更具体地,本发明涉及这样一种方法:在该方法中,溶解二氧化硅被吸附在可再生的吸附性材料上。
背景技术
硅(Si)存在于众多岩石和沉积物中。通过各种化学变化过程,这种元素存在于各种类型的水(海水、咸水、河水和湖水等)中。尽管水中的硅化学是复杂且知之甚少的,但已知硅酸以可溶形式(“溶解二氧化硅”)存在于这些水中,其浓度特别取决于它们所含的化学物质以及它们的温度。然而,当希望将这种水用于某些应用时,这种溶解二氧化硅具有许多缺点。
实际上,这种溶解二氧化硅会在某些条件下沉淀,从而导致使用这种水的某些设备出现故障。
例如,它在以下水中的存在是不希望的:打算供给锅炉的水,打算在蒸发浓缩器中处理的水,打算通过膜过滤装置(特别是整合有反渗透膜的过滤装置)处理的水等。在这些设备中,溶解二氧化硅会沉淀并使设备结垢或堵塞。
这种溶解二氧化硅本身也会构成引起麻烦的物质,这不是因为它会沉淀,而是因为它的存在将会干扰某些水处理中涉及的某些化学或物理化学反应。例如,在某些液-液萃取方法中,二氧化硅的存在会产生胶体杂质,从而极大地干扰相分离。另一个例子是溶解二氧化硅在旨在去除其他化合物的螯合树脂方法中的干扰性质。
现有技术中存在各种用于降低水中的溶解二氧化硅含量的技术。
因而,它们可被凝结或电凝结,然后进行澄清。但是,这些方法会产生也要必须进行处理的污泥,并且涉及到使用大量的凝结剂,这增加了它们的成本。
在碱金属存在下共沉淀溶解二氧化硅也是已知的。除了这种技术也需要大量化学试剂(如苛性钠或石灰)来导致形成不溶性碱金属盐这一事实之外,它还需要在溶解在待处理水中的碱金属浓度低时必须向所述水中添加大量高度可溶的碱金属盐如氯化镁。因此,这项技术也被证明实施起来相对昂贵。

为此目的使用离子交换树脂在工业上是不可行的。实际上,由于溶解二氧化硅主要仅在pH值>9.4时才被离子化,因此通过这种方法对其进行消除则会要求调节pH在碱性范围内,这对于含有一定碱度和/或硬度的水来说会导致不希望的碳酸盐沉淀。而且,由于此类阴离子树脂对溶解二氧化硅并不是严格选择性的,因此这些树脂的大部分交换容量将被待处理水中存在的其他阴离子(Cl-、Br-、SO4 2-、...)利用。该阴离子交换树脂的这种选择性的缺乏使得这种方法在工业上不可持续地去除二氧化硅,因为它需要使用过大量的树脂。
发明内容
这个需求由于本发明而得到满足,本发明涉及一种用于处理水以降低其溶解二氧化硅含量的方法,其特征在于该方法包括至少一个吸附步骤,该吸附步骤在于使所述水在容纳由氢氧化铁(III)和/或羟基氧化铁(III)的颗粒组成的吸附性颗粒材料的反应器中通过;以及至少一个再生所述颗粒材料的吸附能力的步骤,该步骤在于使所述颗粒材料与碱和至少一种氯化物接触。
本发明因而提出使用这种材料来吸附溶解二氧化硅,并且当其对这种化学物质的吸附能力不足时,则通过使其与碱性溶液和至少一种氯化物溶液接触来再生这种吸附能力。含有这些物质的介质可以多次使用,直到它们的二氧化硅含量过高或被估计过高。因此,与现有技术相比,该方法在化学试剂方面的成本较低。
据本发明人所知,在现有技术中从未提出过联合使用碱和氯化物来再生铁(III)的氢氧化物或羟基氧化物的吸附能力。本发明人观察到,这些溶液的使用可以保持这些化合物的结晶形式。而正是这种结晶形式允许二氧化硅吸附在这种类型的材料上。
优选地,所述吸附性颗粒材料的至少一部分为四方纤铁矿的形式。
四方纤铁矿是一种氢氧化铁(III)的矿物形式,具有的分子式为β-Fe3+O(OH,Cl)。这种材料已知可以吸附二氧化硅(Naren et al.Ad-sorption Kinetics of silicilicacid on akaganeite 2013J.Colloid Interface Sci.399-2013 87-91),但这种性能从未在工业阶段被利用,因为已知没有有效的再生方法允许其吸附性能被保持。
优选地,所述颗粒材料包含至少5%重量的四方纤铁矿。

具体实施方式
参考图1,水处理设备包括待处理水的储器1、含有吸附性颗粒材料3的反应器2、经处理的水的储器4和再生溶液储器5。
待处理水的储器1通过配备有阀1b的管道1a连接到反应器2的上部,并且经处理的水的储器4通过配备有阀4b的管道4a连接到反应器2的下部。
再生溶液储器5本身通过配备有阀5b和泵5c的管道5a连接到反应器2的下部,并且反应器2的上部通过再循环管道5e连接到这个再生溶液储器5。最后,这个再生溶液储器5包括排出管道5d。
应指出,反应器2中的吸附性颗粒床3的高度可根据实施模式而变化,并且其通常为0.5m-2m。
颗粒床3由含有至少5%重量的四方纤铁矿的羟基氧化铁的0.2mm-5mm的颗粒组成。
为了处理储器1中所含的水以减少溶解二氧化硅含量,打开阀1b和4b以允许所述水以向下流动的方式通过管道1a流入反应器2中并因此与吸附性颗粒材料3接触。经处理的水通过管4a回收在储器4中。要指出,在其他实施模式中,还可以考虑使待处理的水以向上流动的方式在反应器中通过。
这个吸附步骤以5-30BV/h(“床体积/小时”)的体积负载来进行,即每立方米颗粒床每小时5-30立方米的水通过。
在吸附步骤的实施过程中,颗粒吸附床逐渐负载二氧化硅,并且其吸附能力降低。
根据所述实施模式,因此可考虑监测在储器4中回收的经处理的水中残余的溶解二氧化硅的浓度,或者选择将吸附步骤限制在预定的持续时间。
一旦吸附床被认为具有低于给定阈值的吸附容量或已经运行足够长的时间,则关闭阀1b然后是4b,以中断待处理的水在反应器中的通过。
然后可实施颗粒床3的吸附能力的再生步骤。
为此生产再生介质。在本实施例的范围内,使用1N的氢氧化钠NaOH溶液,其中溶解了50g/L的0.86N的氯化钠NaCl。
然后打开阀5b,并且操作泵5c以将这种再生溶液注入吸附性颗粒床3中。再生溶液然后通过颗粒床并通过再循环管道5e在反应器2的上部回收,该再循环管道5e允许将所述再生溶液再引导至储器5。在这个再生步骤期间,吸附在含有至少5%重量四方纤铁矿的羟基氧化铁颗粒上的二氧化硅被转移到再生溶液中。
在该步骤结束时,关闭泵5c并关闭阀5b,然后重新打开阀1b和4b以开始新的吸附步骤。
因此可使用相同的再生溶液进行包括吸附步骤和再生步骤的多个循环。所述再生溶液逐渐负载二氧化硅,并且当其二氧化硅浓度被认为过高和/或在预定次数的此类循环结束时,已消耗的再生溶液可通过管道5d排出并且完全或部分地被替换为新的再生溶液。
因此,根据本发明的方法不太大量消耗试剂(碱和氯化物)。
作为对比,在20℃和50℃下使用不含氯化物但仅含有1N NaOH的再生溶液。
在图2的曲线图中,横坐标是以BV/h为单位的体积负载,并且纵坐标是以每克吸附性材料的SiO2毫克数表示的吸附性颗粒床的吸附能力。
在这个曲线图上,上面的曲线反映了根据本发明使用由1N NaOH和50g/L NaCl制成的上述再生介质在20℃下再生后的颗粒床的吸附能力,而下面的两条曲线反映了使用含有1N NaOH但不含氯化物的再生介质在20℃下(下部曲线)和在50℃下(中部曲线)再生后的相同颗粒床的吸附能力。
根据这个曲线图,当根据本发明在再生溶液中存在氯离子时,吸附床的再生明显更好。即使将仅含有NaOH的再生溶液在50℃下加热,吸附床的再生性能仍然低于根据本发明由NaOH和NaCl生产的再生溶液所观察到的再生性能。
根据本实施模式的方法使用每升300mg溶解二氧化硅的待处理的水来进行。在利用含有氯化物和碱的再生溶液的第一次、第七次和第八次再生循环之后测量吸附性材料上吸附的二氧化硅的量。结果在下表1中给出。这些结果还表明,出人意料地,颗粒状材料的吸附能力随着根据本发明推荐的再生循环数而增加。重复这些测试并获得相同的令人惊讶的结果,突显了由这种再生模式导致的材料上新吸附位点的可能且持续的活化和/或发展。应用于溶解二氧化硅浓度为70mg(SiO2)/L至100mg(SiO2)/L的待处理的水的本发明方法也显示出颗粒材料的吸附能力随着根据本发明的再生循环数而增加,数值接近于表1中给出的值。

Claims (9)
1.一种用于处理水以降低其溶解二氧化硅含量的方法,其特征在于,该方法包括至少一个吸附所述溶解二氧化硅的步骤,该步骤在于使所述水在容纳由氢氧化铁(III)和/或羟基氧化铁(III)的颗粒组成的吸附性颗粒材料的反应器中通过;以及至少一个再生所述颗粒材料的吸附能力的步骤,该步骤在于使所述颗粒材料与碱和至少一种氯化物接触。
2.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其特征在于,所述吸附性颗粒材料的至少一部分为四方纤铁矿的形式。
3.根据权利要求2所述的方法,其特征在于,所述材料包含至少5%重量的四方纤铁矿。
4.根据权利要求1-3中任一项所述的方法,其特征在于,所述再生步骤利用包含所述碱和所述氯化物的再生溶液来进行。
5.根据权利要求1-3中任一项所述的方法,其特征在于,所述再生步骤利用两种再生溶液来进行,一种包含所述碱,另一种包含所述氯化物。
6.根据权利要求1-5中任一项所述的方法,其特征在于,所述碱选自NaOH、KOH、NH4OH、LiOH。
7.根据权利要求1-6中任一项所述的方法,其特征在于,所述氯化物选自NaCl、KCl、LiCl、NH4Cl、MgCl2、CaCl2、BaCl2、MnCl2。
8.根据权利要求1-7中任一项所述的方法,其特征在于,所述颗粒材料以固定床的形式使用,并且所述吸附步骤以每立方米颗粒材料每小时5-30立方米的水通过的体积负载来进行。
9.根据权利要求1-8中任一项所述的方法,其特征在于,所述氢氧化铁(III)和/或羟基氧化铁(III)的颗粒具有0.2mm-5mm的尺寸。
