Abstract
本发明涉及一用于启动和操作一高压放电灯的电路装置,其带有与电源连接的输入端子,与放电灯连接的输出端子,与灯稳定工作期间把灯置于一标放灯电压Vla的并在该灯启动之前在输出端子处产生开路电压Vo的开关设备,当输出端子处的电压达到一阈值Vi时用于产生启动电压脉冲的启动设备,用于控制开关设备的一控制电路。根据本发明,该电路装置的特征在于控制电路含有用于在输出端子处把电压限定到值Vb的设备以使下式成立:Vla< Vb< Vi。
Description
本发明涉及一用于启动和操作一高压放电灯的电路装置,其带有:
-用于与电源相连的输入端子,
-用于与灯相连的输出端子,
-在灯稳定工作期间把该灯调整到一标称灯电压Vla和在灯启动之前在输出端子处产生开路电压Vo的开关设备,
-当输出端子处的电压达到阈值Vi时产生启动电压脉冲的启动设备,
-用于控制开关设备的控制电路。
此类电路从EP 04 01931(=US 5068572)中可知。该已知的电路装置特别适合于启动和操作高压钠灯和金属卤化物灯。这些灯一般带有一放电管,在放电管内灯工作期间保持电子放电并且放电管被隔开一定空间的外壳所封闭。这些灯需要一高的启动电压脉冲(几kV或更多)。通过选择开路电压Vo以使Vo>Vi,该启动设备变为可用的并且产生启动电压脉冲。该灯然后被点燃,灯两端的电压跃降至10V。一旦在灯中形成稳定放电,灯两端的电压逐渐升到与灯稳定工作相配合的灯电压Vla。该电路装置如此设计以使该电压Vla低于Vi,并且依次低于开路电压Vo。
该电路装置的控制电路保证了在灯稳定工作状态时开关设备作为一受控的电流发生器。以此达到一旦连接端子处的电压降至灯电压Vla或更低时,没有更多的启动电压脉冲由启动设备产生。
产生更长时间的启动电压脉冲是不希望的,因为这形成了电路装置的负载。因此经常建议,在经过一段时间之后通过断开它们以限制启动设备的工作。
然而这有许多不利之处:
-如果灯还没有启动,则在输出端子处保持了相当高的开路电压Vo,
-一旦该灯已启动,则该灯熄灭,例如达到它工作寿命的终点,的瞬间该启动设备会产生启动电压脉冲。尤其是高压钠灯和金属卤化物灯显示了这样的特性,即在其寿命终点时熄灭或冷却之后该灯会重新利用启动电压脉冲进行启动。这提高了灯的特征化的闪烁特性。这是不希望看到的,尤其是这对电路装置有害,而且它也经常引起大量的干扰辐射(无线电干扰等)。
本发明的任务就是提供用于解决上述不利之处的措施。
根据本发明,在开关段路所提的用于此任务的电路装置的特征在于该控制电路含有把输出端子处的电压限制到值Vb的设备,以使下式成立:Vla<Vb<Vi
选择电压至某一仅高于标称灯电压的水平可有利地实现,在很难启动的灯和灯达到寿命终点的两个情况下通过一个相同的原理制止产生启动电压脉冲。另一个有利之处是在灯外壳中的放电,无论是低放电形式或是电弧放电形式,当灯的放电管有泄漏时都不能维持,致使避免了有害的情形。用于限制输出端子处的电压的设备的特别合适的实施例包含一计时器,其在一预定时间间隔后使控制电路处于某一状态,以使在输出端子处的电压限制到值Vb。优选的,该计时器如此连接致使它与电源相连时能重新设置。优选的一电压缓冲网络耦合到该计时器以阻止该计时器在电源电压有一短时下降时被重新设置。例如,此网络可以是一RC网络。下转换器或推式变换器(Buck converter)非常适合用作受控的电流发生器。
下面根据本发明参照一电路实施例的附图详细解释本发明的上述和其它方面。其中,

图1示出了用于启动和操作高压气体放电灯的电路装置,其带有
-连接电源的输入端子1,
-连接灯3的输出端子2,
-在灯稳定工作期间把该灯置于一标称灯电压Vla和在灯被启动之前在输出端子处产生一开路电压Vo的开关设备II。
该电路装置也带有换向器设备III以周期性改变流过该灯的电流的极性,并带有一预调节器I以产生供电给开关设备II的DC电压。该换向器还带有一启动设备(未详细示出),当输出端子处的电压达到阈值Vi时产生启动电压脉冲。
该电路装置另外带有用于控制开关设备的控制电路IV,并带有限制输出端子处的电压到值Vb的设备V以使下式成立:Vla<Vb<Vi。
在一优选的实施例中,该开关设备作为下变换器或推式变换器构成,如图2中详细所示。在图2中,A和B为开关设备和预调节器I之间的连接点,而C和D为与换向器III的连接点。下变换器含有一个受控的半导体开关10,一个自感11和一个空载二极管12。该变换器另外带有用于减少连接点C、D上的电压波动的电容13。开关10的一个控制极101与控制电路IV的输出端41相连。该控制电路有一个输入端42用于检测与输出端子处的电压成比例的信号Sv,和一个输入端43用于检测与灯电流成比例的并优选形成在一欧姆阻抗Z上的信号Si。该信号Sv与参考电压Vref相比较。该比较结果导通到门控制器45。信号Si通过积分器44A导通到脉宽调制器(PWM)44,其轮翻发送一个开关信号到门控制器45。在门控制器45中的控制信号通过输出端41导通到控制极101。
参考电压Vref形成部分设备以限制输出端子处的电压到值Vb以使下式成立:Vla<Vb<Vi。
设备V在图3中更加详细示出。参考电压Vref在连接点52处通过分压网络50形成辅助电压Vh。开关51包含在分压网络50的一个分支中并在一端与连接点51相连。该开关分路了属于分压网络的一部分阻抗。在实施例中所示,该开关置于连接点52和地之间的一个分支中。当该开关闭合时,结果会使连接点52处的电压比打开开关情况下的电压低一些。当该开关置于电压Vh和连接点52之间时,当开关51打开时会产生连接点51处电压下降。连接点52处的低电压意味着一用于参考电压Vref的一低值,其在门控制器52处控制半导体开关以使电路装置的输出端子处的电压限制到一相对低的值。图3所示的设备V的实施形式在图4更加详细描述。该开关由二极管55、计时器500、电压缓冲网络53和一个连接点54串联形成以连接电源为计时器供电。该计时器如下工作。电源电压一旦与连接点相连,一个电压就会施加到计时器500的输入端501,因此该计时器被重新设置。结果是一个高的信号出现在计时器的输出端502。这相应于在连接点52处的相对高的电压状态而言。经过一段时间计时器被设置后,该计时器开关打开并且输出端子502处的电压变低,致使连接点52处的电压也变低。
根据该实施形式在电路装置的具体实现中,该电路装置适合用于启动和操作一金属卤化物灯,例如CDM35W型,菲利浦制造,功率39W。该灯的额定电压为39V。当与电源例如220V,50Hz的电压源相连时,预调节器提供一400V的DC电压到开关设备II。当该灯还没有启动时,输出端子处的开路电压位于310V和380V之间。启动设备开始产生启动脉冲时在输出端子处的电压阈值Vi是240V。
计时器500由HEF4541集成电路形成。该电压缓冲网络53含有一由100nF电容和齐纳电压为15V的齐纳二极管组成的并联电路。为了限制电流,300kΩ的电阻连接在连接点54和电压缓冲网络之间。二极管55为BAV103型,菲利浦制造。当计时器被重新设置时Vref的值为3.3V。当该计时器被打开至多20分钟后,Vref降至1.5V,这致使在输出端子处的电压限制到至多为200V的值Vb。很明显下式Vla<Vb<Vi成立。
该计时器设置为在100分钟之后和最多20分钟之后切换。该时间优选的长度为能提供该灯热启动的可能性。该开关设备的受控半导体开关由MOSFET制成,STP4NA60FI型,SGS-Thomson制造。。该门控制器为一集成电路,IR2117型,Int.Rectifier制造。该PMW44为一集成电路,L6560A型,SGS-Thomson制造。
Claims (1)
1.一用于启动和操作一高压放电灯的电路装置,其带有:
-用于与电源相连的输入端子,
用于与灯相连的输出端子,
-在灯稳定工作期间为了使灯在标称灯电压Vla下工作和在灯启动之前在输出端子处产生开路电压Vo的开关设备,
-当输出端子处的电压达到一阈值Vi时用于产生启动电压脉冲的启动设备,
-用于控制该开关设备的一控制电路,
其特征在于,该控制电路含有在输出端子处限制该电压到一值Vb的设备,以使下式成立:
Vla<Vb<Vi
