技术领域
本发明涉及一种粒状洗涤剂组合物以及生产该粒状洗涤剂的方法。更具体地说,本发明涉及溶解性改善的粒状洗涤剂组合物。
背景技术
最近,洗涤剂工业对既具有液体洗衣洗涤剂产品的方便、美观和可溶性但又保留粒状洗涤剂产品的清洗性能和低成本的洗衣洗涤剂表现出相当大的兴趣。过去的粒状洗涤剂组合物在美观、溶解性和使用方便上存在某些问题。这些问题由于一般不溶于洗涤溶液的“紧凑(compact)”或低剂量粒状洗涤剂产品及液体洗衣洗涤剂的问世而变得更加严重。这些低剂量洗涤剂目前需求量很高,因为它们节省资源并可以以小包装销售,因此更方便消费者购买。但是,与可以从瓶中直接简单地倒入而不需要从盒子中舀取然后配撒到洗涤溶液中的液体洗衣洗涤剂相比,粒状洗涤剂在配置到洗衣机中去这一点上则显得不太方便。
如上所述,此种低剂量或“紧凑”洗涤剂产品有时还遇到溶解问题,尤其是在冷洗衣溶液中(即,低于约3O℃)。更具体地说,溶解不良导致“凝集物”的形成,传统洗涤周期之后,看上去如白色固体的物质残留在洗衣机中或在洗过的衣服上。在冷洗涤条件下和当加入洗衣机中的顺序是先加洗衣洗涤剂,再加衣服,最后是水(通常所谓的“颠倒的加入顺序”或“ROOA”)时,这些“凝集物”尤其常见。此种不可心的“凝集物”在消费者按照衣服、洗涤剂最后是水的顺序加入洗衣机中时也会形成。此种凝集现象可导致洗涤剂在配备投送盒(dispensing drawer)或其他配入装置如粒料斗(granulette)的洗衣机中的配送不完全。在此种情况下,不可心的结果是在配料装置中未溶解洗涤剂的残留。
导致以上溶解问题的原因一般与含表面活性剂的颗粒之间“凝胶状”物质的“架桥(bridging)”形成令人不快的“凝集物”有关。然而,从清洁性能的角度,表面活性剂乃是洗涤剂组合物中最重要的成分之一。倘若降低表面活性剂含量,虽可避免溶解问题却又将影响产品的清洁性能。
可见,目前依然需要一种溶解性改善但清洁性能很少或不降低的粒状洗涤剂。
发明概述
本发明涉及一种粒状洗涤剂组合物,它包含约0.01%~约50wt%阴离子磺酸盐表面活性剂、约0.01%~约45wt%水溶助长剂以及约0.5%~约5wt%阳离子表面活性剂。该粒状洗涤剂组合物基本上不含阴离子硫酸盐表面活性剂。
本发明粒状洗涤剂可提供即便在冷水中仍改善的溶解性,同时清洁性能下降很少或不降低。

阴离子磺酸盐表面活性剂
阴离子磺酸盐表面活性剂是本发明粒状洗涤剂的必要成分。优选的阴离子磺酸盐表面活性剂包括下列物质的盐(或任选地酸):C5~C20线型或支化烷基苯磺酸、烷基酯磺酸、C6~22伯或仲链烷磺酸、C6~C24烯烃磺酸、磺化的多羧酸,烷基甘油磺酸,优选由动物油(tallow)或椰子油衍生的醇衍生而来,脂肪酸甘油磺酸、脂肪油基甘油磺酸以及它们的混合物。
阴离子磺酸盐表面活性剂的阳离子可以是任何适当阳离子,例如,钠、钾、氢、铵或醇胺,优选钠或钾。
更优选的是,本发明的阴离子磺酸盐表面活性剂选自C11~13支化或线型烷基苯磺酸(LAS)的、MLAS(改性烷基苯磺酸)、C6~22伯或仲石蜡烃磺酸(PS)、C10~18甲基酯磺酸(MES)的、C6~C24烯烃磺酸(AOS)的钠或钾盐。
阴离子磺酸盐表面活性剂在本发明粒状洗涤剂组合物中的含量介于粒状洗涤剂的约0.01%~约50%,优选约20%~约50%,更优选约20%~约45wt%。
本发明粒状洗涤剂组合物基本上不含阴离子硫酸盐表面活性剂。“基本上不含阴离子硫酸盐表面活性剂”在本发明中是指阴离子硫酸盐表面活性剂的含量小于约0.001%,优选小于约0.0001%,更优选0%。
水溶助长剂
水溶助长剂是本发明粒状洗涤剂组合物的必要成分。包含线型烷基苯磺酸盐作为表面活性剂的洗涤剂颗粒往往在接触水时发生胶凝,而包围着该颗粒的粘性凝胶使得颗粒彼此粘连并形成凝集物。虽然不拟囿于理论但据信,水溶助长剂能改变磺酸盐表面活性剂的相行为,成为不那么粘着,不那么粘稠的相,并在洗涤期间较迅速地增溶磺酸盐表面活性剂,从而在洗涤过程中基本上避免凝集物或残渣的形成。
其他适用的水溶助长剂描述在已知出版物中,例如,Mitijevic,《表面与胶体科学》,Plenum出版社,卷15(1993),在此将其公开内容收作参考。
优选的是,本发明水溶助长剂包括磺酸、磺酸盐、聚乙二醇、聚丙二醇及其混合物。
优选的电离盐是磺酸的碱金属、碱土金属、烷基胺和铵盐。更优选的盐选自钠、钾、一乙醇胺的磺酸盐及其混合物。
更优选的是,水溶助长剂选自低级链芳烃的磺酸和磺酸盐、聚乙二醇、聚丙二醇及其混合物。
优选作为本发明水溶助长剂的磺酸盐是二甲苯磺酸钠、甲苯磺酸钠、枯烯磺酸钠、具有链长C1~C10的烷基的烷基二苯醚二磺酸,以及它们的混合物。
水溶助长剂在本发明粒状洗涤剂组合物中的含量介于粒状洗涤剂组合物的约0.01%~约45%,优选约0.1%~约15%,更优选0.2%~信,阳离子表面活性剂对于改善该粒状洗涤剂产品清洁性能具有两种功效:表面活性剂在污垢上的渗透以及硬度耐受性。阴离子磺酸盐表面活性剂具有负电荷,而污垢一般带正电荷。结果,阴离子磺酸盐表面活性剂不能和带正电的阳离子表面活性剂一样好地透过污垢。同样,在洗涤过程中,阴离子磺酸盐表面活性剂往往因与水中的硬离子如钙和镁形成络合物而沉淀。于是,粒状洗涤剂组合物的清洁性能下降。但是,阳离子表面活性剂与阴离子表面活性剂的组合却趋于形成胶束。由于胶束不与硬度离子相互作用,故阴离子磺酸盐表面活性剂也就不沉淀了。这样,粒状洗涤剂组合物的清洁性能也就不再下降了。
优选的阳离子表面活性剂是季铵表面活性剂。优选的季铵表面活性剂选自单C6~C16,优选C6~C10N-烷基或链烯基铵表面活性剂,其中N的其余部位取代上甲基、羟乙基或羟丙基基团。另一种优选的阳离子表面活性剂是季铵醇的C6~C18烷基或链烯基酯,如季铵氯酯。
更优选的是,阳离子表面活性剂具有下列通式:
其中R1是C8~C18烃基及其混合物,优选C8~14烷基,更优选C8、C10或C12烷基,X是阴离子,优选氯或溴。
阳离子表面活性剂的含量介于粒状洗涤剂组合物的约0.5~约5%,优选约1%~约5wt%。
方法
本发明粒状洗涤剂组合物可按照包括以下步骤的方法制备:(a)混合阴离子磺酸盐表面活性剂、水溶助长剂和阳离子表面活性剂;(b)加入其他洗涤剂成分,以及(c)干燥来自步骤(b)的洗涤剂混合物。
步骤(a)是混合阴离子磺酸盐表面活性剂、水溶助长剂和阳离子表面活性剂,其中若需要的话,加水。加入水溶助长剂的目的是改变磺酸盐表面活性剂的相结构。优选的是,阴离子磺酸盐表面活性剂与阳离子表面活性剂进行混合,随后加入水溶助长剂,因为阴离子磺酸盐表面活性剂与阳离子表面活性剂可形成离子对络合物。该洗涤剂颗粒优选地包含阴离子磺酸盐表面活性剂与水溶助长剂之比为约50∶1~约1∶1,优选约25∶1~约5∶1的阴离子磺酸盐表面活性剂与水溶助长剂。
在步骤(b)中,加入其他洗涤剂成分,包括助洗剂如碳酸盐、硅酸盐、沸石或增白剂。
步骤(c)优选地包括由步骤(a)和(b)获得的混合物的喷雾干燥,以制成颗粒。这些颗粒可以在辊筒压实机中压实和研磨,以便增加密度。喷雾干燥可在传统喷雾干燥设备如传统塔器中以及其他喷雾干燥设备中实施。传统喷雾干燥设备可包括,例如,由Ohkawara公司(日本)或Niro公司(丹麦)提供的喷雾干燥器。为干燥洗涤剂颗粒,传统喷雾干燥设备通常具有约0.5m~约30m的高度和约200℃~约500℃的内部温度。
本发明喷雾干燥方法的例子描述在美国专利5,149,455中,Jacobs等人,1992-09-22颁布,以及美国专利5,565,442中,DelGreco等人,1996-10-15颁布,在此收作参考。
包含来自步骤(a)的阴离子磺酸盐表面活性剂、阳离子表面活性剂和水溶助长剂的混合物糊料可在步骤(c)之前进行附聚。在此种附聚加工中,来自步骤(a)的糊料被喂入到混合机或致密化机(如LodigeRecycler CB30和Lodige Recycler KM300“Ploughshare”)中去进行附聚。优选的附聚方法公开在美国专利5,366,652中,Scott等人,1992-04-28颁布,在此收作参考。
附加成分/方法
包覆
本发明粒状洗涤剂组合物任选地用水溶性包覆材料包覆,选自阴离子磺酸盐表面活性剂、水溶助长剂及其混合物。
本发明粒状洗涤剂组合物优选按下列方法涂以水溶性包覆材料:(d)将洗涤剂颗粒送往包覆混合机;(e)给包覆混合机提供水溶性包覆材料;以及(f)在包覆混合机中至少部分地包覆颗粒,形成包衣粒状洗涤剂组合物。
任选的步骤(d)是将来自本发明步骤(c)的洗涤剂颗粒送往包覆混合机,例如高或中速混合机,随后是一台任选的低或中速的。或者包覆也可在单一、可以是低、中或高速的混合机中实施。具体用于本发明的混合机应包括粉碎和研磨以及附聚工具,以便这两种技术可同时地在单一混合机中实施。
混合机的停留时间将随混合机的类型和操作参数而异。在优选的高速混合机的情况下,平均停留时间介于约0.1~60s,更优选约0.1~约30s,进一步优选0.1~约15s。高速混合机的其他优选条件包括约3~90m/s的端部(tip)速度,更优选约10~70m/s的端部速度,以及约0.005W/kg~100W/kg的功耗,更优选约0.05W/kg~80W/kg的功耗。优选的是,若采用粉碎刀,则粉碎刀可用在混合机内部,以破碎不可心的过大的颗粒,其转速介于约0~5000rpm,更优选约100~3000rpm。优选的是,壁温从环境温度至约80℃,混合机元件与壁之间的间隙介于约0.1cm~25cm。平均停留时间介于约0.1~约60s的高速混合机的例子是Lodige公司生产的Lodige Recycler CB 30TM,或者Drais,Schugi制造的混合机,或者类似牌子的混合机。
在优选的中速混合机的情况下,平均停留时间介于约30~1800s,更优选约30~约1200s,更优选约30~约600s。中速混合机的其他优选条件包括,约0.1~30m/s的端部速度,更优选约1~25m/s的端部速度,以及约5W/kg~1000W/kg的功耗,更优选约20W/kg~500W/kg的功耗。优选的是,若采用粉碎刀,则粉碎刀可用在混合机内部,以破碎不可心的过大的颗粒,其转速介于约0~5000rpm,更优选约100~4000rpm。优选的是,壁温从约-20℃~约80℃,混合机元件与壁之间的间隙介于约0.1cm~25cm。平均停留时间介于约30~1800s的中速混合机的例子是Lodige公司生产的Lodige Recycler KM“Ploughshare”300TM和600TM或者Drais K-T 160TM混合机,或者Fukae制造的混合机。Lodige KM“Ploughshare”600TM中速混合机是尤其优选的混合机,它包括水平、中空、静止圆筒,内部对中地安装着旋转轴,轴周围固定着若干犁状桨叶。优选的是,该轴的转速介于约15rpm~约140rpm,更优选约80rpm~约120rpm。在优选的混合机中,研磨和粉碎是由切断刀完成的,它通常尺寸很小,其转轴优选以约3600rpm的速度旋转。

在一种优选的实施方案中发现,步骤(c)可在所描述的工艺参数下,在Lodige Recycler KMTM(Ploughshare)中速混合机、Lodige CBTM高速混合机或者Fukae、Drais、Schugi制造的混合机,或者类似牌子的混合机中,成功地完成。优选在本发明中作为混合机使用的LodigeRecycler KMTM(Ploughshare)中速混合机包括水平、中空、静止圆筒,内部对中地安装着旋转轴,轴周围固定着若干犁状桨叶。其他性质类似的适合用于该方法中的混合机包括Lodige PloughshareTM混合机和DraisK-T 160混合机。

粒度
本发明粒状洗涤剂组合物优选包含至少约50wt%几何平均颗粒直径介于约400μm~约1500μm且优选具有约1~约2的几何标准偏差的颗粒。优选的是,几何标准偏差介于约1.0~约1.7,优选约1.0~约1.4。该方法所生产的粒状洗涤剂组合物可包含粒度过小的或细颗粒,其中“细颗粒”被定义为,在给定几何标准偏差下几何平均颗粒直径小于粒状洗涤剂组合物的选定几何平均颗粒直径以下约1.65倍标准偏差的颗粒。过大或大颗粒也可存在,其中“大颗粒”被定义为在给定几何标准偏差下几何平均颗粒直径大于粒状洗涤剂组合物的选定几何平均颗粒直径以上约1.65倍标准偏差的颗粒。细颗粒优选从粒状洗涤剂组合物中分离出去并通过将它们加入到至少一台混合机和/或流化床干燥器中从而返回到工艺中,正如下面所描述的那样。同样,大颗粒优选从粒状洗涤剂组合物中分离出去,然后喂入到研磨机中,借此降低它们的几何平均颗粒直径。大颗粒的几何平均颗粒直径降低以后,通过将它们加入到至少一台混合机和/或流化床干燥器中使大颗粒返回到工艺中。
其他成分
本发明粒状洗涤剂组合物还可包含各种各样成分,包括但不限于,荧光增白剂、颜料或染料、螯合剂、非离子表面活性剂、pH控制剂、洗涤助洗剂、填料和这些材料的混合物。尤其优选的是颜料或染料如二氧化钛,上蓝剂如硫酸铜、硫代硫酸锌和群青蓝,闪光增强剂如云母片,填料如碳酸钠和硫酸钠以及辅助-助洗剂如柠檬酸盐和非离子表面活性剂。
该粒状洗涤剂组合物还可包含漂白剂、漂白活化剂、酶、香料、未包覆的洗涤剂颗粒和各种各样其他成分,从而生产出全配方的洗涤剂组合物。

Claims (9)
1.一种粒状洗涤剂组合物,包含:
(a)0.01%~50重量%阴离子磺酸盐表面活性剂;
(b)0.01%~45重量%水溶助长剂;以及
(c)0.5%~5重量%阳离子表面活性剂,其中粒状洗涤剂组合物不含阴离子硫酸盐表面活性剂,且该洗涤剂组合物以选自阴离子磺酸盐表面活性剂、水溶助长剂及其混合物的水溶性包覆材料包覆。
2.权利要求1的粒状洗涤剂组合物,其中洗涤剂组合物包含20%~50wt%阴离子磺酸盐表面活性剂。
3.权利要求1的粒状洗涤剂组合物,其中阴离子磺酸盐表面活性剂选自C11-13线型烷基苯磺酸的、改性烷基苯磺酸的、C6-22伯或仲石蜡烃磺酸的、C10-18甲基酯磺酸的、C6-C24烯烃磺酸的钠盐或钾盐或其混合物。
