时又推抵中部,以使中部隆起并膨胀或向外弯曲成直径D3。适宜选择绳芯和绳鞘的材料类型、尺寸和比例,导致D3相对铁环开口17的内径足够大,以便隆起的中部阻止绳芯在一个方向通过开口穿过。从而如图1所示,形成扩大部分36的隆起的中部比开口17的内径大,以阻止绳索通过铁环向内运动。而如图1所示,在铁环的另一侧具有另一个相似的隆起的中部(未示出),那么其将防止绳索以相反的方向抽出。在此所用的“阻止”意思为正常使用时扩大的中部防止移动的情况,而在具有从铁环压靠扩大的中部的非正常力时,将使中部压缩并穿过开口。这就栓紧或换句话说固定鞋上部或衣服、包裹或其他装置的一部分,只要是绳索处于放松或非受力状态。
当要松开绳索时,用户只需在绳索的一端或两端拉曳以施加足够大拉力,以使绳芯伸长到其长度L2>L1,同时绳芯的直径向直径D2<D1收缩。绳芯的拉长在每个片段上将绳鞘端部拉开。这又拉伸中部,其从直径D3收缩到比开口17小的尺寸。然后,绳索即可穿过开口,以松开或重新调整被紧固或栓紧的物品或装置。
用作鞋带的根据本发明的一实施例为在非受力状态下具有所需长度的绳索,以用于穿过鞋上部的每个铁环,例如对于上部每侧具有六个铁环的成人尺寸的鞋子,为650mm。在其非受力状态下,绳芯直径D1=4mm,且隆起的扩大部分38外径D3=8mm。穿过一侧的上部铁环的绳索的一端作为示例可以具有L1=100mm的长度。拉曳的拉伸应力施加到这端会引起绳芯伸长到长度L2=200mm,而直径收缩到D2=3mm。在绳索的这端的每个中部收缩回绕伸长的绳芯紧密配合的尺寸,且其足以使绳索穿过铁环。
图5示出了另一实施例,该实施例提供了绳索50,其由一段长度的弹性绳芯52构成,该绳芯与图1-4所述的类似地制造。编织材料的绳鞘54,与对图1-4所述的实施例类似,围绕着绳芯,且沿其长度具有相同的编织图形。通过缝制的各线56、58、60形成多个片段,当绳芯处于拉应力下时,各线以轴向间隔开的位置穿透绳鞘而进入绳芯内。缝制的相邻的各线形成跨过中部66的一对端部62、64。中部和端部的功能与图1-4的实施例所描述的相似。当拉应力释放时,绳芯收缩,因此,在每个片段的端部移动到一起,从而将中部推成膨胀的形状,该形状足够大以阻止绳索穿过适宜尺寸的铁环或其他的开口。
图6示出包括具有与图1-4的实施例所述的相似成份的拉伸的弹性绳芯的绳索68的另一实施例,管状的绳鞘72围绕绳芯的外表面配装,且绳鞘由适宜的柔性顺从材料形成,诸如例如橡胶的自然聚合物或合成聚合物,诸如热固弹性体材料。绳芯和管状绳鞘可分别形成。然后将绳芯插入并套装在绳鞘内。通过由适宜方法如超声波焊接、热熔合、夹子或铆接将绳鞘的一系列轴向分隔的端部78、80固定到绳芯上以沿绳索形成片段74、76。端部也可以由环形的束带形成,该环形束带为弹性的,围绕绳鞘,将端部紧紧地压靠到绳芯上并与绳芯摩擦接合。端部也可以由适宜的粘结剂固定,该粘结剂施加成在绳鞘和绳芯之间的环形涂附物。
绳索68也可以通过共同拉伸工艺形成,其中绳索和绳芯以将绳鞘脱离绳芯的方式同时拉伸。然后,片段的端部可以通过包括超声波焊接、热熔合、以及与上述类似的方法形成。
图7示出了另一实施例,其提供了包括绳子92的绳索90,绳子由从适宜的弹性可拉伸材料拉伸而成,该材料诸如弹性树脂、聚合物、热固塑料或橡胶。绳子具有一个或多个细长的根部元件94、94′,以及一个或多个轴向分隔开的向外可膨胀的元件96、96′。所示的实施例示出在各元件之间步距一致,而若由特定应用而需要的话可以设置成变化的步距。
绳子92可以由挤压工艺形成,其中材料通过一适宜的模具或喷嘴(未示出)注入,形成了具有与模具的横截面一致形状的横截面的压出物。模具的横截面可以为圆的、椭圆的或按需要的其他几何形状。压出物被引入一池(未示出)中,该池将其充分冷却以使材料开始固化。在进入池内之前,受控量的空气或其他气体被注入压出物的内侧、可膨胀元件要被形成的位置。用于注入空气的喷嘴(未示出)可以同心地延伸过挤压模具,且注入压缩空气的间断脉冲,以便熔融的压出物以一定间隔地隆起到扩大的直径,从而形成如图7所示的间隔开的可膨胀元件。可膨胀元件也可以通过适宜装置围绕冷却池上游的压出物抽真空而形成。
在压出物固化后,绳子可以通过将其拉伸成可膨胀元件收缩成足够小以使其穿过诸如鞋子的铁环的所需的开口的直径而被拉伸。然后,当拉力释放后,可膨胀元件的弹性记忆将使其能够向外膨胀回扩大的直径,该直径足以阻止其穿过开口。
在上述实施例被认为是优选实施例的同时,应理解,可以由本领域技术人员作出各种变得或修改,而这些落入本发明的精髓和范围内的所有变动和修改应涵盖在所附的权利要求中。
Claims (10)
1.一种用于穿过一开口的绳索,所述绳索包括:
弹性绳子,其具有细长的根部元件以及至少一个向外膨胀的元件,根部具有尺寸足以能够穿过开口的第一直径,绳子在给定的轴向拉力的情况下,可膨胀的元件具有足够小以能够穿过开口的第二直径,而可膨胀元件具有弹性记忆,对应小于所述给定拉力的轴向拉力,其足以能够向外膨胀成第三直径,该直径足以阻止绳索穿过开口移动。
2.如权利要求1所述的绳索,其特征在于,绳子由一体的一段长度的弹性材料构成。
3.如权利要求1所述的绳索,其特征在于,绳子包括与围绕绳芯配装的绳鞘在一起的弹性绳芯,绳鞘包括至少一个具有中部和跨过所述中部的端部的片段,该中部形成所述可膨胀元件,而端部与绳芯成固定关系,中部与绳芯分离以在各端部彼此相向地运动的同时,使其向外一起膨胀。
4.如权利要求3所述的绳索,其特征在于,绳鞘由编织材料构成,该编织材料在端部具有第一编织图形,其足够紧以与绳芯摩擦夹紧,并从而在端部和绳芯之间能够形成固定关系。
5.如权利要求1所述的绳索,其特征在于,编织材料在中部具有第二编织图形,其足够松以使中部和绳芯之间能够形成分离关系。
6.如权利要求1所述的绳索,其特征在于,绳鞘由编织材料构成,该编织材料在端部具有第一编织图形,其足够紧以与绳芯摩擦夹紧,并从而在端部和绳芯之间能够形成固定关系;编织材料在中部具有第二编织图形,其足够松以使中部和绳芯之间能够形成分离关系。
