汽车车身涂料与外表装饰涂料之间的区别之一是耐久性。对于许多OEM车身涂层规格,预期涂层在佛罗里达州曝露5+年会保持外观和功能膜完整性。对于高质量外表装饰涂料,不需要关于曝露持续时间和曝露以后功能膜完整性的严格要求。例如,一些OEM车身涂层要求需要在佛罗里达州曝露1年以后至少约90%,在佛罗里达州曝露3年以后至少约80%,和在佛罗里达州曝露5年以后至少约65%的光泽保持力。对于外表装饰涂料,相关耐久性要求为在佛罗里达州曝露1年以后至少约80%,在佛罗里达州曝露3年以后至少约50%的光泽保持力,没有关于在佛罗里达州曝露5年以后的要求。

发明详述

可将本发明粉末涂料组合物应用于电涂层上以保护电涂层以防UV劣化。粉末涂料组合物可具有具有丘和谷的不均匀厚度,且在一些实施方案中,涂覆粉末涂料组合物可具有约35至约200μm或约50至约100μm的测量膜厚度(当在丘的顶部测量时)。在本发明的一些涂料组合物中,谷:丘厚度比为约1:3或约1:4至约1:2。在本发明范围内的测量膜厚度帮助防止UV光透过涂层的谷并达到下面电涂层。因此,粉末涂料组合物的厚度贡献于下面电涂层的稳定性。另外,可存在于粉末涂料组合物中的UV光稳定剂还贡献于下面电涂层的稳定性,但UV光稳定剂对粉末涂料组合物本身具有很少或不具有益处。

本发明粉末涂料组合物适于应用于基质,例如而不限于汽车车身。然而,也可将涂料组合物应用于碳、木、玻璃、聚合物、塑料和其它基质上。
上述粉末涂料组合物的应用可通过任何已知的技术实现,包括而不限于静电喷涂或流化床。
实施例

实施例1

Claims (13)
