Abstract

一种排气消音器及其制造方法。排气管由可径 向渗透气体的内管、外壳和外壳内的矿物棉一类消音 材料组成。内管由预制孔的片材制成,基本为圆柱形 的环,这些环轴向具有外凹的截面和不同长度的环 缘,轴向紧挨着放置,并且一环的较长的环缘套在相 邻环较短的环缘上而成球窝式的柔性连接。内管可 以用自动设备快速合理地制成所要求的长度,并可按 要求的形状弯曲而不会显著地改变其轴向长度。

Description

本发明涉及由径向可渗透气体的内管,外壳和位于内管和外壳之间的消音材料,象矿物棉、金属棉,例如钢棉或其它类似材料组成的排气消音器。
本发明还涉及这种排气管,特别是其内管的制造方法。
瑞士专利NO.73  11  076-9、NO.85  00  785-4和英国专利NO.1  191  125代表现有技术。
现有技术的基本思想是生产一种可弯的排气消音器,但以前的这种设计无论就其制造而论还是就其需按照专门型号的汽车使排气管形成所要求的形状而论,都存在一些缺点。
在这里要说明的是,尽管该排气管特别适用于汽车,但用于其它方面是完全行得通的,例如通风装置或其它流体通道装置。
本发明的一个目的是提供一种新的排气消音器和其一种新的制造方法,也提供一种快速简易制造排气管的方法,该排气管不仅能按要求的形状弯曲,而且,当弯曲时能基本上保持其轴向长度和截面形状。本发明的其它目的和优点将在下面的描述中揭示出来,或者说当本领域的技术人员阅读本说明之后,本发明的其它目的和优点将是显而易见的。
本发明推荐的排气消音器包括径向可渗透气体的内管,外壳以及在内管和外壳之间安装的消音材料。本发明的排气管的特征在于内管是由片材多孔环轴向连接在一起形成,上述环的轴向截面呈外凹截面,带有不同长度的横截面边缘,各环相互挠性连接,一个环的较长环缘套在相邻环的较短的环缘上。各段内管的轴向长度最好比它的直径小。
各段内管最好是用加压的方法连接在一起,形成球窝式连接。
外壳最好包括可硬化的材料,而且硬化前容易变形。外壳可至少包括局部重叠地螺旋式缠绕起来的一层带状材料,例如金属带状材料,在每一圈重叠区域之间有可硬化的粘合剂。排气管安装在汽车上之后,外壳可以通过排出的废气热而固化。或者,安排使用一种可硬化的材料,其由于空气湿度或类似因素也可固化,在这种情况下,在排气管制造完之后,应立即用一密封套套住,以防止硬化材料过早硬化。
排气消音器的制造方法包括生产径向可渗透气体的内管,给内管提供外壳以及在内管和外壳之间提供消音材料。这种方法的特征实际上在于,内管是由片材,例如金属片材,制成的多孔的大致的圆形环,上述环的轴向截面是外凹的,带有不同长度的横截面边缘,各环轴向相邻地放置,并通过使一个环的较长环缘套着相邻环的较短的环缘而相互挠性地连接在一起。每节管的轴向长度最好小于它的直径。
每截管的这种截面结构及上述压缩是意欲产生球窝式连接。适当调节压缩程度将可在连接处提供一定的摩擦力,以便允许内管按要求的形状变形,因此排气管获得适合于安装的形状。该排气管安装简易并随后永久地固定。根据一最佳实施例,排气管是通过例如,一种可硬化材料而固化的,以便只有在排气管已安装在其应用的位置后,其最后的形状才被固定下来。可采用一般方式来硬化,即利用流经排气管的废气热,或利用围绕着安装的排气管周围的大气湿度。
现在将参考表示实施例的示意附图对本发明加以说明。

首先参阅图2,由该图可知,本发明的排气管包括径向可渗透气体的内管2,包围内管2的外壳4以及布于内管2和外壳4之间的消音材料3。
图1  里的内管2由金属片材制成的大致呈圆柱形环10组成。从轴向看,环具有一外凹的截面5,不同长度的环缘6、7。较大直径的环的一端按箭头套在相邻环的较小直径端。然后,大直径的环缘6按箭头12所指的方向径向向内压缩,装压在相邻环较小的环缘7上。重复这种操作,直到生产出要求长度的内管2。环缘6、7的尺寸及形状,使其受径向压力操作时,可形成球窝式连接,因此可允许相邻环10之间相互的角度调节,而不改变它们相互之间的轴向距离。另外,如图1所示,环10上还设有许多孔8。
再参考图2,排气管是这样生产的,在预制的内管2外部,提供消音材料3,例如一层矿物棉,钢棉或类似材料,并可能是连续不间断的,然后外加一外壳4。在所示的实施例中,外壳4由一薄的金属带状物41螺旋地缠绕而成,并在相邻圈间有重叠部分42,至少在带状物41的重叠部分提供可硬化的粘合剂43。粘合剂43可是热固型粘合剂。当将整个排气管按要求的形状弯曲并装在要求的位置上,例如汽车上以后,粘合剂便硬化,从而使外壳4以至整个排气管装置固结。
如果排气管使用在没有足够的热使粘合剂硬化的地方,则可以使用另一种受大气环境因素,例如,湿度影响而硬化的粘合剂。然而,在这种情况下,排气管在制造完后应立即用密封套套住,以防止过早硬化。

Claims (9)

1、一种排气消音器,它包括可径向渗透气体的内管(2),外壳(4)及在内管(2)和外壳(4)之间的消音材料,其特征在于:内管由片材制成的多孔环(10)轴向连接在一起形成,所述的环轴向有外凹的截面(5),和不同长度的环缘(6,7),环(10)挠性地相互连接,一个环的较长环缘(6)按箭头(12)所指的方向,压接在相邻环(10)的较短环缘(7)上。
2、按权利要求1所述的排气消音器,其特征在于:环(10)的轴向尺寸小于它的内径。
3、按权利要求1或2所述的排气消音器,其特征在于:所提供的环截面轮廓和环的连接压缩方式可在它们之间形成球窝式连接。
4、按权利要求1至3所述的排气消音器,其特征在于:外壳(4)包括可硬化材料(43)并在硬化前可变形。
5、按权利要求4所述的排气消音器,其特征在于:外壳(4)至少包括螺旋式地缠绕起来并具有局部重叠部分(42)的一层带状材料(41),在每圈重叠区域之间有可硬化的粘合剂(43)。
6、按权利要求4或5所述的排气消音器,其特征在于:外壳通过流经排气管的废气热而固化。
7、一种制造排气消音器的方法,其中,为可径向渗透气体的内管(2)提供了外壳(4),并在内管(2)和外壳(4)之间提供了消音材料,其特征在于:内管(2)是由片材制成的并有许多孔的,基本上呈圆柱形的环(10),所述的环在轴向具有外凹的截面(5),和不同长度的环缘(6,7),环(10)轴向相邻地放置,并通过将一个环(10)的较长环缘(6)压套在相邻环(10)的较小环缘(7)上而相互挠性地连接起来。
8、按权利要求7所述的方法,其特征在于:该环的形状和压制方式可以形成球窝式连接。
9、按权利要求7或8所述的方法,其特征在于:该外壳由一带状材料(41)螺施地缠绕组成并带有重叠部分(42),在重叠区域涂有可硬化的材料(43),一旦给予排气管所需要的形状以后,该粘合剂可以硬化以使排气管稳固。
