Description
技术领域
本发明涉及一种涂料组合物以及纸材,且特别是所述涂料组合物具有耐水及耐油性质,以及所述涂料组合物可以用于涂布纸材。
背景技术
近年来,一次性塑料及不可回收塑料产品等塑料废弃物已逐渐成为全球性问题。在习知技术中,纸杯或纸质容器上的聚乙烯衬里可保留热度并排除液体。然而,由于大多数纸类回收厂皆缺乏将聚乙烯薄膜过滤掉的设备,如此一来,聚乙烯薄膜材质限制了使用完毕后纸杯和纸质容器的可回收性,因此,许多国家最近已开始减少使用石油衍生的包装材料,转而采用生物基(bio-based)包装材料。
基于上述,开发一种用于纸材的涂料组成物,以取代习知的聚乙烯薄膜衬里,进而改善使用完毕后纸杯和纸质容器的可回收性,为本领域技术人员亟欲发展的目标。
发明内容
本发明提供一种涂料组合物,涂料组合物不仅具有高耐水性质、高耐油性质,同时具有可热封性。
本发明的涂料组合物包括100重量份的丙烯酸树脂以及25至200重量份的黏土,黏土的长径比(aspect ratio)大于20。
在本发明的一实施例中,丙烯酸树脂包括苯乙烯丙烯酸树脂、甲基丙烯酸树脂或苯乙烯-丁二烯树脂。
在本发明的一实施例中,黏土具有层状结构。
本发明还提供一种纸材,该纸材的至少一表面涂布上述涂料组合物,以形成第一涂布层。
在本发明的一实施例中,第一涂布层的涂布重量为5g/m2至20g/m2。
在本发明的一实施例中,在纸材的第一涂布层上进一步涂布上述涂料组合物或苯乙烯丙烯酸树脂,以形成第二涂布层。
在本发明的一实施例中,第二涂布层的涂布重量为5g/m2至20g/m2,且第一涂布层的涂布重量与第二涂布层的涂布重量的总和不大于25g/m2。
在本发明的一实施例中,纸材的基重为30g/m2至600g/m2。
在本发明的一实施例中,纸材的纸密度为0.45g/m2至0.85g/cm3。
基于上述,本发明提供一种涂料组合物以及纸材,涂料组合物包括100重量份的丙烯酸树脂以及25至200重量份的黏土,黏土的长径比(aspect ratio)大于20,其不仅具有高耐水性质、高耐油性质以及可热封性,且以本发明的纸材制备的纸容器或封口纸在纸浆再制浆过程中,上述涂料组合物形成的涂布层容易与纸材分离,可以达到95%以上的纸纤回收率。

具体实施方式
以下,将详细描述本发明的实施例。然而,这些实施例为例示性,且本发明揭露不限于此。
在本文中,由“一数值至另一数值”表示的范围,是一种避免在说明书中一一列举该范围中的所有数值的概要性表示方式。因此,某一特定数值范围的记载,涵盖该数值范围内的任意数值以及由该数值范围内的任意数值界定出的较小数值范围,如同在说明书中说明文写出该任意数值和该较小数值范围一样。
本发明提供一种涂料组合物,其具有耐水及耐油性质,包括100重量份的丙烯酸树脂以及25至200重量份的黏土,黏土的长径比(aspect ratio)大于20,且黏土具有层状结构,可以提供良好的遮蔽性使水分不容易穿透纸层,并与树脂混合时提供抗黏的优异操作性。由于本发明的涂料组合物包括黏土,因此,可降低使用丙烯酸树脂的材料成本,同时更能提高阻水性能,干燥后更能维持被涂布材料的尺寸稳定性。在本实施例中,丙烯酸树脂可包括苯乙烯丙烯酸树脂、甲基丙烯酸树脂或苯乙烯-丁二烯树脂,但本发明并不以此为限。
本发明另提供一种纸材,其至少一表面涂布上述涂料组合物,以形成第一涂布层,其中第一涂布层的涂布重量例如是5g/m2至20g/m2。虽然在纸材的至少一表面涂布上述涂料组合物,以形成第一涂布层,即可达成本发明的发明目的,但本发明的较佳实施方式可在纸材的第一涂布层上进一步涂布上述涂料组合物或苯乙烯丙烯酸树脂,以形成第二涂布层。在此较佳实施例中,第二涂布层的涂布重量例如是5g/m2至20g/m2,且第一涂布层的涂布重量与第二涂布层的涂布重量的总和例如是不大于25g/m2。必须说明的是,当第二涂布层由上述涂料组合物形成时,用于形成第一涂布层以及第二涂布层的涂料组合物皆可包括100重量份的丙烯酸树脂以及25至200重量份的黏土,但用于形成第一涂布层以及第二涂布层的涂料组合物的黏土含量可以相同或不同。
在本实施例中,纸材的基重例如是30g/m2至600g/m2,纸材的纸密度例如是0.45g/m2至0.85g/cm3。当纸材的纸密度在上述范围内时,具有可挠性,比较有利于包装纸材的加工。
本发明所述的纸材包括纸或纸板,也可以是木材、聚合物基材(例如:聚乙烯)或其他任何可以涂布本发明的涂料组合物的基材,不以此为限。本发明提供的纸材具有耐水及耐油性质,适合做为纸类食品包装材料,包括纸袋、纸容器、纸盒或纸杯。此外,本发明提供的纸材亦具有可热封性,可用于制备饮料杯的封口纸,取代塑料封膜。
以下,藉由实验例来详细说明上述实施例所提出的涂料组合物以及纸材。然而,下述实验例并非用以限制本发明。
制备纸材
藉由具有加拿大标准游离度(Canadian standard freeness,CSF)350ml的硬木牛皮纸浆(LBKP)和软木牛皮纸浆(NBKP)获得原料纸浆。用造纸机对原料纸浆进行造纸,以得到基重为310g/m2的纸材。将纸材进一步压延以提高表面光滑度,且纸密度为0.65±0.1g/cm3。
制备涂料组合物
通过混合机将作为分散剂添加的黏土(长径比为25)和聚丙烯酸钠(相对于黏土为0.3份,干重)分散,以制备固体成分浓度为68%的高岭土浆料。以苯乙烯丙烯酸树脂(Michelman制造的Coat 95,简称为“MC95”)∶黏土=100∶25、100∶33、100∶50、100∶75、100∶100、100∶200的干重比,将所得的高岭土浆料与MC95混合,以制备用于以下纸材涂布的涂料组合物。
纸材涂布
以100m/min的运行速度在上文中制备的纸材上涂布涂料组合物,并干燥以形成第一涂布层。然后,以100m/min的运行速度在纸材的第一涂布层上进一步涂布涂料组合物或苯乙烯丙烯酸树脂,以形成第二涂布层。下方表1列出了实例1至实例17以及比较例1至比较例3中第一涂布层以及第二涂布层的涂布重量和MC95/黏土比例(涂料组合物)。同时,分别以TAPPIT 441测试方法以及The TAPPIT 559测试方法评估实例1至实例17以及比较例1至比较例3的耐水及耐油性质,评估结果列于以下表1中。
TAPPI T 441测试方法藉由Cobb吸水度测试仪测量涂布层的吸水率。吸水率(Cobb值)定义为特定时间内(表1中所列的是30分钟内的Cobb值)在1厘米水深下1平方米的纸、纸板或瓦楞纤维板吸收的水量,标准测试时间为120秒。基本上,当Cobb值越低,则代表耐水性越好。
The TAPPIT 559测试方法也被称为试剂盒测试(kit test),是用于测量涂布层的耐油性。The TAPPIT 559测试方法包括将一滴蓖麻油、庚烷和甲苯的混合物滴在经涂布的纸材上,并在15秒后观察经涂布的纸材是否变黑。总共使用了十二种不同的混合物,基于混合物的渗透性,将混合物编号为混合物1至混合物12,其中混合物12渗透性最大,而混合物1渗透性最小。混合物中蓖麻油含量越少,混合物的腐蚀性就越强。当至少一部分测试混合物被经涂布的纸材吸收时,通过经涂布的纸材的变黑或变色来表示“失败”,样品分数是经涂布的纸材未“失败”时使用的编号最高的混合物(混合物1至混合物12),在表1中被称为“试剂盒级别(Kit no.)”。基本上,当Kit no.值越高,则代表耐油性越好。

由上方表1可得知,具备由本发明涂料组合物形成的第一涂布层的实例1至实例17均呈现良好的耐水及耐油性质。此外,具备由本发明涂料组合物或苯乙烯丙烯酸树脂形成的第二涂布层的实例1至实例11呈现更佳的耐水性质。此外,比较例1至比较例3仅使用苯乙烯丙烯酸树脂作为涂料组合物,相较之下,具备由本发明涂料组合物或苯乙烯丙烯酸树脂形成的第二涂布层(实例1至实例11)有更好的耐水性质。
综上所述,本发明提供一种涂料组合物以及纸材,涂料组合物包括100重量份的丙烯酸树脂以及25至200重量份的黏土,黏土的长径比(aspect ratio)大于20。本发明纸材的至少一表面涂布上述涂料组合物,如此一来,不仅具有高耐水性质、高耐油性质以及可热封性,且在纸浆再制浆过程中可以被完全回收,因此,本发明可以有效地解决习知聚乙烯薄膜材料可回收性不佳的缺点。

Claims (9)
1.一种涂料组合物,其具有耐水及耐油性质,其特征在于,包括:
100重量份的丙烯酸树脂;以及
25至200重量份的黏土,所述黏土的长径比大于20。
2.根据权利要求1所述的涂料组合物,其特征在于,所述丙烯酸树脂包括苯乙烯丙烯酸树脂、甲基丙烯酸树脂或苯乙烯-丁二烯树脂。
3.根据权利要求1所述的涂料组合物,其特征在于,所述黏土具有层状结构。
4.一种纸材,其特征在于,其至少一表面涂布如权利要求1至3中任一项所述的涂料组合物,以形成第一涂布层。
5.根据权利要求4所述的纸材,其特征在于,所述第一涂布层的涂布重量为5g/m2至20g/m2。
6.根据权利要求4所述的纸材,其特征在于,在所述纸材的所述第一涂布层上进一步涂布如权利要求1至3中任一项所述的涂料组合物或苯乙烯丙烯酸树脂,以形成第二涂布层。
7.根据权利要求6所述的纸材,其特征在于,所述第二涂布层的涂布重量为5g/m2至20g/m2,且所述第一涂布层的涂布重量与所述第二涂布层的涂布重量的总和不大于25g/m2。
8.根据权利要求4所述的纸材,其特征在于,所述纸材的基重为30g/m2至600g/m2。
9.根据权利要求4所述的纸材,其特征在于,所述纸材的纸密度为0.45g/m2至0.85g/cm3。
