Abstract
一种电气接线器(100′),包括多个置于绝缘外壳(20′)中的触头(10),用以端接各导线(1);以及多个在外壳(20′)上的导线固位槽(70,80),用以容纳和夹持各导线(1),每个槽(70,80)的两侧壁(74,84)上设有凸块(72a,72b,82a,82b),这些凸块彼此位于不同的深度处。
Description
本发明涉及电气接线器,更具体地说,涉及这类接线器上的导线夹持装置。
接线器已被广泛使用,以便方便地连接和断开大量的信号线。在多种接线器中,人们知道,可剥离绝缘层的接线器是用简单的加力方式将绝缘导线压入触头使绝缘层破坏而将绝缘导线的导体和触头进行电气连接的,这就无需剥去绝缘导线端部的绝缘层以便将其导体焊接或压接到所述触头上。
图4是这类传统的可剥离绝缘层的接线器的一个实例100的分解透视图。其中有多个触头10插在以予定间隔设在外壳20内的多个槽21中。虽然图4中未示出,实际上在外壳20的下侧面中也设有槽21,用以从下面容纳触头10。触头10的前部有配接部分11,以便同另一个可配接的接线器(未示出)的插头进行电气连接;而触头10的后部设有可剥离绝缘层连接(IDC)部分12,以便容纳绝缘导线1的1a部分(见图1),用以与绝缘导线1的导体2进行电气连接。
当绝缘导线1被压入IDC部分12的V型槽12a时,绝缘层3被切开,使之与导体2达到电气连接。在导线1的端部1a插入触头10的IDC部分12的同时,其1b部分也被压入外壳20内的导线固位槽22中,从而使绝缘导线1固定在接线器100中。
包含以上述方式连到触头10的绝缘导线1的外壳20与另一外壳30相连,然后,将该组件夹在上下盖40之间(图4仅示出下盖),再在其前端
盖上一金属盖50,就完成了可剥离绝缘层的接线器100的安装。
图5为外壳20中导线固位槽22的前视图,该图是从导线1的端部看图4所示可剥离绝缘层的接线器100而画出的。
由该图可见,在每个导线固位槽22的入口附近均设有凸块23,并使入口的宽度小于导线1的直径。通过较窄的入口将导线1压入各自的槽22中,使之夹持在凸块23的肩部23a下方的槽22内。
图6示出导线1在插入触头的IDC部分12和外壳20的导线固位槽22中之前的简化视图。由图可见,导线1被置于IDC部分12和导线固位槽22上方,然后用工具60将其插入IDC部分12和导线固位槽22中。插置工具60在对应IDC部分12和导线固位槽22的位置处设有槽61和62,以使导线1可在IDC部分12和导线固位槽22的两侧被向下推。
如前所述,导线1是插入和夹持在导线固位槽22之中的。然而,当用插置工具60将导线1插入导线固位槽22时,由于导线1挤压凸块(见图5),因此会迫使槽22的入口扩张,这势必会使外壳20后端部的中间和附近(图4中的右下部)向下变形,如箭头A所示。
如果发生这种变形,不仅导线固位槽22,而且触头10都会沿图6中箭头B所示的方向移动。这就可能发生如图6中虚线C所示的IDC部分移到插置工具60中的槽61之外的情况。这时,如果用插置工具60将导线1压下,则IDC部分12就会被插置工具60挤压,从而不能实现导线1的相应导体2和触头10之间的正常电气连接。
再有,由于导线固位槽22的扩宽还可能引起导线1和放在外壳20中的触头10的IDC部分12之间配位不准,这可能导致导线1叠置于触头10的IDC部分12的刀刃12b上(见图4),当压下导线1时,导体2会被刀刃12b割坏。
图7 示出另一种传统的导线固位槽22′的剖视图。
如图7所示,凸块24以一定斜度向下伸展,即不象图5中的凸块23
那样简单。这对解决上述问题可能是有效的,因为在导线插入槽22′期间,这种凸块24的形变抵消了扩展槽22′的力。
然而,为获得这类向下的凸块24的这种效果,凸块必须具有适当的长度,因而要求有较高的上部26以形成导线固位槽22′,这将使可剥离绝缘层的接线器体积过大。
对于紧凑的、具有大量的间隔很小的传输信号的触头的接线器,其需求量正日益增长。对这种结构,上部26的宽度必需很小,因而要加工这种向下倾斜的凸块就很困难。
鉴于上述诸问题,本发明的目的是要提供一种既没有这类变形又适于小型化的接线器。
根据本发明所提供的接线器,包括多个具有可剥离绝缘层的部分的触头,用以分别与各绝缘导线的导体端部相连接;还包括同样多的导线固位槽,以便将所述导线固定到接线器的外壳上。每个所述槽都包含位于两个相对壁上的彼此有不同深度位置的向内伸展的凸块。
图1 是根据本发明装置的一个实施例的可剥离绝缘层的接线器的触头、导线以及外壳一部分的透视图;

图3A和3B分别是本发明另一实施例的可剥离绝缘层的接线器的导线固位槽的平视图和前视图;

图1 本发明可剥离绝缘层的接线器100′一个实施例的外壳20′一部分和导线1以及触头10的透视图。外壳20′与图4中的外壳20相当,因而不再详述。
导线1在力的作用下被压入放在槽21′内的触头10的IDC部分12和导线固位槽70中。
图2 是图1所示导线固位槽70的前视图。
在每个固位槽70的两个侧壁74的不同深度位置上设有一对凸块72a和72b。当导线1挤压凸块72a和72b时,使导线固位槽70有扩张趋势。但是由于凸块72a和72b此时沿插入方向移动,从而将使槽70扩宽的力降至最小,因此有效地防止了类似所述传统外壳的槽22的变形问题。
另外,与图7中的导线固位槽22′相比较,导线固位槽70的形状较简单,从而可简化制造工艺。
图3A和3B为本发明接线器100′另一实施例的导线固位槽80的平视图和前视图。
设在导线固位槽80两个侧壁84不同深度上的凸块82a和82b彼此纵向错开,因此不仅能沿深度方向移动,而且能沿导线固位槽80的长度方向(图3A中的垂直方向)移动。由于这种特殊结构,使导线1插入时所产生的扩宽导线固位槽80的力能进一步分散,以防止外壳变形。
正如以上所详细描述的,本发明装置的可剥离绝缘层的接线器的特点是在每个导线固位槽两侧壁的不同深度位置上设置凸块,使导线插入导线固位槽时加宽各导线固位槽的力被有效地分散,从而最大限度地减小了外壳的变形,同时,简化了导线固位槽的结构,从而适于制成小型化的接线器。
Claims (2)
1、一种电气接线器(100′),具有一个绝缘的外壳(20′)和多个置于该外壳(20′)中的触头(10),该触头含有使各导线(1)分别端接的连接部分(12),所述外壳(20′)包括多个导线固位槽(70,80),用以容纳各导线(1),其特征在于:
在所述各导线固位槽(70,80)的相对侧壁(74,84)上设有向内伸展的凸块(72a,72b,82a,82b),而且在每个所述槽(70,80)中的各凸块(72a,72b,82a,82b)彼此处于不同的深度上。
2、根据权利要求1所述的接线器(100′),其特征在于,所述各凸块(82a,82b)彼此是纵向错开的。
