Description

本发明涉及一种在溶剂和催化剂的存在下通过氢和氧的直接反应来获得过氧化氢的方法,并且涉及用于所述方法的催化剂以及催化剂载体。
过氧化氢是非常重要的商业产品,被广泛用作纺织工业或造纸工业中的漂白剂,化学工业中以及过氧化物化合物生产反应(过硼酸钠、过碳酸钠、金属过氧化物或过羧酸)、氧化反应(氧化胺制造)、环氧化反应和羟基化反应(增塑剂和稳定剂制造)中的消毒剂和基本产品。将其用于半导体工业中的表面清洁,用于铜、黄铜、和其他铜合金表面的化学抛光,用于电子电路雕刻等。
目前用于生产过氧化氢的使用的最多的工业方法是烷基蒽氢醌的自氧化法。这种由许多还原、氧化、萃取、纯化和浓缩阶段组成的方法是非常复杂的,因此导致相当高的投资和可变成本。
对于这种方法的一种非常有吸引力的替代方案是直接通过使氢和氧在来自铂族的金属催化剂的存在下反应来生产过氧化氢。然而,在这些方法中,为了获得高浓度的过氧化氢在反应介质中需要H+和Br-离子的存在。这些离子是从强酸(如硫酸、磷酸、盐酸或硝酸)以及无机溴化物获得的。但是使用具有高酸浓度的溶液进行工作要求使用特殊设备来抵抗腐蚀。除以上之外,酸溶液和卤代离子的存在有利于这些活性金属(铂族)的溶解,这首先导致催化剂失活,并且由于溶解的金属的浓度非常低,其回收变得难以实施。
为了避免这些缺点,已经提出了在反应介质中不存在卤素离子和/或酸的多种替代方法。
在US 2008/299034中,描述了基于接枝有对甲苯磺酸基团的二氧化硅的催化剂用于由氢和氧直接合成H2O2。这些催化剂示出良好的活性和高的初始选择性;然而,这种选择性是不稳定的并且在H2O2浓度增加时降低。这种选择性在产生+/-10%Wt H2O2的测试期间以在60%与50%之间的平均值发展。
使用在WO 2013/010835中描述的基于接枝有酸和溴代基团的二氧化硅的催化剂观察到相同的趋势。在此,活性和初始选择性也是良好的,但该选择性是相当不稳定的并且在过氧化氢浓度增加时有所降低。
被开发用来增强选择性的方法是如在WO 2013/037697中描述的催化剂的部分还原。然而,获得良好比率的离子的Pd/PdO是真实的挑战。
在此开发的创新的解决方案是通过共价键合在载体上引入直链疏水基团。这种基团使得催化剂表面疏水并且不希望受理论的束缚,我们认为这减小了过氧化氢的过度氢化,同时为该催化剂提供了更好并且更稳定的选择性,甚至在高的过氧化氢浓度下。
在此方面值得注意的是,在使表面疏水的想法本身不是新的:参见即“关于官能化的商业二氧化硅的硅烷化在过氧化氢的直接合成中所起到的消极作用的一些见解(Some insights on the negative effect played by silylation offunctionalized commercial silica in the direct synthesis of hydrogen peroxide)”今日催化(CatalysisToday),第158卷,第1-2期,2010年12月5日,第97-102页。然而,在这篇文章中,使用支链的疏水基团,这些基团在某种程度上空间地阻碍催化剂表面。此外,使用有机氟化的化合物,这些化合物可以与催化剂表面上的贵金属相互作用。最后,将这些疏水基团接枝到已经带有酸官能团的载体的表面上,使得这些与这些疏水基团前体反应并且酸度损失或至少强烈削弱。
还值得注意的是,一些可商购的官能化的硅胶,即以商标来自硅环(SiliCycle)公司,确实包含酸官能团像羧酸、丙基磺酸和4-甲基苯磺酸(tosic acid),以及疏水基团像TMS或三甲基甲硅烷基(用来封端硅胶的残余OH基团)二者以便使其与包括甲醇的极性溶剂更加相容。
现在我们已经发现,倘若使用直链的疏水基团,可以获得在选择性上的增强。这种创新的解决方案可以被应用到仅含有酸基团的催化剂载体以及含有酸和卤代的(如溴代的)基团二者的催化剂载体上。在第一种情况下,所开发的催化剂载体是双官能化的载体;在第二种情况下,它是三官能化的载体。
因此,本发明涉及一种催化剂载体,这种催化剂载体包含同时用至少一种酸基团和至少一种直链的疏水基团官能化的材料。具体地,本发明涉及一种用于直接合成过氧化氢的催化剂载体,以及一种包括催化剂和根据本发明的催化剂载体的负载型催化剂。本发明还针对一种用于生产过氧化氢的方法,该方法包括:在反应器中,使氢和氧在根据本发明的负载型催化剂的存在下,任选添加一种惰性气体,进行反应。
表述“催化剂载体”旨在表示将催化剂固定到其上的材料,通常是具有高比表面积的固体,并且这种催化剂载体可以是惰性的或参与催化反应。
表述“用...官能化的”旨在表示在这种材料与至少一种酸基团和至少一种直链疏水基团之间的共价键。由于直链疏水基团共价键合到该催化剂载体的材料上,所述材料的表面变得疏水,如以上所解释的,这可能减少过氧化氢的过度氢化,同时对该催化剂提供更好并且更稳定的选择性,甚至在高的过氧化氢浓度下。在另一方面,由于酸基团以及最终地卤代基团共价键合到该催化剂载体的材料上,避免了在过氧化氢合成过程中这些官能团在液相中的任何浸出。
根据本发明,借助于带有相应的官能团的官能化的硅烷分子引入这些官能团。通过“硅烷”是指具有附接到硅原子上的四个取代基的单体硅化学品。根据本发明,这些硅烷分子的Si原子具有3个已经与该材料的表面反应以便在该载体上提供这些硅烷分子的接枝的取代基;以及第四取代基,该取代基是有机取代基,该有机取代基带有该酸基团或者是该直链疏水基团。
作为酸基团,可以例示磺酸、膦酸、羧酸和二羧酸基团,如优选的对甲苯磺酸(或4-甲基苯磺酸)基团。
通过“直链疏水基团”是指被非极性原子(典型地仅氢)取代的直链C-C链。作为直链疏水基团,优选烷烃。这些烷烃可以含有从1至20个C原子、优选从1至18个C原子、更优选从2至10个C原子。丁基或辛基是优选的。
当该材料还接枝有卤代基团时,所述基团优选地是卤代苯基或卤代丙基、特别地溴代苯基或溴代丙基,后者是优选的。
优选地,起始硅烷分子(即,在它们被接枝在材料上之前)的Si原子带有3个取代基,这些取代基选自卤素原子(优选Cl)和甲氧基。
在一个实施例中,用作载体的经同时官能化的材料可以是有机树脂。优选地,在催化剂制备中使用的树脂是通过单体的均聚反应或两种或更多种单体的共聚反应生产的。适合作为本发明中的载体的树脂的实例包括烯烃聚合物(如苯乙烯聚合物、丙烯酸聚合物、甲基丙烯酸聚合物)、它们与二乙烯苯的共聚物、以及其混合物,最优选苯乙烯-二乙烯苯共聚物。这些树脂优选是用至少一种酸基团如磺酸、羧酸、二羧酸等官能化的(柯克-奥斯莫化工技术百科全书(Encyclopedia of Chemical Technology Kirk Othmer)第三版,第13卷,第678-705页,Wiley-Interscience(威利-国际科学),John Wiley and Sons(约翰威立国际出版公司),1981)。此外,在本发明中使用的树脂可以具有无机部分,例如,沉积在无机固体上的树脂。溴代的苯乙烯-二乙烯苯共聚物是优选的用作根据本发明的此实施例的催化剂载体的吸附树脂,并且具有起离子交换基作用的磺酸基团的溴代的苯乙烯-二乙烯苯共聚物同样是优选的。
在另一个实施例中,根据本发明的催化剂载体包含用以上提及的基团官能化的无机固体。在大多数情况下是无机氧化物的这些无机固体通常具有大的比表面积。这个比表面积是通过ISO 9277:2010标准方法确定的。通常,该比表面积是等于或大于20m2/g,并且尤其是等于或大于100m2/g。这些无机固体经常具有至少0.1mL/g,例如至少0.3mL/g,尤其是至少0.4mL/g的孔体积(通过ISO 15901-2:2006标准方法确定的)。该孔体积是通常最多3mL/g,最经常是最多2mL/g,例如最多1.5mL/g。0.1-3mL/g的孔体积是合适的,并且0.4-3mL/g的那些是优选的。
用于本发明的最适当的无机固体是根据IUPAC的元素的元素周期表的第2-14族的元素的氧化物。最多使用的氧化物可以选自下组,该组包括:SiO2、Al2O3、沸石、B2O3、GeO2、ZrO2、TiO2、MgO、CeO2、ZrO2、Nb2O5、Ta2O5以及其任何混合物。
优选地,该官能化的材料是选自二氧化硅、氧化铝、铝硅酸盐、和钛硅酸盐的金属氧化物。
在本发明中最优选的无机材料是氧化硅(也称二氧化硅)或其与其他无机氧化物的混合物。这些材料可能实质上具有无定形结构(像硅胶),或可能包含有序中孔结构(例如像除其他之外包括MCM-41、MCM-48、SBA-15的类型的)或晶体结构(像沸石)。这些用酸基团官能化的无机材料是可商购的并且以其作为HPLC柱的固定相的用途众所周知。
将官能团结合到本发明的无机材料中,键合到它们的表面上。可以将这些基团或者在上述材料的制备过程中或在其制备之后的过程中结合,后者是优选的。将酸基团(例如对甲苯磺酸或4-甲基苯磺酸基团)、直链疏水基团以及最终地卤代基团(例如溴代苯基或溴代丙基的一部分)共价键合到这种无机固体(尤其是氧化物)的表面上,例如通过硅羟基官能团键合到二氧化硅表面上。
如以上所解释的,重要的是,合成催化剂载体的方式允许所有官能团(酸基团、直链疏水基团和最终地卤代基团)存在于其表面上。因此,在优选实施例中,根据本发明的催化剂载体通过以下方式合成:在该材料上首先接枝这些直链疏水基团和这些卤素基团(该情况是)并且仅随后接枝这些酸基团以便确保它们仍存在于该载体上。优选地,这些酸基团通过随后在相应的酸中水解的其前体,如盐(如氯化物)获得。在优选的实施例中,该载体是二氧化硅并且将这些官能团接枝在存在于其表面上的硅羟基官能团上。优选地,在这个实施例中,经由带有相应官能团的官能化的氯硅烷、或就关注的卤代基团而言经由甲氧基硅烷引入所有官能团。
在本发明的优选的实施例中,该催化剂载体包含接枝有丁基和4-甲基苯磺酸基团并且还优选地接枝有丙基溴基团的二氧化硅。甚至更优选地,其残余OH基团(即未通过接枝反应的硅羟基)的至少一部分,如果有的话,用支链分子像TMSCl(三甲基甲硅烷基氯化物或三甲基氯硅烷)封端。
本发明还涉及负载在同时用酸基团和直链疏水基团官能化的材料上的催化剂,这种催化剂包含选自周期表第7至11族的元素或它们中的至少两种的组合。这种元素优选选自以下金属的组,该组由以下各项组成:钯、铂、银、金、铑、铱、钌、锇、以及其混合物。最优选的金属是钯,任选与所列举的另一种元素组合,即钯合金。负载的金属的量可以在宽范围内变化,但是相对于载体重量优选包括在按重量计0.001%和10%之间,更优选在按重量计0.1%和5%之间。可以使用任何已知的负载型金属催化剂的制备技术,例如浸渍、吸附、离子交换等,来进行金属向载体的添加。为了将该金属加入到该载体中,有可能使用除这种金属之外的在所使用的溶剂中是可溶的有待加入的金属的任何种类的无机或有机盐。合适的盐是,例如,乙酸盐、硝酸盐、卤化物、草酸盐、等。
在最后一个实施例中,提供了一种用于生产过氧化氢的方法,该方法包括:在反应器中,使氢和氧在根据本发明的负载型催化剂的存在下,任选地添加惰性气体,进行反应。本发明的方法可以以连续、半连续、或不连续的方式通过常规方法,例如在搅拌槽反应器中(其中催化剂粒子处于悬浮状态)、在篮型搅拌槽反应器、滴流床中等进行。一旦反应已经达到所希望的转化水平,可以通过不同的已知方法将催化剂分离,例如像,通过过滤,如果使用呈悬浮液的催化剂的话,这将提供其以后再利用的可能性。在这种情况下,所使用的催化剂的量是获得关于溶剂按重量计0.01%至15%、并且优选是按重量计0.1%至10%的H2O2浓度必需的量。
在本发明的方法中,在反应器中使氢和氧(如纯化的氧或空气)在液体介质的存在下于催化剂上连续反应以生成过氧化氢液体溶液。过氧化氢的形成通过在溶剂内在催化剂的存在下以及任选地添加惰性气体,在氢与氧之间的直接反应来进行。氮、二氧化碳、氦、氩、等可以作为惰性气体使用。工作压力通常高于大气压,并且优选在1和30MPa之间。在氢和氧之间的摩尔比范围从1/1至1/100。在与反应介质接触的气相中的氢浓度应当优选是低于4.16%摩尔,以保持该操作在氢和氧混合物的爆炸极限之外。
氧与氢的反应是在范围从-10℃至100℃、优选从0℃至75℃、更优选从0℃至50℃的温度下进行的。
这种液体介质可以是水,或者它可以是合适的有机溶剂,如醇或其混合物。合适的有机溶剂可以包括多种醇、芳香族化合物、和酯,或在反应条件下是惰性的任何其他有机化合物。溶剂优选地是水溶性醇如甲醇、乙醇、正丙醇、异丙醇、叔丁醇、异丁醇、以及它们的混合物。用甲醇已经获得了良好的结果。
在特定的实施例中,可以有利的是,将HBr加入到该溶剂中,如果在该载体表面上不存在接枝的卤代基团。
在本发明中,还可以向反应介质添加过氧化氢稳定剂。可以提及的过氧化氢稳定剂中的一些是无机酸如:磷酸、硫酸、硝酸等;有机酸如:氨基亚甲基磷酸等;氨基酸如:亮氨酸等;磷酸盐如:焦磷酸钠等;螫合剂如:EDTA等;张力活性剂如:烷苄基磺酸盐等。这些稳定剂可以单独地或以它们中几种的组合来使用。在本发明中优选的稳定剂是氨基亚甲基磷酸、1-羟乙烯-1,1-二磷酸、乙二胺-四亚甲基磷酸、这些化合物的钠盐、以及焦磷酸钠。稳定剂浓度取决于稳定剂的类型和过氧化氢的浓度。然而,优选保持稳定剂的浓度足够低以防止催化剂中的金属溶解和/或所使用的反应器的腐蚀。总体上,所添加的稳定剂的量是相对于溶剂少于5000ppm,并且优选少于500ppm。
若通过援引方式并入本申请的任何专利、专利申请以及公开物的披露内容与本申请的描述相冲突到了可能导致术语不清楚的程度,则本说明应该优先。
现在将以非限制的方式通过以下实例说明本发明。
实例1:催化剂载体的合成
使用以下方法合成用于催化剂1至8(这些催化剂是根据本发明的)以及催化剂X和Y(这些催化剂不是根据本发明的)的催化剂载体:
催化剂1:载体制备
C1/4-甲基苯磺酸(47%C1)

催化剂2:载体制备
C4/4-甲基苯磺酸(46%C4)
在配备有机械搅拌器并且装配有迪安-斯达克(Dean-Stark)冷凝器的500mL三颈圆底烧瓶中,在氩气氛中将硅胶(50g)放置在甲苯(250mL)中。借助该迪安-斯达克回流该混合物以去除50mL的甲苯/水。将该反应冷却至室温并且将吡嗪(2.97g)和正丁基三氯硅烷(4.48g)加入到该混合物中。在氩气氛中在60℃下搅拌该反应16h。然后将该二氧化硅在布氏漏斗上过滤并且用甲醇、甲苯以及第二份的甲醇洗涤。将该凝胶放在甲醇和水的8/2混合物(按体积计)(300mL)中并且将该混合物在室温下搅拌1h。将该凝胶在布氏漏斗上过滤,用甲醇洗涤,并且在真空中在室温下干燥持续16h并且在65℃下持续1h以便产生呈白色固体的C4凝胶(Wt%C=2.69)。

根据用于催化剂2载体的程序制备催化剂3载体。在C8凝胶的制备中使用正辛基三氯硅烷(5.79g)。获得呈白色固体的C8/4-甲基苯磺酸凝胶(Wt%C=9.04;Wt%S=1.41)。
催化剂4:载体制备
C18/4-甲基苯磺酸(48%C18)
根据用于催化剂2载体的程序制备催化剂4载体。在C18凝胶的制备中使用正十八烷基三氯硅烷(9.07g)。获得呈白色固体的C18/4-甲基苯磺酸凝胶(Wt%C=12.55;Wt%S=1.20)。
催化剂5:载体制备
三官能化的接枝的8%的丙基溴-17%的C4/4-甲基苯磺酸

根据用于催化剂5载体的程序制备催化剂6载体。在该C4凝胶制备中使用12g的正丁基三氯硅烷。在该丙基溴/C4凝胶制备中使用0.72g的(3-溴丙基)-三甲氧基硅烷。获得呈白色固体的丙基溴/C4/4-甲基苯磺酸凝胶(Wt%C=9.06;Wt%S=1.99)。
催化剂7:载体制备
三官能化的接枝的12%的丙基溴-27%的C4/4-甲基苯磺酸
根据用于催化剂5载体的程序制备催化剂7载体。在该C4凝胶制备中使用6g的正丁基三氯硅烷。在该丙基溴/C4凝胶制备中使用1.22g的(3-溴丙基)-三甲氧基硅烷。获得呈白色固体的丙基溴/C4/4-甲基苯磺酸凝胶(Wt%C=8.70;Wt%S=2.30)。

实例2:催化剂制备
将20g的每种所选择的接枝的二氧化硅放入配备有机械搅拌器的1升的玻璃反应器中。将600ml的高等级丙酮加入该固体中。在室温下以约250rpm机械搅拌该悬浮液。在室温下将0.20g的乙酸钯溶解于100ml的高等级丙酮中(磁性搅拌器-400rpm)。将该Pd溶液缓慢加入到该悬浮液中(约1ml/5sec)。在室温下在24小时期间在机械搅拌下保持该悬浮液。在真空下过滤该悬浮液并且用100ml的高等级丙酮洗涤。将该固体在90℃下干燥24小时。
已经额外地在5小时期间在氢和氮的混合物中在150℃下还原催化剂X。
几种催化剂的特征在下面的表1中示出。
Pd浓度已通过ICP-OES(电感耦合等离子体原子发射光谱法)确定。在通过Wurzschmitt消解(digestion)的样品的矿化后S和Br浓度已经通过离子色谱法确定。

实例3:过氧化氢的直接合成
在HC-22/250cc反应器中,引入甲醇(150g)和催化剂(3.0g)。最终,加入一些HBr(10μl的12%Wt水溶液)。将该反应器冷却至5℃并且将工作压力设置在50巴(通过引入氮气获得)。在整个反应期间使用以下的气体混合物冲洗该反应器:氢气(3.6%摩尔)/氧气(55.0%摩尔)/氮气(41.4%摩尔)。总流量是2708mlN/min。当从该反应器出来的气相稳定(通过GC(气相色谱)在线测量的)时,启动该机械搅拌器并且将其设定为1200rpm。每10分钟GC在线分析从该反应器出来的气相的组成。取出液体样品以测量其过氧化氢和水的浓度。过氧化氢浓度通过用硫酸铈的氧化还原滴定进行测量,并且水浓度根据卡尔-费歇尔(Karl-Fisher)法测量。

Claims (15)
1.一种催化剂载体,包含用至少一种酸基团和至少一种直链疏水基团官能化的材料,其中这些官能团是硅烷分子的一部分,所述硅烷分子的Si原子具有3个已经与该材料的表面反应以便在该材料上提供这些硅烷分子的接枝的取代基,第四取代基是有机取代基,该有机取代基带有该酸基团,或者是该直链疏水基团。
2.根据权利要求1所述的催化剂载体,其中该酸基团选自磺酸、膦酸、羧酸和二羧酸基团。
3.根据权利要求2所述的催化剂载体,其中该酸基团是对甲苯磺酸(又称为4-甲基苯磺酸)。
4.根据权利要求1-3中任一项所述的催化剂载体,其中该直链疏水基团为具有从1至20个C原子的烷烃,优选丁基或辛基。
5.根据权利要求1-4中任一项所述的催化剂载体,其中该材料还接枝有卤代基团,所述基团优选是卤代苯基或卤代丙基,特别是溴代苯基或溴代丙基,后者是优选的,其中该卤代基团是硅烷分子的一部分,该硅烷分子的Si原子具有3个已经与该材料的表面反应以便在该材料上提供该硅烷分子的接枝的取代基以及为该卤代基团的第四取代基。
6.根据权利要求1-5中任一项所述的催化剂载体,其中起始硅烷分子的Si原子带有3个取代基,这些取代基选自卤素原子(优选CI)和甲氧基。
7.根据权利要求1-6中任一项所述的催化剂载体,其中该官能化的材料是优选地选自二氧化硅、氧化铝、铝硅酸盐、和钛硅酸盐的金属氧化物。
8.根据权利要求7所述的催化剂载体,其中该官能化的材料是氧化硅(又称为二氧化硅)。
9.根据权利要求8所述的催化剂载体,其中该二氧化硅接枝有丁基和4-甲基苯磺酸基团并且优选地还接枝有丙基溴基团,其残余OH基团,如果有的话,用支链分子像TMSC1(或三甲基甲硅烷基氯化物)封端。
10.一种负载在根据权利要求1-7中任一项所述的催化剂载体上的催化剂,该催化剂包含选自周期表第7至11族的元素或它们中的至少两种的组合。
11.根据权利要求10所述的催化剂,其中该元素是金属,并且优选地包含与另一种贵金属熔合成合金的钯或Pd。
12.根据权利要求11所述的催化剂,其中,相对于该载体的重量,所负载的金属的量包括在按重量计0.001%与10%之间。
13.一种用于产生过氧化氢的方法,该方法包括在根据权利要求10-12中任一项所述的负载型催化剂的存在下使氢和氧反应。
14.根据权利要求13所述的方法,其中所使用的催化剂的量是获得关于溶剂按重量计0.01%至15%的H2O2浓度必需的量。
15.根据权利要求13或14所述的方法,其中氧与氢的反应是在范围从0℃至50℃的温度下进行。
