技术领域
本发明涉及一种包装材料,尤其涉及一种适于形成用于存储液体食品的单个包装的包装材料。
背景技术
市场上存在用于存储液态食品的包装,并且填充机允许以非常高的速度生产这种食品包装。根据一个公认的原理,通过将卷材的纵向端部彼此密封将运行的包装材料卷材而形成管状,从而制造出连续的包装序列。当管中填充了要由包装存储的液体内容物时,在填充了液体食品的液位以下进行横向(transversal)密封。在单个密封操作中,实际上同时创建了两个横向密封部:前导包装的上端密封部和紧随的随后包装的下端密封部。当完成密封操作时,启用刀以在上端密封部和下端密封部之间的区域内横向切开管,从而将前导(现已密封)的包装与上游管分开。上端密封部可以形成最终包装的顶部密封部,而下端密封部可以形成包装的底部。替代地,上端密封部可以形成包装的底部,反之亦然。
下端密封部布置成距上端密封部特定的纵向(longitudinal)距离。由于经填充的管在密封操作过程中将被横向夹紧,因此液体产品可能会填充在上端密封部和下端密封部之间的距离处的空间,从而形成闭合的、横向的、垫状的结构,刀必须切割穿过该结构。在切割期间,这种垫状结构将抵抗刀的作用。在热封和随后的切割操作中,经填充的垫状的结构可能在横向折叠中产生较小的瑕疵,这可能需要更多的能量和热量才能在密封时施加到折叠的材料上。由于不断努力简化操作并降低能耗,因此需要改进的密封操作,尤其是需要在这种密封操作期间允许改进的切割的包装材料。
发明内容
本发明的目的是至少部分地克服现有技术的上述限制中的一个或多个。特别地,一个目的是提供一种包装材料,该包装材料使得能改进密封包装与包装材料上游管的分离。

该方法可以进一步包括以下步骤:在准备用于形成第一包装的第一区域处提供第一组折痕线,以及在准备用于形成相邻的第二包装的第二区域处提供第二组折痕线。
该方法可以进一步包括将所述芯层层压到芯层的相对侧的外侧层压部分上的步骤。
包装材料卷材通常作为卷起的包装材料卷被提供给包装和填充站。将该包装材料卷连续退绕并向前输送到包装机中,以形成连续管,该连续管将被填充液体内容物、被密封并切断为单个的包装单元,单个的包装单元将进一步折叠成型为最终形状,然后运送以进一步分发给零售商和消费者。

具体实施方式
参考图1,示出了填充机1的部件。填充机1按照以下原理操作:包装材料100的卷材通过将包装材料100的纵向边缘101、102在搭接接头3中彼此结合而形成管2。该管2由填充管4填充期望的液体食品产品,并且通过管2的重复的横向密封部5在管2中的填充的内容物的液面以下彼此相隔预定的距离处,分成单独的包装10。包装10通过横向密封部中的切口分开,并且通过沿材料中准备好的折痕线折叠成形,可以得到所需的几何构造。
为了进一步解释本文提出的实施方案的优点,在下文中给出了密封操作的更多细节。参考图2a-c,示意性地示出了密封操作,即,为了提供如上所述的横向密封部5而执行的过程。
该密封操作的一般原理是将包装材料100的管2的两侧彼此相对地挤压,并且局部加热包装材料100,使得管壁的包装材料100的接触的内部热塑性层彼此粘合。在填充机1中,这通常是通过成对的相对的密封钳口20a,20b的往复作用来完成的。密封钳口20a-b至少在水平面内可移动,并且它们具有闲置位置,在该位置,包装材料100的管2安置在它们之间,如图2a所示。
在第一侧,密封钳口20b是压钳口,其包括上压杆22和下压杆22,在某些情况下,该上压杆22设有用于横向夹紧和挤压管的脊。
在相对的另一侧,相对的密封钳口20a是砧钳口,其包括上部和下部弹性底座23,其用于接收并缓冲来自杆或脊的压力,从而杆或脊在第一侧上按压管的双折叠材料。
每个压钳口20b包括上压杆22和下压杆22,各自设有加热装置或加热元件。带有加热元件的压杆22可以连接。用于密封操作的加热可以通过例如用于感应加热、超声波加热、对流加热或脉冲加热的装置来提供。对于包括铝箔作为阻隔材料的层压材料,感应加热是优选的加热技术,而在一个实施方案中,可以通过超声波热产生或其他加热装置来密封不含箔的层压材料。
在第一操作中,如图2b所示,使成对的密封钳口20a-b彼此相对移动,以使包装材料100的管2被压在各个密封钳口20a-b的压杆22和底座23之间。在致动时,加热回路将确保在管2处形成横向密封部5。这种横向密封部5形成为一个上端密封部5a和一个下端密封部5b。上端密封部5a通过切割区域5c与下端密封部5b间隔开。
转到图2c,当提供了横向密封部5时,切割刀24被致动以在切割区域5c处进行穿过折叠管的材料的水平切割。在切割时,下游包装10与上游管2分离,上游管2现在具有密封的下端。
从图2b中可以看出,当管2被夹紧在密封钳口20a-b之间时,切割区域5c可以形成横向的、带状的、垫状的形状。这是由于这样的事实,即在管2中填充的内容物的液面在竖直方向上高于密封钳口20a-b的位置。因此,当密封钳口20a-b相遇时,在上端密封部和下端密封部的位置之间可能会有液体产品滞留。如果由此形成垫状形状,则切割操作可能受到不利影响。
为了减少液体产品在上端密封部5a和下端密封部5b之间的切割区域5c中的这种滞留的可能影响,从而改善切割和热密封操作,包装材料100设置有至少一个弱化部分,如下所述。
在图3中,示意性地示出了包装材料100的实施方案。包装材料100以连续卷材的形式被提供,该卷材被卷绕以便有效地与图1的填充机1配合。
包装材料100的宽度对应于形成一个单个包装10所需要的宽度。包装材料卷材100包括多个串联设置的区域;在用于形成第一或前导包装10的第一区域110之后是旨在形成第二包装或随后包装10的第二区域120。如容易理解的那样,在第二区域120之后是第三区域、第四区域等(未显示)。
每个区域110、120设置有折痕线130a-b。第一区域110的折痕线130a被设计成形成第一包装10,而第二区域120的折痕线130b被设计成形成相邻的第二包装10。
尽管仅针对第一区域110示出,但是一个区域110、120的折痕线130a包括被设计成形成包装10的下底端的第一组折痕线132a、被设计成形成包装10的主体的第二组折痕线134a、以及被设计成形成包装10的封闭的上端的第三组折痕线136a。
根据另一个实施方案,包装材料可以不具有折痕线,或者仅部分地设置有折痕线,例如,仅有一组折痕线。
如图3进一步所示的,第一区域110通过横向密封区域140与第二区域120分隔开。这意味着横向密封区域140位于前导的第一区域110的第三组折痕线136a和随后的第二区域120的第一组折痕线132a之间。
在此描述的所有实施方案的共同特征在于,横向密封区域140设置有至少一个弱化部分。下面参照图5和图6a-d进一步解释如何在包装材料100内构造这种弱化部分的细节。然而,首先参考图4,将描述横向密封区域140内的弱化部分的构造。
如在图4所能看到的,横向密封区域140具有足以容纳上端密封部5a(其将来位置用粗线表示)和下端密封部5b(其将来位置也用粗线表示)的纵向延伸部。如上所述,管2的稍后形成的切割区域5c在上端密封部5a和下端密封部5b之间延伸。
为此,横向密封区域140包括上密封区域142、下密封区域144以及布置在上密封区域142和下密封区域144之间的切割区域146。
在横向密封区域140处设置至少一个弱化部分150。可以考虑弱化部分150的不同位置,以便强调不同的技术效果。例如,弱化部分150a可以布置在横向密封区域140内,在与于密封期间管2折叠的位置相对应的侧向位置处,即,在与管2的侧向边缘相对应的位置处。已证明弱化部分150a的这种位置改善了管2的折叠,因此也改善了最终包装的成形、完整性和外观。弱化部分150a被示为跨过上密封区域142、下密封区域144和切割区域146延伸。
沿着横向切割区域146的中心线,即沿着横向线性切口148,从包装材料管中切下包装。
在另一实施方案中,弱化部分150b位于与管2的相对的侧向边缘相对应的位置处。该弱化部分150b设置为两个分开的弱化部分,其在横向方向上对齐但在纵向方向上间隔开。这意味着每个弱化部分150b分别设置在上密封区域142和下密封区域144,但是在切割区域146中没有实质性的延伸。
如何定位弱化部分150的另一示例由弱化部分150c示出;弱化部分150c位于对应于最终包装10的层压包装材料的复杂折叠区的位置。可以看出,整个弱化部分150c在切割区域146内延伸,但是没有延伸到上密封区域142或下密封区域144。弱化部分150c有助于减轻复杂折叠区域中材料层中的应力。替代地可以或者也可以在横向密封区域140的随机侧向位置处施加类似的弱化部分150d。
弱化部150d示出了又一示例。它沿管2位于任意位置。
可以理解,弱化部分可以在横向方向和纵向方向上沿着横向密封区域140定位在各个位置。由于弱化部分150降低了包装材料100的稳固性,因此当切割刀24在垫状结构处穿透包装材料100时,在切割操作期间将需要较小的力。而且,由于改善了折叠性,因此热密封操作将需要较少的热能。
通过局部降低包装材料100的稳固性来提供弱化部分150。图5中以横截面示出了包装材料100的示例。
包装材料100是层压包装材料。原则上,它是由材料层的三个层压部分组成的层压材料。内侧层压部分160是由纸、纸板或其他基于纤维素的材料(诸如所谓的双面或三层型纸板或液体包装纸板)的主体材料构成的芯中心层161。芯层是层压包装材料的抗弯刚度和体积性质以及由其制成的包装的尺寸稳定性的主要贡献者。外侧层压部分170包括最外面的液密和透明的塑料层171,该塑料层优选地是可热封的热塑性塑料层,例如聚烯烃材料层,例如聚乙烯材料层。层压操作可以替代地是熔融挤出层压操作,在芯层161和透明的预先制造的膜171之间施加中间热塑性粘结材料层172。
芯层161的另一侧,即内侧的内侧层压部分180包括最里面的可热封的热塑性层181,其也是包装材料100的将与在最终包装容器中的填充的食品直接接触的层。最里面的可热封的聚合物层181可以例如通过在芯层161的内侧的熔融共挤出而作为单层或多层聚合物结构181-184来施加。
根据另一实施方案,还可以借助于中间热塑性材料(例如聚烯烃,例如聚乙烯,例如LDPE)粘结层的熔融挤出层压将用于提供气体阻隔性能的预先制造的膜或箔(例如铝箔)层压到芯层161的内部。这样的阻隔膜或箔因此位于最里面的可热封的聚合物层181和芯层161之间。
包装材料100的制造可以以本领域公知的各种方式进行。还应当注意,包装材料100可以使用不同的构造,只要包装材料100包含芯层161即可。
在本说明书的上下文中,通过局部降低芯层161的稳固性来提供弱化部分150。这种稳固性的降低是通过减小芯层161的厚度来实现的。应注意,折痕线,即折痕芯层161的局部变形不被视为代表弱化部分150。
在图6a中,示意性地示出了弱化部分150的第一示例。在该示例中,芯层161的一部分已经被完全去除,例如,通过切割、冲压、激光去除等来完全去除。弱化部分150的侧向尺寸足够大,使得能将外侧层压部分170层压并粘附至内侧层压部分180上。
在图6b中,示意性地示出了弱化部分150的另一示例。同样在该示例中,芯层161的一部分已经被完全去除,例如,通过切割、冲压、激光去除等来完全去除。然而,弱化部分150的侧向尺寸没有大到足以能将外侧层压部分170层压并粘附至内侧层压部分180。相反,外侧层压部分170在弱化部分150的位置处与内侧层压部分170分开。
在图6c中,示意性地示出了弱化部分150的又一示例。在该示例中,芯层161的一部分已经被完全切割,但是没有去除任何材料。因此,通过切开芯层161来形成弱化部150。
在图6d中,示意性地示出了弱化部分150的另一示例。在该示例中,仅芯层161的一部分已经被完全去除,例如,通过切削、研磨、激光去除等被完全去除。芯层161的厚度局部减小。
转到图7,示意性地示出了用于提供包装材料100的方法200的示例。方法200包括:第一步骤202,其提供具有至少一个弱化部分150的芯层161;以及第二步骤204,其在旨在形成第一包装10的第一区域110处提供第一组折痕线130a以及在旨在形成相邻的第二包装10的第二区域120处提供第二组折痕线130b。方法200还包括第三步骤206,其将内侧层压部分180层压到芯层161的一侧,并且外侧层压部分170层压到芯层161的相反侧。
第二步骤可以在第一步之前或之后直接在芯层上进行。
替代地,第二步骤可以在第三步骤之后,即在层压操作之后进行。将外侧层压部分层压到芯层上可以在向芯层提供折痕线的第二步骤之前或之后进行,并且它可以是与将内侧层压部分层压到芯层上分开的层压步骤。然而,第一和第二步骤的操作的位置对准在第一和第二步骤不是以接近和连续的顺序进行的方法中预计更加困难。
在填充机的稍后阶段执行的单独步骤中,第一区域110借助于横向密封区域140与第二区域120分开,使得至少一个弱化部分150位于横向密封区域140。
步骤202可以通过切割或冲穿芯层161来执行,或者例如通过使用激光去除芯层161的至少一部分来执行。
有利地,执行步骤202,使得至少一个弱化部分150完全布置在切割区域146内,该切割区域146布置在横向密封区域140的上密封区域142和下密封区域144之间。
到目前为止,已经描述了通过使芯层161的至少一部分的局部去除、厚度减小或切开而提供弱化部分150。然而,应当认识到,弱化部分150可以包括几个紧密布置的弱化部件;例如,弱化部分150可以由彼此靠近布置的3-7个狭缝(例如短的穿孔线)形成。

Claims (17)

1.一种包装材料(100)的卷材,其包括芯层(161)和内侧层压部分(180),所述内侧层压部分(180)将朝向由所述包装材料形成的包装的内侧并且包括可热封的热塑性聚合物层,所述包装材料(100)的卷材包括用于形成第一包装(10)的第一区域(110)、用于形成相邻的第二包装(10)的第二区域(120)以及位于所述第一区域(110)和所述第二区域(120)之间的沿跨越所述卷材的所述宽度的横向方向延伸的横向密封区域(140),其中所述横向密封区域(140)包括用于容纳所述第一包装的上端密封部(5a)的上横向密封区域(142)、用于容纳所述第二包装的下端密封部(5b)的下横向密封区域(144)以及布置在所述上横向密封区域(142)和所述下横向密封区域(144)之间的横向切割区域(146),所述横向切割区域(146)用于在切除由所述包装材料卷材形成的单个包装时沿着所述横向切割区域的所述整个延伸部的中心容纳线性横向切口(148),并且其中所述芯层(161)在所述横向密封区域(140)设置至少一个弱化部分(150)。

7.根据权利要求6所述的包装材料,其中,所述至少一个弱化部分(150)完全布置在所述横向切割区域(146)内。
8.根据权利要求6或7所述的包装材料,其中,所述至少一个弱化部分(150)沿基本垂直于所述横向切割区域(146)的方向延伸,其中,所述至少一个弱化部分(150)的长度超过所述切割区域(146)的高度的50%。
9.根据前述权利要求中任一项所述的包装材料,其中,所述芯层(161)在所述横向密封区域(140)处设置有多个弱化部分(150)。
10.根据前述权利要求中的任一项所述的包装材料,其中,所述芯层(161)包含基于纤维素的材料,例如纸或纸板。
11.根据前述权利要求中任一项所述的包装材料,其还包括外侧层压部分(170)。
12.一种包装(10),其由根据前述权利要求中任一项所述的包装材料(100)形成。
13.根据权利要求12所述的包装,其包括横向下端密封部(5b)和横向上端密封部(5a),所述端密封部(5a,5b)中的至少一个是通过横向折叠所述包装材料管以及随后密封而形成的,其中所述至少一个弱化部分(150a,150b)位于所述管的所述折叠的区域。
