Abstract
本发明提供可进行轻量和良好的接合的摩擦搅拌接合方法。当重合板10和板20时,在板10的重合面侧具有槽12。在另一方的板20的外部具有凸部22。从凸部22侧插入回转工具50进行摩擦搅拌接合。槽12由摩擦搅拌接合充填。其金属的原材料为凸部22。这样,接合部的压力不会变得过大,所以,可抑制重合面的凹口的产生。
Description
本发明涉及重合面的摩擦搅拌接合方法。
在摩擦搅拌接合方法中,一边回转插入到接合部的圆棒(指回转工具)一边沿接合线移动,使接合部发热和软化,产生塑性流动,进行固相接合。回转工具由大直径部和小直径部构成。将小直径部插入到要接合的构件中,使大直径部的端面接触上述构件。在小直径部设有螺纹。
另外,在要接合的2个构件的回转工具的插入侧设置凸部,由该凸部的金属充填2个构件之间的间隙。回转工具的大直径部进入到凸部内。
这些内容公开于特开平11-90655号(USP6050474)。
摩擦搅拌接合也可用于重合面的接合。当对重合构件进行摩擦搅拌接合时,易于在重合面形成凹口。这一点如图4所示。图4(A)示出摩擦搅拌接合途中的纵断面图,图4(B)示出摩擦搅拌接合后的纵断面图。图4(B)为模式图。如图所示,相对重合的构件从上方侧插入回转工具50进行摩擦搅拌接合。影线所示搅拌领域和2个构件的重合面成为上方侧凸起的凹口B。
本发明的目的在于提供一种抑制在重合面产生凹口的摩擦搅拌接合方法。
本发明的特征在于:重合第1构件和第2构件,在上述第1构件的上述重合面沿摩擦搅拌接合方向设有槽,由具有比上述槽的宽度大的直径的小直径部的回转工具,沿上述槽对上述重合面进行摩擦搅拌接合。

图3为图1的接合后的纵断面图。
图4为示出现有接合方法的纵断面图。
下面根据图1-图3说明本发明的一实施例。图3由影线模式示出搅拌区域。板10和板20重合。在板10的重合面(上方侧的面)实质上有四方形的槽12。在板20的上面具有凸部22。板10载置于台架100,与板10一起固定于台架100。板10、20为挤压型材。
摩擦搅拌接合从上方的板20的上方插入回转工具50进行。回转工具50在大直径部51的前端设有小直径部52。在小直径部52设置螺纹。回转工具50的中心插入到凸部22的宽度中心。槽12的中心位于该中心。大直径部51的直径比凸部22的宽度小。槽12的宽度比大直径部51的直径和小直径部52的直径小。
进行摩擦搅拌接合时,使大直径部51的下端位于板20的凸部侧的面的延伸长线与凸部22的顶部之间。小直径部52的前端插入到比槽12的底部更深的位置。在该状态下,使回转工具50一边回转一边沿要接合的线移动。回转工具50的轴心的小直径部52侧比大直径部51侧更位于移动方向的前方。
这样,由于具有成为槽12的空间,所以,搅拌区域的压力不会过大,可抑制上述凹口B的发生。
槽12由搅拌充填。凸部22的金属成为充填槽12的金属原材料。在没有凸部22的场合,板20上面虽被削薄,但由凸部22可对其进行补充,结果可减小板厚。
本发明的技术范围不限于权利要求范围的各权利要求所记载的内容和发明公开部分的内容,也包括本领域技术人员可容易地根据其进行改变的范围。
按照本发明,可进行轻量和良好的摩擦搅拌接合。
Claims (3)
1.一种摩擦搅拌接合方法,其特征在于:重合第1构件和第2构件,在上述第1构件的上述重合面沿摩擦搅拌接合的方向设有槽,由具有比上述槽的宽度大的直径的小直径部的回转工具,沿上述槽对上述重合面进行摩擦搅拌接合。
2.如权利要求1所述的摩擦搅拌接合方法,其特征在于:从上述第2构件侧将上述小直径部插入到比上述槽的深度更深的位置,进行上述摩擦搅拌接合。
3.一种摩擦搅拌接合用挤压型材,其特征在于:具有与另一构件重合的面,该面为与上述另一构件进行摩擦搅拌接合的面,沿挤出方向具有槽。
