Abstract

一种具有铰链组件的便携式计算机,铰链组件使机盖和显示屏相对便携式计算机的主机翻转,并且然后绕垂直轴回转。铰链组件包括限制翻转和回转量的止挡块器。便携式计算机的机盖可以从关闭的位置向后翻转到135°,并从正前位置顺时针方向回转182°。

Description

便携式计算机显示器的翻转/转向装置
本发明涉及便携式计算机的显示器,更具体地说涉及一种可以绕两个正交的轴翻转和侧转的便携式计算机显示屏。
自八十年代中叶起,往往称作膝上电脑或者说笔记本电脑的便携式计算机已经得到广泛的应用,并以惊人的速度发展。这种计算机重量轻,并有一个由铰链接合的机盖支持的显示屏,机盖在计算机不工作时保护着键盘。
许多个人计算机显示屏中使用液晶显示器(LCD)。液晶显示器之所以运用于个人计算机是因为与常规台式计算机的阴极射线管(CRT)显示器对比,液晶显示器重量轻而且功耗极低。在光线明亮时,液晶显示器还能保持很高的显示清晰度。
在便携式计算机显示器上的所有最新技术进展都是朝着改进单个操作者直接坐在键盘前的信息视觉清晰度的方向发展。然而当便携式计算机的使用者想向其它人展示所显示的信息时,就要物理地转动计算机的主机以展示信息,而这些人必须挤在个人计算机后边。在便携式计算机的典型尺寸小于公事皮包,而且显示屏相应地小的条件下,多于一或两个的人观看膝上电脑的显示器是很不方便的,另外,在硬盘旋转时突然移动计算机会引起磁头撞坏。因此需要一种个人计算机,它不必移动计算机的主机就能方便地向一个以上的人展示信息。
另外,用探笔向屏幕输入数据的方法广泛地用于当前的便携式计算机中。用探笔在屏幕上输入数据是不方便的,因为在使用时,包括显示屏在内的罩盖一般用来绕水平线翻转约110°(此处0°为罩盖完全关闭的位置)。这样就需要有一种能用探笔自由地在屏幕上输入数据的便携式计算机。
因此本发明的一个目的是提供一种不必移动计算机的主机就能方便地向一个以上的人显示信息的个人计算机。
本发明的另一个目的是提供一种能自由地用探笔在屏幕上输入数据的便携式计算机。
根据本发明的一个方面,为达到以上目的,本发明提供了一种使计算机的显示器能够在两个轴上调节的翻转和回转的装置。该装置提供显示器从水平关闭位置运动到距关闭位置135°的开启位置。本发明还提供显示器绕垂直轴从正前向顺时针回转180°的能力。
根据本发明的优选实施例,具有翻转/回转装置的便携式计算机含有:一个主机、一个包括显示屏的罩盖、一个连接罩盖和主机并具有水平轴和垂直轴的铰链组件,该铰链组件可在两个轴运动使罩盖能相对于主机绕水平轴翻转和绕垂直轴回转,以及一个经过铰链组件电气连接罩盖和主机的电缆。
优选的翻转/回转铰链具有:一个耦连到所述主机并使所述罩盖能绕水平面轴翻转的第一轴块,连接所述第一轴块和所述水平轴并使所述罩盖能绕一垂直轴回转的第二轴块,和一个设在罩盖内并连接所述第二轴块和所述垂直轴以支承罩盖的支架。
在优选实施例中,电缆沿垂直轴穿过,电缆的第二水平面部分缠绕垂直轴至电缆的弯头部抵达垂直轴,折迭第二水平部使之位于垂直轴后,然后电缆的第二垂直部绕水平轴旋转以连接位于主机内的系统单元。

本发明揭示一种改进的笔记本或者说膝上个人计算机的铰链组件。该铰链组件使计算机的显示屏不仅能翻转打开,而且能绕一垂直轴回转约180°。
图1所示为一个包括显示屏50的罩盖40打开了的笔记本计算机10。便携式计算机10一般含有主机20,和用翻转/回转铰链装置25连接在主机上的上述罩盖40。主机20,包括硬驱(未示),含有一个键盘板26、一个软盘插取口27、一个面板22、一个指示装置28和后台24a、24b。翻转/回转铰链装置位于24a、24b之间。其它的笔记本计算机构形或者说膝上计算机构形也可以采用本发明的翻转/回转铰链装置25,所以所示实施例不应构成限制。
计算机显示器罩盖相对于主机20绕两个轴旋转。在罩盖40关闭位置,水平翻转轴23与罩盖的后缘或者说底缘29平行。一个垂直的回转轴21直接穿经翻转/回转铰链25的中心。从关闭位,罩盖向上抬打开,或者说绕水平轴23翻转以暴露键盘26和显示屏50。罩盖40和显示屏50优选地绕水平轴翻转到135°的限度(这里以罩盖完全关闭为0°)。罩盖40和显示屏50可在顺时针方向绕绕垂直轴21回转到182°的限度(这里以图1a所示位置为0°)。优选地,罩盖完全打开或者翻转回去后再回转,然而罩盖可以在翻转得大于罩盖底缘能避开后台24a、24b所需的任何位置自由回转。
虽然在使用笔记本计算机时两个轴21、23保持互相垂直,水平翻转轴可以绕垂直轴相对主机20旋转。如图1b所示,罩盖40绕固定的垂直轴21回转使罩盖能够绕理论上无数个水平轴相对于主机22翻转。
在图1b的典型构形中,当从上方看去时,罩盖40和显示屏50已经翻开并从原来的正前位顺时针方向回转。原来平行于主机20后缘31的轴23,回转约30°到新轴23`。新轴23`仍然平行于罩盖20的后缘29,然而与罩盖20的后缘31成30°角。因此在优选实施例中,罩盖40绕新轴23`可在从原轴23起180°(顺时针方向)的范围内向任何方向地翻转。
参看图1c,当从上方看去时,罩盖40和显示屏50已经翻开,并从原来的正前向位置回转了180°。原来平行于主机20后缘31的轴23,回转约180°到新轴23`。新轴23`与罩盖20的后缘29保持平行,然而与罩盖20的后缘31成180°角。显示屏50朝向与原正前向位置相反的方向。
因为铰链25在规定的范围内自由地翻转和回转,罩盖40和显示屏50,绕水平轴23转动,从而折迭关闭如图1d所示。因此,显示屏50朝向上方这个靠在键盘26上的显示屏50的位置,使得用探笔输入数据像用钢笔在本子上书写一样方便和舒适。
图2所示为耦连到铰链组件的主机和显示屏以及能够翻转和回转的电缆。
参看图2和图4,耦连到水平轴64a、64b  上的翻转轴块62a、62b位于后台24a、24b之间。在每个翻转轴块62a、62b的一端形成一个凹面以连接水平轴64a、64b。回转轴块66位于轴64a和64b之间以连接两轴64a、64b。回转轴块66有圆形的凹面以连接垂直轴68。垂直轴68的一端与回转轴块66接合,而另一端与屏幕支架70连接。连接显示屏50的屏幕支架70含有每端都有螺丝孔的锁定板72a、72b。在优选实施例中,锁定板72a使显示屏50紧紧地向前固定,而锁定板72b使显示屏50紧紧地向后固定。可以安装一个装饰板100、110,用于在关闭和打开两种情况下隐藏翻转/回转铰链25。
由于轴64a、64b和回转轴块66的旋转,罩盖40能够在规定的范围内绕枢轴转动。连接在轴64a、64b上的翻转轴块包括有防止进一步旋转用的支架(未示),从而限制机盖40的翻转角度。在优选实施例中采用日本KATO SPRINGR的铰链组件作为翻转轴块。另外由于垂直轴68能够旋转,支承和安装垂直轴68的机盖可以回转。在优选实施例中回转轴块66也是KATO SPRINGR的产品。
一个典型的电缆80从主机20连接到机盖40和显示屏50。电缆80是本行业内一般技术人员众所周知的扁平型电缆。在优选实施例中,电缆80为30线的,而且电缆80的的厚度为7mm。电缆80有连接机盖40的电子装置的第一接头82,和连接主机20的第二接头84。在第一接头82和第二接头84之间电缆80包括分开的第一支线86a和分开的第二支线86b。每个分开的支线86a和86b的厚度是3.5mm,每条电缆有15根线。电缆80可以用几种方式穿过翻转/回转铰链25。因为机盖翻转110°以上,同时回转约180°,电缆80穿过翻转/回转铰链25的传统的通道方式,例如,在铰链组件上开槽以提供通道,会造成电缆扭曲。
为防止电缆扭曲,如图5a和图5b所示,电缆80有两个水平部分A、C和两个垂直的部分B、D以方便绕在垂直轴68上。为减少电缆的厚度,分开的第二支线86b沿虚线5-5和虚线6-6折迭,结果使第二支线86b位于第一支线86a后。从92a到92b,折迭的分开的线86b位在第一支线86a后。
图6a、6b、6c和6d表示沿垂直轴68和水平轴64a、64b卷绕电缆的方法。参见图6a,减少了厚度的电缆80沿垂直轴68穿过,然后在与垂直轴68和回转轴块66接触处缠绕在垂直轴68上。也就是说,电缆的第一水平部分A和第一垂直部分B穿过垂直轴68,而电缆的第二水平部分C和电缆的第二垂直部分D沿图6a中的箭头方向绕垂直轴68转动,但是相反的方向也是可行的。此时,垂直轴68和卷绕的电缆之间存在一个间隙,这样垂直轴68的旋转与卷绕的电缆80的旋转毫不相干。在第二水平部分C的弯曲88抵达垂直轴68之前,如图6b所示,电缆80的第二水平部分C连续地卷绕着。然后第二水平部分C从一个弯折构件折迭,使之位于水平轴64A后,如图6c所示。最后,如图6d所示,电缆80的第二垂直部分D绕水平轴64旋转以连接位于主机20中的系统单元。在机盖40旋转的情况下,电缆80的卷绕部分E张紧,而在相反的情况,卷绕部分E放松以返回原位。在优选实施例中,如果电缆的第二水平部分C在相反方向旋转,电缆80的卷绕部分E放松,而在相反的情况,卷绕部分E张紧以返回原位。
根据一个优选实施例,包括显示屏在内的机盖可方便地以任意角度翻转和回转,这样就没有必要转动工作中的主机以展示显示屏。特别是,可以自由地用探笔输入数据,因为在优选实施例中有可能出现图1d所示的显示屏面向上的位置。
虽然本发明是对于某些优选实施例加以说明的,本行业内的一般技术人员清楚,其它实施例也在本发明的范围内。因此,本发明的范围为下面的权利要求书所定义。

Claims (6)

1.一种便携式计算机,含有:
一个主机;
一个包括显示屏的机盖;
一个连接罩盖和主机并具有水平轴和垂直轴的铰链组件,该铰链组件可在两个轴运动使罩盖能相对于主机绕水平轴翻转和绕垂直轴回转;以及一个穿过铰链组件电气连接罩盖和主机的电缆。
2.如权利要求1所述的便携式计算机,其特征为,所述铰链组件包括:
一个耦连到所述主机并使所述罩盖能绕水平轴翻转的第一轴块;连接所述第一轴块和所述水平轴并使所述罩盖能绕垂直轴回转的第二轴块;和
一个设在罩盖内并连接所述第二轴块和所述垂直轴以支承罩盖的支架。
3.如权利要求2所述的便携式计算机,其特征为,所述便携式计算机进一步包括一个保护位于所述主机和所述机盖之间的所述第二轴块的罩盖
4.如权利要求2所述的便携式计算机,其特征为,所述电缆在从所述垂直轴到所述水平轴改变方向处包括一个U形弯曲。
5.如权利要求4所述的便携式计算机,其特征为,所述电缆在电缆的中间分为两条线并折迭以耦连所述铰链组件。
6.如权利要求2所述的便携式计算机,其特征为,所述电缆沿所述垂直轴穿过,而所述电缆的第二水平部分卷绕所述垂直轴直到所述电缆抵达垂直轴,第二水平部分被折迭使之位于所述水平轴后边,然后,电缆的所述第二垂直部分绕水平轴旋转以连接位于主机中的系统单元。
