清洗和润湿隐形眼镜的组合物
                  发明背景
本发明涉及清洗和润湿隐形眼镜的组合物,该组合物包括亲水亲油平衡值(HLB)至少为约18的含聚氧化乙烯的物质,对隐形眼镜积垢有清洁作用的表面活性剂和润湿剂。
隐形眼镜的保养维护包含各种作用,例如用含有表面活性剂作为主要清洁剂的隐形眼镜溶液定期清洗隐形眼镜。清洗之后通常需要漂洗隐形眼镜以除去松动的残渣。另外,维护过程可包括对镜片的消毒处理,在放入眼睛之前使镜片表面更易润湿的处理,或以使眼镜在眼睛里感觉更舒适对镜片表面的调节处理(例如,使其润滑或缓冲)。另外的例子是隐形眼镜佩戴者在佩戴期间需要在眼睛中直接滴入一种称为再湿润滴液的溶液来再润湿眼镜。
在维护的各个环节可以使用专用溶液。而出于方便,多功能的隐形眼镜溶液已受到欢迎,即该溶液可以用于维护保养的各个环节。
作为实例,已提出了用于清洁、存放和调节隐形眼镜的多功能隐形眼镜溶液。USP5,141,665(Sherman)公开了一种用于刚性透气性隐形眼镜的清洁、调节、存放和润湿的体系,该体系包括:(1)清洁、调节和存放的溶液;和(2)专用润湿溶液,其中两种溶液均含有杀菌剂或防腐剂。用第一种溶液处理后的眼镜冲洗,然后用专用润湿溶液润湿,再放入眼睛。
可有效地清洁镜片并可在眼镜放入眼睛之前用来直接处理镜片的多功能隐形眼镜溶液是更难以开发的多功能溶液。对于隐形眼镜积垢具有良好清洗活性的常规表面活性剂,以及各种其它成分,如作为防腐剂和消毒剂存在的灭菌剂等易对眼睛具有刺激作用。另外,表面活性剂还不能抑制溶液的润湿和调节作用。
也已提出这样一类用于清洁和润湿隐形眼镜的多功能隐形眼镜溶液,该溶液使用刺激性很小或无刺激的表面活性剂作为主清洗剂。作为实例,USP3,882,036和3,954,644(Krezanoski等)提出包含有对眼睛刺激很小或没有刺激的聚氧化乙烯-聚氧化丙烯嵌段共聚物(也称为Poloxamer)作为主清洁剂的组合物。
USP4,820,352(Riedhammer等)提出用于清洁和调节隐形眼镜并且完全没有刺激的组合物,用这种溶液处理的隐形眼镜可以直接放入眼内。优选的组合物使用一类特定的乙二胺的聚氧化乙烯-聚氧化丙烯嵌段共聚物加合物(又称为Poloxamine)作为主清洁剂,该清洁剂既能有效的进行清洁,又对眼睛的刺激很小或没有刺激。
尽管在Riedhammer专利中描述的这类特定的Poloxamine表面活性剂对隐形眼镜的积垢具有良好的清洗作用并且对眼睛的刺激很小,但表现为对眼睛有可接受刺激水平的其他表面活性剂对隐形眼镜积垢具有较低的清洁能力。因此,后一方法在降低对眼的刺激性的同时,导致良好清洁能力的损失。
发明概述
本发明提供用于清洁和润湿隐形眼镜的水性组合物,该组合物包括:
(a)HLB值至少为约18的非胺的含聚氧化乙烯的物质;
(b)对隐形眼镜积垢有清洁活性的表面活性剂;和
(c)润湿剂。
该组合物具有有效的清洁活性,并能有效地润湿隐形眼镜表面。此外,该组合物达到了所要求的清洁作用,并对眼睛几乎没有刺激。根据优选的实施方案,该溶液几乎没有刺激性,因此,用该组合物处理的隐形眼镜可直接放入眼内,也就是说,无须从眼镜上漂洗掉该组合物,或该组合物可用作再润湿溶液直接滴入眼内。
发明详述
本发明的组合物是水性组合物,包括:
(a)HLB值至少为约18的非胺的含聚氧化乙烯的物质;
(b)对隐形眼镜积垢有清洁活性的表面活性剂;和
(c)润湿剂。
第一种组分是HLB值至少为约18的非胺的含聚氧化乙烯的物质。通常,当用作主清洁剂时这类物质对隐形眼镜积垢不是特别有效的清洁剂。但是,申请人发现,当这些物质和具有良好清洁活性的表面活性剂共用时,此高HLB值物质使组合物源于例如表面活性剂和其它成分的对眼睛的可能刺激性减缓。因此,尽管不这样做表面活性剂对眼睛有刺激,但在本组合物中却可以使用这样的表面活性剂。
另外,除了聚乙二醇或聚氧化乙烯的高HLB值均聚物外,代表性的HLB值至少为18的含PEO的物质还包括某些聚氧化乙烯-聚氧化丙烯的嵌段共聚物,也称为Poloxamers。这类物质的商品名称为Pluronic,可从BASF Corp,Parsippany,New Jersey,U.S.A.购得,包括Pluronic F108和F127。其他合适的含PEO的物质包括乙氧基化的葡糖衍生物。如甲基gluceth-20,包括可从Amerchol Corp.,Edison,New Jersey,U.S.A购得的名称为Glucam E-20的产品,以及高HLB值的山梨醇或丙三醇的乙氧基化的非离子醚类,例如可以商品名Ethosperse得到的产品,包括以名Ethosperse SL-20提供的Sorbeth-20和以名Ethosperse G-26提供的glycereth-26(Lonza Inc.,Fair Lawn,New Jersey,U.S.A)。
代表性的含PEO物质以及其HLB值和分子量列于表A。为便于比较,HLB值低于约18的两种含PEO的物质[Polysorbate 20(Tween 20)和Poloxamer Pluronic P104]也列于其中。HLB值和分子量由生产者提供,或根据化学结构估算。

代表性阴离子表面活性剂包括硫酸化和磺化的表面活性剂,以及它们的在生理上可接受的盐,它们对脂类、蛋白质类和其它的隐形眼镜积垢有良好的清洁活性。具体的例子有十二烷基硫酸钠、Laureth硫酸钠(乙氧基十二醇硫酸钠)、laureth硫酸铵(乙氧基十二醇硫酸铵)、trideceth硫酸钠(乙氧基十三醇硫酸钠)、十二烷基苯磺酸钠、十二醇或laureth磺化琥珀酸酯二钠(十二醇或乙氧基十二醇的磺化琥珀酸半酯的二钠盐)、油酰胺磺化琥珀酸酯二钠和磺化琥珀酸钠二辛酯(磺化琥珀酸2-乙基己醇二酯的钠盐)。

本组合物可含有阳离子表面活性剂,代表性的阳离子表面活性剂包括三季磷酸酯,如可从Mona Industries,Inc.,Patterson,NewJersey,U.S.A以商品名Monaquat购得的各种阳离子表面活性。

对隐形眼镜积垢具有清洁活性的表面活性剂包含含有可离子化基团的侧链的硅氧烷聚合物。含具有磺酸根或磺化琥珀酸根的侧链的二甲基聚硅氧烷可以商品名Silube WS-100和Silube SS-154-100得到(Siltech,Inc.,Norcross,Georgia,USA)。含具有磷酸甜菜碱(phosphobetaine)基团的侧链的二甲基聚硅氧烷可以商品名称Silicone phosphobetaine(Siltech,Inc.)购得。含具有两性基团的侧链的二甲基聚硅氧烷可以商品名称Siltech Amphoteric(Siltech,Inc.)购得,由丙二醇甜菜碱取代的二甲基聚硅氧烷可以商品名称Abil B 9950从Goldschmidt Chemical Corp.,Hopewell,Virginia,USA购得。本发明的组合物特别适用这类硅氧烷聚合物,这些聚合物比许多常用清洗剂(例如上述的阴离子表面活性剂)的刺激性小。

根据优选实施方案,组合物还含有润湿剂。虽然在某些情况下高HLB值的含PEO成分会对组合物提供润湿能力,但含有辅助的润湿剂确保了组合物有效地润湿用它处理的隐形眼镜。
代表性润湿剂包括:纤维素类物质,例如阳离子纤维素聚合物、羟丙基甲基纤维素、羟乙基纤维素和甲基纤维素、聚乙烯醇和聚乙烯吡咯烷酮。

该组合物对于软和硬的隐形眼镜都适用。硬隐形眼镜包括聚甲基丙烯酸酯隐形眼镜和由硅氧烷聚合物或氟硅氧烷聚合物制成的刚性透气性(RGP)眼镜。软隐形眼镜包括亲水水凝胶眼镜。
清洗隐形眼镜时将眼镜放入清洗组合物中,优选把眼镜浸入组合物中,接着进行搅动,例如使组合物与镜片表面摩擦。然后冲洗眼镜以一同除去组合物和污染物。也可用组合物冲洗眼镜,或使用专用溶液冲洗。
在用组合物冲洗眼镜时,通常组合物将充分润湿眼镜表面。由于组合物的刺激性较低,因而眼镜能直接放入眼内。清洁过的眼镜随后也可用组合物处理,例如在组合物内将眼镜浸泡足够的时间以保证眼镜表面充分润湿。当用含灭菌剂的组合物处理眼镜时,最好将眼镜在其中浸泡足够的时间以消毒灭菌。在这个过程中,组合物用来清洗、灭菌和润湿眼镜,处理过的眼镜即可直接放入眼内。
该组合物可以通过将各种组分加入水中制备。代表性方法如下。将盐类和润湿剂,例如氯化钠、氯化钾、乙二胺四乙酸二钠、纤维素成分,和/或聚乙烯醇(PVA)加入到预定量的热水中并混合。将第一步的组合物进行冷却、过滤、并灭菌。将磷酸钠、磷酸钾、含PEO的物质、硅氧烷聚合物、表面活性剂和/或丙三醇加至预定量的水中并混合,然后灭菌和过滤。将灭菌剂加到预定量水的剩余水中,然后在混合作用下将三种组合物混合。
下面的实施例说明各种优选实施方案。
实施例1至6
制备列于表1A至1D中的系列溶液。如无特别说明,则表中的用量均按重量计量。实施例1至6说明本发明的多功能溶液。制备三种对照组合物。Ctrl-1A不含对眼睛有刺激作用的表面活性清洁剂。Ctrl-1B和1C同样也不含这种清洁剂,但含有HLB值至少为约18的非胺的含PEO的物质(Poloxamer 338,以Pluronic F108提供,BASF)。对比组合物内含具有清洁活性的表面活性剂:trideceth硫酸钠(Sipex EST-30,Rhone-Poulenc)或椰子两性丙酸盐(Miranol C2M,Rhone-Poulenc);对比组合物内不含高HLB值的含PEO物质。
组合物的刺激性通过以下方法来评价。每种组合物都取几滴滴入受试验者眼睛的Superior limbus,要求受试验者说明感觉刺激的症状(刺痛、痒、灼热),这些结果记录在“症状”一栏内,其中“P”表明阳性(受试验者报告有刺激),“N”表示阴性(受试验者没有感到刺激)。另外,评价受试验者角膜在组合物滴入之前和之后的情况以确定角膜的污染。这些结果填入“污染”一栏,其中“P”表示阳性(观察到角膜污染),“N”表明阴性(未观察到角膜被污染)。
数据表明含高HLB值的含PEO物质可用于减少组合物的刺激性。

实施例7至14
制备列于表2A至3D的系列溶液。实施例7至14说明了本发明的多功能溶液。对比组合物中含有对眼睛有刺激性的表面活性剂,但其中没有高HLB值的含PEO物质。应注意的是对比例5、7和9以及对比例10中包活含PEO的物质,Polysorbate 20(Tween 20,ICIAmericas,Inc.)或Poloxamer 334(pluronic P104,BASF),其HLB值较低(见表A)。
组合物的刺激性按前述例子中的方法进行评价。数据表明HLB值至少为约18的非胺含PEO物质可用于减少组合物的刺激性。相反,较低HLB值的含PEO物质不能明显地减少组合物的刺激性。

实施例15至41
制备表4至表9所示的本发明系列溶液,组合物的刺激性按前述实例的方法进行评价。
另外,测试组合物的清洗效率。作为清洗的样品,把眼镜在0.01%羊毛脂的己烷溶液中浸泡一夜,蒸发溶剂,类脂物(存在于羊毛脂中)的油脂膜残留在镜片上。然后眼镜进行如下步骤的清洗:将眼镜放在试验组合物中浸泡2小时,将2或3滴试验的组合液在眼镜上摩擦约20秒钟,再用自来水冲洗大约20秒。然后将眼镜晾干并在显微镜下检验。清洁效率分级于表中,其中相对分级用0至3表示;“0”表示无污垢,“1”表示微量污垢,“2”表示少量污垢,“3”表示明显沾染。

此外,在用过的眼镜上检验组合物的清洗效率。刚性透气性眼镜(RGP)戴了15至18小时,摘下后干晾一夜,第二天用手指在其上涂抹2至3滴试验用组合物进行清洗约20秒,用自来水冲洗,晾干。然后在显微镜下检验清洗过的眼镜,清洗效率分级与前述实例相同。

Claims (20)

1.清洗和润湿隐形眼镜的水性组合物,包括:
(a)HLB值至少为约18的非胺的含聚氧化乙烯的物质;
(b)对隐形眼镜积垢有清洗活性的表面活性剂;和
(c)润湿剂。
2.根据权利要求1的组合物,其中含聚氧化乙烯的物质是HLB值至少为约18的聚氧化乙烯-聚氧化丙烯嵌段共聚物。
3.根据权利要求1的组合物,其中含聚氧化乙烯的物质是HLB值至少为约18的乙氧基化的葡糖衍生物。
4.根据权利要求1的组合物,其中含聚氧化乙烯的物质是山梨醇的乙氧基化的醚类。
5.根据权利要求1的组合物,其中含聚氧化乙烯的物质是HLB值至少为约18的聚乙二醇。
6.根据权利要求1的组合物,包括对隐形眼镜积垢有清洗活性的非离子表面活性剂。
7.根据权利要求1的组合物,包括对隐形眼镜积垢有清洗活性的两性表面活性剂。
8.根据权利要求1的组合物,还包括防腐剂。
9.根据权利要求1的组合物,其中润湿剂选自聚乙烯醇和聚乙烯吡咯烷酮。
10.根据权利要求1的组合物,其中润湿剂是纤维素类物质。
11.根据权利要求1的组合物,其中润湿剂是含有烯化氧支链的硅氧烷聚合物。
12.根据权利要求1的组合物,还包括缓冲剂或张力调节剂。
13.清洁和润湿隐形眼镜的方法,包括将所述隐形眼镜暴露于水性组合物中,所述组合物包括:(ⅰ)HLB值至少为约18的非胺的含聚氧化乙烯的物质,(ⅱ)对隐形眼镜积垢有清洗活性的表面活性剂,和(ⅲ)润湿剂。
14.根据权利要求13的方法,其中含聚氧化乙烯的物质是HLB值至少为约18的聚氧化乙烯-聚氧化丙烯嵌段共聚物。
15.根据权利要求13的方法,其中含聚氧化乙烯的物质是HLB值至少为约18的乙氧基化葡糖衍生物。
16.根据权利要求13的方法,其中含聚氧化乙烯的物质是HLB值至少为约18的山梨醇的乙氧基化的醚。
17.根据权利要求13的方法,其中含聚氧化乙烯的物质是HLB值至少为约18的聚乙二醇。
18.清洁和润湿隐形眼镜的方法,包括:
(a)将所述隐形眼镜暴露于水性组合物中除去其上的污染物,所述组合物包括:(ⅰ)HLB值至少为约18的非胺的含聚氧化乙烯的物质,和(ⅱ)对隐形眼镜积垢有清洗活性的表面活性剂;并且然后
(b)用所述组合物处理隐形眼镜以润湿隐形眼镜的表面而便于放入眼睛内。
19.根据权利要求18的方法,还包括将处理后的隐形眼镜直接放入眼内。
20.清洁、消毒和润湿隐形眼镜的方法,包括:
(a)将所述隐形眼镜暴露于水性组合物中,并冲洗所述隐形眼镜去除其上的污染物,所述组合物包括:(ⅰ)HLB值至少为约18的非胺含聚氧化乙烯的物质,(ⅱ)对隐形眼镜积垢有清洁活性的表面活性剂,和(ⅲ)有效灭菌量的灭菌剂;然后再
(b)用所述组合液处理隐形眼镜足够长的时间,以对隐形眼镜消毒,并润湿其表面以便放入眼睛内。
