近年来,已经提出了使用氟化物离子的氟化物离子二次电池。
例如,专利文献1公开了一种氟化物离子电化学单元。在该文献中,作为正极材料,公开了CFx、AgFx、CuFx、NiFx、CoFx、PbFx以及CeFx,作为负极材料,公开了LaFx、CaFx、AlFx、EuFx、LiC6、LixSi、SnFx、MnFx。

以下的说明均示出了概括的或者具体的例子。以下所示的数值、组成、形状、膜厚、电特性、二次电池的构造、电极材料等为一个例子,并不是限定本发明的主旨。表示最上位概念的独立权利要求中没有记载的构成要素为任选的构成要素。
在以下的说明中,用物质的名称表示的材料只要没有特别说明,并不局限于化学计量组成,也包括非化学计量组成。
在以下的说明中,使用记号“~”表示的数值范围可以解释为包含“~”的两端的数值。
[1.活性物质]
[1-1.活性物质的组成]
本实施方式的活性物质含有复合氟化物,所述复合氟化物含有碱金属或者NH4、过渡金属、和氟。该活性物质既可以是正极活性物质,或者也可以是负极活性物质。
该活性物质的放电曲线显示出平坦的平台电位。因此,在该活性物质用于氟化物离子二次电池的情况下,该电池可以显示出稳定的输出电压。
上述的复合氟化物也可以是含有碱金属和过渡金属的金属复合氟化物。碱金属例如为选自Na、K、Rb以及Cs之中的至少1种。
或者,复合氟化物也可以是含有NH4和过渡金属的无机复合氟化物。在此,所谓“含有NH4”,意味着在用组成式表示复合氟化物时,其组成式含有NH4。“含有NH4的无机复合氟化物”的例子虽然包括含有铵离子(NH4 +)作为阳离子的盐,但并不包括以氨分子(NH3)为配位基的络合物盐。但是,这并不是放弃(disclaim)活性物质除上述复合氟化物以外还进一步含有络合物盐(例如作为副成分)这一形态。
过渡金属也可以是3d过渡金属。3d过渡金属例如也可以是选自Mn、Fe、Co、Ni以及Cu之中的至少1种。Mn、Fe、Co、Ni以及Cu可以提高电极电位。这通过使用例如标准生成吉布斯能的计算便可以得到证实。因此,含有Mn、Fe、Co、Ni和/或Cu的复合氟化物例如可以作为正极活性物质发挥作用。
复合氟化物例如也可以用组成式AxMyFz(在此,A为Na、K、Rb、Cs或者NH4,M为选自Mn、Fe、Co、Ni以及Cu之中的至少1种,1≤x≤2、1≤y≤2、且3<z<5)来表示。
在组成式中,通过满足1≤x,可以期待与碱金属或者NH4的阳离子化相伴的脱氟化反应的提高。通过满足x≤2以及1≤y,可以提高承担电极反应的过渡金属的比率。通过满足y≤2,可以利用比较大的价数(例如+2~4)的过渡金属的反应。当在电极反应中能够利用较大价数的变化时,可以提高电极电位。通过满足3<z<5,便可以抑制复合氟化物的密度的降低,而且可以提高参与电极反应的氟的比率。
在上述组成式中,A也可以进一步为K、Cs或者NH4。例如,在K+、Cs+以及NH4 +中,当配置在复合氟化物的晶体结构内的所希望的位点时,也可以选择具有所希望的离子半径的阳离子。
在上述组成式中,所述M也可以为Cu。Cu与其它3d过渡金属相比,电极电位较高。因此,在该活性物质用作正极活性物质的情况下,可以提高正极的电位。
活性物质(或者复合氟化物)的组成例如可以通过ICP(电感耦合等离子体)发射光谱分析法以及离子色谱来决定。得到的复合氟化物的晶体结构可以通过粉末X射线衍射(XRD)分析来决定。
复合氟化物例如既可以是固溶体,也可以是非晶。
活性物质也可以将上述复合氟化物作为主要成分含有。在此,所谓“作为主要成分含有”,意味着活性物质含有多于50体积百分数的上述复合氟化物。
例如,活性物质含有多个相,这些多个相中的一部分也可以属于上述的复合氟化物。
例如,活性物质除上述的复合氟化物以外,也可以含有与该复合氟化物中含有的过渡金属同种的过渡金属的氟化物(例如MFα,α为0以上的实数)。
例如,活性物质也可以不含有氧原子。由此,可以避免经由氧气而起火的危险。
活性物质的形状并没有特别的限定,例如为粒子。在活性物质为粒子的情况下,其平均粒径并没有特别的限定,例如也可以是0.5~50μm。在此,平均粒径被定义为采用激光衍射散射法测得的体积基准的粒径分布的中值粒径。
[1-2.设想的机理]
迄今为止,作为氟化物离子二次电池用活性物质,已经报告了主要含有单一金属的金属氟化物(例如MFx)。这些金属氟化物伴随着电池的充放电而显示基于脱氟化和氟化的转化反应。具体地说,正极活性物质在放电时由金属氟化物脱氟化成金属,在充电时由金属氟化成金属氟化物。负极活性物质在放电时由金属氟化成金属氟化物,在充电时由金属氟化物脱氟化成金属。
然而,在以前的活性物质中,存在不能充分得到这样的转化反应的问题。在理想地表现出转化反应的情况下,可以预见其充放电曲线显示出平坦的平台电位。另一方面,如果在活性物质和电解液之间产生不需要的副反应,则这可能导致充放电特性的恶化。
本实施方式的活性物质通过含有碱金属或者NH4,促进作为主反应的转化反应。因此,如后所述,活性物质的放电曲线显示出平坦的平台电位。其原因未必清楚,但作为可能性之一,本发明人推测如下。
碱金属以及NH4与活性物质中含有的过渡金属(例如Mn、Fe、Co、Ni、Cu)相比,离子化倾向较高。因此,在放电时,碱金属以及NH4比过渡金属更优先地从活性物质离开,由此,可以促进活性物质的分解。其结果是,主反应的反应速度加快,副反应可以受到抑制。
例如,本实施方式的活性物质用上述的组成式来表示,且在y=1的情况下,其放电反应可以推测如下。
AxMyFz+(z-x)e-→M+xA++zF-
以上的机理终归是推测的,并不对本发明进行限定。例如,脱氟化时,在过渡金属的价数多阶段地发生变化的情况下,放电反应可以变得更复杂。
[1-3.活性物质的制造方法]
下面就本实施方式的活性物质的制造方法的一个例子进行说明。
首先,作为原料,准备含有碱金属或者NH4的氟化物、和含有过渡金属的氟化物。
含有碱金属或者NH4的氟化物例如为氟化物AF(A为Na、K、Rb、Cs或者NH4)。
含有过渡金属的氟化物例如为过渡金属的氟化物MFn(M为过渡金属,n为过渡金属的价数)。作为过渡金属的氟化物的例子,可以列举出MnF2、FeF3、FeF2、CoF3、CoF2、NiF2以及CuF2。
此外,用于活性物质的原料并不局限于上述原料。例如,过渡金属源也可以是单质的金属。例如,也可以使用含有多种金属的原料。
各原料的形状例如为粉末状。
接着,称量准备的原料。各原料的分量根据目标的复合氟化物的组成进行适当的调整。
接着,混合称量的原料。
例如,通过将原料进行长时间混合,采用机械化学反应便得到复合氟化物。在此情况下,作为混合装置的例子,例如可以列举出球磨机、棒磨机、珠磨机、喷磨机以及混合转子(mixing rotor)。混合方法例如既可以是干式法,也可以是湿式法。在湿式法的情况下,也可以混合原料和有机溶剂。有机溶剂例如也可以是乙醇或者丙酮。混合时间例如为10~48小时。
或者,也可以在用短时间混合原料后,通过烧成而得到复合氟化物。混合既可以使用上述的混合装置,也可以使用乳钵。混合方法例如既可以是干式法,也可以是湿式法。混合时间例如在使用乳钵时为1~30分钟,在使用球磨机时为10~24小时。混合物在不活泼气氛下进行烧成。作为不活泼气体的例子,可以列举出氮以及氩。温度条件也根据原料的种类和/或目标的组成的不同而不同,但例如设定为200℃~800℃。烧成时间例如设定为3~24小时。
活性物质的制造方法并不局限于上述的例子。作为活性物质的制造方法的例子,可以列举出溅射和化学气相沉积(CVD)等气相法、以及浸渍法等液相法。
[2.氟化物离子二次电池]
[2-1.整体构成]
本实施方式的活性物质可以用于氟化物离子二次电池。也就是说,氟化物离子二次电池包括正极、负极、和具有氟化物离子传导性的电解质。
图1是示意表示氟化物离子二次电池10的构成例的剖视图。
氟化物离子二次电池10具有正极21、负极22、隔膜14、壳体11、封口板15和垫圈18。隔膜14配置于正极21和负极22之间。电解质含浸于正极21、负极22以及隔膜14中,它们被收进壳体11中。壳体11用垫圈18以及封口板15进行封闭。
氟化物离子二次电池10的构造例如也可以是圆筒形、方形、纽扣形、硬币形或者扁平形。
[2-2.正极]
正极21包括正极集电体12、和配置于正极集电体12上的正极活性物质层13。
正极活性物质层13也可以含有在上述[1-1.活性物质的组成]中说明过的活性物质。此外,活性物质中的氟的量可以伴随着充放电而变化。因此,活性物质例如在氟化物离子二次电池10的满充电状态下,具有上述[1-1.活性物质的组成]中说明过的组成。
在此,所谓“满充电状态”,是指氟化物离子二次电池到达充电终止电压而使充电完成的状态。在满充电状态下,与可逆容量相当这种量的氟化物离子全部编入正极活性物质中。本实施方式的正极活性物质例如在充电电位相对于Ag/AgCl基准为-0.9V以上时,可以看作是处于满充电状态。
正极活性物质也可以不是上述的活性物质,例如也可以是含有选自Cu、Ag、Hg、Mo、Cu、Co、V、Bi、Sb、Ni、Tl、Pb、Cd、Fe、V、Nb、Zn、Ga以及Cr之中的至少1种的金属、合金或者氟化物。或者,正极活性物质也可以是氟化碳。
正极活性物质层13既可以含有仅1种活性物质,也可以含有2种以上的活性物质。
正极活性物质层13也可以根据需要,进一步含有导电剂、粘结剂和/或离子传导体。
作为导电剂的例子,可以列举出碳材料、金属、无机化合物以及导电性高分子。作为碳材料的例子,可以列举出石墨、碳黑、碳纳米管、碳纤维、石墨烯、富勒烯、以及氟化石墨、氧化石墨。作为石墨的例子,可以列举出天然石墨以及人造石墨。作为碳黑的例子,可以列举出乙炔黑、科琴碳黑(注册商标)、槽法碳黑、炉法碳黑、灯黑以及热裂碳黑。作为金属的例子,可以列举出铜、镍、铝、银以及金。作为无机化合物的例子,可以列举出碳化钨、碳化钛、碳化钽、碳化钼、硼化钛、氮化钛、氧化钛、氧化锌以及钛酸钾。作为导电性高分子的例子,可以列举出聚苯胺、聚吡咯以及聚噻吩。
作为粘结剂的例子,可以列举出聚偏氟乙烯、聚四氟乙烯、聚乙烯、聚丙烯、芳族聚酰胺树脂、聚酰胺、聚酰亚胺、聚酰胺酰亚胺、聚丙烯腈、聚丙烯酸、聚丙烯酸甲酯、聚丙烯酸乙酯、聚丙烯酸己酯、聚甲基丙烯酸、聚甲基丙烯酸甲酯、聚甲基丙烯酸乙酯、聚甲基丙烯酸己酯、聚醋酸乙烯酯、聚乙烯吡咯烷酮、聚醚、聚醚砜、聚六氟丙烯、丁苯橡胶以及羧甲基纤维素。或者,粘结剂例如也可以是选自四氟乙烯、六氟乙烯、六氟丙烯、全氟烷基乙烯基醚、偏氟乙烯、三氟氯乙烯、乙烯、丙烯、五氟丙烯、氟甲基乙烯基醚、丙烯酸以及己二烯之中的多种的共聚物。
作为离子传导体的例子,可以列举出Pb-K复合氟化物、La-Ba复合氟化物、Ce-Sr复合氟化物、Cs-Ca复合氟化物、Ce-Sr-Li复合氟化物、Pb-Sn复合氟化物以及Pb-Sn-Zr复合氟化物。
作为分散正极活性物质、导电剂以及粘结剂的溶剂的例子,可以列举出N-甲基吡咯烷酮、二甲基甲酰胺、二甲基乙酰胺、甲乙酮、环己酮、醋酸甲酯、丙烯酸甲酯、二乙撑三胺、N,N-二甲基氨基丙胺、环氧乙烷以及四氢呋喃。例如,在分散剂中也可以添加增稠剂。作为增稠剂的例子,可以列举出羧甲基纤维素以及甲基纤维素。
正极活性物质层13例如可以采用如下的方法形成。
首先,将正极活性物质、导电剂和粘结剂混合。例如,使用球磨机等混合装置,以干式的方式对正极活性物质和导电剂进行长时间(例如10~24小时)混合,然后,在其中添加粘结剂而进行进一步的混合。由此,便得到正极合剂。接着,采用压延机将正极合剂压延成板状,从而形成正极活性物质层13。或者,也可以在得到的混合物中添加溶剂而形成正极合剂浆料,然后将其涂布于正极集电体12的表面。通过干燥正极合剂浆料,便得到正极活性物质层13。此外,为了提高电极密度,也可以对正极活性物质层13进行压缩。
正极活性物质层13的膜厚并没有特别的限定,也可以是1~500μm,进而也可以是50~200μm。
正极集电体12的材料例如为金属或者合金。更具体地说,正极集电体12的材料也可以是含有选自铜、铬、镍、钛、铂、金、铝、钨、铁、钼以及锆之中的至少1种的金属或者合金。正极集电体12的材料例如也可以是不锈钢。
正极集电体12既可以是板状或者箔状,也可以是多孔质、网格或者无孔的。正极集电体12也可以是层叠膜。正极集电体12在与正极活性物质层13接触的面上也可以具有由碳等碳材料构成的层。
在壳体11兼作正极集电体的情况下,正极集电体12也可以省略。
[2-3.负极]
负极22例如包括含有负极活性物质的负极活性物质层17、和负极集电体16。
负极活性物质只要其电极电位低于正极活性物质的电极电位,也可以是在上述[1-1.活性物质的组成]中说明过的活性物质。此外,活性物质中的氟的量可以伴随着充放电而变化。因此,活性物质例如在氟化物离子二次电池10的完全放电状态下,具有上述[1-1.活性物质的组成]中说明过的组成。
在此,所谓“完全放电状态”,是指氟化物离子二次电池到达放电终止电压而使放电完成的状态。在完全放电状态下,与可逆容量相当这种量的氟化物离子全部编入负极活性物质中。
负极活性物质也可以不是上述的活性物质,例如也可以是含有选自La、Ca、Al、Eu、C、Si、Ge、Sn、In、V、Cd、Cr、Fe、Zn、Ga、Ti、Nb、Mn、Yb、Zr、Sm、La、Ce、Rb、Cs、Mg、K、Na、Ba以及Sr之中的至少1种的金属、合金或者氟化物。
负极活性物质层17既可以含有仅1种活性物质,也可以含有2种以上的活性物质。
负极活性物质层17也可以根据需要,进一步含有导电剂、粘结剂和/或离子传导体。导电剂、粘结剂、离子传导体、溶剂以及增稠剂例如可以适当利用[2-2.正极]中说明过的材料。
负极活性物质层17的膜厚并没有特别的限定,也可以是1~500μm,进而也可以是50~200μm。
负极集电体16的材料例如可以适当利用与上述[2-2.正极]中说明过的正极集电体12同样的材料。负极集电体16也可以为板状或者箔状。
在壳体11兼作负极集电体的情况下,负极集电体16也可以省略。
[2-4.隔膜]
作为隔膜14的材料的例子,可以列举出多孔膜、织布、无纺布。作为无纺布的例子,可以列举出树脂无纺布、玻璃纤维无纺布以及纸制无纺布。隔膜14的材料也可以是聚丙烯、聚乙烯等聚烯烃。隔膜14的厚度例如为10~300μm。隔膜14既可以是由1种材料构成的单层膜,也可以是由2种以上的材料构成的复合膜(或者多层膜)。隔膜14的孔隙率例如在30~70%的范围。
[2-5.电解质]
电解质只要是具有氟化物离子传导性的材料即可。
电解质例如为电解液。电解液含有溶剂、和溶解于溶剂中的氟化物盐。溶剂既可以是水,或者也可以是非水溶剂。
作为非水溶剂的例子,可以列举出醇、环状醚、链状醚、环状碳酸酯、链状碳酸酯、环状羧酸酯以及链状羧酸酯。
作为醇的例子,可以列举出乙醇、乙二醇以及丙二醇。
作为环状醚的例子,可以列举出4-甲基-1,3-二氧杂戊环、2-甲基四氢呋喃以及冠醚。作为链状醚的例子,可以列举出1,2-二甲氧基乙烷、乙二醇二甲醚、二乙二醇二甲醚、三乙二醇二甲醚以及四乙二醇二甲醚。作为环状碳酸酯的例子,可以列举出碳酸亚乙酯、碳酸亚丙酯、碳酸亚丁酯、氟代碳酸亚乙酯以及4,5-二氟代碳酸亚乙酯。作为链状碳酸酯的例子,可以列举出碳酸二甲酯、碳酸甲乙酯以及碳酸二乙酯。作为环状羧酸酯的例子,可以列举出γ-丁内酯。作为链状羧酸酯的例子,可以列举出乙酸乙酯、乙酸丙酯以及乙酸丁酯。
例如,非水溶剂也可以是离子液体。
作为离子液体的阳离子的例子,可以列举出1-乙基-3-甲基咪唑鎓阳离子、1-乙基吡啶鎓阳离子、1-甲氧基乙基-1-甲基吡咯烷鎓阳离子、N-甲基-N-丙基哌啶鎓阳离子、三甲基丁基铵阳离子、N,N-二乙基-N-甲基甲氧基乙基铵阳离子、四丁基鏻阳离子、三乙基-(2-甲氧基乙基)鏻阳离子、三乙基锍阳离子以及二乙基-(2-甲氧基乙基)锍阳离子。
作为离子液体的阴离子的例子,可以列举出双(氟磺酰基)酰胺阴离子、双(三氟甲磺酰基)酰胺阴离子、六氟磷酸阴离子、三(五氟乙基)三氟磷酸阴离子、三氟甲烷磺酸阴离子以及四氟硼酸阴离子。
电解质可以仅含有1种溶剂,也可以含有2种以上的溶剂。
作为氟化物盐的例子,可以列举出无机氟化物盐、有机氟化物盐以及离子液体。
作为无机氟化物盐的例子,可以列举出氟化锂、氟化钠、氟化钾、氟化铷、氟化铯以及氟化铵。
作为有机氟化物盐的例子,可以列举出四甲基氟化铵、新戊基三甲基氟化铵、三新戊基甲基氟化铵、四新戊基氟化铵、1,3,3,6,6-六甲基氟化哌啶、1-甲基-1-丙基氟化哌啶、四甲基氟化鏻、四苯基氟化鏻以及三甲基氟化锍。
电解质可以仅含有1种氟化物盐,也可以含有2种以上的氟化物盐。
溶剂和氟化物盐例如被封入密封容器中,并通过搅拌而进行混合。由此,氟化物盐溶解于溶剂中。此外,氟化物盐既可以完全不溶解于溶剂中,也可以是一部分溶解残留。
电解液中氟化物盐相对于溶剂的摩尔比率并没有特别的限定,例如既可以是1/150~1/2,也可以是1/30~1/4,进而也可以是1/10~1/5。由此,可以抑制电解液的粘度的增大,而且可以提高电解液中的氟化物离子的浓度。
在正极活性物质或者负极活性物质含有在上述[1.活性物质]中记载的复合氟化物的情况下,电解质也可以含有与上述的复合氟化物中含有的碱金属同种的碱金属离子、或者铵离子。除此以外,电解质也可以进一步含有与上述的复合氟化物中含有的过渡金属同种的过渡金属的离子。
[2-6.变形例]
图2是示意表示氟化物离子二次电池20的构成例的剖视图。
氟化物离子二次电池20具有正极21、负极22、和固体电解质23。将正极21、固体电解质23和负极22依次层叠,从而形成层叠体。
正极21例如与上述[2-2.正极]中说明过的正极同样。负极22例如与上述[2-3.负极]中说明过的负极同样。
固体电解质23例如可以使用上述[2-2.正极]中说明过的离子传导体。
固体电解质23的膜厚并没有特别的限定,也可以是1~100μm。
[3.实验结果]
[3-1.样品的制作]
按照以下说明的步骤,制作出各种样品。
[3-1-1.样品1~3的制作]
首先,作为原料,准备无水氟化铯(CsF)以及无水氟化铜(II)(CuF2)。称量这些原料,使其摩尔比为CsF:CuF2=2:1,总质量为7g。将称量的原料与直径5mm的氧化锆制球一起添加到预先盛入12g乙醇的50cc的聚乙烯容器并加以密閉。到此为止的作业均在露点为-60度以下、氧值为1ppm以下的氩气氛的手套箱内进行。然后,将容器安装在混合转子的恒温槽中。将恒温槽的温度设定为60℃,以100rpm的转速将容器内的原料搅拌10天。由此,便得到活性物质的样品1。
称量质量7g的CuF2,得到活性物质的样品2。
使用无水氟化铵(NH4F)以代替CsF,除此以外,采用与样品1同样的方法,得到活性物质的样品3。
[3-1-2.样品4~6的制作]
首先,作为原料,准备无水氟化钠(NaF)以及无水氟化镍(II)(NiF2)。称量这些原料,使其摩尔比为NaF:NiF2=1:1,总质量为1.5g。将称量的原料盛入玛瑙乳钵中,以干式的方式混合15分钟。采用直径15mm的模具对得到的混合物进行压粉,从而得到粒料。将该粒料置于铺有Pt箔的燃烧舟中,并将该舟放入小型电炉。使炉内的温度以300℃/小时的比例从室温升温至600℃,然后在600℃下维持5小时。以上的作业均在露点为-60度以下、氧值为1ppm以下的氩气氛的手套箱内进行。由此,混合物得到烧成,从而得到活性物质的样品4。
使用无水氟化铷(RbF)以代替NaF,除此以外,采用与样品4同样的方法,得到活性物质的样品5。
使用无水氟化锰(II)(MnF2)以代替NiF2,除此以外,采用与样品4同样的方法,得到活性物质的样品6。
[3-2.样品的分析]
使用XRD法,对样品1的相组成进行了分析。其结果是,样品1具有Cs2CuF4的单相结构。同样,对样品3~6的相组成进行了分析。样品3具有(NH4)2CuF4的单相结构。样品4具有NaNiF3的单相结构。样品5具有RbNiF3的单相结构。样品6具有NaMnF3的单相结构。
[3-3.电池的制作]
[3-3-1.使用样品1~3的电池单元的制作]
使用正极活性物质的样品1,制作出了评价用电池单元。电池的制作均在露点为-60度以下、氧值为1ppm以下的氩气氛的手套箱内进行。
首先,称量正极活性物质的样品1、乙炔黑和聚四氟乙烯(PTFE),使其质量比为7:2:1。使用玛瑙乳钵,将称量的原料混合。由此,便得到正极合剂。采用辊压机将该正极合剂压延至厚度为100μm,并冲裁成5mm×5mm的正方形。由此,便得到正极合剂板。
将正极合剂板载在8mm×30mm的Pt网上,并将它们安装在压力机上。对正极合剂板以及Pt网以20MPa的压力施加10秒钟,从而将它们压接在一起。由此,便得到含有样品1的正极。
作为对电极,准备8mm×30mm的Pt网。
作为参比电极,准备Ag/AgCl参比电极。Ag/AgCl参比电极由用内部溶液充满的玻璃管、和插入玻璃管且事先在表面形成有AgCl的Ag线构成。作为内部溶液,使用氯化钾饱和水溶液。
将作为工作电极的正极、对电极和参比电极安装在H型槽中,并以电解液充满H型槽。作为电解液,使用在乙二醇(EG)中以摩尔比为CsF:EG=1:10的方式溶解有无水氟化铯(CsF)所得到的溶液。在H型槽中,工作电极和参比电极、与对电极之间用玻璃过滤器分隔。
由此,便得到使用样品1的电池单元。
同样地,分别制作出使用样品2以及3的电池单元。
[3-3-2.使用样品4~6的电池单元的制作]
除了使用Pb/PbF2参比电极以代替Ag/AgCl参比电极这点、使用样品4~6以代替样品1这点以外,采用与上述的电池单元同样的方法,分别制作出使用样品4~6的电池单元。
Pb/PbF2参比电极由用内部溶液充满的玻璃管、和插入玻璃管且事先在表面形成有PbF2的Pb线构成。作为内部溶液,使用在乙二醇(EG)中以摩尔比为CsF:EG=1:10的方式溶解有无水氟化铯(CsF)所得到的溶液。
[3-4.放电试验]
[3-4-1.使用样品1~3的电池单元的放电试验]
对于使用样品1~3的电池单元,进行了放电试验。该试验在25℃的恒温槽内进行。具体地说,采用由正极活性物质的理论容量算出的0.01C的速率,通过使工作电极的电位从第1平台电位的区域放电直至达到比其低的第2平台电位的区域,从而对各电池单元的初次放电特性进行评价。具体地说,使用样品1的电池单元放电直至工作电极和参比电极的电位差达到-800mV,使用样品2的电池单元放电直至电位差达到-500mV。使用样品3的电池单元放电直至电位差达到-700mV。
图3示出了使用样品1~3的电池单元的放电曲线。如图3所示,使用样品1~3的电池单元的放电曲线都显示出平坦的平台区域。使用样品1(即Cs2CuF4)的电池单元的第1平台电位(即还原电位)处于与使用样品2(即CuF2)的电池单元的第1平台电位同等程度。使用样品1(即Cs2CuF4)的电池单元、以及使用样品3(即(NH4)2CuF4)的电池单元的放电曲线都从第1平台电位的区域直至达到第2平台电位的区域显示出陡峭的电位降。可以推测这是因为在使用样品1、3的电池单元中,活性物质和电解液之间不需要的副反应受到抑制。
在使用样品1(即Cs2CuF4)的电池单元中,每个Cu原子的反应电子数为1.8。另一方面,在使用样品2(即CuF2)的电池单元中,每个Cu原子的反应电子数为1.5个电子。由此,显示出样品1中含有的Cs可以使电池的反应电子数增大。可以推测这是因为样品1中含有的Cs成为基点而使脱氟化反应的反应速度提高,由此,过电位降低。
此外,在使用样品3(即(NH4)2CuF4)的电池单元中,每个Cu原子的反应电子数为1.0。
在进行放电试验后,使用XRD对样品1的相组成进行了分析。其结果是,已经确认Cs2CuF4变化为Cu。同样,放电试验后的样品3的相组成由(NH4)2CuF4变化为Cu。
再者,对使用样品1的电池单元进行充电试验,然后使用XRD而对样品1的相组成进行了分析。其结果是,已经确认Cu变化为Cs2CuF4。如上所述,样品1通过充放电而显示出如下的可逆反应。
[3-4-2.使用样品4~6的电池单元的放电试验]
对于使用样品4~6的电池单元,进行了放电试验。具体地说,采用由正极活性物质的理论容量算出的0.01C的速率,进行放电直至工作电极的电位达到200mV。
图4示出了使用样品4的电池单元的放电曲线。如图4所示,关于使用样品4的电池单元的放电曲线,首先,显示出平坦的第1平台电位,其次,显示出比第1平台电位稍低的平坦的第2平台电位,然后电位降低至200mV。可以推测第1平台电位维持样品4(即NaNiF3)的结构不变,并显示出Ni的价数从2价向低价变化的反应。可以推测第2平台电位显示出Ni离子被还原至Ni金属的转化反应。
在使用样品4(即NaNiF3)的电池单元中,每个Ni原子的反应电子数为1.6,初期放电容量为320mAh/g。可以认为该结果表明样品4中含有的Na促进脱氟化反应,从而使放电容量增大。
此外,使用样品5(即RbNiF3)的电池单元也显示放电反应,每个Ni原子的反应电子数为1.0。另外,使用样品6(即NaMnF3)的电池单元也显示放电反应,每个Mn原子的反应电子数为1.2。
[3-5.过渡金属的溶出]
在实施充放电试验后,用肉眼确认了使用样品1、2的电池单元的电解液的颜色。其结果是,使用样品1的电池单元的电解液保持无色透明不变,使用样品2的电池单元的电解液呈现淡蓝色。该结果表明样品1中含有的Cs可以抑制Cu2+向电解液中的溶出。
同样,在实施充放电试验后,使用样品3的电池单元的电解液保持无色透明不变。该结果表明样品3中含有的NH4 +可以抑制Cu2+向电解液中的溶出。
[3-6.补充]
使用无水氟化钾(KF)以代替CsF,除此以外,采用与样品1同样的方法,制作出K2CuF4作为样品7。在使用样品7的电池单元中,不能看到Cu2+向电解液的溶出。
正如在上述[1-2.设想的机理]中说明过的那样,高反应电子数、大放电容量和/或金属的溶出抑制可以推测通过使复合氟化物含有离子化倾向比较大的碱金属或者NH4而得到。因此,可以推测该效果并不局限于由上述实验示出的具体的组成,即使在例如[1-1.活性物质的组成]所记载的其它组成中也可以得到。
Claims (25)
1.一种氟化物离子二次电池用活性物质,其含有复合氟化物,所述复合氟化物含有碱金属或者NH4、过渡金属、和氟。
2.根据权利要求1所述的氟化物离子二次电池用活性物质,其中,所述复合氟化物是含有所述碱金属的金属复合氟化物。
3.根据权利要求2所述的氟化物离子二次电池用活性物质,其中,所述碱金属为选自Na、K、Rb以及Cs之中的至少1种。
4.根据权利要求3所述的氟化物离子二次电池用活性物质,其中,所述碱金属为Na或者Cs。
5.根据权利要求1所述的氟化物离子二次电池用活性物质,其中,所述复合氟化物为含有NH4的无机复合氟化物。
6.根据权利要求1~5中任一项所述的氟化物离子二次电池用活性物质,其中,所述过渡金属为3d过渡金属。
7.根据权利要求6所述的氟化物离子二次电池用活性物质,其中,所述3d过渡金属为选自Mn、Fe、Co、Ni以及Cu之中的至少1种。
8.根据权利要求1~7中任一项所述的氟化物离子二次电池用活性物质,其中,所述复合氟化物用组成式AxMyFz来表示,在此,A为Na、K、Rb、Cs或者NH4,M为选自Mn、Fe、Co、Ni以及Cu之中的至少1种,1≤x≤2、1≤y≤2、且3<z<5。
9.根据权利要求8所述的氟化物离子二次电池用活性物质,其中,所述A为K、Cs或者NH4。
10.根据权利要求8或9所述的氟化物离子二次电池用活性物质,其中,所述M为Cu。
11.根据权利要求1~10中任一项所述的氟化物离子二次电池用活性物质,其中,所述活性物质除了所述复合氟化物以外,进一步含有与所述过渡金属同种的过渡金属的氟化物。
12.一种氟化物离子二次电池,其包括:
含有活性物质的正极、
负极、以及
具有氟化物离子传导性的电解质;
其中,所述活性物质含有复合氟化物,所述复合氟化物在满充电状态下,含有碱金属或者NH4、过渡金属、和氟。
13.根据权利要求12所述的氟化物离子二次电池,其中,所述复合氟化物是含有碱金属的金属复合氟化物。
14.根据权利要求13所述的氟化物离子二次电池,其中,所述碱金属为选自Na、K、Rb以及Cs之中的至少1种。
15.根据权利要求14所述的氟化物离子二次电池,其中,所述碱金属为Cs。
16.根据权利要求12所述的氟化物离子二次电池,其中,所述复合氟化物是含有NH4离子的无机复合氟化物。
17.根据权利要求12~16中任一项所述的氟化物离子二次电池,其中,所述过渡金属为3d过渡金属。
18.根据权利要求17所述的氟化物离子二次电池,其中,所述3d过渡金属为选自Mn、Fe、Co、Ni以及Cu之中的至少1种。
19.根据权利要求12~18中任一项所述的氟化物离子二次电池,其中,所述复合氟化物用组成式AxMyFz来表示,在此,A为Na、K、Rb、Cs或者NH4,M为选自Mn、Fe、Co、Ni以及Cu之中的至少1种,1≤x≤2、1≤y≤2、且3<z<5。
20.根据权利要求19所述的氟化物离子二次电池,其中,所述A为K、Cs或者NH4。
21.根据权利要求19或20所述的氟化物离子二次电池,其中,所述M为Cu。
22.根据权利要求12~21中任一项所述的氟化物离子二次电池,其中,所述活性物质除了所述复合氟化物以外,进一步含有与所述过渡金属同种的过渡金属的氟化物。
23.根据权利要求12~22中任一项所述的氟化物离子二次电池,其中,所述复合氟化物伴随着充放电而溶解和析出。
24.根据权利要求12~23中任一项所述的氟化物离子二次电池,其中,所述电解质含有与所述复合氟化物中含有的所述碱金属同种的碱金属离子、或者铵离子。
25.根据权利要求24所述的氟化物离子二次电池,其中,所述电解质进一步含有与所述复合氟化物中含有的所述过渡金属同种的过渡金属的离子。
