Abstract

Description
技术领域
本发明总地涉及一种用于电气端接和连接电信电缆的导线的组合式电信插头连接器,尤其涉及一种具有改进型的电缆导线插入和定位设计的组合式插头连接器。
背景技术
在电信行业中,与标准的组合式插座相配所需要的、外部结构大致相同的多种组合式插头已为人所知。组合式插头的尺寸相对较小,把电信电缆的各端头端接起来,其中各根导线非常靠近,这就引起了不同信号导线对之间的串话干扰。然而,随着数据传输速率要求的提高,在计算机网络中用组合式电信插头及其插座来连接的扭绞二股电缆,已有必要降低组合式电信连接器的各信号传输导线对之间的串话干扰。减小串话干扰的一种方法可通过交错排列各相邻的导线对的双线和减小并排间距来实现。
在将导线端接到组合式插头内的接触片之前,在相对于接触片排列各导线的顺序中,以及为了保持各导线在插头中的正确排列,由于插头和连接器的尺寸很小,需要对各根绝缘的导线小心操作。典型的作法是将八根互相绝缘的导线排列好并端接于插头内的八个接触片。使各导线以交错的关系分开而处于两个隔开的平面内,各导线定位成相邻导线间的平行并排长度为最小,以减小串话干扰,但这是很难装接的。所以,各根导线必须预先成形而后小心地插入到各导线槽中,或者先将各线初始定位在单个平面内而后用力压成交错的排列关系。
因此,在本技术领域内有必要对组合式插头连接器进行改进,使它容易进行端接,同时降低由连接器引起的各端接的导线对之间的串话干扰。
发明内容
本发明的一个目的是提供一种改进的组合式插头连接器,它可以减小端接在连接器内的各导线对之间的串话干扰。
本发明的另一个目的是提供一种改进的组合式插头连接器,它便于将各根导线插入成具有一种改进的互相关系。
为实现上述目的,本发明提供了一种用于端接多个导线对的多根导线的插头连接器,包括:一个具有一由上壁、下壁和两个相对的侧壁所构成的背后电缆插入口的连接器壳体;其特点在于,该插头连接器还包括:位于壳体内并成形为隔开的上下两层平面组的多个导线定位槽;设置在上壁上、并与多根导线的各导线分别对准的、用于将各导线定位在导线定位槽的上下两层平面组内的多个斜面。

具体实施方式
一种体现本发明之原理的组合式电信插头连接器在各附图中总地以标号10来标示。组合式插头10由热塑性材料制成,并设计成可供端接绞合成对电缆的多根绝缘导线。
通常,电缆中的各成对的绝缘信号导线是沿着它们的长度扭绞在一起的,以便减小各导线42之间的串话干扰,并且是封装在电缆40的护套44内。通常,剥去电缆40端部的护套44使之露出四对扭绞的导线。然后将这八根导线42以适当的颜色次序排列,并排着插入到如图1所示的壳体中去。连接器10也可用于端接非扭绞成对电缆,带状或任何其它电缆,这些电缆的各导线应已成形为或能够成形为平面排列的导线组。
带有卡舌30的组合式插头10成形为一个壳体,壳体有前表面20,以及一个由上壁12、第一和第二侧壁16和18、以及下壁14所形成的背后电缆插入槽口28,如图2和图3所示。如图4所示,槽口28连通于一组八个延伸至前表面20的导线定位槽22。导线定位槽22分成为上层槽24和下层槽26。从图2可以注意到,由于制造工艺上的限制,上层最左边的导线槽稍低一些。如图3、4、6以及7所示,电缆插入槽口28内设有多个整体成形的斜面34,36,其便于顺畅地接纳各导线并以最佳的两层间隔关系将各导线42精确地定位在其间。如图8和图9所示,当导线42插入足够长时,上斜面34使各导线42产生交错,半数导线向下弯入下层的导线定位槽内。设置下斜面36是为了能将任何偏离的导线42顺畅地引回到上层导线定位槽24内。
如图4所示,当将电缆40端接于连接器10时,剥了皮并排列好对准的导线42最初是插碰到内顶壁面12上,该壁面上有多个用来使导线42保持依序互相隔开的导槽32。进一步的插入可将导线42导上各斜面并导入对应的导线定位槽22中。如图8和图9所示,当导线42到达引导斜面34和36时,上斜面34使导线42交错地向下弯而进入导线定位槽22中的下层槽26内。在电缆40和导线42充分插入后,就可用多个通过多个对应的接触槽口48插入的接触刀片38将导线42端接好,并且推上壳体成形时预留的压紧舌46而将电缆40卡固在连接器内,如图11和图12所示。
应该注意到,槽口28应尽可能向连接器10内延伸,因为相邻的导线对的平行长度小一些可以减小串话干扰。但是,导线的剥皮端部必须保持有足够的长度以便具有足够的插入刚性。
在用于端接满足EIA/TIA(电子行业协会/通讯行业协会)要求的5类电缆的有护套和无护套的100欧姆电缆扭绞导线对时,已经发现,在插头连接器中形成的导线终端的最后错开布置能使由连接器引起的串活干扰降低一个量值,这一量值足以始终一贯地超过由EIA/TIA在技术规范SP-2840中规定的5类串话干扰性能,插头和电缆试验是用符合5类要求的TSB-67合格试验设备进行的,而插头自身的试验是按TSB-40端接元件要求进行的,同时提供了一种制造成本低且容易端接的连接器,端接时无需用一根单独的导线装入条,而仅仅把一组平面导线插入连接器并端接于插头连接器就可以了。
虽然已针对用在一种组合式插头连接器中描述了本发明,但应该理解,对于希望将大致处于同一平面内的一组导线初始定位在用于端接的连接器内的各种情况,本发明将可应用于任何型式的连接器,用以降低连接器内的串话干扰。
尽管已表示和描述了本发明的特定较佳实施例,但是很明显,本领域的熟练人员可以在不脱离本发明的教义的情况下、在其更广泛的各方面作出各种变化和变型。以上叙述和附图中展示的内容仅仅是为了说明,而不能看作是一种限制。在已有技术的基础上以正确的观点看待本发明,其实际的保护范围应由下列权利要求来限定。
Claims (9)
1.一种用于端接多个导线对的多根导线的插头连接器,包括:
一个具有一由上壁、下壁和两个相对的侧壁所构成的背后电缆插入口的连接器壳体;
其特征在于,所述插头连接器还包括:
位于壳体内并成形为隔开的上下两层平面组的多个导线定位槽;
设置在所述上壁上、并与多根导线的各导线分别对准的、用于将所述各导线定位在导线定位槽的上下两层平面组内的多个斜面。
2.如权利要求1所述的插头连接器,其特征在于,所述上斜面与各导线交错地对准。
3.如权利要求1所述的插头连接器,其特征在于,还进一步包括用于在插入过程中保持各导线分别对准进入各斜面的、形成在所述连接器的上壁的内表面上的导槽。
4.如权利要求1所述的插头连接器,其特征在于,所述下壁包括与上层平面组导线定位槽对准的各斜面。
5.一种用于端接多个导线对的多根导线的插头连接器,包括:
一个具有一由上壁、下壁和两个相对的侧壁构成的背后电缆插入口的连接器壳体;
其特征在于,所述插头连接器还包括:
位于壳体内并成形为隔开的上下两层平面组的多个导线定位槽;
与多根导线对准的、用于将各导线分别定位于两隔开的平面组导线定位槽内的多个斜面。
6.如权利要求5所述的插头连接器,其特征在于,所述斜面设置在上壁和下壁上。
7.如权利要求6所述的插头连接器,其特征在于,所述上斜面与各导线交错地对准。
8.如权利要求6所述的插头连接器,其特征在于,还进一步包括用于在插入过程中保持各导线分别对准进入各斜面的、形成在所述连接器的上壁的内表面上的导槽。
9.如权利要求6所述的插头连接器,其特征在于,所述下壁包括与上层平面组导线定位槽对准的各斜面。
