Wheat is a general name of wheat plants, is a monocotyledon, is a gramineous plant widely planted all over the world, has caryopsis as one of staple food of human beings, and can be used for making foods such as bread, steamed bread, biscuits, noodles and the like after being ground into flour; fermenting, and making into beer, alcohol, Chinese liquor (such as vodka), or biomass fuel. Wheat is rich in starch, protein, fat, minerals, calcium, iron, thiamine, riboflavin, nicotinic acid, vitamin A, vitamin C, etc.
Wheat is one of the three major grains, is almost all eaten, and only about one sixth of the wheat is used as feed. The two river basin is the earliest region for cultivating wheat in the world, and China is one of the earliest countries for cultivating wheat in the world. Wheat in 2010 is the second food crop of the world in total production (6.51 hundred million tons), second only to corn (8.44 hundred million tons).
Selenium is an important trace element necessary for human bodies, can improve human immunity, promote the proliferation of lymphocytes and the synthesis of antibodies and immune globulin, has obvious effects of medical care and disease prevention and treatment, and has very important significance for human health. Wheat is indispensable in diet of people, so that the method for promoting the health of human bodies and improving the economic benefit of farmers by improving the selenium content of wheat is a very good way, but the selenium content of wheat is improved by basically planting wheat in selenium-rich soil in the existing planting method, the selenium content of wheat is low after wheat is planted in conventional soil, but the land resource with high selenium content in China is limited, so that the development of a method for planting selenium-rich wheat in common soil is very important.
