背景技术
平版印刷机使用所谓的印刷母版,例如安装在印刷机的滚筒上的印刷版。母版在其表面上带有平版图像,并且通过将油墨施加到所述图像,且然后将油墨从母版转印到接收材料(通常为纸)上来获得印刷品。在常规的所谓的“湿”平版印刷中,将油墨以及水性润版液(也称为润湿液)供应到平版图像,该平版图像由亲油的(或疏水的,即,接受油墨、排斥水的)区域以及亲水的(或疏油的,即,接受水、排斥油墨的)区域组成。在所谓的无水平版印刷(driographic printing)中,平版图像由接受油墨的区域和防油墨粘黏的(排斥油墨的)区域组成,并且在无水平版印刷过程中,仅将油墨供应到母版。
所谓的“模拟”印刷版通常通过首先应用所谓的计算机直接制片(CtF)方法而获得,其中以数字方式完成各种印前步骤,例如字体选择、扫描、分色、加网、套色、排版和拼版,并且使用照排机将每种颜色选择转印到印刷胶片。在冲洗之后,胶片可用作掩模用于称为印版前体的成像材料的曝光,并且在冲洗印版之后获得可用作母版的印刷版。自大概1995年以来,所谓的“计算机直接制版”(CtP)方法已经获得了许多的关注。这种方法(也称为“直接制版”)绕过了胶片的产生,因为数字文件借助印版记录机直接转印到印刷版前体。用于CtP的印刷版前体通常称为数字印版。
平版印刷版的支撑体通常是铝支撑体,其具有亲水表面或在其上提供有亲水层。这种亲水表面和/或亲水层应改进平版印刷版的非印刷区域的水接受性和这些区域中对印刷油墨的排斥。在显影期间,涂层的可溶性部分应易于去除,由此支撑体的表面保持无残留物,以致在印刷期间获得干净的背景区域。
数字印版大致可分为三种类别:(i)银印版,根据银盐扩散转印机理工作;(ii)含有在暴露于光时硬化的可光聚合组合物的光聚合物印版;和(iii)热印版,其成像机理由热或光到热的转化来触发。
光聚合物印刷版依赖于这样的工作机理:由此涂层(其通常包括可自由基聚合的化合物)在曝光时硬化,任选随后进行加热步骤,以增强或加速该过程。“硬化”表示涂层在显影溶液中变得不可溶或不可分散,并且可通过在暴露于光时光敏涂层的聚合和/或交联来实现。常规的光聚合物印版用来自灯的紫外光通过具有预定成像图案的单独的光掩模膜曝光,该光掩模膜放置在光源和印版之间。现今,激光源通常用来将对相应的激光波长敏感的印刷版前体成像(imagewise)曝光,这允许消除光掩模膜。然而,此类可激光成像的印版经常具有有限的室内光稳定性的缺点和/或由于当前激光成像器的有限功率而应具有高感光速度(感光度)。光聚合物印版前体可对蓝光、绿光或红光(即,波长介于450~750 nm范围内)敏感、对紫光(即,波长介于350~450 nm范围内)敏感、或对红外光(即,波长介于750~1500 nm范围内)敏感。
通常用于报纸市场的对紫色激光敏感的光聚合物印刷版通常具有高感光度,因为要求快的成像速度或感光速度。由于此类高感光印版通常具有有限的白色室内光稳定性,因此对紫色激光敏感的印版通常要求黄光来操作。实际上,具有较快感光速度的印版通常在白色室内光下具有较短的操作窗口,而在白色室内光下具有较长操作窗口的印版通常具有较慢的感光速度。
光聚合物印版通常含有可聚合单体、粘合剂、光引发剂和敏化染料。通常,可成像层上方要求有充当氧屏障层的顶层或保护性外涂层,以保持印版的感光度。顶层通常包括水溶性聚合物或水溶胀性聚合物,如,例如聚乙烯醇。除了充当氧气的屏障之外,顶层应最好在冲洗期间可容易去除,并且对于光化辐射(例如300~450 nm或450~750 nm或750~1500nm)足够透明。
光聚合物印版的经典工作流程牵涉首先光聚合物印刷版前体在印版记录机中的曝光步骤,然后是任选的预热步骤、保护性外涂层的洗涤步骤、碱性显影步骤以及漂洗和上胶步骤。在过去数年中,在简化的工作流程方向上存在明显的进展,其中在一个单一步骤中进行冲洗和上胶步骤。或者,在机冲洗已经变得非常流行,其中将印版安装在印刷机上,并且通过与在印刷机运行期间供应至滚筒的润版液和油墨的相互作用来使涂层显影。在印刷机的第一运行期间,从支撑体上去除非图像区域,并由此限定印版的非印刷区域。因此,可在机显影的印版被设计成在通常处于白色室内光下的印刷室中在平版印刷机上显影。然而,如以上所讨论的,现有技术中公开的对紫色激光敏感的光聚合物印版通常具有有限的白色室内光稳定性,并且必须在“安全的”光中操作。“安全的”光表示具有在至少持续操作和冲洗印版所需的时间内不引起涂层硬化的特定波长范围的光。对于大多数光敏涂层而言,安全的光是黄光或红光。
在本领域中,对于在白色室内光条件下具有快的感光速度和宽的操作窗口二者的对紫色激光敏感的光聚合物印刷版存在着极大的兴趣。
US 8,148,048公开了用于机械剥离包括衬底、光敏层和外涂层的快速平版印刷版的外涂层的方法,由此改进印版的日光稳定性。
US 6,420,089公开了一种印刷版前体,其可借助润版液和油墨在日光或类似条件下在机显影,并且其包含包括磺化的偶氮染料的外涂层,所述磺化的偶氮染料不降低前体的光敏性,也不降低其它性质,例如可显影性、油墨接受性和储存稳定性。
US 2009/0274979中公开了用于去除光敏印刷版的外涂层的装置,其包括使印版优选在刷或摩擦的条件下与水接触的结构。该去除外涂层的装置优选与激光成像器连接,以致印版可以在激光成像器上成像,并然后直接转移到去除外涂层的装置,以去除外涂层。
US 2015/0177618公开了阻光材料的应用,其防止200~780 nm波长范围内的一部分室内光到达光敏层,由此获得改进的室内光稳定性。
US 2009/170040中公开了用钝化溶液处理经激光曝光的光敏平版印刷版,然后进行总体照射的方法。所述钝化溶液能够使非硬化区域中的光敏层的光硬化能力钝化,以致激光曝光之后的总体照射不引起非硬化区域中的光敏层的硬化。
US 2008/280232公开了在机显影期间可以在白色室内光下自由操作的经激光曝光的平版印版。通过向印版整体施加不引起光敏层硬化的钝化剂、热量或总体辐射来使印版钝化。
设计在普通的印刷室光照条件(即,白色室内光)下具有快的感光速度和宽的操作窗口(就时间而言)二者的对激光敏感的、优选可在机冲洗的光聚合物印刷版仍是一种挑战。
发明概述
本发明的一个目的是提供阴图制版的、优选可在机冲洗的平版印刷版前体,其包括可光聚合层,所述可光聚合层的特征在于高感光速度,并且可在白色室内光下在曝光之后且在显影之前/期间,对其自由处理。

本发明的平版印刷前体包括在支撑体上的可光聚合涂层和在其上提供的顶层。顶层充当氧屏障层,并包含水溶性或水溶胀性聚合物或粘合剂。
顶层应是有效的氧屏障层,其充分粘附到涂层的可光聚合层或任选的其它层上。所述顶层在下文中也称为“保护层”、“外涂层(overcoat layer或overcoat)”。除了充当氧气的屏障之外,外涂层优选在冲洗期间可容易地去除,并且对光化辐射(例如300~450 nm或700~900 nm或750~1200 nm)足够透明。
外涂层可以是任何成膜材料,其对成像光基本上是透明的,并且至少包含能够在加热时产生挥发性分解产物(气体)的化合物。化合物能够产生挥发性分解产物(气体)的温度优选介于80°C和300°C之间,更优选介于100°C和250°C之间,且最优选介于120°C和200°C之间。该热量的施加时段(即,停留时间)优选介于2秒和30分钟之间,更优选介于10秒和15分钟之间,且最优选介于15秒和10分钟之间。该加热步骤(也称作“预热步骤”)可以在包含加热元件的预热单元中实施,所述加热元件包括加热源,如,例如辐射源(IR灯)、加热的空气或加热的辊。
在该热处理步骤中,所形成的气体(至少部分地)降低顶层的氧屏障性能,结果,印刷版前体的白色室内光稳定性得到显著增强。实际上,氧气至少部分地使涂层钝化,由此基本上防止了非图像区域在显影之前的(不想要的)聚合,这归因于这些区域暴露于白色室内光。非图像区域处的不想要的聚合可能导致灰化,即,不充分的清除行为,这导致在机调色,即,在非图像区域的油墨接受性。
术语“钝化”表示光敏层在白色室内光下具有降低的硬化速率或甚至变得不能硬化。因此,光敏层能够在加热或钝化步骤之前在室内光下硬化,并且在加热或钝化步骤之后在室内光下变得不能硬化或具有降低的硬化速率。
“硬化”表示涂层变得不溶于显影溶液或不可分散于显影溶液,并且可通过光敏涂层的聚合和/或交联来实现。
除了使未曝光区域钝化之外,该加热步骤还可增强或加速曝光的(硬化的)区域处的聚合和/或交联反应。
能够产生挥发性分解产物的化合物优选是在加热时产生至少一种气体的可热分解的化合物。所述气体优选在室温下是不可冷凝的,如,例如二氧化碳、一氧化碳、氢气和/或氨气;或者产生惰性气体,例如氮气。最优选的化合物是所谓的发泡剂;可以在GeorgeWypych的“Handbook of foaming and blowing agents”,第1版,2017年2月,第10章中找到有关发泡剂的更多信息。这些能够产生挥发性分解产物的化合物优选按介于10 wt%和60wt%之间,更优选介于15 wt%和50 wt%之间,且最优选介于20 wt%和40 wt%之间的水平包含在涂层中。具体化合物包括但不限于例如碳酸盐,例如碳酸铵和碳酸氢铵;以及氨基甲酸盐,例如氨基甲酸铵,它们在约60℃下经历分解,产生二氧化碳和/或氨气;和酰肼,例如苯磺酰肼或对甲苯磺酰肼,其分解形成氮气。优选将所提及的化合物初步溶解或分散,以致以溶液形式将其添加。
外涂层优选进一步包含亲水粘合剂。可在顶层中使用的优选的粘合剂公开于WO2005/029190(第36页第3行至第39页第25行)、US 2007/0020563(第[0158]段)和EP 1288 720(第[0148]段和第[0149]段),包括这些专利和专利申请中引用的参考文献。
用于顶层的最优选的粘合剂是聚乙烯醇和/或聚乙烯醇的衍生物。聚乙烯醇优选具有介于74摩尔%~99摩尔%范围内,更优选介于88摩尔%~98摩尔%范围内的水解度。可如DIN53 015中所定义的,在20℃下通过水溶液(4重量%)的粘度来测量聚乙烯醇的重均分子量,并且该粘度值优选介于3~26范围内,更优选介于3~15范围内,最优选介于3~10范围内。
也可使用具有不同水解和粘度值的聚乙烯醇和/或聚乙烯醇衍生物的混合物,例如两种或更多种水溶性聚合物的组合,例如聚乙烯醇和聚乙烯吡咯烷酮的组合。也可以使用改性的聚乙烯醇(例如具有羧基和/或磺酸基的聚乙烯醇),优选与未改性的聚乙烯醇一起使用。
顶层的涂层厚度优选介于0.25 g/m2和1.75 g/m2之间,更优选介于0.25 g/m2和1.3 g/m2之间,最优选介于0.25 g/m2和1.0 g/m2之间。在本发明的更优选的实施方案中,该任选的顶层具有介于0.25 g/m2和1.75 g/m2之间的涂层厚度,并包含具有介于74 mol%~99mol%范围内的水解度和介于3~26范围内的如上所定义的粘度值的聚乙烯醇。
外涂层可包含其它成分,例如阴离子表面活性剂,例如烷基硫酸钠或烷基磺酸钠、二辛基磺基琥珀酸酯钠、十二烷基苯磺酸钠和月桂基硫酸铵;两性表面活性剂,例如烷基氨基羧酸盐和烷基氨基-二羧酸盐;非离子表面活性剂,例如聚乙二醇、聚丙二醇和乙二醇与丙二醇的共聚物;聚硅氧烷表面活性剂、全氟化碳表面活性剂、烷基苯基环氧乙烷缩合物、EP 1 085 380(第[0021]段和第[0022]段)中公开的烷氧基化亚烷基二胺;甘油、无机颗粒、酸、颜料等。可将各种有机或无机微颗粒添加入外涂层中,以例如降低印版的粘性或湿度敏感性。酸优选为水溶性的并具有低分子量。所述酸可以是如EP 2 149 071第27页第1-21行中所公开的无机酸或有机酸。外涂层可任选包括其它成分,例如,如EP 2 916 171中所公开的消光剂或湿润剂,并通过引用并入本文。
可通过涂布溶液或分散体,或通过层压聚合物膜,在印刷版上形成外涂层。可以通过任何已知的方法进行涂布,所述方法例如辊涂、狭缝涂布、幕帘式涂布、迈耶棒式涂布(Mayer rod coating)、浸涂或喷涂;优选辊涂或狭缝涂布。优选通过强制热空气干燥、辐射干燥或强制空气干燥与辐射干燥的组合,进一步干燥经涂布的外涂层以去除水和/或任何溶剂。含有适用于形成外涂层的成膜聚合物的溶液或分散体可以是水溶性聚合物溶液(含有水溶性聚合物)或聚合物分散体(包括聚合物乳液和胶乳,含有水不溶性聚合物,添加或不添加水溶性聚合物),优选水溶性聚合物溶液。可以将诸如其它表面活性剂、润湿剂、消泡剂、流平剂和分散剂之类的各种添加剂添加到外涂层中,以促进例如涂布和/或显影过程。
适用于层压到光敏层上以形成外涂层的聚合物膜可以是任何聚合物膜,例如基于以下的聚合物膜:聚酯(包括聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯)、聚乙烯、聚丙烯、乙烯/丙烯共聚物、聚苯乙烯、聚乙烯醇缩丁醛(polyvinyl butyrol)、聚腈、聚酰胺、聚酰亚胺、聚氯乙烯、聚碳酸酯、聚甲基丙烯酸甲酯、丙烯酸酯/苯乙烯共聚物、甲基丙烯酸酯/苯乙烯共聚物、聚氨酯、环氧-胺聚合物、尼龙、特氟隆、纤维素及其成膜衍生物、以及聚乙酸乙烯酯。聚酯、聚乙烯和聚丙烯是优选的聚合物膜;并且更优选聚酯。
优选于在机显影期间使用润版液在机去除外涂层。
平版印刷版前体
根据本发明的平版印刷版前体是阴图制版的,即,在曝光和显影之后,涂层的未曝光区域从支撑体上去除并限定亲水(非印刷)区域,而曝光的涂层不从支撑体上去除并限定亲油(印刷)区域。亲水区域由具有亲水表面或提供有亲水层的支撑体来限定。疏水区域由涂层限定,其在曝光时硬化,任选地随后进行加热步骤。具有亲水性质的区域表示对水溶液比对亲油性油墨具有更高亲和力的区域;具有疏水性质的区域表示对亲油性油墨比对水溶液具有更高亲和力的区域。“硬化”表示涂层变得不溶于或不可分散于显影溶液,并且可以通过光敏涂层的聚合和/或交联来实现,这可以通过如上所述的加热步骤来增强。
支撑体
本发明中使用的平版印刷版包含支撑体,其具有亲水表面或其提供有亲水层。支撑体优选是经粗糙化和阳极化的铝支撑体,在本领域中是众所周知的。合适的支撑体例如公开于EP 1 843 203(第[0066]段至第[0075]段)中。在粗糙化步骤之后获得的表面粗糙度通常表示为算术平均中心线粗糙度Ra(ISO 4287/1或DIN 4762),并且可以介于0.05μm和1.5μm之间变化。本发明的铝衬底具有优选在0.45μm以下,更优选在0.40μm以下,且最优选在0.30μm以下的Ra值。Ra值的下限优选为约0.1μm。关于经粗糙化和阳极化的铝支撑体表面的优选Ra值的更多细节描述于EP 1 356 926中。通过阳极化铝支撑体,形成Al2O3层并且阳极重量(在铝表面上形成的Al2O3,g/m2)介于1 g/m2和8 g/m2之间变化。阳极重量优选≥3 g/m2,更优选≥3.5 g/m2,且最优选≥4.0 g/m2。
可使经粗糙化和阳极化的铝支撑体经受所谓的后阳极处理,以改进其表面的亲水性质。例如可通过在升高的温度(例如95°C)下用硅酸钠溶液处理铝支撑体的表面来将其硅酸盐化。或者,可应用磷酸盐处理,其牵涉用可进一步含有无机氟化物的磷酸盐溶液处理氧化铝表面。另外,可用柠檬酸或柠檬酸盐溶液漂洗氧化铝表面。该处理可以在室温下进行或者可以在约30~50°C的略微升高的温度下进行。另外的感兴趣的处理包括用碳酸氢盐溶液漂洗氧化铝表面。仍另外,可用聚乙烯基膦酸、聚乙烯基甲基膦酸、聚乙烯醇的磷酸酯、聚乙烯基磺酸、聚乙烯基苯磺酸、聚乙烯醇的硫酸酯以及通过与磺化脂族醛反应形成的聚乙烯醇的缩醛来处理氧化铝表面。
在本发明中,用聚乙烯基膦酸、聚乙烯基甲基膦酸、聚乙烯醇的磷酸酯、聚乙烯基磺酸、聚乙烯基苯磺酸、聚乙烯醇的硫酸酯和/或通过与磺化脂族醛反应形成的聚乙烯醇的缩醛对氧化铝表面的后处理是尤其优选的。更优选的是用聚乙烯基膦酸、聚乙烯基甲基膦酸、聚乙烯醇的磷酸酯和/或聚乙烯基磺酸对氧化铝表面的后处理。最优选的是用聚乙烯基膦酸对氧化铝表面的处理。
另一种有用的后阳极处理可以用聚丙烯酸或包含至少30 mol%的丙烯酸单体单元的聚合物的溶液进行,例如GLASCOL E15(聚丙烯酸,可从Ciba Speciality Chemicals商购)。
或者,可用促进粘附的化合物(例如描述于EP 1 788 434(第[0010]段)和WO2013/182328中的那些)来处理支撑体。
除了铝支撑体之外,还可以使用如公开于例如EP 1 025 992中的提供有一个或更多个亲水层的塑料支撑体,例如聚酯支撑体。
光聚合物涂层
涂层具有至少一个包括可光聚合组合物的层,所述层也称作“可光聚合层”。可光聚合层优选具有优选介于0.2 g/m2~5.0 g/m2范围内,更优选介于0.4 g/m2~3.0 g/m2范围内,最优选介于0.6 g/m2~2.2 g/m2范围内的涂层厚度。涂层可以包括位于支撑体和可光聚合层之间的其它层,如,例如粘附改进层。
可光聚合组合物优选包括可聚合化合物。可聚合化合物可以是包括至少一个环氧或乙烯基醚官能团的单体或低聚物,并且聚合引发剂是任选在敏化剂的存在下能够产生游离酸的布朗斯台德酸产生剂。合适的多官能环氧单体和合适的布朗斯台德酸产生剂公开于WO2014/198820 [048]和[049]中。
可聚合化合物最优选是包括至少一个烯属端基的可聚合单体或低聚物,下文也称作“可自由基聚合的单体”。聚合牵涉将可自由基聚合的单体连接在一起。
合适的可自由基聚合的单体公开于WO2014/198820的[0050]和[0051]中,并通过引用并入本文。
引发剂
在高度优选的实施方案中,涂层优选含有自由基引发剂,其能够在曝光时直接产生自由基或在敏化剂的存在下产生自由基。合适的自由基引发剂描述于WO 2005/111727(从第15页第17行至第16页第11行)和EP 1 091 247中,并且可包括例如六芳基-双咪唑化合物(HABI;三芳基-咪唑的二聚体)、芳族酮、芳族鎓盐、有机过氧化物、硫代化合物、酮-肟酯化合物、硼酸盐化合物、吖嗪鎓(azinium)化合物、茂金属化合物、活性酯化合物以及具有碳-卤素键的其它化合物。
涂层(优选可光聚合层)还可包含共引发剂。通常,共引发剂与自由基引发剂组合使用。用于在光聚合物涂层中使用的合适的共引发剂公开于US 6,410,205、US 5,049,479、EP 1 079 276、EP 1 369 232、EP 1 369 231、EP 1 341 040、US 2003/0124460、EP 1 241002、EP 1 288 720和以下参考书中(包括所引用的文献):K.K. Dietliker的Chemistry &Technology UV & EB formulation for coatings, inks & paints–第3卷–Photoinitiators for Free Radical and Cationic Polymerisation–P.K.T. Oldring编–1991–ISBN 0 947798161。如在EP 107 792中所述的具体共引发剂可存在于可光聚合层中,以进一步增加感光度。优选的共引发剂公开于EP 2 916 171 [0051]中,并且通过引用并入本文。
可通过在涂层中包括敏化剂(如,例如荧光增白剂)来获得非常高的感光度。作为敏化剂的荧光增白剂的合适实例描述于WO 2005/109103第24页第20行至第39页中。其它优选的敏化剂是吸收蓝光、绿光或红光的敏化剂,其具有介于450 nm和750 nm之间的吸收光谱。有用的敏化剂可选自US 6,410,205、US 5,049,479、EP 1 079 276、EP 1 369 232、EP 1369 231、EP 1 341 040、US 2003/0124460、EP 1 241 002和EP 1 288 720中公开的敏化染料。
红外吸收化合物
在另一种优选的实施方案中,涂层可包括红外吸收化合物。IR吸收化合物可以是红外光吸收染料或颜料。优选红外光吸收染料,在本文也称作IR染料。红外光吸收染料优选具有介于750 nm和1300 nm之间、优选介于780 nm和1200 nm之间、更优选介于800 nm和1100 nm之间的吸收光谱。IR吸收化合物吸收红外光并将所吸收的能量转化成热量。
相对于涂层的总干重计,IR染料的浓度优选为0.25 wt%~25.0 wt%,更优选0.5wt%~20.0 wt%,最优选1.0 wt%~10.0 wt%。
红外吸收化合物可存在于可光聚合层和/或外涂层和/或任选的其它层中。优选的IR吸收化合物是染料例如花青、部花青、靛苯胺、氧杂菁、吡喃鎓(pyrilium)和方酸鎓(squarilium)染料,或颜料例如炭黑。合适的IR吸收剂的实例描述于例如EP 823 327、EP978 376、EP 1 029 667、EP 1 053 868、EP 1 093 934、WO 97/39894和WO 00/29214中。特别优选的染料是七甲川花青(heptamethinecyane)染料,尤其EP 1 359 008第[0030]段至第[0032]段中公开的染料。
粘合剂
涂层优选包括粘合剂,优选地,粘合剂存在于可光聚合层中。粘合剂可选自广泛系列的有机聚合物。也可以使用不同粘合剂的组合物。有用的粘合剂描述于WO2005/111727第17页第21行至第19页第30行、EP 1 043 627第[0013]段和WO2005/029187第16页第26行至第18页第11行中。合适的粘合剂包括亲水粘合剂,例如乙烯醇、丙烯酰胺、羟甲基丙烯酰胺、羟甲基甲基丙烯酰胺、丙烯酸、甲基丙烯酸、丙烯酸羟乙酯、甲基丙烯酸羟乙酯的均聚物和共聚物;以及马来酸酐/乙烯基甲基醚共聚物。
其它成分
任选地,涂层可进一步含有额外的成分。这些成分可存在于可光聚合层或任选的其它层中。
例如,可光聚合层还可包含增加涂层的耐手动或机械损伤性的颗粒。该颗粒可以是无机颗粒、有机颗粒或填料,例如描述于例如US 7,108,956中。描述于EP 2 916 171[0053]-[0056]中的合适的间隔剂颗粒的更多细节通过引用并入本文。
可光聚合层还可包含抑制剂。用于在光聚合物涂层中使用的特别的抑制剂公开于US 6,410,205、EP 1 288 720和EP 1 749 240中。
可光聚合层可进一步包含粘附促进化合物,其可改进涂层与支撑体之间的粘附以及印版在印刷过程中的耐久性。粘附促进化合物是能够与支撑体相互作用的化合物,优选是具有可加成聚合的烯键式不饱和键和能够与支撑体相互作用的官能团的化合物,所述官能团例如磷酸酯基、膦酸酯基和三烷氧基硅烷基团。该化合物可存在于可光聚合层或支撑体与可光聚合层之间的中间层中。其合适的实例公开于EP 1 788 434的[0010]、WO 2013/182328、EP 851 299、EP 1 091 251、US 2004/214105、EP 1 491 356、US 2005/39620、EP 1495 866、EP 1 500 498、EP 1 520 694和EP 1 557 262、EP 2 212 746和EP 2007/059379中。
可将各种表面活性剂添加入可光聚合层中以允许或增强前体的可显影性;尤其使用胶溶液显影。优选高分子表面活性剂和小分子表面活性剂二者,例如非离子表面活性剂。更多细节描述于EP 2 916 171 [0059]中,并通过引用并入本文。
优选地,涂层包括印出剂,即,在曝光时能够改变涂层颜色的化合物。在将前体成像曝光之后,可以产生可见图像,也称作“印出图像”。印出剂可以是如EP-A-1 491 356第19和20页上的第[0116]段至第[0119]段以及US 2005/008971第17页上的第[0168]段至第[0172]段中所描述的化合物。优选的印出剂是EP 1 765 592 (从第9页第1行至第20页第27行)中描述的化合物。更优选的是如EP 1 736 312 (从第5页第32行至第32页第9行)中所描述的IR染料。在成像曝光和冲洗之后形成的图像的对比度使得最终用户能够立即确定前体是否已经被曝光和冲洗,以区分不同的颜色选择并检查印版前体上的图像质量。为了获得观察人的良好视觉对比度,着色剂的颜色类型也可能是重要的。着色剂的优选颜色是青色或蓝色,即,在蓝色下,我们理解为对于人眼呈现蓝色的颜色。
制备平版印刷版前体的方法
根据本发明,还提供了制备阴图制版平版印刷版的方法,其包括以下步骤:将本发明的印刷版前体成像曝光,然后将成像曝光的前体显影,以致将未曝光的区域溶解在显影剂溶液中。可通过以下方式来制备平版印刷版前体:(i)在如上所述的支撑体上施加如上所述的涂层;和(ii)将前体干燥。
曝光步骤
优选使印刷版前体暴露于激光。优选地,在印版记录机中离机进行成像曝光步骤,所述印版记录机即,适合于用激光器(例如激光二极管,发射约830 nm;Nd YAG激光器,发射约1060 nm;紫色激光器,发射约400 nm;或气体激光器,例如Ar激光器),或用数字调制的UV曝光装置(使用例如数字镜器件),或通过与掩模接触的常规曝光,将前体成像曝光的曝光设备。优选地,通过发射IR光(即,波长介于750 nm~1500 nm范围内)或紫色光(即,波长介于350 nm~450 nm范围内)的激光器,最优选通过发射紫色光的激光器,将前体成像曝光。
预热步骤
在曝光步骤之后,如上所述预热前体,由此能够产生挥发性分解产物的化合物产生气体,并且光聚合层的聚合和/或交联反应也可被增强。加热优选在介于80℃和300℃之间、更优选介于100℃和250℃之间,且最优选介于120℃和200℃之间的温度下。该热量的施加时段(即,停留时间)优选为介于2秒和30分钟之间,更优选介于10秒和15分钟之间,且最优选介于15秒和10分钟之间。该加热步骤可以在包含加热元件的预热单元中实施,所述加热元件如,例如IR灯、UV灯、加热的空气或加热的辊。
显影步骤
在曝光步骤和预热步骤之后,可以冲洗印版前体。在使成像的前体显影之前,可以进行预漂洗步骤,以去除保护性氧屏障或顶涂层。该预漂洗步骤可以在独立的装置中进行,或者通过用水手动漂洗成像的前体进行,或者该预漂洗步骤可以在整合到用于使成像的前体显影的显影机中的洗涤单元中进行。洗涤液优选为水,更优选为自来水。有关洗涤步骤的更多细节描述于EP 1 788 434 [0026]中。
在显影步骤期间,至少部分地去除图像记录层的未曝光区域而基本上不去除曝光区域。可以用手或在自动冲洗装置中,例如通过用浸渍垫摩擦、通过蘸、浸入、涂布、旋涂、喷涂、倾倒而将冲洗液(也称作显影剂)施加到印版。使用冲洗液的处理可以与机械摩擦(例如通过旋转刷)相结合。在显影步骤期间,优选还去除存在的任何水溶性保护层。优选在自动化冲洗单元中在介于20℃和40℃之间的温度下进行显影。
在高度优选的实施方案中,如上所述的冲洗步骤被在机冲洗代替,由此将成像的前体安装在印刷机上,并通过以下方式在机冲洗:旋转所述印版滚筒,同时将润湿液和/或油墨供给到前体的涂层,以从支撑体上去除未曝光的区域。在优选实施方案中,在印刷机的启动期间,向印版仅供应润湿液。在印版滚筒的若干次旋转(优选少于50次旋转,且最优选少于5次旋转)之后,还接通油墨供应。在替代的实施方案中,可以同时开始供应润湿液和油墨,或者可以在接通润湿液的供应之前的若干次旋转期间仅供应油墨。
冲洗步骤也可以通过组合以上所描述的实施方案来实施,例如,将利用冲洗液的显影与通过施加油墨和/或润版液的在机显影组合。
冲洗液
冲洗液可以是碱性显影剂或基于溶剂的显影剂。合适的碱性显影剂已描述于US2005/0162505中。碱性显影剂是具有至少11,更通常至少12,优选12~14的pH的水溶液。碱性显影剂通常含有碱性试剂以获得高pH值,其可以是无机碱性试剂或有机碱性试剂。显影剂可以包含阴离子表面活性剂、非离子表面活性剂和两性表面活性剂(至多为组合物总重量的3%);杀生物剂(抗微生物剂和/或抗真菌剂)、消泡剂或螯合剂(例如碱金属葡糖酸盐)和增稠剂(水溶性或水分散性多羟基化合物,例如甘油或聚乙二醇)。
优选地,冲洗液是胶溶液,由此在显影步骤期间,从支撑体上去除可光聚合层的未曝光区域,并且在单一步骤中对印版上胶。使用胶溶液的显影具有额外的益处,即,归因于在印版上未曝光区域中的残留胶,不要求额外的上胶步骤来保护非印刷区域中的支撑体表面。结果,在一个单一步骤中对前体进行冲洗和上胶,这牵涉与包含显影剂槽、漂洗工段和上胶工段的显影装置相比更简单的显影装置。上胶工段可以包含至少一个上胶单元或者可以包含两个或更多个上胶单元。这些上胶单元可以具有级联系统的构造,即,当将胶补充溶液添加在第二上胶单元中时或当第二上胶单元中的胶溶液仅使用一次时(即,优选通过喷雾或喷射技术仅使用起始胶溶液在该第二上胶单元中使前体显影时),第二上胶单元中使用且存在于第二槽中的胶溶液从第二槽溢流至第一槽。关于此类胶显影的更多细节描述于EP1 788 444中。
胶溶液通常是包含一种或更多种表面保护性化合物的水性液体,所述表面保护性化合物能够保护印刷版的平版图像免受污染(例如通过氧化、指纹、脂肪、油或灰尘造成的污染)或损害(例如通过在印版操作期间的刮擦造成的损害)。此类表面保护性化合物的合适的实例是成膜亲水聚合物或表面活性剂。在用胶溶液处理后保留在印版上的层优选包含介于0.005 g/m2和20 g/m2之间,更优选介于0.010 g/m2和10 g/m2之间,最优选介于0.020g/m2和5 g/m2之间的表面保护性化合物。可以在WO 2007/057348第9页第3行至第11页第6行中找到有关胶溶液中表面保护性化合物的更多细节。由于显影的印版前体在一个步骤中显影和上胶,因此经冲洗的印版不需要后处理。
胶溶液优选具有介于3和11之间,更优选介于4和10之间,甚至更优选介于5和9之间,且最优选介于6和8之间的pH值。合适的胶溶液描述于例如EP 1 342 568 [0008]至[0022]和WO2005/111727中。胶溶液可以进一步包含无机盐、阴离子表面活性剂、湿润剂、螯合化合物、防腐化合物、消泡化合物和/或油墨接受剂和/或其组合。关于这些额外成分的更多细节描述于WO 2007/057348第11页第22行至第14页第19行中。
干燥和烘烤步骤
在冲洗步骤之后,可以在干燥单元中干燥印版。在优选的实施方案中,通过在干燥单元中加热印版来干燥印版,所述干燥单元可以含有选自IR灯、UV灯、加热的金属辊或加热的空气的至少一个加热元件。
在干燥之后,可以任选在烘烤单元中加热印版。可以在WO 2007/057348第44页第26行至第45页第20行中找到关于在烘烤单元中加热的更多细节。
如此获得的印刷版可用于常规的所谓的湿胶版印刷,其中将油墨和水性润湿液供应至印版。另一种合适的印刷方法使用不含润湿液的所谓的单流体油墨。合适的单流体油墨已描述于US 4,045,232、US 4,981,517和US 6,140,392中。在最优选的实施方案中,如WO00/32705中所描述的,单流体油墨包含油墨相(也称为疏水相或亲油相)和多元醇相。
实施例
支撑体S-01
通过在65℃下用含有26 g/l NaOH的水溶液喷雾2秒对0.3 mm厚的铝箔进行脱脂,并用软化水漂洗1.5秒。然后在37℃的温度和约100 A/dm2的电流密度下,在含有15 g/l HCl、15g/l SO4 2-离子和5 g/l Al3+离子的水溶液中使用交流电,在10秒期间对该箔进行电化学粗糙化。然后,通过在36℃下用含有5.5 g/l NaOH的水溶液蚀刻2秒随后将铝箔剥黑膜,并用软化水漂洗2秒。随后使该箔在50℃的温度和17 A/dm2的电流密度下在含有145 g/l硫酸的水溶液中经受阳极氧化15秒,然后用软化水洗涤11秒并在120℃下干燥5秒。
如此获得的支撑体的特征在于表面粗糙度Ra为0.35-0.4μm(使用干涉仪NT1100测量)并具有3.0 g/m2的阳极重量。
支撑体S-02
通过在65℃下用含有26 g/l NaOH的水溶液喷雾2秒对0.3 mm厚的铝箔进行脱脂,并用软化水漂洗1.5秒。然后在37℃的温度和约100 A/dm2的电流密度下,在含有15 g/l HCl、15g/l SO4 2-离子和5 g/l Al3+离子的水溶液中使用交流电,在10秒期间对该箔进行电化学粗糙化。然后,通过在36℃下用含有5.5 g/l NaOH的水溶液蚀刻2秒随后将铝箔剥黑膜,并用软化水漂洗2秒。随后使该箔在50℃的温度和17 A/dm2的电流密度下在含有145 g/l硫酸的水溶液中经受阳极氧化15秒,然后用软化水洗涤11秒并在70°C下用含有1.1 g/l PVPA的溶液后处理3秒(通过喷雾),用软化水漂洗1秒,并在120℃下干燥5秒。
如此获得的支撑体的特征在于表面粗糙度Ra为0.35-0.4μm(使用干涉仪NT1100测量)并具有3.0 g/m2的阳极重量。
光敏层
通过将溶解在36体积%的MEK和64体积%的Dowanol PM(1-甲氧基-2-丙醇,可从DOWCHEMICAL Company商购)的混合物中的表1中所限定的可光聚合层PL-01和PL-02涂布到上文描述的支撑体S-01和S-02上来制备印刷版前体。以30μm的湿涂层厚度施加涂料溶液PL-01和PL-02,然后在120℃下在循环烘箱中干燥1分钟。

(1) Tegoglide 410TM是可从Evonik Tego Chemie GmbH商购的表面活性剂;
(2) GOHSEFIMER L 5407可从ALDRICH商购;
(3) FST510是可从AZ Electronic商购的二氨基甲酸酯二甲基丙烯酸酯;
(4) SR368可从Sartomer商购;
(5) HABI是可从SUMITOMO商购的2,2'-双(邻氯苯基)-4,4',5,5'-四苯基联咪唑;
(6) Fluomix是由以下化合物组成的紫色敏化剂混合物:
15 wt%
38 wt%
47 wt%
(7) MBI是2-巯基-苯并咪唑;
(8) Aerosil 150是可从DEGUSSA商购的比表面积(BET)为135-165 m2/g的二氧化硅颗粒;
(9) DISI 43236/2是20% MK9352(DCC蓝A3RN,阴丹酮蓝,可从DOMINION COLOURCORPORATION商购)和20% DISPERBYK 182(可从BYK Chemie GmbH商购)在Dowanol PM(可从DOW CHEMICAL Company商购的1-甲氧基-2-丙醇)中的颜料分散体;
(10) Albritect CP30是可从RHODIA商购的聚(丙烯酸)聚(乙烯基膦酸)70/30共聚物;
(11) Sipomer PAM 1OO是可从RHODIA商购的聚乙二醇单甲基丙烯酸酯的磷酸酯。
顶层
将包括如表2中所限定的组成的水溶液涂布(40μm湿厚度)在光敏层的顶部,并在120℃下干燥2分钟。表2中限定了不同顶层的组成。
表2:外涂层OC-01至OC-04的组成
(1)Mowiol 4-88™是可从Kuraray商购的部分水解的聚乙烯醇;
(2)IF-01是可从Kuraray商购的10% (合成化合物)和5% Poval 4 88的分散体;
(3)IF-02是10% Celogen OT(p.p’-氧基双(苯磺酰肼),可从Chempoint商购)和5%Poval 4 88(可从Kuraray商购)的分散体;
(4)Lutensol A8™是可从BASF商购的表面活性剂。
获得印刷版前体PPP-01至PPP-06。表3给出了发明以及比较印刷版前体PPP-01至PPP-06的概述。

3.热处理
在160°C下在循环烘箱中处理印刷版前体PPP-01至PPP-06 5分钟。将每个印版放置在加热炉的相同的位置,并在热处理之后从加热炉中移出。具有强制空气循环的Heraeus UT6120 furnaceTM用于热处理。
当印刷版前体冷却到室温时,将获得的印刷版前体暴露于白光(见下)。
还将未经加热的印刷版前体PPP-06 (参考例)暴露于白光(见下)。
在第一步骤中,用灰楔(grey wedge)(包括0.15的常数的阶梯(step))覆盖印版前体,随后暴露于光(荧光管TL-D58W/840),持续5分钟时段。荧光管产生的照度(在印版表面测量)为约1000 Lux。
表4给出了灰楔上的阶梯、光的透射和Lux的量之间的相关性。例如,阶梯1没有滤光器,且光完全通过,这产生1000 Lux,而在阶梯2仅71%的光通过,这产生708 Lux。

在第二步骤中,在曝光(5分钟)之后,冲洗获得的印版前体(见下)并且确定没有发生涂层聚合的光楔的阶梯。支撑体上的发生聚合的区域可见为有色的区域。阶梯值越低,印刷版前体的白光稳定性越佳。实际上,在没有观察到阶梯或者换言之在阶梯1处没有发生聚合时获得最佳结果,这表示样品在1000 Lux下持续至少5分钟是稳定的。如果例如不发生聚合的光楔的阶梯是阶梯4,则样品在350 Lux (总照度的35%)下持续5分钟是稳定的。
白光稳定性定义为Lux的量乘以曝光时间,因此后者实施例的白光稳定性是350Lux x 5分钟=1750 Lux*min。
使用可从Agfa Graphics NV商购的Violet CF GUM-NP™在可得自Agfa Graphics NV的Azura C95 processor™(速度60 cm/min,在21°C下)中冲洗印刷版前体PPP-01至PPP-06,以从支撑体上去除非图像区域中的涂层。获得印刷版PP-01至PP-06。
下表5中总结了白光稳定性试验的结果。

表5中的结果显示,相比于比较印刷版(PP-01和PP-04),在外涂层中包括本发明化合物的发明印刷版(即,PP-03和PP-05)的白光稳定性显著更高。
表6中给出了印刷版PP-06的白光稳定性结果。使用支撑体S-02制备PP-06,该支撑体经亲水聚合物后处理。本实施例中包括未经热处理的印刷版作为参考例。

表6中的结果显示了PP-06在热处理之后具有大于5000 Lux的光稳定性,并阐示了支撑体的后处理的显著效果。
Claims (15)
1.一种平版印刷版前体,其在支撑体上包括可光聚合涂层以及提供在所述涂层上的外涂层,其特征在于所述外涂层包括能够产生挥发性分解产物的化合物。
2.根据权利要求1所述的印刷版前体,其中所述能够产生挥发性分解产物的化合物是可热分解的化合物。
3.根据权利要求1或2所述的印刷版前体,其中所述能够产生挥发性分解产物的化合物是发泡剂。
4.根据权利要求2或3所述的印刷版前体,其中所述可热分解的化合物选自碳酸盐、氨基甲酸盐和酰肼。
5.根据权利要求4所述的印刷版前体,其中所述可热分解的化合物选自碳酸铵、碳酸氢铵、氨基甲酸铵、苯磺酰肼或对甲苯磺酰肼。
6.根据前述权利要求中任一项所述的印刷版前体,其中所述挥发性分解产物是在室温下不可冷凝的气体或惰性气体。
7.根据前述权利要求中任一项所述的印刷版前体,其中所述挥发性分解产物选自二氧化碳、一氧化碳、氨气、氧气、氢气和/或氮气。
8.根据前述权利要求中任一项所述的印刷版前体,其中所述能够产生挥发性分解产物的化合物以介于10 wt%和60 wt%之间的水平存在于所述涂层中。
9.根据前述权利要求中任一项所述的印刷版前体,其中所述可光聚合涂层包含可聚合化合物和自由基引发剂。
10.根据前述权利要求中任一项所述的印刷版前体,其中所述支撑体是经粗糙化和阳极化的铝,其用聚乙烯基膦酸、聚乙烯基甲基膦酸、聚乙烯醇的磷酸酯、聚乙烯基磺酸、聚乙烯基苯磺酸、聚乙烯醇的硫酸酯和/或通过与磺化脂族醛反应形成的聚乙烯醇的缩醛进行后处理。
11.一种制备印刷版的方法,其包括以下步骤:
- 将如前述权利要求中任一项所定义的印刷版前体成像暴露于热和/或光;
- 加热所述前体;
- 将所述前体显影。
12.根据权利要求7所述的方法,其中用具有介于350 nm和450 nm之间的波长的激光将所述前体曝光。
13.根据权利要求7或8所述的方法,其中在介于80°C和300°C之间的温度下加热所述前体。
14.根据权利要求7-9所述的方法,其中加热所述前体,持续介于2秒和30分钟之间的停留时间。
15.根据权利要求7-10所述的方法,其中通过以下方式在机进行显影步骤:将曝光的前体安装在平版印刷机的印版滚筒上并旋转所述印版滚筒,同时将润湿液和/或油墨供给至所述涂层。
