本发明涉及一种抗辐照高熵MAX相陶瓷及其制备方法,属于核反应堆材料技术领域。所述抗辐照高熵MAX相陶瓷的化学组成通式为(TiaZrbVcNbdTae)2AlC;其中,a+b+c+d+e=1。本发明提供的高熵MAX相陶瓷具有耐辐照性能和耐高温性能,中子吸收截面小,能够抑制辐照缺陷和氦泡的生长,提高了核用材料的安全性。

技术领域
本发明属于核反应堆材料技术领域,具体涉及一种抗辐照高熵MAX相陶瓷及其制备方法。
背景技术
高性能核用材料是核能系统安全的重要保障。目前,主要的核用包壳材料为锆合金。但是,在冷却剂丧失等极端工况条件下,锆合金材质的包壳常常会在高温下与水蒸气发生反应产生大量氢气,最终导致爆炸,给社会经济、人类生活带来难以弥补的损失。而且,金属材料容易在服役期间生成氢化物,导致金属材料致脆,降低材料性能,影响核电系统安全。
核用包壳材料在服役过程中往往面临着高温、强辐照、强腐蚀、高磨损等严苛工作环境。目前处于研发阶段的第四代核反应堆,其包壳材料所受到的辐照剂量远大于第三代核反应堆。因此,为了满足第四代核反应堆的应用要求,通过材料设计研发,提高包壳材料的抗辐照、抗腐蚀、抗磨损以及耐高温等性能,对核能的安全发展至关重要。
发明内容
有鉴于此,为了解决当前核反应堆用包壳材料耐辐照、耐高温等性能较差的问题。本发明结合高熵与MAX相陶瓷材料的优点,提供了一种具有良好抗辐照性能的高熵MAX 相陶瓷及其制备方法。
具体来说,第一方面,本发明提供了一种抗辐照高熵MAX相陶瓷,所述抗辐照高熵MAX相陶瓷的化学组成通式为(TiaZrbVcNbdTae)2AlC;其中,a+b+c+d+e=1。
较佳地,a=0.05~0.2、b=0.2~0.65、c=0.05~0.2、d=0.2~0.35、e=0.05~0.2。
较佳地,所述抗辐照高熵MAX相陶瓷的致密度为98.0~99.5%。
第二方面,本发明提供了一种上述抗辐照高熵MAX相陶瓷的制备方法,包括以下步骤:
(1)选取Ti、Zr、V、Nb、Ta、Al和C七种元素的单质粉体作为原料,根据通式(TiaZrbVcNbdTae)2AlC的摩尔比进行称量并混合均匀,得到粉体原料;
(2)将所述粉体原料预压成型后置于保护气氛中,于1400℃~1600℃下进行热压烧结 0.5~2.5小时,得到所述抗辐照高熵MAX相陶瓷。
较佳地,所述单质粉体的纯度均大于99.5wt%。
较佳地,所述混合的方式为球磨混合;所述球磨混合的参数包括:溶剂为乙醇,研磨介质为WC球;球料质量比为4~6:1,球磨转速为300~600r/min。
又,较佳地,将球磨混合得到的浆料进行干燥;所述干燥的方式为真空旋蒸,旋蒸温度控制为65℃。
较佳地,所述保护气氛为惰性气氛,优选氩气气氛。
较佳地,所述热压烧结的升温速率为15~30℃/min,升温过程中热压压力为6~12MPa;在烧结温度下的保温过程中热压压力为20~30MPa。
较佳地,在热压烧结完成之后进行冷却,所述冷却的方式为自然冷却到室温。
有益效果
本发明通过增加过渡金属元素的固溶来增加熵以获得均匀的高熵MAX相陶瓷。该高熵 MAX相陶瓷具有较大的原子离散度和晶格应力,并且由于价态补偿和迟滞扩散效应存在空位。大的原子离散度和晶格应力可以抑制缺陷扩散聚集,空位提供缺陷驻留空间而阻断缺陷生长,从而有助于MAX相陶瓷抗辐照损伤性能的提高;
通过调控过渡金属元素比例(Zr和Nb的成分较高),可以在熵增的同时获得中子吸收截面较低的MAX相陶瓷。本发明提供的高熵MAX相陶瓷具有良好的耐辐照性能和耐高温性能,中子吸收截面小,可以很好地抑制辐照缺陷和氦泡的生长,大大提高了核用材料的安全性。

具体实施方式
以下通过实施方式进一步说明本发明,应理解,下述实施方式仅用于说明本发明,而非限制本发明。
本发明结合高熵与MAX相陶瓷材料的优点,提供了一种具有良好抗辐照性能的高熵MAX相陶瓷。所述抗辐照高熵MAX相陶瓷由Ti、Zr、V、Nb、Ta、Al和C七种元素组成,其化学组成通式为(TiaZrbVcNbdTae)2AlC,其中,a+b+c+d+e=1。
在一些优选的实施方式中,可以控制a=0.05~0.2、b=0.2~0.65、c=0.05~0.2、d= 0.2~0.35、e=0.05~0.2。所述抗辐照高熵MAX相陶瓷的致密度为98.0~99.5%。
高熵MAX相陶瓷材料结合了陶瓷的高温稳定、高强度以及金属材料的良好导电性、导热性、断裂韧性、抗热震性和可加工性。该种形态的材料一般不与水汽发生反应,且不会引起氢脆,在宽温范围内能够保持良好的稳定性。与此同时,高熵的特性也使材料具有高熵、晶格畸变、迟滞扩散以及“鸡尾酒”等多种效应,有助于MAX相陶瓷材料抑制辐照缺陷的团簇行为,提高材料的抗辐照性能。
以下示例性说明本发明提供的抗辐照高熵MAX相陶瓷的制备方法,主要包括以下步骤。
混料。选取纯度均大于99.5wt%的Ti、Zr、V、Nb、Ta、Al和C(石墨等)七种元素的单质粉体,根据通式(TiaZrbVcNbdTae)2AlC的摩尔比进行称量、混合均匀,得到粉体原料。
在一些实施方式中,可以按照高熵概念中元素含量的规定,控制上述通式(TiaZrbVcNbdTae)2AlC中,a=0.05~0.2、b=0.2~0.65、c=0.05~0.2、d=0.2~0.35、e=0.05~ 0.2,且a+b+c+d+e=1。
相比于一元MAX相陶瓷,本发明提供的高熵MAX相陶瓷具有更好的耐辐照性能和耐高温性能。本发明公开的制备方法所选择的过渡金属单质熔点低且接近,并且中子吸收截面低,能够在较低的温度下形成固溶体,从而易于形成高熵MAX相。
本发明制备方法所选择的M位元素(Ti、Zr、V、Nb、Ta)中,各含量控制在5at%(0.05)以上,如此能够使得陶瓷材料实现上述高熵效应。否则,各M位过渡金属含量较低,则难以达到一定的熵增效应。
在高熵效应容许的固溶度范围内相对增大Zr及Nb的含量、同时相对降低Ti、V和Ta的含量,而且将Zr的含量控制在65at%(0.65)以下,可以保证高熵效应的实现。如此能够在发挥高熵效应的同时,保持相对中子吸收截面较小的效果,进而既能够适当避免核反应堆对中子的非必要消耗,又可因高熵所具有的晶格畸变及迟滞扩散等效应抑制辐照缺陷和氦泡的生长,大大提高了核用材料的安全性。
球磨。将上述获得的粉料原料置于球磨罐中,以乙醇等为溶剂,WC球等为研磨介质,球料质量比为4~6:1,球磨转速为300~600r/min,进行球磨,以获得混合均匀的浆料。在一些实施方式中,可以控制球料质量比为6:1,球磨转速为400r/min。
干燥。将上述获得的混合均匀的浆料进行真空旋蒸,使其充分干燥,以获得待烧结粉料。其中,旋蒸温度可以控制为65℃。
成型、烧结。将上述待烧结粉料置于石墨磨具中,预压成型之后放入真空热压炉中热压烧结。
在一些实施方式中,所述热压烧结的工艺可以为:先抽真空,然后通入纯度为99.99 wt%的氩气进行保护,保护气氛压强为1个大气压。同时,可以结合热压炉的性能,控制升温速率为15~30℃/min,升温速度过慢会导致Al的沉降,从而降低合成MAX相的纯度。升温过程中热压压力可以控制为6~12MPa,以避免金属因熔融被强行挤出模具,压力过大会导致处于半熔状态的金属挤出模具,从而无法获得完整材料;而压力过小,则可能会导致烧结后的MAX相陶瓷不够均匀致密。1400℃~1600℃下保温0.5~2.5h,保温过程压力可以控制为20~30MPa。
烧结结束后,待炉体自然冷却至室温,制备得到所述抗辐照高熵MAX相陶瓷。
下面进一步例举实施例以详细说明本发明。同样应理解,以下实施例只用于对本发明进行进一步说明,不能理解为对本发明保护范围的限制,本领域的技术人员根据本发明的上述内容作出的一些非本质的改进和调整均属于本发明的保护范围。下述示例具体的工艺参数等也仅是合适范围中的一个示例,即本领域技术人员可以通过本文的说明做合适范围内的选择,而并非要限定于下文示例的具体数值。
实施例1
混料。选取纯度大于99.5wt%的Ti、Zr、V、Nb、Ta、Al和C七种元素的单质粉体,根据各单质粉体的摩尔比Ti:Zr:V:Nb:Ta:Al:C=0.4:0.4:0.4:0.5:0.3:1:1进行称量、混合均匀,得到粉体原料10g。
球磨。将上述获得的粉体原料置于球磨罐中,以乙醇为溶剂,WC球为研磨介质,进行球磨,获得混合均匀的浆料。其中,球料质量比为6:1,球磨转速为400r/min。
干燥。将上述获得混合均匀的浆料进行真空旋蒸,使其充分干燥,获得待烧结粉料。其中,旋蒸温度控制为65℃。
成型、烧结。将上述待烧结粉体置于石墨磨具中,预压成型之后放入真空热压炉中热压烧结。所述热压烧结的工艺为:先抽真空,然后通入纯度为99.99wt%氩气进行保护,保护气氛压强为1个大气压,升温速率为20℃/min,升温过程压力为6MPa,在1400℃下保温1h,保温过程压力为20MPa。烧结结束后,待炉体自然冷却至室温,制备得到抗辐照高熵MAX相陶瓷。
图1为本发明实施例1制备得到的抗辐照高熵MAX相陶瓷元素分布图,HAADF白点表示原子位置。从图中可以看出,实施例1制备得到的抗辐照高熵MAX相陶瓷中各元素均匀固溶。
利用540keV的氦离子对热压烧结所得的高熵MAX相陶瓷晶粒进行室温抗辐照试验。图2为本发明实施例1制备得到的抗辐照高熵MAX相陶瓷在辐照剂量为2.5dpa时的原子相图。从图中可以看出,制备得到的抗辐照高熵MAX相陶瓷材料层状结构保持较为完整,这表明该材料具有良好的抗辐照性能。
利用540keV的氦离子对热压烧结所得的高熵MAX相陶瓷晶粒进行室温抗辐照试验。图3为本发明实施例1制备得到的抗辐照高熵MAX相陶瓷与一元低熵MAX相陶瓷分别在540keV的氦离子辐照后晶粒的选区电子衍射对比图。从图中可以看出,高熵MAX相陶瓷在辐照之后仍然保持了相对完整的六方结构,而一元低熵MAX相陶瓷已经发生了六方相向立方相的相变。相比于一元MAX相陶瓷,本发明高熵MAX相陶瓷具有更好的耐辐照性能。
利用540keV的氦离子对热压烧结所得的抗辐照高熵MAX相陶瓷晶粒进行室温抗辐照试验,并在800℃下进行退火。对所制备的抗辐照高熵MAX相陶瓷辐照后进行800℃退火处理,可模拟事故条件下的温度及辐照条件。
图4为本发明实施例1制备得到的抗辐照高熵MAX相陶瓷在540keV的氦离子辐照之后进行800℃退火后的氦泡分布图。从图中可以看出,本发明制备得到的抗辐照高熵 MAX相陶瓷退火之后无位错生成,氦泡尺寸较小(6-10nm),且材料层状结构恢复较为完整,这表明该材料具有良好的高温抗辐照性能。
实施例2
与实施例1的方案基本相同,主要区别在于:各单质粉体的摩尔比为Ti:Zr:V: Nb:Ta:Al:C=0.2:0.7:0.2:0.7:0.2:1:1;烧结的温度为1500℃。
实施例3
与实施例1的方案基本相同,主要区别在于:各单质粉体的摩尔比为Ti:Zr:V: Nb:Ta:Al:C=0.1:1.3:0.1:0.4:0.1:1:1;升温过程热压压力为12MPa,烧结温度为1600℃。
实施例4
与实施例1的方案基本相同,主要区别在于:球磨转速为600r/min;烧结的保温时间为2小时,烧结的温度为1600℃。
对比例1
与实施例1的方案基本相同,主要区别在于:烧结中,升温过程热压压力为20 MPa,烧结的温度为1500℃。
本对比例中,由于升温过程的热压压力过大,金属达到熔点之后被挤压出磨具,最终反应结束后块体与磨具粘结无法取出,无法得到高熵MAX相陶瓷。
对比例2
与实施例1的方案基本相同,主要区别在于:烧结中,升温过程热压压力为3MPa,烧结的温度为1500℃。
本对比例中,由于升温过程热压压力过小,最终反应结束后的高熵MAX相陶瓷块体致密性较低,存在较多气孔。
对比例3
与实施例1的方案基本相同,主要区别在于:烧结中,升温速率为3℃/min,烧结的温度为1500℃。
本对比例中,由于升温速率过低,在Al熔点附近停留时间较长,导致Al没有及时固溶反应而发生沉降,最终导致陶瓷样品纯度降低。
对比例4
与实施例1的方案基本相同,主要区别在于:各单质粉体的摩尔比为Ti:Zr:V: Nb:Ta:Al:C=0.5:0.05:0.5:0.05:0.9:1:1。
本对比例中,由于Zr和Nb的含量过低,构型熵比较低,高熵效应无法达到,导致形成的MAX相较为杂乱,且出现TaC的富集。
尽管本发明的内容已经通过上述优选实施例作了详细介绍,但应当认识到上述的描述不应被认为是对本发明的限制。在本领域技术人员阅读了上述内容后,对于本发明的多种修改和替代都将是显而易见的。因此,本发明的保护范围应由所附的权利要求来限定。
Claims (10)
1.一种抗辐照高熵MAX相陶瓷,其特征在于,所述抗辐照高熵MAX相陶瓷的化学组成通式为(TiaZrbVcNbdTae)2AlC;其中,a+b+c+d+e=1。
2.根据权利要求1所述的抗辐照高熵MAX相陶瓷,其特征在于,所述化学组成通式(TiaZrbVcNbdTae)2AlC中,a= 0.05~0.2、b= 0.2~0.65、c= 0.05~0.2、d= 0.2~0.35、e=0.05~0.2。
3.根据权利要求1或2所述的抗辐照高熵MAX相陶瓷,其特征在于,所述抗辐照高熵MAX相陶瓷的致密度为98.0~99.5%。
4.一种根据权利要求1-3中任一项所述的抗辐照高熵MAX相陶瓷的制备方法,其特征在于,包括以下步骤:
(1)选取Ti、Zr、V、Nb、Ta、Al和C七种元素的单质粉体作为原料,根据通式(TiaZrbVcNbdTae)2AlC的摩尔比进行称量并混合均匀,得到粉体原料;
(2)将粉体原料预压成型后置于保护气氛中,于1400℃~1600℃下进行热压烧结0.5~2.5小时,得到所述抗辐照高熵MAX相陶瓷。
5.根据权利要求4所述的制备方法,其特征在于,所述单质粉体的纯度均大于99.5wt%。
6.根据权利要求4或5所述的制备方法,其特征在于,所述混合的方式为球磨混合;所述球磨混合的参数包括:溶剂为乙醇,研磨介质为WC球;球料质量比为4~6:1,球磨转速为300~600 r/min。
7.根据权利要求6所述的制备方法,其特征在于,将球磨混合得到的浆料进行干燥;所述干燥的方式为真空旋蒸,旋蒸温度控制为65℃。
8.根据权利要求4-7中任一项所述的制备方法,其特征在于,所述保护气氛为惰性气氛,优选为氩气气氛。
9.根据权利要求4-8中任一项所述的制备方法,其特征在于,所述热压烧结的升温速率为15~30℃/min,升温过程中热压压力为6~12 MPa;在烧结温度下的保温过程中热压压力为20~30 MPa。
10.根据权利要求4-9中任一项所述的制备方法,其特征在于,在热压烧结完成之后进行冷却,所述冷却的方式为自然冷却到室温。
