Description

Cultivation management method for landscape blueberries
Technical Field
The invention relates to a cultivation and management method of landscape blueberries.
Background
The blueberry is attractive in color and sweet in taste, and is an important economic fruit. Moreover, the shrub has white general flower catkins in spring, the color of the fruit is changed from green to red until the fruit is blue, and the leaves are burnt red in autumn, so that the shrub has high ornamental value. Blueberry hedges, as a functional and low maintenance landscape hedge plant, can grow as high as 2m, enough to act as a hedge barrier. However, the ornamental blueberries are different from the common field blueberries in planting purpose, and no suitable landscape blueberry cultivation and management method exists at present.
Content of the specification
The invention provides a cultivation and management method of landscape blueberries aiming at the main requirements of pursuing tall and straight trees, flower and leaf observation and simple maintenance of ornamental blueberries, so as to achieve the effects of flower and fruit observation in spring and red leaf observation in autumn of blueberry hedges.
A cultivation and management method of landscape blueberries comprises the following steps:
1) and (3) soil pH determination: in the region for constructing the blueberry hedgerow, soil with the depth of 10-15cm is obtained at intervals of 1 meter for testing, if the soil is not suitable, the pH value of the soil is adjusted to 4.0-5.5 by using sulfur powder or aluminum sulfate, and the sulfur powder is applied 1 year or the current year before field planting;
2) ridging, namely ridging until the fall from the ridge top to the drainage ditch bottom is 50cm, and the ridge width is 80 cm;
3) soil cave improvement: digging seed holes with diameter of 40cm and depth of 40-50cm, wherein the plant spacing of the rabbit-eye blueberries is 1.2 m, and the plant spacing of the high cluster blueberries is 1.0 m; filling seed holes with an organic matter mixture, wherein the organic matter mixture comprises, by weight, 1 part of decomposed sheep manure: 1 part of yerbadetajo or peat: 1 part of rice hull: 1 part of sawdust;
4) planting: planting blueberries from late autumn to late winter, keeping the soil covering just over the roots, and covering the roots with 8-10cm of pine needles or barks to keep the moisture and entropy of the root soil and thoroughly water the newly-planted plants;
5) and (3) interplanting tea trees: acidizing surrounding soil by using allelopathy of tea trees to create an acid soil environment required by the blueberries;
6) fertilizing: after the leaves of the newly grown blueberries completely grow, fertilizing the newly grown blueberries, opening a fertilizing groove 30cm away from the root of each blueberry, applying 15ml of ternary compound fertilizer, and repeatedly applying fertilizer every six weeks until the middle ten days of August;
7) trimming:
7.1) reserving 1-2 main branches at the base part and controlling the crown breadth;
7.2) once the inclination angle of the lateral branches is more than 50 degrees, the lateral branches retract to the base part, and the whole tree is guaranteed to be trimmed to be upright;
7.3) flower thinning is not performed in spring, fruit thinning is not performed in summer, and trimming is not performed in autumn.
The invention has the beneficial effects that:
the invention provides a method suitable for planting and daily management of ornamental blueberries aiming at the main requirements of ornamental blueberry hedges on pursuing tree shape straightening and simple maintenance, so as to achieve the effects of flower-looking in spring, fruit-looking in summer and red leaves-looking in autumn. The tea tree mixed planting mode can provide an acid soil environment for the blueberry ornamental hedges, and a high-low staggered blueberry hedge matching mode and a rich color matching mode in different seasons are formed.

Detailed Description
The invention is further illustrated by the following figures and examples.
A cultivation and management method of landscape blueberries comprises the following steps:
1) and (3) soil pH determination: in the region for constructing the blueberry hedgerow, soil with the depth of 10-15cm is obtained at intervals of 1 meter for testing, if the soil is not suitable, the pH value of the soil is adjusted to 4.0-5.5 by using sulfur powder or aluminum sulfate, and the sulfur powder is applied 1 year or the current year before field planting;
2) ridging, namely ridging until the fall from the ridge top to the drainage ditch bottom is 50cm, and the ridge width is 80 cm; as shown in fig. 1;
3) soil cave improvement: digging seed holes with diameter of 40cm and depth of 40-50cm, wherein the plant spacing of the rabbit-eye blueberries is 1.2 m, and the plant spacing of the high cluster blueberries is 1.0 m; filling seed holes with an organic matter mixture, wherein the organic matter mixture comprises, by weight, 1 part of decomposed sheep manure: 1 part of yerbadetajo or peat: 1 part of rice hull: 1 part of sawdust;
4) planting: planting blueberries from late autumn to late winter, keeping the soil covering just over the roots, and covering the roots with 8-10cm of pine needles or barks to keep the moisture and entropy of the root soil and thoroughly water the newly-planted plants;
5) and (3) interplanting tea trees: through investigation and analysis (table 1), the tea trees can acidify the soil around the tea trees to create a required acid soil environment for the blueberries;
Figure DEST_PATH_IMAGE001
tea trees are planted in the middles of the blueberries, but the heights of the tea trees are controlled to be below 1.5m, the crown widths are limited within 1.0m, and the tea trees are mainly used as auxiliary plants for hybridization. Thus, the blueberry hedges with different heights are matched, and the color is rich and matched in different seasons.
6) Fertilizing: after the leaves of the newly grown blueberries completely grow, fertilizing the newly grown blueberries, opening a fertilizing groove 30cm away from the root of each blueberry, applying 15ml of ternary compound fertilizer (STANLEY/Stadanli, N-P2O5-K2O =19:19:19), and repeatedly fertilizing every six weeks until the middle ten days of August;
7) trimming:
7.1) earlier stage research shows that only one branch of a blueberry tree is reserved, the diameter of the branch can reach about 6cm at the widest, and the blueberry plant is made into a tree. Therefore, as an ornamental hedgerow blueberry, 1-2 main branches at the base part are reserved, and the crown width is controlled to be 80-100 cm; this is in direct contrast to production-type blueberries.
Figure 637258DEST_PATH_IMAGE002
7.2) once the inclination angle of the lateral branches is more than 50 degrees, the lateral branches retract to the base part, and the whole tree is trimmed to be a vertical type.
7.3) not thinning flowers in spring, not thinning fruits in summer and not cutting in autumn. This is in direct contrast to the operation of production blueberries.
The embodiments in the above description can be further combined or replaced, and the embodiments are only described as preferred examples of the present invention, and do not limit the concept and scope of the present invention, and various changes and modifications made to the technical solution of the present invention by those skilled in the art without departing from the design concept of the present invention belong to the protection scope of the present invention. The scope of the invention is given by the appended claims and any equivalents thereof.
