发明背景
目前,各种化妆品、洗衣洗涤剂、洗餐具洗涤剂、香波和其他含颗粒的组合物的配方设计师面临各种问题是:阻止释放活性成分并使这种组合物中的所有成分充分发挥其益处。顺便举一例子,最新的小剂量或“袖珍”洗涤剂遇到溶解问题,特别是在低温洗涤溶液中(即小于约30℃)。更具体地说,较差溶解性导致成“块”,作为固体白色物存留在洗衣机中或经通常洗涤循环后仍存留在被洗涤的衣服上。在低温洗涤条件下和/或按下述顺序加入到洗衣机中:先加入洗涤剂、其次加入衣服,最后加入水(通常为众所周知的“次序颠倒加入法”或“ROOA”)时,这些“块”特别常见。类似地,这种成块现象归因于洗涤剂在装有分配器闸门的洗衣机中或其他配料设备中,例如granulette不能完全分散开。在这种情况下,不希望的结果是在配料设备中存在不溶的洗涤剂残余物。

根据本发明另一个方面,提供了制备水溶性组合物的方法。该方法包括下述步骤:(a)提供一种颗粒材料;(b)将至少一部分颗粒材料放入等离子体发光区,其中的气体被离子化在部分颗粒材料上形成自由基,等离子体发光区处于等离子体室内,在压力约为1毫乇~300乇(Torr)、功率约0.1~500瓦条件下操作。(c)步骤(b)后加入水溶性的、有机亲水性单体到等离子体室中,以便有机亲水性单体与部分颗粒材料上的自由基发生反应,目的是在部分颗粒材料上形成水溶性涂层。
本发明中使用的“等离子体发光区”是指空间或区域,其中等离子体是用电产生的,例如在等离子体真空室中介于两电极之间的空间。本发明所使用术语“等离子体室”或“等离子体真空室”包括或能够被概括为流化床、转鼓、振动带和其他类似设备。本发明中所有百分数、比率和比例除非特指,均以重量表示。所有文献包括专利和出版物在此引用作为参考。
因此本发明的一个优点是提供一种组合物,该组合物具有改进的物理性能、溶解度和/或化学稳定性。本发明还有一个优点是以合适的方式提供制备这种组合物的方法。本发明的这些优点及其他优点和特征对于本领域技术人员来说通过阅读下述优选的实施方案和附加权利要求的详细描述会更易于理解。
优选实施方案详述
大体上,本发明涉及颗粒和非颗粒组合物,其中该组合物中含有等离子体诱导的、接枝聚合的、水溶性的涂层。在本发明优选的方式中,颗粒材料选自不溶于水的颗粒,例如那些用于化妆品和香波的组合物;选自水溶性颗粒如喷雾干燥颗粒、附聚物及其混合物,它们常用于洗涤剂组合物中。本发明中非颗粒组合物也可用于洗衣和洗盘中,例如作为洗衣或洗盘片剂、块、圆柱形、片状、立方体或其他非颗粒状构型,颗粒或非颗粒材料经等离子体作用后,通过将颗粒或非颗粒材料暴露于有机亲水单体中,通过接枝聚合形成水溶性涂层。对于接枝聚合过程步骤来说,必须在等离子体室中产生等离子体后才引入有机单体。
优选地,水溶性涂层由有机亲水性单体形成,且更进一步优选地选自丙烯酸酯、甲基丙烯酸酯、丙烯酰胺、甲基丙烯酰胺、马来酸酯、富马酸酯、乙烯基醚及其混合物,更优选地,有机单体选自2-甲基丙烯酸羟乙酯、N,N-二甲基丙烯酰胺、丙烯酸、甲基丙烯酸及其混合物,最优选的有机单体是丙烯酸。
水溶性涂层位于至少部分本发明描述的组合物上,所谓“至少一部分”指的是至少1%,优选90%~100%的颗粒或非颗粒组合物上含有水溶性涂层。应该理解在本发明范围内并不是所有组合物都需要被涂布。最后,采用等离子体涂布法将水溶性涂层涂布在组合物上。下面将详细描述,这一过程是通过使气体离子化如氩气,在等离子体真空室中使用高频电来实现的。合适的气体可以选自氩气、氦气、氧气、氮气及其混合物。本发明中所使用术语“等离子体诱导的、接枝聚合的”指的是使用一种或多种接枝沉积方法进行的沉积、涂布或层压,其中被沉积的材料与等离子体室中等离子体产生过程中在材料表面形成的自由基发生反应、接枝、连接、键接或粘合。
典型的等离子体室中有“等离子体发光区”,该区域介于两个电极之间用于产生高频电流,因此在电极间区域产生等离子体。等离子体室内部压力常保持在约5亳乇~约300乇,进一步优选约10毫乇~约1乇,且最优选约50毫乇~约250毫乇。用于等离子体室的功率选择为约0.1瓦~约500瓦,更优选约0.5瓦~约100瓦,且最优选约1瓦~约10瓦。
将高频电场应用于气体形成气体离子的等离子体用于单体如有机亲水性单体聚合中是已知的方法。该有机亲水性单体适合用于本发明在洗涤剂组合物上形成水溶性涂层,这种方法例如已经在Luster的美国专利2257177中得到描述。一般地,它包括气相中的聚合单体与气体等离子体的连续接触,直到在基体上基本完成接枝聚合。该方法易于形成交联产物,正如美国专利No.3287242中所提到的。与等离子体聚合有关的由于高度交联,这种方法通常用于形成不溶于水的薄膜或涂层而不是目前本发明期望的水溶性涂层。活化作用被限制在其中形成键接和交联的基体表面附近区域。
一种改性的薄膜/涂层形成方法,其中单体直接以气态形式进行聚合,见述于Knox等美国专利3475307。基体被冷却并在基体上冷凝成液态单体的薄层,目的是提高聚合反应速率。但是,在那种方法中,本领域的普通技术人员一定要避免在表面上冷凝“太多”的单体,因为否则从气相中引入的活性分子就不能接触到从气液界面上被去除的单体,结果得到几乎没有粘合力的涂层(10栏,54~60行),聚合之前被冷凝单体的数量级是指几个分子的厚度(4栏,1~4行)。
另一个等离子体涂布法是利用非平衡离子化气体等离子体引发聚合,并在等离子体不存在的情况下完成大部分聚合过程。在这种方式中,形成了高分子量的聚合物。可以任何已知的制备这种等离子体的方法完成离子化气体等离子体的形成。例如参见J.R.Hollahan和A.T.Bell编辑的“等离子体化学应用技术方法”(Wyley,纽约,1974年),M.Shen编辑的“聚合物等离子体化学”(Dekker,纽约,1976年)。在一种方法中,在真空下将可离子化的气体装在与射频发生器连接的两平行板电极之间,该射频发生器购于国际等离子体公司,其型号为“3001型”。等离子体可用这种平行板电极或在等离子体室外或在室内被产生。在另一种方法中,由外部诱导线圈产生电场,该电场制备离子化气体的等离子体。还有另一种方法,相反地,相反电荷的电极点被直接放置于等离子体真空室中,其在空间中相互隔开,产生等离子体。由这些方法形成的任何等离子体或由电场产生的完全处于气相中的电导路径产生的任何其它等离子体均适用于本发明。
本发明所用术语“等离子体”区别于任何液体或固体环境,其中利用电场通过固体或液体路径上产生离子。这并不排除也用电场穿过非气体单体的可能性。但是假如是这样,不确信将会产生任何有益的作用,相反,对于气相等离子体来说,这将是不重要的。等离子体操作参数因单体的不同而不同。通常,优选采用低的气体压力通过释放电子形成辉光放电,释放电子引起气相中的离子化。在室中产生的等离子体包括低于常压压力下的气体,当电极间电势超过足以使气体离子化或“击穿”气体的极限值时就形成了等离子体。它是气体组合物、压力和电极间距离的函数。击穿后,气体是导电的且在很宽电流范围内保持稳定的等离子体。尽管等离子体的精确组成还不知道,但确信其包括电子、离子、自由基和其他反应性物质。
在相关的步骤中,在基体或颗粒材料上产生活性位,可以很容易地从离子化气体中被直接活化。为了此目的,在等离子体中常用条件下可采用存在任何离子化气体。例如,水蒸气可以被离子化产生用于某种单体的活性聚合位。通过这种等离子体被离子化了的其他气体包括氯化氢、四氯化碳和惰性气体如氦气和氖气。那些在等离子体中可离子化的气体在本领域中是众所周知的,被沉积的单体可以是基本纯单体态或以溶液形式存在。在后者情况下,可以采用能够完全溶解单体的有机或无机溶剂。用于某些单体的典型有机溶剂包括苯和丙酮。
对于本发明中描述的任何给定等离子体沉积方法,该方法可以包括使用高频微波使在等离子体室中的气体离子化。替代地,高射频波或直流电均可被使用,例如在等离子体真空室中用于确定等离子体发光区的两个相反电荷电极点之间使气体离子化。另一选择是脉冲或间歇地使等离子体室中等离子体发光区内的气体离子化,以控制单体在颗粒洗涤剂材料上的等离子体诱导沉积。另外在本发明方法中,通过将待用亲水单体的颗粒洗涤剂材料定位在等离子体发光区外可以达到进一步控制等离子体诱导沉积的目的。替代地或另外地,也可以在等离子体发光区外加入水溶性亲水单体,以提供进一步控制沉积。
颗粒或非颗粒材料依次被等离子体作用(即在等离子体室中产生等离子体之后)然后暴露于有机亲水性单体中,最后该单体被接枝聚合在至少一部分颗粒或非颗粒表面上。所谓“接枝聚合”是已知的并与很多接枝共聚物如ABS(丙烯腈-丁二烯-苯乙烯)树脂一起一直用于本领域中,并在工业应用上获得相当大的成功。还已知在本领域中各种乙烯基单体可被接枝聚合到聚合物基体上,该基体先在氧或臭氧存在下用离子化辐射进行处理,并在所述基体表面上形成过氧化基团。美国专利3008920和3070573指出选择的单体接枝到臭氧化的表面上。但是当进行这种接枝聚合时也引起一些问题,例如,一个严重的复杂化问题包括将乙烯基单体接枝聚合到所要求的基体上,但同时伴随和不希望的乙烯基单体的均聚反应和交联,导致形成不溶于水的涂层。相反,本发明涉及组合物和改进具有最低交联的颗粒基体的表面特征以得到水溶性涂层的方法。为此,在前面描述的选定功率和压力下操作等离子体室是重要的。通常,有机单体的接枝聚合需要耗时约1分钟至约40分钟,优选10分钟至约30分钟。
有机单体可以是液体、固体或固-液混合物形式。对于液体单体,通过单体的蒸发提供单体蒸汽给等离子体,使用真空使该过程变得容易。同样地,对于固体单体,这种自由基和/或离子通过升华成单体蒸汽提供。为了使描述简单化,被活化的非蒸汽单体将在本发明中描述为液态,除非具体规定。
水溶性涂层
如前面所提及的,水溶性涂层是由有机亲水性单体形成的,前面也已提到了一些亲水性单体。组合物优选含有有效量的这种单体,以得到要求的溶解度、流动性、化学稳定性和/或其他希望的颗粒或非颗粒组合物功能。在典型的配方中,由接枝到颗粒或非颗粒组合物上的单体形成的涂层,其厚度范围约0.01微米至约1000微米,进一步优选约0.05微米至约50微米,且最优选约0.1微米至约10微米。
合适的有机亲水性单体一般包括水溶性的传统乙烯基单体如:丙烯酸酯类和甲基丙烯酸酯类,其结构通式为:其中R2是氢或甲基;且R3是氢或者是一种最多约10个碳原子的脂肪族烃基,该烃基被一种或多种水溶性基团取代,如羧基、羟基、氨基、较低分子量的烷氨基、较低分子量的二烷氨基、含2~约100个重复单元的聚环氧乙烷基团,或被一种或多种硫酸盐、磷酸盐、磺酸盐、膦酸盐、碳酰氨基(carboxamido)、亚磺酰胺基或膦酰氨基(phosphonamido)或其混合物取代。
丙烯酰胺和甲基丙烯酰胺的通式为其中R2和R3与上述定义相同。
丙烯酰胺和甲基丙烯酰胺的通式为其中R4是1~3个碳原子的低级烷基和R2与上述定义相同。
马来酸酯和富马酸酯的通式为

有用的水溶性单体包括:2-羟乙基、2-和3-羟丙基、2,3-二羟丙基、聚乙氧基乙基和聚乙氧基丙基丙烯酸酯、甲基丙烯酸酯、丙烯酰胺和甲基丙烯酰胺;丙烯酰胺、甲基丙烯酰胺、N-甲基丙烯酰胺、N-甲基甲基丙烯酰胺、N,N-二甲基丙烯酰胺、N,N-二甲基甲基丙烯酰胺;N,N-二甲基和N,N-二乙基-氨乙基丙烯酸酯和甲基丙烯酸酯,以及相应的丙烯酰胺类和甲基丙烯酰胺类;2-和4-乙烯基吡啶;4-和2-甲基-5-乙烯基吡啶;N-甲基-4-乙烯基哌啶;2-甲基-1-乙烯基咪唑;N,N-二甲代烯丙基胺(N,N-dimethylallyalamine);二甲基氨乙基乙烯基醚、N-乙烯基吡咯烷酮;丙烯酸和甲基丙烯酸;衣康酸、巴豆酸、富马酸和马来酸及其低级羟烷基一元和二元酯,如2-羟乙基富马酸酯和马来酸酯,丙烯酸钠和甲基丙烯酸钠;马来酸酐;2-甲基异丁烯酰氧乙基磺酸和烯丙基磺酸。
优选的水溶性单体包括甲基丙烯酸2-羟乙基酯;N,N-二甲基丙烯酰胺;丙烯酸和甲基丙烯酸;且最优选2-甲基丙烯酸羟乙酯。
洗涤剂组分
本发明中描述的颗粒和非颗粒组合物可以作为洗涤剂组合物的形式,其中优选含有去污的表面活性剂和洗涤剂助洗剂,且任选,多种常用洗涤剂成分。洗涤剂组合物中的表面活性剂体系可以包括阴离子、非离子、两性离子、两性和阳离子类以及其相容混合物。洗涤剂表面活性剂见述于美国专利3664961(Norris,1972年5月23日发布)和美国专利3919678(Laughlin等于1975年12月30日发布),在此引用这两篇专利作为参考。阳离子表面活性剂包括下述专利中描述的那些,即美国专利4222905(Cockrell,1980年9月16日发布),美国专利4239659(Murphy,1980年12月16日发布),在此引用这两篇专利作为参考。
表面活性剂体系中非限制性实例包括传统的C11~C18烷基苯磺酸盐(“LAS”)和一元取代的、带支链的和无规的C10~C20烷基磺酸盐(“AS”),通式如下的C10~C18二元取代的(2,3)烷基硫酸盐:

其中x和(y+1)是至少约为7的整数,优选至少约为9,和M是水溶性阳离子,特别是钠,不饱和硫酸盐例如油硫酸盐(oleylsulfate),C10~C18烷基烷氧基硫酸盐(“AExS”,特别是EO 1-7乙氧基硫酸盐),C10~C18烷基烷氧基羧酸盐(特别是E01-5乙氧基羧酸盐),C10~C18甘油醚,C10~C18烷基聚苷和它们相应的硫酸化聚苷,以及C12~C18α-磺酸化脂肪酸酯。如果需要,传统的非离子和两性的表面活性剂如C12~C18烷基乙氧基化物(“AE”)包括所谓的窄峰烷基乙氧基化物和C6~C12烷基酚烷氧基化物(特别是乙氧基化物和混合乙氧基/丙氧基),C12~C18三甲铵乙内酯和磺基三甲铵乙内酯(“sultains”),C10~C18氧化胺等也可被包括在表面活性剂体系中。C10~C18N-烷基多羟基脂肪酸酰胺也可被使用。典型的例子包括C12~C18N-甲基葡糖酰胺,参见WO9206154。其他糖衍生的表面活性剂包括N-烷氧基多羟基脂肪酸酰胺,例如C10~C18N-(3-甲氧基丙基)葡糖酰胺。N-丙基~N-己基C12~C18葡糖酰胺可用于低起泡的情况。也可以使用C10~C20常用皂类。如果需要高起泡能力,可以使用带支链的C10~C16皂类。阴离子和非离子表面活性剂的混合物特别有用。其他常用表面活性剂被列于标准化教材中。
洗涤剂组合物能够包括、且优选包括洗涤剂助洗剂。助洗剂通常选自各种水溶性的、碱金属、铵或取代铵的磷酸盐、多磷酸盐、膦酸盐、多膦酸盐、碳酸盐、硅酸盐、硼酸盐、多羟基磺酸盐、多乙酸盐、羧酸盐和多羧酸盐。优选的是上述碱金属盐,特别是钠盐。本发明优选使用磷酸盐、碳酸盐、硅酸盐、C10~C18脂肪酸、多元羧酸盐及其混合物。更优选的是三聚磷酸钠、焦磷酸四钠、柠檬酸盐、酒石酸盐、一元和二元琥珀酸盐、硅酸钠及其混合物(参见下述内容)。
无机磷酸盐助洗剂的具体例子是三聚磷酸、焦磷酸、聚合度约为6~21的聚偏磷酸、正磷酸的钠和钾盐。多磷酸盐助洗剂的例子是乙烯二膦酸的钠盐和钾盐,乙烷1-羟基-1,1-二膦酸的钠盐和钾盐,乙烷1,1,2-三膦酸的钠盐和钾盐。其他磷的助洗剂化合物被公开于美国专利3159581、3213030、3422021、3422137、3400176和3400148,在此引用这些专利作为参考。
无磷的无机助洗剂的例子是钠和钾的碳酸盐、二元碳酸盐、倍半碳酸盐、四硼酸盐的十水合物、二氧化硅与碱金属氧化物之间的重量比约为0.5~约4.0、优选约1.0~约2.4的硅酸盐。本发明中使用的水溶性的、无磷有机助洗剂包括各种碱金属、铵和取代铵的聚乙酸盐、羧酸盐、聚羧酸盐和多羟基磺酸盐,聚乙酸盐和聚羧酸盐助洗剂的例子是亚乙基二胺四乙酸、腈三乙酸、氧二琥珀酸、苯六酸、苯多元羧酸和柠檬酸的钠、钾、锂、铵和取代铵盐类。
聚合的多羧酸盐助洗剂参见美国专利3308067(Diehl,1967年3月7日发布),在此引用其公开内容作为参考。这种材料包括脂肪族羧酸如马来酸、衣康酸、中康酸、富马酸、阿康酸、柠檬酸和亚甲基甜瓜酸的均聚物和共聚物的水溶性盐类。其中一些材料在本发明后序描述中可用作水溶性阴离子聚合物,但是只有在与非皂类阴离子表面活性剂紧密掺混时。
其他用于本发明的合适多羧酸盐是聚缩醛羧酸盐,见述于美国专利4144226(Crutchfield等,1979年3月13日发布)和美国专利4246495(Crutchfield等,1979年3月27日发布),在此引用这两篇专利作为参考。这些聚缩醛羧酸盐可在聚合条件下将二羟乙酸的酯和聚合引发剂放在一起而制备,然后将所得聚缩醛羧酸酯连接到化学稳定的端基上,使聚缩醛羧酸盐稳定以防止在强碱溶液中迅速解聚,转化成相应的盐,并加入到洗涤剂组合物中。特别优选的多羧酸盐助洗剂是醚羧酸盐助洗剂组合物,包括酒石酸单琥珀酸盐和酒石酸二琥珀酸盐的混合物,见述于美国专利4663071(Bush等,1987年5月5日发布),在此引用其公开内容作为参考。
水溶性硅酸盐固体由通式SiO2·M2O表示,M是碱金属,其重量比SiO2∶M2O约为0.5~约4.0,该盐在本发明洗涤剂颗粒中是有用的,以无水重量为基准其含量约2%~约15%,优选约3%~约8%。也可以使用无水或水合颗粒硅酸盐。
在颗粒洗涤剂组合物中也可以包括任何数量的添加成分作为其组分。这些成分包括其他洗涤用助洗剂、漂白剂、漂白活性剂、增泡剂或抑泡剂、防晦暗剂和防腐剂、污垢悬浮剂、污垢释放剂、杀菌剂、pH调节剂、非助洗剂碱源、螯合剂、绿土粘土、酶、酶稳定剂和香料,参见美国专利3936537(Baskerville.Jr等,1976年2月3日发布),在此引用作为参考。
漂白剂和活化剂见述于美国专利4412934(Chung等,1983年11月1日发布)和美国专利4483781(Hartman,1984年11月20日发布),在此引用两篇专利作为参考。螯合剂也见述于Bush等的美国专利4663071从17栏54行至第18栏68行,在此引用作为参考。辅助改性剂也是任选的成分,见述于美国专利3933672(Bartoletta等,1976年1月20日发布)和4136045(Gault等,1979年1月23日发布),在此引用两篇专利作为参考。

化妆品组分
本发明中组合物也可以是化妆品组合物或化妆品组分的形式。一般地,以所有组合物总重量计,这种组合物含约0.1%~约20%的不溶性颗粒,更优选约0.25%~约15%,最优选约0.5%~约10%。本发明组合物是清洁性组合物时,这种不溶性颗粒用于增强清洁效应。本发明使用的术语“不溶性的”指的是本发明组合物中颗粒是基本不溶性的。特别是,不溶性颗粒应该在25℃时每100克组合物中溶解度小于约1克,优选在25℃时每100克组合物中溶解度小于约0.5克,更优选在25℃时每100克组合物中溶解度小于约0.1克。
本发明中有用的是既能微粉化又是通常大小的不溶性颗粒。对于大部分情况来说,微粉化颗粒是大小小于触觉最低限度并对皮肤基本上无磨蚀的那些颗粒。通常大小颗粒是触觉可感觉到的,加入后它们提供擦洗和磨蚀效应。
微粉化颗粒具有平均颗粒直径和颗粒尺寸分布以使其低于大多数使用者的触觉感觉最低限度,然而不这么小以至于对于去除油脂、污物和碎屑(如化妆品)时是无效的。本发明发现颗粒平均直径大于约75微米时,在清洁过程中是触觉感知的,如果需要不被使用者感觉到颗粒的话,减少这些较大粒子的数量是重要的。相反,发现颗粒的平均粒径小于约1~约5微米时,对于提供清洁效果来说通常具有很差的效果。不受本理论的限制,相信微粉化清洁颗粒大小应该与被去除的污物、油脂或碎屑层厚度的数量级相同。该层确信在大多数情况下其厚度的数量级具有几个微米。因此发现本发明中微粉化颗粒平均粒径应该是约1~约75微米,更优选约15~约60微米,最优选约20~约50微米,以便在没有触觉感觉的情况下可提供有效清洁效果。如果满足颗粒尺寸的要求,本发明可以使用形状、表面特征、硬度特征等很宽范围内的颗粒。本发明微粉化颗粒可衍生自各种各样的材料,包括衍生自无机、有机、天然和合成材料的材料。这些材料中非限制性的实例包括选自杏仁粉、矾土、氧化铝、硅酸铝、杏种子粉末、attapulgite、大麦粉、氯氧化铋、一氮化硼、碳酸钙、磷酸钙、焦磷酸钙、硫酸钙、纤维素、白垩、壳多糖、粘土、玉米穗轴粉、玉米穗轴粉末、玉米面粉、玉米粉、玉米淀粉、硅藻土、磷酸二钙、磷酸二钙二水合物、漂泊土、水合二氧化硅、羟基磷灰石、氧化铁、西蒙得木种子淀粉、高岭土、丝瓜络、三硅酸镁、云母、微晶纤维素、蒙脱土、燕麦麸、燕麦面粉、燕麦粉、桃仁粉、山核桃壳粉、聚丁烯、聚乙烯、聚异丁烯、聚甲基苯乙烯、聚丙烯、聚苯乙烯、聚氨基甲酸酯、尼龙、特氟隆(即聚四氟乙烯)、多卤代烯烃、浮石稻麸、黑麦面粉、绢云母、二氧化硅、蚕丝、碳酸氢钠、硅铝酸钠、大豆粉合成水辉石、滑石、氧化锡、二氧化钛、磷酸三钙、胡桃壳粉、麦麸、麦粉、麦淀粉、硅酸锆及其混合物。由混合的聚合物制备微粉化颗粒也是有用的(例如共聚物、三聚物等),如:聚乙烯/聚丙烯共聚物、聚乙烯/丙烯/异丁烯共聚物、聚乙烯/苯乙烯共聚物等。通常地,聚合物和混合的聚合物颗粒通过氧化法处理以破坏杂质等。聚合物和混合的聚合物颗粒也可任选地用各种常用交联剂进行交联,其非限定性例子包括丁二烯、二乙烯基苯、亚甲基双丙烯酰胺、蔗糖的烯丙基醚、季戊四醇的烯丙基醚及其混合物。其他有用的微粉化颗粒例子包括蜡和树脂如石蜡、巴西棕榈蜡、地蜡、小烛树蜡、脲甲醛树脂等。当这种蜡和树脂用于本发明时,这些材料在室温下和皮肤温度下呈固体是重要的。
在优选的不溶于水的、微粉化颗粒材料中,本发明有用的合成聚合物颗粒选自聚丁烯、聚乙烯、聚异丁烯、聚甲基苯乙烯、聚丙烯、聚苯乙烯、聚氨基甲酸乙酯、尼龙、特氟隆及其混合物。最优选的是聚乙烯和聚丙烯微粉化颗粒,且这些材料的氧化形式是特别优选的。商业可购买的用于本发明的颗粒的例子包括A Cumist.TM.微粉化聚乙烯蜡,可购于Allied Signal(Morristown,N.J.),可买到各种平均粒子大小为5微米~60微米的A、B、C和D系列。优选的是ACumist.TM.A-25、A-30和A-45氧化聚乙烯颗粒,其平均粒子大小分别为25、30和45微米。商业上可购买的聚丙烯颗粒的例子包括Propyltex系列,可从Micro Powders(Dartek)购买。
传统尺寸的不溶性颗粒对于本领域的配方化学家来说是已知的。这些颗粒通常比本发明描述的微粉化颗粒要大些。这些颗粒通常的平均粒径约75微米或大于75微米,正好是前面所描述的触觉极限。这些常用大小的颗粒通常的平均粒子大小范围最高约为400微米和大于400微米。这些颗粒可以由刚刚所述的作为微粉化颗粒的同种材料制备。在优选的用于本发明的传统尺寸颗粒材料是合成的聚合物颗粒,该颗粒选自聚丁烯、聚乙烯、聚异丁烯、聚甲基苯乙烯、聚丙烯、聚苯乙烯、聚氨基甲酸乙酯、尼龙、特氟隆及其混合物。最优选的是聚乙烯和聚丙烯微粉化颗粒,特别优选的是这些材料的氧化形式。用于本发明的可商业购买的常用大小颗粒的例子是ACuscrub.TM.51,可从Allied Signal(Morristown,N.J.)购买,平均粒子大小约为125微米。
根据本发明也期望含有等离子体涂布的颗粒的其他产品形式。例如,McAtee等美国专利5665364和LaFleur等美国专利5683706,公开了适用于本发明含水溶性涂层的等离子体涂层的化妆品组合物和各种颗粒成分。
下面的实例仅仅是为了阐述目的,而不能理解为以任何方式限制附加权利要求的范围。
实例Ⅰ
将具有下述表Ⅰ中所示的组成的洗盘片剂放置于等离子体放电装置的真空室的底电极上(可从APS公司购买,型号为D)。等离子体室被减压至20毫乇。载气混合物(氩气/氧气比例为1∶1)以恒定速率(10sccm)连续引入室内,通过连续抽真空和引入载气二者平衡使室内压力保持在63毫乇。在保持上述条件的同时,通过提供频率为40kHz的高频率电力(200瓦),5分钟后,在室内产生低温等离子体,以便使片剂的表面暴露于低温等离子体中。此后,将有机亲水性单体(丙烯酸)以恒定速率引入室内,以保持室内200毫乇恒压10分钟,将其沉积在片剂上,期间没有等离子体产生。室内被抽真空(30毫乇)并淹没在常压空气中。所得片剂上具有由沉积单体形成的水溶性涂层。不希望片剂的水溶解度等于未被涂布的片剂且优于被除了等离子体沉积以外的方法涂布的片剂。

实例Ⅱ-Ⅳ
根据本发明制备的几种洗涤剂组合物和具体用于顶端加料洗衣机的几种洗涤剂组合物用丙烯酸单体涂布。具体地说,原型设备是用改进的旋转蒸汽机构成的,该蒸汽机带有用于处理室的12英寸(30.5cm)石英管和缠绕6英寸(15.25cm)长的外部线圈电极。洗涤剂组合物的50克样品被放置于等离子体发光区内,并将氩气引入等离子体室内,该室在15分钟内保持压力为200毫乇、通过使用13.6mHz射频功率系统的感应偶极体系输出功率为100瓦,同时以10rpm的转速旋转反应器圆桶。然后洗涤剂组合物在下述条件下在等离子体中用氧处理15分钟,即通过使用13.6mHz射频功率系统的感应偶极系统产生输出功率为100瓦,同时以10rpm的转速旋转反应器圆桶。经等离子体处理后,将丙烯酸蒸汽加入到室中,该室保持在500毫乇,并在洗涤剂组合物上进行接枝聚合20分钟。所得组合物例举如下。碱性小颗粒是通过传统的喷雾干燥法制备的,其中初始成分被形成为淤浆并通过喷雾干燥塔,塔内含有逆流热空气(200~300℃),导致形成多孔小颗粒。掺混附聚物由各种起始洗涤剂成分的两股进料形成,其中该起始洗涤剂成分以1400kg/hr的速率连续进料,加入到L_dige CB-30混合器/密化器中,其中之一包括含有表面活性剂和水的表面活性剂浆料,另一股进料含有起始干燥洗涤剂材料,而起始干燥洗涤剂材料含有铝硅酸盐和碳酸钠。L_dige CB-30混合器/密化器中轴的旋转速度约是1400rpm。来自L_dige CB-30混合器/密化器中物料连续加入到L_dige KM-600混合器/密化器中进一步进行附聚。然后将所得到的洗涤剂附聚物喂入到流化床干燥器和流化床冷却器中,然后与喷雾干燥的小颗粒进行掺混。剩下的添加剂洗涤剂成分通过喷雾或干燥加入到附聚物和小颗粒的共混物中。

Claims (20)
1、一种组合物,其包括:
一种颗粒材料,至少一部分这种颗粒材料含有等离子体诱导的、接枝聚合的、水溶性的涂层,其中所述水溶性涂层是通过下述方法形成的,在等离子体室中将气体离子化在所述颗粒材料的所述部分形成自由基,然后将有机亲水性单体通过接枝聚合沉积到所述颗粒材料的所述部分上,以便在所述颗粒材料的所述部分形成所述水溶性涂层。
2、权利要求1中的组合物,其中所述有机单体选自丙烯酸酯、甲基丙烯酸酯、丙烯酰胺、甲基丙烯酰胺、马来酸酯、富马酸酯、乙烯基醚及其混合物。
3、权利要求1中的组合物,其中所述有机单体选自甲基丙烯酸2-羟乙基酯、N,N-二甲基丙烯酰胺、丙烯酸、甲基丙烯酸及其混合物。
4、权利要求1中的组合物,其中所述有机单体是丙烯酸。
5、权利要求1中的组合物,其中所述颗粒材料选自喷雾干燥颗粒、附聚物及其混合物。
6、权利要求1中的组合物,其中所述颗粒材料包括去污的表面活性剂,该去污的表面活性剂选自阴离子表面活性剂、非离子表面活性剂、阳离子表面活性剂及其混合物。
7、权利要求1的洗衣洗涤剂组合物。
8、权利要求1的洗餐具洗涤剂组合物。
9、权利要求1的化妆品组合物。
10.一种制备组合物的方法,其包括下述步骤:
(a)提供一种颗粒材料;
(b)将至少一部分所述颗粒材料放入等离子体发光区,其中的气体被离子化在所述颗粒材料的所述部分上形成自由基,其中所述等离子体发光区处于等离子体室内,所述等离子体室在压力为约1毫乇~约300乇、功率约0.1瓦~约500瓦条件下进行操作;
(c)步骤(b)后加入水溶性的、有机亲水性单体到所述室中,以便使所述有机亲水性单体与所述颗粒材料的所述部分上的所述自由基发生反应,目的是在所述颗粒材料的所述部分上形成水溶性涂层。
11.权利要求10的方法,其中所述有机单体选自丙烯酸酯、甲基丙烯酸酯、丙烯酰胺、甲基丙烯酰胺、马来酸酯、富马酸酯、乙烯醚及其混合物。
12.权利要求10的方法,其中所述气体选自氩气、氦气、氧气、氮气及其混合物。
13.权利要求10的方法,其中所述有机单体以选自蒸汽、液体或其混合物的形式被加入。
14.权利要求10中的方法,其中所述有机单体在所述室中用声波喷嘴(acoustic nozzles)被雾化。
15.权利要求10中的方法,其中所述气体用高频微波离子化。
16.权利要求10中的方法,其中所述气体用高射频波离子化。
17.权利要求10中的方法,其中所述气体用直流电离子化。
18.权利要求10中的方法,其中所述气体通过脉冲作用离子化。
19.权利要求10中的方法,其中所述洗涤剂材料被放置在所述等离子体发光区的外部。
20.权利要求10中的方法,其中所述有机单体被加入到所述等离子体发光区的外部。
