本发明的方案涉及车轮用轴承装置。
背景技术
在机动车等车辆中,为了将车轮支承为旋转自如而使用车轮用轴承装置(轮毂单元)。车轮用轴承装置具备:在车辆外侧具有安装车轮的突缘部的轮毂轴;在该轮毂轴的径向外侧设置的外圈;设置在轮毂轴与外圈之间的多个滚珠等滚动体;保持多个滚动体的保持架。在这样的车轮用轴承装置中,为了防止泥水等杂质从轴承外部侵入设有轮毂轴与外圈之间的滚动体的轴承内部而设置封闭装置(例如,参照专利文献1)。
在专利文献1记载的车轮用轴承装置中,使向外圈的车辆外侧端部的内周压入的芯骨上硫化粘接的橡胶制的密封构件的唇部与突缘部的车辆内侧的侧面进行滑动接触,由此防止杂质向轴承内部的侵入。

发明内容
发明要解决的课题
作为提高耐泥水性的结构的一例,如图5所示,可考虑在比突缘部30的侧面30a与密封构件31的唇部32接触的部位靠径向外侧的位置设置迷宫部33的结构。在图5所示的例子中,使芯骨34上硫化粘接的密封构件31向径向外侧延长设置的前端部35向车辆外侧(轴向一侧)突出而作为突出部36,在该突出部36的前端面36a与突缘部30的侧面30a之间形成迷宫部33。通过缩窄密封构件31与突缘部30的侧面30a之间的间隙而减少到达唇部32的泥水量。
然而,在形成图5所示那样的迷宫部33的情况下,存在如下的问题。
首先,构成包含密封构件31的封闭装置的各部件存在制造、组装的公差,但是为了形成迷宫部33,需要设计成即使在公差最差时,即所述突出部36向车辆外侧突出的长度最长的情况下也能避免该突出部36的前端面36a与突缘部30的侧面30a接触。因此,需要增大间隙(突出部36的前端面36a与突缘部30的侧面30a之间的间隙)的标称值,但是这样的话,根据公差而下一次间隙变大,无法作为迷宫发挥功能,无法减少泥水的侵入量。
另外,在所述突出部36的前端面36a与突缘部30的侧面30a接触时可能会产生噪音。此外,在所述突出部36的前端面36a与突缘部30的侧面30a进行了滑动接触的情况下,存由橡胶等制作的该突出部36断裂,迷宫部33破损的可能性。
本发明的方案是鉴于这样的情况而作出的发明,目的在于提供一种能够形成稳定的迷宫部而提高耐泥水性的车轮用轴承装置。
用于解决课题的方案
本发明的一方案提供下述(1)的车轮用轴承装置。
(1)一种车轮用轴承装置,具备:轮毂轴,在轴向一侧具有安装车轮的突缘部;外圈,设置在所述轮毂轴的径向外侧;多个滚动体,设置在所述轮毂轴与所述外圈之间;保持架,保持所述多个滚动体;及密封构件,安装在所述外圈的轴向的一个端部,
所述突缘部的轴向另一侧的侧面具有第一侧面和第二侧面,所述第一侧面具有第一粗糙度,所述第二侧面具有比第一粗糙度大的第二粗糙度,
所述密封构件具备与所述第二侧面相对地设置的唇部,该唇部的前端具有通过与所述第二侧面进行滑动接触而磨损的磨损面。
在本发明的一方案的车轮用轴承装置中,密封构件的唇部的前端设为通过与突缘部的第二侧面进行滑动接触而磨损的磨损面。该磨损在车轮用轴承装置安装于车辆而由使用者使用之前的阶段(工厂内的检査阶段等)或使用者的使用初期的阶段通过唇部的前端与第二侧面进行滑动接触而产生。唇部前端的磨损面与突缘部的第二侧面以接触压为0或者大致等于0的非常小的接触压接触。由此,能够在唇部前端的磨损面与突缘部的第二侧面之间形成非常小的间隙(迷宫),能够提高耐泥水性。磨损进展了一定程度的磨损面是与突缘部的第二侧面接触或不接触的状态,不存在磨损进一步进展的情况。由此,能够在唇部的前端与凸缘的侧面(第二侧面)之间形成稳定的迷宫部。
(2)在上述(1)的车轮用轴承装置中,所述磨损面可以具有沿着周向的多个凸条部。
发明效果
根据本发明的方案,能够提供一种能够提高耐泥水性的车轮用轴承装置。

图1是本发明的一实施方式的车轮用轴承装置1的剖视说明图,图2是图1所示的车轮用轴承装置1的密封构件周边的放大剖视说明图。也称为轮毂单元的车轮用轴承装置1安装于例如机动车的车身侧的悬架装置(转向节),将机动车的车轮支承为旋转自如。车轮用轴承装置1具备轮毂轴2、外圈3、作为滚动体的滚珠4、保持架5及封闭装置6、7。
轮毂轴2具有内轴和内圈构件10。内轴一体地具有轴主体部8和车轮安装用的突缘部9。内轴例如由机械构造用碳钢制造。内圈构件10例如由高碳铬轴承钢制造。轴主体部8是在轴向上长的轴状的构件。突缘部9从轴主体部8的车辆外侧的端部向径向外侧延伸设置,具有圆环形状。在突缘部9沿周向形成有多个孔11,在该孔11安装有车轮安装用的螺栓12。在突缘部9安装有未图示的车轮及制动盘。内圈构件10是环状的构件,嵌合地安装于轴主体部8的车辆内侧的端部。在轴主体部8的车辆外侧的外周面形成有轴滚道面2a,在内圈构件10的外周面形成有内圈滚道面2b。
外圈3是圆筒状的构件,例如由机械构造用碳钢制造。外圈3具有圆筒形状的外圈主体13和从该外圈主体13向径向外侧延伸设置的固定用的突缘部14。该突缘部14固定于作为车身侧构件的转向节(未图示),由此将包含外圈3的车轮用轴承装置1固定于该转向节。
在车轮用轴承装置1安装于车身侧的状态下,轮毂轴2具有的突缘部9侧成为车辆的外侧。换言之,设置突缘部9的轴向一侧,即,图1的左侧(突缘部9侧)成为车辆外侧,其相反侧即轴向另一侧,即,图1的右侧成为车辆内侧。而且,在车轮用轴承装置1中,与车轮用轴承装置1的中心轴平行的方向,即,图1的左右方向成为车轮用轴承装置1的轴向,与所述轴向正交的方向成为径向。
在外圈3的内周面形成有车辆外侧的外圈滚道面3a和车辆内侧的外圈滚道面3b。
车辆外侧的外圈滚道面3a与轴滚道面2a在径向上相对,车辆内侧的外圈滚道面3b与内圈滚道面2b在径向上相对,在车辆外侧及车辆内侧各自的滚道面之间配置有滚珠4。滚珠4沿轴向设置两列,各列的滚珠4由环状的保持架5保持。通过在轮毂轴2与外圈3之间设置多个滚珠4,外圈3成为在轮毂轴2的轴主体部8的径向外侧与该轮毂轴2呈同心状地设置的结构。
车辆外侧的保持架5将车辆外侧的列包含的多个滚珠4沿周向空出间隔地保持。车辆内侧的保持架5将车辆内侧的列包含的多个滚珠4沿周向空出间隔地保持。保持架5例如可以由合成树脂制作。
车辆内侧的封闭装置6由环状的密封构件15和环状的抛油环16构成。密封构件15嵌合地安装于外圈3的外圈主体13的车辆内侧端部的内周面。抛油环16以过盈配合的状态嵌合地安装于内圈构件10的车辆内侧端部的外周面。密封构件15的唇部15a与抛油环16进行滑动接触(滑接),由此能够抑制泥水等杂质从车辆内侧的外部向轴承内部的侵入。轴承内部是轮毂轴2与外圈3之间的环状的空间,是设置两列滚珠4的区域。
车辆外侧的封闭装置7由环状的密封构件构成,该密封构件具有金属制的芯骨18和例如NBR等橡胶制的密封主体19。封闭装置(密封构件)7嵌合地安装于外圈3的外圈主体13的车辆外侧端部的内周面。
密封主体19通过硫化粘接而固定于芯骨18。密封主体19从径向的内侧朝向外侧依次具有第一唇部20、第二唇部21及第三唇部22。第一唇部20与轮毂轴2的轴主体部8的外周面8a进行滑动接触,主要具有抑制轴承内部的润滑脂向外部的流出的功能。第二唇部21与突缘部9的车辆内侧的第一侧面23a进行滑动接触,具有抑制泥水等杂质从其与该第一侧面23a之间向轴承内部的侵入的功能。
第三唇部22,更详细而言第三唇部22的前端与突缘部9的车辆内侧的侧面、且在轴向上比与第二唇部21滑动接触的第一侧面23a靠车辆外侧且径向外侧的第二侧面23b相对地设置。
在第一唇部20和第二唇部21涂布有润滑脂,但是在第三唇部22未涂布润滑脂。
本实施方式的突缘部9的车辆内侧的侧面具有第一侧面23a和第二侧面23b,所述第一侧面23a具有第一粗糙度,所述第二侧面23b具有比第一粗糙度大的第二粗糙度。第一侧面23a例如是表面被研磨的研磨面,第二侧面是被实施了车削加工的状态的车削面。该第二侧面并不限定为车削面,只要是具有比第一侧面的粗糙度大的粗糙度的面即可,也可以为研磨面、锻造面。
在本实施方式中,第二唇部21滑动接触的第一侧面23a是表面被研磨的研磨面,第三唇部22的前端相对的第二侧面23b是表面未被研磨而实施了车削加工的状态的车削面。突缘部9的第二侧面(车削面)23b的粗糙度并不特别限定,例如为Ra2~Ra30。
封闭装置7以第一唇部20、第二唇部21及第三唇部22分别具有例如0mm以上且1.5mm以下、0.3mm以上且2.2mm以下及0mm以上且1.2mm以下左右的过盈量的方式制作并安装于外圈3。第二唇部21和第三唇部22的过盈量是从与轮毂轴2的突缘部9的侧面不接触的状态的唇部的轴向最大长度减去组装车轮用轴承装置1而使唇部与所述突缘部9的侧面接触的状态的唇部的轴向最大长度所得到的数值。另一方面,第一唇部20的过盈量是从与轮毂轴2的轴主体部8的外周面8a不接触的状态的唇部的径向最大长度减去组装车轮用轴承装置1而使唇部与所述轴主体部8的外周面8a接触的状态的唇部的径向最大长度所得到的数值。
因此,在刚组装车轮用轴承装置1之后的状态下,第一唇部20、第二唇部21及第三唇部22分别以规定的接触压被压紧于轴主体部8的外周面8a、突缘部9的第一侧面23a及第二侧面23b。
需要说明的是,即使在第三唇部22相对于第二侧面23b的过盈量为0(零)的情况下,由于车重或转弯时的载荷等的车辆中的使用条件或相互的面粗糙度的不同,也会在第三唇部22与第二侧面23b之间产生接触而第三唇部22的前端磨损。
当车轮用轴承装置1安装于车辆而该车辆行驶且轮毂轴2相对于外圈3进行相对旋转时,第一唇部20、第二唇部21及第三唇部22分别与轴主体部8的外周面8a、突缘部9的第一侧面23a及第二侧面23b进行滑动接触。此时,第一唇部20及第二唇部21由于轴主体部8的外周面8a及突缘部9的第一侧面23a是研磨加工后的研磨面且在第一唇部20及第二唇部21存在润滑脂,因此几乎不会磨损而能够持续进行滑动接触。
另一方面,第三唇部22接触的突缘部9的第二侧面23b是未被实施研磨加工的、仍为车削的状态的车削面,而且,在第二侧面23b未涂布润滑脂。车削面是对锻造面进行了车削的面,如图3所示,通过车削用的工具而形成的凸条24沿周向呈螺旋状地残留。凸条24的方向并不限定为上述方向,但是优选为相对于周向具有角度的方向。而且,车削面并不限定为对锻造面进行了车削的面,例如,可以将对一次车削后的面实施了二次车削的面作为“车削面”。需要说明的是,在图3中,为了便于理解而夸张地描绘凸条24。
在刚组装车轮用轴承装置1之后的状态下,第三唇部22以规定的接触压(第一接触压)被压紧于突缘部9的第二侧面23b。当轮毂轴2相对于外圈3开始相对旋转时,第三唇部22的前端会比较快地磨损(早期磨损),该第三唇部22的前端面22a成为与相对的第二侧面23b不接触的状态或几乎不接触的状态。即,第三唇部22的突缘部9对于第二侧面23b的接触压成为比第一接触压小的第二接触压。达到这样的状态为止的时间根据轮毂轴2与外圈3的相对旋转的速度、第三唇部22的材质及过盈量等而不同,但是通常为例如旋转开始起24小时左右。当经过该时间时,第三唇部22的前端的初始磨损结束。
早期磨损后的第三唇部22的前端面22a成为通过与作为车削面的第二侧面23b的滑动接触而磨损的磨损面。在本说明书中,“磨损面”是指具有唇部22与轮毂轴2接触的滑动痕(磨擦痕)的面。该磨损面与作为车削面的第二侧面23b不同,是大致平坦的面,但是细微地观察时,如图4所示,具有沿着周向的多个凸条部25。另一方面,突缘部9的第二侧面23b中的与第三唇部22进行滑动接触的部分虽然未图示,但是凸条24的前端通过与该第三唇部22的滑动接触而稍微磨损。而且,突缘部9的第二侧面23b中的与第三唇部22进行滑动接触的部分由于与橡胶制的唇部进行滑动接触,因此附着该橡胶的一部分而成为与其他的部分不同的颜色。
已经进行了早期磨损的第三唇部22的前端面22a是与相对的第二侧面23b不接触或几乎不接触的状态,因此与该第二侧面23b不进行滑动接触。因此,在早期磨损后,磨损不会再进展。因此,能稳定地形成非常小的间隙(第二侧面23b与前端面22a之间的间隙)的迷宫。其结果是,能够抑制或减少泥水等来自外部的杂质到达第二唇部21的情况。
从促进第三唇部22的前端面22a的磨损这样的观点出发,优选车削面的凸条的间距窄,而且,优选凸条较粗(凸条的高度高)。
第三唇部22的前端面22a在第二侧面23b上进行滑动接触时的唇部厚度或接触宽度t(参照图3)增大的话,在初始磨损时可能会产生噪音,因此优选以成为例如2mm左右以下的方式设定第三唇部22的尺寸。
在本实施方式的车轮用轴承装置中,车辆外侧的密封构件的位于径向最外侧的唇部的前端面成为通过与突缘部的第二侧面(车削面)滑动接触而磨损的磨损面。唇部前端的磨损面与突缘部的第二侧面是以接触压为0或大致等于0的非常小的接触压相互接触的状态。由此,能够在唇部前端的磨损面与突缘部的第二侧面之间形成非常小的、无限接近于0的间隙,能够提高耐泥水性。
〔其他的变形例〕
本发明并不限定为前述的实施方式,在权利要求书内能够进行各种变更。
例如,在前述的实施方式中,车辆外侧的封闭装置中的与相对的面进行滑动接触的唇部的个数为2(第一唇部及第二唇部),但是该个数可以为1,也可以为3以上。而且,包含唇部的密封主体的形状、芯骨的形状也可以适当变更。
另外,在前述的实施方式中,使用滚珠作为滚动体,但是在具有滚珠以外的例如锥形滚子作为滚动体的车轮用轴承装置中也可以适用本发明。

Claims (2)
1.一种车轮用轴承装置,具备:
轮毂轴,在轴向一侧具有安装车轮的突缘部;
外圈,设置在所述轮毂轴的径向外侧;
多个滚动体,设置在所述轮毂轴与所述外圈之间;
保持架,保持所述多个滚动体;及
密封构件,安装在所述外圈的轴向的一个端部,
所述突缘部的轴向另一侧的侧面具有第一侧面和第二侧面,所述第一侧面具有第一粗糙度,所述第二侧面具有比第一粗糙度大的第二粗糙度,
所述密封构件具备与所述第二侧面相对地设置的唇部,该唇部的前端具有通过与所述第二侧面进行滑动接触而磨损的磨损面。
2.根据权利要求1所述的车轮用轴承装置,其中,
所述磨损面具有沿着周向的多个凸条部。
