Cutting seedling method of rhododendron rivularis in subtropical mountainous regions in autumn and winter
Technical Field
The invention belongs to the field of vegetative propagation of plants, and particularly relates to a method for raising seedlings of rhododendron lineare by cutting in subtropical mountainous regions in autumn and winter.
Background
Rhododendron serpyllum (Rhododendron treated. -Mazz.) is a shrub or small tree type evergreen plant of the Rhododendron genus (Rhododendron) of the Ericaceae family (Ericaceae). The height is about 3-5m, and the seeds grow in the valley Mellin with the elevation of 750-1200m and are mainly distributed in Hunan, Hubei, Guangdong, Guangxi, Sichuan, Chongqing and Guizhou areas in China. The rhododendron rivularis is a shallow root plant, the distribution range of root systems is mainly concentrated in a soil layer which is 10-20cm away from the ground, the root systems are developed, and the rhododendron rivularis grows well in moist loose soil which is rich in humus and gravel. Meanwhile, the rhododendron rivularis has strong adaptability and can grow normally in the temperature range of-5 to 40 ℃. The stream rhododendron is a local tree species, and flowers, leaves and tree forms of the stream rhododendron can be viewed and appreciated, so that the stream rhododendron is not only an excellent landscaping tree species, but also an important water and soil conservation function of a wild stream rhododendron bush in a forest ecosystem of a middle-subtropical mountain region, and therefore the stream rhododendron can be used for ecological restoration of a fragile mountain.
The cutting propagation has the characteristics of simple operation, low cost, high propagation speed and the like, wherein the branch cutting rooting is the root primitive body formed by cambium and vascular bundle sheath tissues in the branch, so that adventitious roots grow and form a root system, and the advantage of stable inheritance of excellent characters of the parent can be effectively ensured.
In the past, cutting propagation of rhododendron rivularis is mostly carried out in summer, a nursery garden for seedling cultivation is located at a lower altitude (less than 100m), seedling cultivation is difficult in autumn and winter when the temperature is relatively low in a higher altitude area (more than 1000m), and no report of cutting seedling cultivation of rhododendron rivularis at a higher altitude and a lower temperature is found at present.

Furthermore, the concentration of the indoleacetic acid solution in S3 is 3g/L, the concentration of the indoleacetic acid solution is not too high or too low, the too high concentration can inhibit growth of rhododendron parvifolium and even cause fever and death, and the too low concentration cannot play a role in promoting root growth.
Further, the soaking time of the cutting slips in the S4 is 2-4 hours, so that the best absorption effect on the indoleacetic acid can be achieved.
Further, the distance of 3-5cm is kept between the cutting slips in S4, the cutting slips are kept at a reasonable distance, insufficient nutrition supply is easily caused by too narrow distance, and nursery space is wasted by too large distance.
Further, the thickness of the cutting substrate in the nursery garden in S4 is more than or equal to 20cm, so that sufficient nutrition supply of the rhododendron rivularis is guaranteed.
Further, in S5, when the sun shines directly at midday, the sunshade material for sunshade completely covers the area where the cutting slips are planted, the rhododendron lineate is happy with light and afraid of strong light, and needs to be properly shaded and maintain a certain amount of sunlight, so that the rhododendron lineate can be protected from the direct sunlight at midday by properly shading, and the rhododendron lineate is sunned with the oblique sunlight in the early morning or evening.
Further, the length of the cutting slips is 10cm, and the proper length is favorable for survival of the rhododendron rivularis in the cuttage mode.
Furthermore, the rhododendron lineare is planted in a subtropical mountain at an altitude of 1200m, which is a specific implementation mode, and the southern altitude of 750-1200m in China is an area where the rhododendron lineare is suitable for growth.
