Description
发明的领域
本发明涉及一种负性彩色感光组合物,可较好地适用于生产液晶显示元件和固态图像捕获元件中的彩色滤光片,以及它的彩色固化膜像素,并可应用于其它包含此种组合物的液晶显示元件和固态图像捕获元件。
发明的背景
彩色滤光片的应用是为了在以下的设备中提供调色性:液晶显示元件,如常用于笔记本电脑和液晶电视中的液晶显示器等设备;电晶体捕获元件,通常指电荷藕荷元件(CCD),它常用于数码照相机,彩色复印机等输入设备。现有的生产液晶显示元件和固态图像捕获元件中的彩色滤光片的方法有:染色法,电沉积法,印刷法和颜料分散法。
在染色法中,滤光片是在染色基料上进行染色来制备的,染色基料可由诸如白明胶,动物胶和酪蛋白之类的天然树脂,或诸如胺改性的聚乙烯醇之类的合成树脂,与一种染料(如酸性染料)制成。这种方法可提供较好的光谱特性和颜色纯度。但在这种方法的生产过程中,很难控制好染色和粘附特性的均匀一致,易于带来颜色的不规整性,还有在染色过程中,需要采用防染印花,从而带来了工艺的复杂性。
在电沉积法中,最初制成一个带有预设图案的透明电极,然后在包含颜料(溶解或分散在溶剂中)的离子化树脂中施加电压,在预设图案上形成了一个彩色图像,从而制备成彩色滤光片。除了制备显像用的透明电极的工艺外,电沉积法的工艺过程还包括:制备用于形成彩色滤光片的透明电极上的膜片的工艺,以及蚀刻工艺。在后面的两个额外工艺过程中,一有短路发生,就会使电路配线产生缺陷,从而带来产量的降低。还有,原则上这种方法很难应用于条形排列以外的其它排列,比如马赛克排列。再有,透明的电极较难控制。
印刷法比较简单,它是采用胶印工艺来制备彩色滤光片,使用的油墨是将颜料分散在热固性树脂或紫外光固性树脂中。但这种方法较难用于滤光片的生产中,因为使用的油墨具有高的粘度,并易于遭受灰尘,外来物和油墨粘合剂的胶凝部分的影响。再有,由于这种方法的印刷精度较低,会带来位置精确度,线宽精确度和平面光滑度方面的问题。
在颜料分散法中,彩色滤光片是通过影印工艺来制备的,使用了彩色感光组合物(其中颜料均匀一致地分散在感光树脂中)。因为使用了颜料,这种方法可以提供较好地抗热性和抗光照性,并由于采用了照相平印工艺,这种方法也提供了足够的位置精确度,可较好地应用于生产大屏幕高精度显示器中的滤光片。但跟染料相比,颜料的光谱特性和颜色纯度不够好,并且染料可以调整成所有的光谱色,而颜料的调整范围小。再有,颜料容易在形成的像素中带来表面粗糙度。
在上述的方法中,如今在滤光片的生产中主要采用的是颜料分散法。在颜料分散法中,迫切需要有一种彩色感光组合物,它除了具有较好的保存稳定性外,还应具有较好的以下特性:光滑度,分辨率,成形性,抗热性,抗光照性,光谱特性,生产过程的简单性,以及感光度。
本发明涉及一种负性彩色感光组合物,它同时具有染料法和颜料分散法的优点,也就是说具有较好的以下特性:光滑度,分辨率,易成形性,抗热性,抗光照性,光谱特性,生产的简单性,以及感光度,并且本发明的目的是生产一种具有较好的保存稳定性的负性彩色感光组合物,同时不削弱它的常规性能。
发明的描述
本发明涉及到以下的化合物,方法和要素:
(1)一种负性彩色感光组合物,包含:粘合剂聚合物,可光聚合的单体或低聚物,光聚合引发剂,聚合抑制剂,染料和有机溶剂,其中光聚合抑制剂是N-亚硝基苯羟胺盐。
(2)按照(1)制成的负性彩色感光组合物,其中的N-亚硝基苯羟胺盐是N-亚硝基苯羟胺铵盐或金属盐。
(3)按照(1)或(2)制成的负性彩色感光组合物,其中的粘合剂聚合物是碱溶性树脂。
(4)按照(1)或(2)制成的负性彩色感光组合物,其中的粘合剂聚合物是水溶性树脂。
(5)按照(1)至(4)中的任一方法制成的负性彩色感光组合物,其中的染料是可溶于有机溶剂的染料。
(6)一种制备彩色滤光片的方法:将上述(1)至(5)中的任一项所述的负性彩色感光组合物涂布到基底上,经光照后,曝光的部分被固化,未曝光的部分用活化剂水溶液和/或碱性水溶液进行显影和去除,再用水漂洗。
(7)一种彩色滤光片,彩色滤光片的像素是按照(6)来制备的,其中至少一种颜色的像素是上述(1)至(5)中的任一项所述的负性彩色感光组合物的固化膜片。
(8)一种液晶显示元件,具有如(7)所述的彩色滤光片。
(9)一种固态图像捕获元件,具有如(7)所述的彩色滤光片。
实施本发明的最佳方式
下文将进一步地详细描述本发明。在下文的描述中,除非特别指明,“份数”指的是“质量份数”,“%”指的是“质量百分比”。
本发明的负性彩色感光组合物的特点是包含以下物质:粘合剂聚合物,可光聚合的单体或低聚物,光聚合引发剂,N-亚硝基苯羟胺盐,染料和有机溶剂。
对于本发明中用到的粘合剂聚合物,采用的是那些可起着色剂作用、并在生产彩色滤光片的显影工艺中可溶于显影剂中的粘合剂。较好的实例包括碱溶性树脂和水溶性树脂。
对于本发明中用到的碱溶性树脂,最好是使用一种带有羧基的聚合物,具体来讲最好是使用由以下单体的混合物形成的共聚物(下文中简称为“带有羧基的共聚物”):至少含有一个羧基的烯型不饱和单体(下文中简称为“带有羧基的不饱和单体”)和另一个可共聚的烯型不饱和单体(下文中称为“另一个不饱和单体”)。
对于上述的“带有羧基的不饱和单体”,可采用的例子包括:不饱和的一元羧基酸,如含有2到3个碳原子的链状的不饱和一元羧酸(丙烯酸,甲基丙烯酸,丁烯酸,α-氯丙烯酸和乙基丙烯酸);环状的不饱和一元羧酸,如肉桂酸;不饱和的二元羧酸,如马来酸,马来酐,反丁烯二酸,衣康酸,衣康酐,柠康酸,柠康酐以及中康酸;及带有两个以上羧基的不饱和的聚羧酸(酐)。这些带有羧基的烯键型不饱和单体可以单独使用,也可混合使用。

对于水溶性的树酯,可采用的实例包括:丙烯酰基树酯,甲基丙烯酰基树酯,聚乙烯醇树酯,聚乙烯吡咯烷酮树酯以及丙烯酰吗啉树酯。具体来讲,丙烯酰基树酯的实例包括:丙烯酸、丙烯酸钠,丙烯酰胺等的聚合物及它们的共聚物。甲基丙烯酰基树酯的实例包括:甲基丙烯酸、甲基丙烯酸钠,2-羟基甲基丙烯酸等的聚合物及它们的共聚物。
在本发明中,上述的粘合剂聚合物可单独使用也可混合使用。粘合剂聚合物的量一般占负性彩色感光组合物固体组分总量的5%到80%,较好是10%到60%,最好是15%到35%。当粘合剂聚合物的量小于5%时,碱性显影特性就会变差,用于形成像素的部分以外的某些区域会产生底部表面污点和残留膜。当粘合剂聚合物的量大于80%时,染料的浓度相对较低,有时在较薄的膜片中难以获取期望的颜色饱和度。
用作粘合剂聚合物的共聚物的重量平均分子量一般为2000到1000000,较好是3000到400000。当其重量平均分子量不在2000到1000000的范围内时,感光度和显影特性会变差。
对于本发明中的可光聚合的单体和低聚物,可采用的实例包括:单(甲基)丙烯酸酯,如(甲基)丙烯酸2-羟基乙酯,(甲基)丙烯酸2-羟基丙酯,(甲基)丙烯酸2-乙基己酯,(甲基)丙烯酸甘油酯;二(甲基)丙烯酸酯,如乙二醇二(甲基)丙烯酸酯,二甘醇二(甲基)丙烯酸酯,三甘醇二(甲基)丙烯酸酯,四甘醇二(甲基)丙烯酸酯,五甘醇二(甲基)丙烯酸酯,环氧化双酚A二(甲基)丙烯酸酯,环氧化双酚F二(甲基)丙烯酸酯,环氧化双酚芴二(甲基)丙烯酸酯;三(甲基)丙烯酸酯,如三(甲基)丙烯酸三羟甲基丙酯,季戊四醇三(甲基)丙烯酸酯;四(甲基)丙烯酸酯,如季戊四醇四(甲基)丙烯酸酯;六(甲基)丙烯酸酯,如二季戊四醇六(甲基)丙烯酸酯。在这些可光聚合的单体中,最好是使用由季戊四醇和(甲基)丙烯酸生成的单、二、三、四、五或六(甲基)丙烯酸酯。
以上可光聚合的单体或低聚物可单独使用也可混合使用。其总量一般占负性彩色感光组合物固体组分的总量的5%到60%,较好是10%到50%,最好是25%到45%。
对于本发明中使用的光聚合引发剂,最好是使用对高压汞灯(曝光光源通常选用高压汞灯)发出的紫外线的g线(436nm),h线(405nm)和i线(365nm)有较高感光度的引发剂。
光聚合引发剂的总量一般占固体组分总量的0.5%到50%,较好是1%到30%,最好是15%到25%。

对于本发明中的N-亚硝基苯羟胺盐,可采用的实例包括铵盐和金属盐。金属盐的实例包括:铝盐和铈盐。上述的N-亚硝基苯羟胺盐可混合使用,也可与其它类型的聚合抑制剂(如对甲氧基苯酚,对苯二酚,焦棓酚,叔丁基邻苯二酚,氯化亚铜,2,6-二-叔丁基-对-甲酚,等等)配合使用。包含N-亚硝基苯羟胺盐在内的光聚合抑制剂的总量一般占负性彩色感光组合物固体组分的总量的0.0001%到5%,较好是0.001%到3%,最好是0.005%到2%。
对于染料,最好是采用那些具有适用于彩色滤光片的光谱特性的染料。为了制备具有较好光谱特性和颜色纯度的精细像素的彩色滤光片,最好是加入染料,并应适当选择和使用可溶于有机溶剂的染料。这类染料包括酸性染料,碱性染料,直接染料,硫化染料,瓮染料,萘酚染料,活性染料,分散染料等等。可适用的染料可参见《Dye Handbook》(Maruzen Co.,Ltd.),《Dye Chemistry》(Shikisensha Co.,Ltd.),以及《Color Chemical Dictionary》(CMC Publishing Co.,Ltd.).

染料一般较难溶于有机溶剂。例如,为了增加染料在有机溶剂中的溶解性,常常使用胺盐染料和磺酰胺染料。胺盐染料是由一代或多代胺(诸如正丙基胺和乙基己基丙酸胺之类的有机胺)与酸性染料、碱性染料或其它的染料反应生成。磺酰胺染料是由一代或多代胺(诸如正丙基胺和乙基己基丙酸胺之类的有机胺)与酸性染料、碱性染料或其它的染料的磺酸基团反应生成。这些用胺修饰过的染料也可用于本发明中的负性彩色感光组合物。在这些染料中含有金属元素的染料能够理想地发挥本发明的效果,其中含过渡金属的染料效果更好。
这些染料可单独使用;而利用染料可以调整其光谱特性以制备各种颜色的特点,混合溶解两种或多种染料来调整色调可以获取期望的光谱特性。染料的总量一般占负性彩色感光组合物固体组分的总量的0.5%到50%,较好是10%到40%,最好是15%到20%。
有机溶剂最好是能够溶解负性彩色感光组合物的以下组分:粘合剂聚合物,可光聚合的单体或低聚物,光聚合引发剂和染料。可采用的有机溶剂包括:苯系列(如苯、甲苯、二甲苯);溶纤剂系列(如甲基溶纤剂、乙基溶纤剂、丁基溶纤剂);乙酸溶纤剂系列(如乙酸甲基溶纤剂、乙酸乙基溶纤剂、乙酸丁基溶纤剂);乙酸丙二醇单烷基醚系列(如乙酸丙二醇单甲醚、乙酸丙二醇单乙醚、乙酸丙二醇单丁醚);丙酸酯系列(如甲氧基丙酸甲酯、甲氧基丙酸乙酯、乙氧基丙酸甲酯、乙氧基丙酸乙酯);乳酸酯系列(如乳酸甲酯、乳酸乙酯、乳酸丁酯);二甘醇系列(如二甘醇单甲醚、二甘醇单乙醚);乙酸酯系列(如乙酸甲酯、乙酸乙酯、乙酸丁酯);醚系列(如甲醚、乙醚、四氢呋喃、二烷);以及酮系列(如丙酮、甲基乙基酮、甲基丁基酮、环己酮)。
这些溶剂可以单独使用,也可混合使用。若以负性彩色感光组合物固体组分的总量为100份,则有机溶剂的总量一般为50到2000份,较好是100到1000份,最好是300到600份。
本发明的负性彩色感光组合物是通过在溶解机或共混机等设备中搅拌和溶解上述的粘合剂聚合物,可光聚合的单体或低聚物,光聚合引发剂,染料,光聚合抑制剂及有机溶剂来生产的。在本文中,若使用了下述的可选组分,主要组分的量的计算不包括这些可选组分。
如果需要,可向负性彩色感光组合物中加入各种添加剂,例如填料,表面活性剂,热聚合抑制剂,接触加速剂,抗氧化剂,紫外吸收剂,阻凝剂,热固化树脂,以及热聚合引发剂。其中对于热固化树脂,可采用的实例包括:环氧树脂(如双酚A二环氧甘油醚,乙二醇二环氧甘油醚,丁二醇二环氧甘油醚,己二醇二环氧甘油醚,二羟基联苯二环氧甘油醚,邻苯二甲酸二环氧甘油酯,以及N,N-二环氧甘油基苯胺),和三聚氰胺树脂(如六甲氧基甲基三聚氰胺)。
依照本发明获得的负性彩色感光组合物在作为产品装运前要通过过滤器等设备将外来物质精确地滤除。
本发明中的彩色滤光片中的像素中至少有一种颜色是由上述的负性彩色感光组合物的固化膜片形成的。例如,对于由三色构成的彩色滤光片,一种或两种颜色的像素是由上述的负性彩色感光组合物形成的,而其余颜色的其它像素是由颜料分散型彩色感光组合物形成,或者是三种颜色的所有像素都由负性彩色感光组合物形成。对于颜料分散型彩色感光组合物中所使用的颜料,可采用的实例包括:红色颜料(C.I.颜料红177,254);绿色颜料(C.I.颜料绿7,36);蓝色颜料(C.I.颜料蓝15:6,60);黄色颜料(C.I.颜料黄83,139,150);紫红颜料(C.I.颜料红81,122,209);蓝绿颜料(C.I.颜料蓝15:3)。将这些颜料调配成期望的光谱特性,再加入到颜料分散型彩色感光组合物中。
例如在彩色滤光片的生产过程中,本发明中的负性彩色感光组合物通过旋转涂布法,滚筒涂布法,板条涂布等方法涂布到玻璃基底,硅基底等物质的表面(膜片厚度为0.1到5μm),并要进行前期烘焙以形成膜片。再采用影印法通过预设的面罩对膜片进行辐射(例如,电子束,紫外光,等等,最好是紫外光),随之用活性试剂水溶液,碱性水溶液或者是(活性试剂+碱)水溶液对膜片进行显影,以去除未曝光的部分,然后在用水漂洗后,再进行后期烘焙以获得彩色固化膜像素。
利用本发明的负性彩色感光组合物形成的彩色固化膜像素构成的彩色滤光片,可以生产出液晶显示元件。例如液晶显示元件可以按以下顺序的层次结构来生产:背景灯,极化膜,显示电极,液晶,校正膜片,公共电极,本发明的彩色滤光片,极化膜等。再有,可以通过以下方法来生产固态图像捕获元件:在硅晶片(硅晶片上预先放置了移动电极和光电二极管)的上面放置本发明的滤光片,然后将微镜头迭放在上面。对于其中的彩色滤光片的颜色组分,基色包括:红、绿和蓝,合成色包括:黄、洋红、蓝绿和绿。

通过混和以下组分来制备本发明中的负性感光组合物:0.12g的聚乙烯吡咯烷酮(重量平均分子量为45000),用作粘合剂聚合物;0.24g的Kayarad DPHA(由NipponKayaku Co.Ltd.生产),用作可光聚合的单体;0.12g的Irgacure 369(由Ciba SpecialityChemicals Inc.生产),用作光聚合引发剂;0.1g的Neozapon Blue 807(由BASF生产),用作染料;3g的乳酸乙酯;以及0.001g的N-亚硝基苯羟胺铝盐(由Wako Pure ChemicalIndustries,Ltd生产),用作聚合抑制剂。
对照例5
一种用作对照的负性感光组合物通过混和以下组分来制备:0.12g的聚乙烯吡咯烷酮,用作粘合剂聚合物;0.24g的Kayarad DPHA(由Nippon Kayaku Co.Ltd.生产),用作可光聚合的单体;0.12g的Irgacure 369(由Ciba Speciality Chemicals Inc.生产),用作光聚合引发剂;0.1g的Neozapon Blue 807(由BASF生产),用作染料;以及3g的乳酸乙酯。
对照例6
一种用作对照的负性感光组合物通过混和以下组分来制备:0.12g的聚乙烯吡咯烷酮,用作粘合剂聚合物;0.24g的Kayarad DPHA(由Nippon Kayaku Co.Ltd.生产),用作可光聚合的单体;0.12g的Irgacure 369(由Ciba Speciality Chemicals Inc.生产),用作光聚合引发剂;0.1g的Neozapon Blue 807(由BASF生产),用作染料;3g的乳酸乙酯;以及0.001g的甲基对苯二酚,用作聚合抑制剂。
依照实施例1到3和对照例1到6获得的负性感光组合物被保存在5℃,23℃和50℃的环境下,以测试其随时间的稳定性。结果表明即使在对照例1到6的负性感光组合物发生胶凝的温度环境下,实施例1到3的负性感光组合物没有发生胶凝。
依照实施例1到3获得的负性感光组合物被保存在5℃,23℃和50℃的环境下10天后,采用旋转涂布法将每种化合物涂布到玻璃基底上,膜片的厚度为1μm,然后在80℃的温度下进行前期烘焙以形成膜片。接着,依照影印法采用365nm的紫外线穿过一个预设成一定图案的面罩进行照射,再用含0.05%的氢氧化四甲基铵和0.1%的Emulgen A-60(由Kao Corporation生产的一种表面活性剂)的水溶液进行显影,时间为60秒,以去除未曝光部分。再接着用水进行漂洗,并进行诸如后期烘焙之类的工艺以获取负性彩色固化膜像素。结果表明依照实施例1到3制备的负性彩色固化膜像素在以下方面没有差异:感光度,成形和光谱特性,对储藏温度无依赖性。
实施例4到8
通过混和如下表所述的粘合剂聚合物,可光聚合单体,光聚合引发剂,染料,溶剂和聚合抑制剂来制备本发明中的负性感光组合物。对于所获得的这些负性感光组合物,也进行上文所述的操作以测试其随时间的稳定性,结果表明没有发生胶凝。此外,按照上文所述的方法用这些负性感光组合物制备了负性彩色固化膜像素,并对其进行了性能测定;结果表明这些像素在以下方面没有差异:感光度,成形和光谱特性,对储藏温度无依赖性。

工业应用性
在本发明中,将N-亚硝基苯羟胺盐作为聚合抑制剂加入至负性彩色感光组合物中,使得可以使用这种负性彩色感光组合物来制备具有较好保存稳定性的彩色滤光片,并且不会削弱这种负性彩色感光组合物的固有特性,例如光滑性,分辨率,成形性,抗热性,抗光照性,光谱特性。
Claims (8)
1.由以下组分构成的负性彩色感光组合物,包含:
占负性彩色感光组合物固体组分总量的5质量%-80质量%粘合剂聚合物,占负性彩色感光组合物固体组分总量的5质量%-60质量%的可光聚合的单体或低聚物,占负性彩色感光组合物固体组分总量的0.5质量%-50质量%的光聚合引发剂,占负性彩色感光组合物固体组分总量的0.0001质量%-5质量%的聚合抑制剂,占负性彩色感光组合物固体组分总量的0.5质量%-50质量%的含过渡金属且溶于有机溶剂的染料以及相对于负性彩色感光组合物中100质量份数固体组分为50质量份数-2000质量份数的有机溶剂,
其中聚合抑制剂是N-亚硝基苯羟胺盐。
2.如权利要求1所述的负性彩色感光组合物,其特征在于,N-亚硝基苯羟胺盐是N-亚硝基苯羟胺铵盐或金属盐。
3.如权利要求1或2所述的负性彩色感光组合物,其特征在于,粘合剂聚合物是碱溶性树酯。
4.如权利要求1或2所述的负性彩色感光组合物,其特征在于,粘合剂聚合物是水溶性树酯。
5.一种制备彩色滤光片的方法,包括:将如权利要求1-4中任一项所述的负性彩色感光组合物涂布到基底上,经光照后,曝光部分被固化,使用活性试剂水溶液和/或碱性水溶液将未曝光部分显影和去除,再用水进行漂洗。
6.一种彩色滤光片:在按照如权利要求5所述方法制备的彩色滤光片的像素中,至少一种颜色的像素是如权利要求1-4制备的负性彩色感光组合物的固化膜。
7.一种液晶显示元件,具有如权利要求6所述的彩色滤光片。
8.一种固态图像捕获元件,具有如权利要求6所述的彩色滤光片。
