内燃机的超轻提升阀
本申请相应于申请日为1993年4月1日,名称为发动机超轻阀,申请流水号为08/041,749的美国部分继续申请。
本发明一般涉及内燃机的轻重量提升阀,特别涉及超轻阀的温度控制。
内燃机提升阀常常这样制造,对高强度耐热金属的实体坯料进行机械加工,锻造或挤压,而后对其坯料进行精加工和/或磨削。在一些应用中,为了性能的需要,所提供的阀具有一中空杆,在制造过程中可以向上空杆加入例如钠的冷却剂。在现有技术中,这样的中空杆通过例如对杆钻孔的方法制造或通过芯子或移动芯挤压或锻造其杆而制造。美国专利申请流水号为041,749披露了一种提升阀,该提升阀包括一带有一末端和凸出部分的一体化杆件以及一最好与该杆件焊接起来的罩件。该杆件是杯形,它具有一限定阀凸出部分的扩张开口和一限定末端的封闭端。该杆件一直到末端都是中空的,其中杆件的壁断面在凸出区域较大,然后逐渐变小到在杆的其余长度上的基本均匀的壁厚,然后在末端壁厚又变大一些。杆件借助深拉深工艺制造,其中板材盘状的原坯料经过多次冷拉深步骤形成长的扩张杯件,扩张端和末端的外缘基本是原坯料的厚度,在中空杆上滚成一个或多个槽作为拉深工艺后的附加步骤。
加入冷却剂的中空排出阀是公知的,具有多个腔室的中空排出阀是为了加入多种冷却剂。深拉深工艺大大简化了中空阀中的多个腔室的形成。
由深拉深工艺制造阀是有效的,其阀结构包括多个壁,在各个壁之间的气隙限定了导热阻挡层。
根据下面的描述并参照附图本发明的其它目的和优点可显示出来。

参见图1,所示出的提升阀10包括一杆件12和一罩件14,该罩件14与杆件12以焊接或以其它方式连接。如申请流水号041,749的申请中详细描述的那样,杆件12由如图3A-3D所示的冷冲压工艺制成,其中杆的形成是用盘形毛坯12a通过一系列的拉深工序而完成,冲头或芯子16b-16d与支承在冲模18b-18d中的坯料配合作用,把坯料通过12b-12d表示的不同阶段变形成接近于图1所示的成品形状,而后用附加的拉深步骤获得成品形状。参见图4和5,杆件12还可以经过这样一个步骤,即作为冷冲压工艺的一部分加工出一保持槽20,在该步骤中,早先成形的工件被传送到一工位,工件被接纳在两模件21和23之间,两模件用齿轮连接或用其它方式连接,如图5箭头所示以相反方向运动,以滚压在它们之间的工件。为了形成槽20,模件21上具有形成在其上的滚花或高摩擦表面25以便夹紧工件,模件23具有一斜坡形状的突出部分27使工件材料变形制成保持槽。也可采用其它形成槽的方法,包括多个围绕工件的径向移动的环形模件。由于材料的位移,在滚槽步骤之后,要进行确保末端形状以及获得杆部分成品尺寸的最后步骤。在此只示出了一个槽,然而针对某种发动机设计的需要或为了提供附加的刚性可以加工出不同形状的多个槽。由上述工艺形成的成品杆件12的特点在于,具有一体性的末端并且在杆的直线部分的整个长度上具有很薄的壁,而其中分别在凸起和末端区域的厚度基本为图3A中原金属板材12a的厚度。加上罩件14形成的阀结构与现有技术的重量轻的阀相比其重量更轻且具有大的内部容积。为了比较,在图2中示了了现有技术的重量轻的中空阀10的一个典型例子。
图6示出了一个中空阀10a的实施例,它利用深拉深工艺形成薄壁的重量很轻的结构。在该实施例中,该杆部分12a由两个部件制成,即一个包括凸起区域的第一薄壁圆筒件26和一个在其上加工出保持槽20的第二薄壁圆筒件28,第一圆筒件最好通过图3A-3D所示的深拉深工艺制成,它具有一个与第二圆筒件28配合的缩径区域30,两部件最好通过焊接而连接,如图1所示结构,加上罩件14形成完整的阀。该两件杆结构提供了许多所需的特性,该阀组件具有一可部分注入例如钠钾的第一冷却剂的第一腔室32和可部分注入例如水的第二冷却剂的第二腔室34,第一冷却剂用于冷却承受很高温度的排出阀的头部分,而第二冷却剂用于冷却温度相对低的杆部分。
图6所示的两件式杆结构的另一优点是阀的末端和凸起端可以使用不同的材料,据此,要求耐高温腐蚀的凸起端可以采用耐高温腐蚀材料例如不锈钢305,而在末端采用可硬化合金例如碳钢,因为在该末端耐磨和刚性是重要的,而耐热和耐腐蚀并不重要。该结构的另一优点是与单件杆件相比可以制造较长的阀杆,因为坯料能拉深多长是有一定限度的。
图7所示的实施例相对图6实施例具有变型的多腔室。在该实施例中,成品阀结构10b与图1实施例基本相同,采用了如图1实施例的单件式杆部分12b,但在杆被深拉深后在杆中插入一堵塞件36,最好再通过用类似于图4和5所示的工艺加工出保持槽20那样滚出一个或多个的槽38而将其定位。堵塞件也可以通过其它的方法例如焊接而被定位,对堵塞件的关键要求仅是与杆的内表面形成密封并可与阀所承受的温度相适应。在所示的优选实施例中,堵塞件是铝的,并做成插入前的形状,在本实施例中,在插入堵塞件之前将第二冷却剂注入第二腔室40,而在插入并固定堵塞件之后把第一冷却剂注入第一腔室42。
图8所示实施例提供一个由深拉深工艺制成的薄壁中空内件44和薄壁中空外件46组成的阀10c,内件44包括一杆部分12c和一个罩件14最好焊接于其上的凸起部分24a。外件46包括一杆部分12d,一凸起部分24b和一个包括有保持槽20的末端部分。在该实施例中,内件和外件44和46做成在凸出区域形成一气隙48,该气隙优选为0.25mm至1.0mm,用于在两件之间提供一导热阻挡层。在该优选实施例中,在邻近内件封闭端50或在内件封闭端50处,内件44和外件46形成密封,凸出部分24a和24b的外缘也可以在焊接罩件14过程中被密封。
在所有所述实施例中,各深拉深件的壁厚根据阀的总体尺寸和所应用的发动机的类型而变化。用于客机发动机的如图1所示阀的主要部分的尺寸如下:
头部外径:28mm
杆外径:6mm
杆内径:5mm
最小壁厚:0.5mm
净重:17g

Claims (9)

1.一种内燃机的超轻提升阀(10a),包括杆部分(12a)、罩部分(14)、末端部分和扩张的凸出部分,该凸出部分限定了所述杆部分和罩部分之间的过渡区域,其特征在于,所述杆部分,末端部分和凸出部分由互相配合的第一薄壁圆筒件(26)和第二薄壁圆筒件(28)组成,所述各薄壁圆筒件的一端敞开而另一端封闭并沿包括封闭端的圆筒件全长上具有薄的壁;所述第一圆筒件形成所述凸出部分和所述杆部分的一部分并在邻近其封闭端具有缩径(30)区域;所述第二圆筒件容纳所述第一圆筒件并形成所述杆部分的其余部分和所述末端部分;所述第一和第二圆筒件限定了在所述提升阀内的第一腔室(32)和第二腔室(34)。
2.如权利要求1所述的阀,其特征在于,它包括在所述第二圆筒件邻近于封闭端处形成的一个或多个槽(20)。
3.一种内燃机的超轻提升阀(10b),包括杆部分(10b),罩部分(14)、末端部分和扩张的凸出部分,该凸出部分限定了所述杆部分和所述罩部分之间的过渡区域;所述罩部分由固定到所述凸出部分上的盘状罩件限定,而所述杆部分,末端部分和所述凸出部分由一件式薄壁圆筒件形成,该圆筒件在凸出端是敝开的而在末端是封闭的,杆部分的薄壁沿所述杆部分的全长延伸直到所述杆部分和所述末端部分相交处;其特征在于,一个堵塞件(36)被容纳在所述杆部分中,所述堵塞件限定了在所述提升阀内部的第一腔室(42)和第二腔室(40)。
4.如权利要求3所述的阀,其特征在于,所述堵塞件通过在容纳所述堵塞件的区域向内弯曲所述杆部分而在所述杆部分内定位。
5.如权利要求3或4所述的阀,其特征在于,它还包括在的述杆部分邻近其末端处形成的一个或多个槽(20)。
6.一种内燃机的超轻提升阀(10c),包括一薄壁中空外件(46)和一被套在所述外件中的薄壁中空内件(44),所述的每个件皆具有扩张的开口端(24a,24b),长的圆筒形中间部分(12c,12d)和一封闭的末端;所述阀还包括一固定到所述外件上的罩件(14),其特征在于,所述内件与所述外件密封接合,但所述内件外表面的至少一部分与所述外件的内表面有间距。
7.如权利要求6所述的阀,其特征在于,所述内件和外件(44,46)的每一个由一件薄壁圆筒件制成,该圆筒件在扩张端敝开而在末端封闭,所述杆部分的薄壁沿所述杆部分的全长延伸到杆部分与末端部分相交处。
