背景技术
由一般消费者使用的可回收设备的数量增长地很快。这些设备包括手机、PDA、mp3播放器、GPS设备、照相机、寻呼机、遥控器、无绳电话、计算器等。引入可回收设备的新技术和型号的快速步伐导致了许多消费者频繁升级或更换一个或多个可回收设备的情况。通常，消费者不会处置之前的可回收设备，而是仅仅停止使用设备，并开始使用新设备。这可能发生在几代这种设备上。

可以通过手机示例来说明与此现象相关联的一个特定问题。世界上有36亿多移动电话用户，并且每年有10％的增长率。随着具有更多功能的新型号以及新标准发展，手机更换率约为18个月。无线运营商还提供低于成本或免费的新电话，作为使顾客签订为期两年的有利服务合同的奖励，确保了旧移动电话的稳定积累。旧的移动电话和其它移动设备(寻呼机、PDA)对环境造成了日益严重的威胁。截至2007年，在美国有多于7亿5千万的移动电话等待被回收；或者放在抽屉中，或者已经在废物流中。今年将另外增加1亿5千多万左右，明年甚至更多。一旦处在废物流中，这些设备就可能向水源中泄漏铅、汞、镉、砷和其它有毒物质。市政当局经常焚化它们的废物，即刻将这些有毒元素排入空气中，而它们在雨水中返回地面。需要解决的问题是使公众简单方便地回收或转售它们的移动电话和其它可回收设备。移动电话未被回收或转售的两个原因是难以找到回收或转售设施，其次是有关移动电话上存储的信息的安全考虑。尽管此示例涉及移动电话，但同样的问题适用于所有可回收设备。
发明内容
本发明的系统使得人们能够安全地回收、捐赠、折价和/或出售诸如手机、MP3播放器等的便携式/移动电子设备、诸如计算机、打印机等的非便携式电子设备、以及公共可访问位置中的存在基于内容的数字媒体(例如CD、DVD或卡带、或诸如CD、DVD、蓝光等娱乐大容量存储物品上的游戏)的电子设备。在回收移动电话的实施方式中，移动电话所有者可以使用所描述的系统经由电子自助终端(kiosk)来提交他/她的移动电话以便回收，并以同样的方式获得补偿。可以经由现金、凭单、信用卡或借记卡或其它磁或电子交易方法来发放补偿。

具体实施方式
该系统为消费者和他人提供了在一站式环境下出售、回收或捐赠他们的可回收电子设备的路径。该系统设想了一种处于公共空间中、可以执行回收处理组合步骤的自助终端的网络，回收处理组合步骤包括对可回收电子设备进行接收、识别、视觉检查、电子测试、电子删除、质量分级、包装(袋)、加标签和清点(inventory)。系统然后可以确定对设备所有者的补偿形式。补偿可以是直接支付、信贷帐户、慈善机构捐赠、将来购买的打折优惠券等形式。设备所有者可以接受所提供的补偿，或撤销交易并取回设备。
在下面的描述中，参照移动电话给出一个实例。然而，应该理解，可以用任意数量的其它设备或产品(包括其它可回收设备)来实现系统，而不脱离系统的精神和范围。该系统适用于任意二手电子设备或其它消费型电子和电气设备。
图1示出了根据该系统的实施方式配置的回收自助终端100的部分示意前等距视图。此实施方式中的自助终端100具有诸如汽水机、硬币兑换机、罐回收机或其它自动售货机的自动售货机的典型大小和形状。
根据此实施方式的一方面，回收自助终端100包括可伸缩移动电话投入区106、账单和凭单接受器/分发器107、读卡器109、用于待翻新移动电话的移动电话收集器112、用于待回收移动电话的移动电话收集容器108(快速落下)、以及计算和通信设施(未示出)。来自或者去往远程计算机的连接可以是经由有线LAN、无线LAN、蜂窝或任何其它专有通信系统到诸如互联网的通信网络的单连接。自助终端100可以包括位于设备内的处理装置或计算机。它可以是运行诸如Linux或MAC OS的任意操作系统的标准PC或其它类型的嵌入式计算机。该系统可以包括将存储可运行应用程序、测试软件、数据库和操作回收自助终端所需的其它软件的存储设备，可以是标准硬盘驱动器。
通信系统可以是提供到互联网连接的有线以太网，或者其可以使用诸如GSM、CDMA、针对数据通信的3G和4G技术的无线调制解调器。该通信系统被无线数据通信领域的技术人员所熟知，并且市面上有售。
自助终端100还包括条形码读取器125、袋/包装分发器120、指纹读取器128和数字签名板130。投入区106还用作电话检查区。现在参照图6和7，检查区可以包括一个或多个照相机601-604、放大工具701(即放大镜)、条形码扫描器、计重秤、感温探测器、UV读取器/探测器等。
回收自助终端100还可以包括用户界面设备，例如触摸屏118。触摸屏108可以实现键盘、用户选择按钮115A-115D、软键等。触摸屏118可用于使得能够快速方便地访问回收自助终端100的各种特性和功能。显示屏118可以显示彩色、单色或“灰度”信息，并且可用于显示用户界面组成部分、广告或其它信息。回收自助终端100可接受/分发各种形式的支付，包括现金、信用卡、借记卡、芯片卡、来自自助终端的主机位置的礼品卡或其它礼品卡、以及其它磁条卡或电子支付方法。在回收自助终端100的一个实施方式中，可以包括手持话机(未示出)，使得顾客能够与在回收自助终端上做广告的产品的广告商、供应商进行通信，并且能够在使用回收自助终端100时获得帮助。在其它实施方式中，可以使用麦克风/扬声器结构。回收自助终端还可以包括用于在移动电话测试和其它服务期间使用的照相机。自助终端还可以使用同一或其它照相机来记录用户的图像，以符合二手经销商法规。自助终端还包括附有预先打印的条形码标签的可称重塑料袋供应单元120。自助终端100还包括条形码读取器125，其扫描条形码并将条形码与在自助终端处交易的电话关联起来。条形码读取器和/或UV检测器可以用于扫描识别条形码或其它形式的编码信息，以识别产品型号或产品编号。该系统可以使用条形码读取器来读取电池组内的条形码标识。UV可以用于读取诸如Apple和其它特定卖方使用的“隐形”条形码。机器的条形码读取器、照相机或UV用于识别产品型号ID、IMEI#和/或FCC ID。
此外，在检查处理之前或期间，可要求消费者预装袋、预装盒、或将条形码标签放在CE设备上。可指示消费者使用滑轮、滑块或杠杆将CE放在袋、盒中或直接放在箱中。如果放在袋或盒中，则可指示消费者使用滑轮、滑块或杠杆来密封外部包装。

存储在内容服务器218上的内容可以包括图像、可扩展标记语言(“XML”)文档、超文本标记语言(“HTML”)文档、音频、视频、文本等，以及使得回收自助终端202或208能够正确提供内容的指令。举个例子，自助终端上或基于时间的具体针对顾客人群的广告和其它内容可以在从内容服务器218检索之后呈现在回收自助终端202和208上。位于百货商店中的回收自助终端202可以显示与位于便利店中的回收自助终端208不同的广告。另外，位于百货商店中的回收自助终端202可以在夜晚和周末显示与平日不同的广告以针对不同的人群。此外，位于体育用品部门中的回收自助终端202可以显示与位于电子部门中的回收自助终端202不同的广告。
回收自助终端可以位于许多公共场所或者容易进入的场所，除了商场和便利店之外，还包括购物中心、街边店、加油站、DVD出租店、杂货店和餐馆。回收自助终端服务器214还可以经由通信链路222连接到回收自助终端通信网络224。多个服务供应商系统228也可以经由通信链路226连接到回收自助终端通信网络224。服务供应商系统228的例子包括由eBay、蜂窝电话公司、银行卡公司、以及来自服务供应商的服务集合商来运营的系统。这些各种服务供应商系统228可以独立运行在不同计算机系统上，并且可使用不同的通信协议。尽管使用相同或不同的通信协议或系统软件，但回收自助终端服务器214能够与多个服务供应商系统228独立或联合地并行或顺序地交换信息。

在一个实施方式中，对电话进行拍照，并使用分析软件来识别包括诸如镜头、按钮、连接器、标记、标签和/或商标等特征的划痕、裂纹、磨损方式、凹痕、损坏或丢失部分。通过对拍照的电话的照片进行标准化然后与基准图像进行比较的图像比较方法和其它类似方法来完成识别。其它检查方法可以与视觉和/或电气测试结合使用，视觉和/或电气测试包括对自助终端中的各设备进行称重来确定具体重量，并使用该数据来进一步完善制造商的验证和确切设备型号的验证。在另一实施方式中，使用拍摄图像来识别正确的制造商和型号/产品号。视觉ID可以包括以下任意组合：基于测量、物理(例如，毫米、英寸、...)、像素数或其它计算。基于电话尺寸、按钮位置/尺寸、LCD和其它物理特性的识别。根据需要，可使用一个照相机或多个照相机来确定高度、宽度、深度。基于诸如运营商(针对手机)、品牌、型号、串号、其它标识符的标识符的OCR(光学字符识别)识别。基于条形码的识别。根据需要，可能要求顾客将CE放在其前面、后面、侧面，然后要求顾客改变方向。甚至可能要求顾客移除CE盖、电池等，以便获得诸如字母数字或条形码数据的可识别项目。该系统提供了使用视觉检查和电气检查来识别设备、确定其价值、并减少可能的欺诈的方式。该系统能利用视觉系统确定初步的电话识别，然后呈现或点亮针对该电话的正确的线缆，从而使顾客能插入正确的线缆。该系统然后能通过电气测试来确认视觉识别确实正确，然后测试电话以确定其功能和价值。
通过比较收集的信息并将其与数据库进行比较来进行识别。为了执行设备的电气测试、删除或重新编程，自助终端系统使用正确的型号标志，根据设备规格信息数据库来确定正确的电连接器。对于诸如音响、计算机、DVD播放器、游戏机等能以电子方式进行评估的消费电子设备来说，除了从视觉上识别设备之外，或者代替从视觉上识别设备，有必要识别用于电子检查的线缆连接器类型。可以通过从视觉上识别连接器插座的尺寸和形状来完成该操作。这还可以包括识别插座中的引脚或连接点。自助终端系统可以自动将电接口连接到移动设备，或告知用户如何将电接口连接到移动设备。在另一实施方式中，可以将图像电子地传送给操作员，操作员可以对电话的外观状况进行评估和定级。在另一实施方式中，如果顾客不同意所指定的等级或评级，则系统包括呼叫按钮，以提供与操作员的双向通信来讨论评级。
在另一实施方式中，“微自助终端”将具有针对视觉/电子检查的同样功能，但是不一定收藏并存储其评估的产品。微自助终端将由操作员使用，可能与一组分离的外围设备(计算机、照相机、多个线缆连接器、打印机、条形码扫描器、指纹阅读器、签名板等)一起使用。该系统将需要操作员、店员或技术员来完成交易并防范欺诈。对于诸如地面空间有限的零售商、顾客店员深度参与模型零售商、以及电话处理商和/或翻新商的一些地点而言，这可能是比全自助终端更合适的方案。
在一个实施方式中，系统与关联于电话的运营商进行通信，以收集可能与设备有关的任何信息，例如包括验证或认证、登记所有者、帐户状态、服务时间等。在一些情况下，当顾客的识别信息与登记所有者信息不匹配时，系统可能以某种方式(自动电话呼叫、email、文本消息等)自动联系假定的所有者，以通知电话所有者可能的交易。
该系统的实施方式的另一特征是确定电话上是否存在个人信息。这可通过内存中的特定存储寄存器中数据(例如，存储的快捷键号码)的存在、或通过查看文件类型(jpeg、mp3等)、或仅假定所有非默认存储位置必须包含个人数据来确定。向顾客提供从电话中删除数据的机会。一个选项允许顾客请求首先下载数据、然后将其发送到顾客指定的位置(例如，email地址、网站等)。在另一实施方式中，存在使顾客插入内存卡(例如，USB驱动器、记忆棒等)的插槽，系统将上传上面的数据至存储设备。在又一实施方式中，系统将提供网站位置，如果需要，用户可在稍后时间从其取回数据。在另一实施方式中，用户能选择将数据放在顾客在自助终端处购买的另一电话上、或放在自助终端的位置、或放在其它一些地点。顾客能选择用户名和密码来访问系统提供的存储地点。
基于诊断结果，系统为电话分配评级。该评级可以是从多个类别(例如，优秀、中等、一般、不好)中选择的一个、字母等级(A、B、C、D、F)、或数字规则的等级。系统然后访问数据库，基于当前转售价值来确定该电话的实时价值。系统可使用实时或批连接来更新所使用设备的价格、连接到拍卖系统或预拍卖系统。
可以从诸如eBay或Craigslist的在线站点得到该数据，其可由系统生成并定期更新，其可基于消费者指南或任意其它合适的用于确定电话当前价值的方法。通过使用通信网络206经由与回收服务器214的通信而获得的当前市场价格来确定价值。回收服务器从服务供应商中的一个获得电话的当前市场价格，并定期将市场价格存储在数据库上。在图1中描述的实施方式中，存在一种更新回收自助终端202和208的视听或其它用户界面内容或其它方面的机制。举个例子，需要更新内容时，仅需在内容服务器218处更新内容。回收自助终端202和208经由通信网络206从内容服务器218获取更新后的内容。如上所述，由回收自助终端202使用的内容可以与由另一回收自助终端208、甚至另一回收自助终端202使用的内容相同或不同。一旦确定了价值，就在步骤307处将该价值提供给自助终端。系统然后向顾客报出针对该电话的、一般低于转售价值的价格或其它报酬。在其它实施方式中，系统可以向顾客报出当前实时市场价格的价格或报酬。
在步骤308处，确定用户是否愿意接受该报价。若否，系统就进入步骤309，打开笼门，并将电话返回给顾客。如果用户愿意接受该报价，系统就进入步骤310。如果用户接受了价格，系统就可锁定检查区，以防止用户再次取得电话。系统然后可断开已附接的任何线缆。在步骤310处，用户通过在键盘或触摸屏上确认来指示接受决定。在一个实施方式中，系统具有多阶段过程来确定用户接受，使得如果出错则顾客能回退。在此处系统能继续从电话中删除个人数据。此外，一旦确认了交易，系统就能用与诊断数据和交易自身相关联的交易号来为电话加标签。这可以是物理贴到电话上的印刷不干胶标签，和/或将与交易号相对应电子数据传送到电话自身上，以用于追踪目的。
在步骤311处，系统完成对电话的所有附加测试和诊断、断开与电话的线缆连接、并为顾客打印收据。可通过计入顾客信用卡或账户、通过分发现金、或通过分发凭单或优惠券经由自助终端来授权资金转移。在其它实施方式中，系统向顾客发布收据，顾客然后可以将它带到例如与自助终端的位置相关联的商店来进行付款。如果用户已选择将电话价值捐赠给慈善机构，则向顾客发布捐赠收据，稍后利用慈善机构完成结算。
在步骤312处，系统更新其库存数据库，并经由通信网络206将更新传送到自助终端服务器214。
各自助终端将根据以下参数对电话进行储藏，这些参数包括但不限于：卖方/型号、状况、设备价值、运输优先级、锁定或未锁定、运营商兼容性、电话频率、支持的蜂窝标准类型(CDMA、GSM等)、或这些参数的组合。然后将各自助终端箱的库存从自助终端发送到在线网络发布，从而可以举行在线拍卖，允许买家实时从特定自助终端对特定箱进行竞标和购买。然后在自助终端下一次服务期间，可将箱从各具体自助终端直接运输到中标者。
这些在线报价的生成可以是自动的。可以预先准备针对各手机型号的相应文本。电话描述也可以基于感知的电话状况而自动化。最后，可以通过将检查照片电子发送到自助终端服务器来将它们包括在在线报价中。可将诊断和测试信息以及有关电话是锁定还是未锁定、是否包括sim卡、扩展内存的信息或其它描述性信息和特征作为报价的一部分来提供。
在其它实施方式中，首先从自助终端收集电话，然后将其放到转售渠道中。在一些情况下，可以在转售之前对电话进行翻新、修复或升级。在另一实施方式中，系统能够在设备附接到连接器时自动更新设备中的固件。可以利用电子方式进行的所有更新或改进都可以在自助终端处自动实现。
这种自助终端的一个用途可以是鼓励慈善或社区组织的集资。例如，并非收集旧罐和瓶进行回收，诸如童子军、小联盟、或其它组织的组织可以收集诸如电话的可回收设备，并使用自助终端来筹款。在一个实施方式中，组织在系统中进行登记，并收到组织识别号。各个体也可能收到识别号。这是为了鼓励在集资者中进行友好竞争。该系统能基于提供的捐赠设备的数量和价值为各集资者分配信用。此外，登记过程允许向慈善机构或集资组自动存入资金。即使当集资组不是提供电话的实体时，任何顾客仍可以选择向慈善机构捐赠任意资金。可向顾客呈现登记的慈善机构和集资组的列表，并且顾客能选择一个或多个来接收顾客所得款项的全部或一些。
许多电话和可回收设备都包括专用充电器。该系统的一个实施方式为用户设想了插入充电器并将连接器插到插座中的能力，使得同样能测试充电器。该系统然后用同一交易号为充电器加标签，并在价格中加入其价值并且转售。
该系统不仅对电话的外观状况进行评级，还对电池状况进行评级。一旦连接上，该系统能确定电池保持电量的能力，能测量电压和电流，并同样向电池分配评级。
图4是示出系统操作的另一实施方式的流程图。结合图5A-5L的触摸屏显示图像的实施方式来描述图4的流程图。在步骤401处，操作开始。自助终端100的显示可如同图5A中的那样。画面的上部可包括多个可选择选项，例如Recycle My CellPhone 501、Printer Recycle Offer 502、Computer Recycle Offer 503(这可以是品牌的或赞助的回收供应，例如来自诸如Dell的单台计算机)和Device Recycle Offer 504(该按钮可用于前三个按钮未覆盖的设备和可回收物品)。如果需要，可在显示器的下部区域505中提供ATTRACT LOOP(即，电影)。ATTRACT LOOP还可用于教用户如何使用系统。
在一个实施方式中，自助终端可以广播wifi，以将内容推送到支持wifi的电话中。系统能经由这种无线传输来通知用户使用户意识到其存在。此外，自助终端可以播放和/或广播针对存储位置和/或第三方的内容，作为附加收入来源。
用户在步骤401处选择了交易类型之后，系统进入下一画面。为了举例，我们将假设用户已选择回收手机。用户通过选择智能电话506或手机507来选择如图5B所示的手机类型。
在步骤402处，用户例如通过选择图5C中的品牌来选择电话品牌。如果5C上未显示用户的品牌，则有“MORE”选择可用。在一个实施方式中，提供了键盘，用户可以输入品牌，其中提供了可选的自动完成功能。在步骤403处，向用户呈现针对特定制造商的多个型号，如图5D所示。用户在步骤403处选择型号。
在步骤404处，指示用户从袋箱120中取出袋。在步骤405处，用户将电话放在袋中，并使用拉链或其它一些合适的手段来对袋进行密封。在一个实施方式中，各袋附加有预先打印的条形码标签。在另一实施方式中，自助终端100能打印用户可以放在袋上的条形码不干胶标签。在步骤406处，用户使用自助终端100的条形码读取器125来扫描条形码。
在步骤407处，自助终端可自动将设备装袋，或者用户将密封的袋放到自助终端100的检查箱106中。在步骤408处，向用户呈现诸如画面5E所示的默认价值。该默认价值针对的是未知状况下该类型的典型电话。可通过访问本地存储的数据库、或通过经由自助终端和中心位置之间的网络通信访问动态更新的数据库来确定价值。
在判定块409处，确定用户是否希望接受初始价格。如果是，则系统进入步骤413。如果否，则系统进入步骤410并提出一系列问题，来确定针对该电话的可能的更高值。在步骤410处首先要求用户识别运营商(见图5F)。在步骤411处，向用户询问有关电话的其它问题，例如其是否上电(图5G)、显示器是否正常工作(图5H)、以及电话是否进水(图5I)。
在步骤412处和图5J中，向用户呈现新价值。在一些情况下，新价值更高，而在其它情况下，可能更低，均取决于用户提供的回应。在此期间，系统可经由内置于检查箱中的照相机对电话进行自动化检查。在其它例子中，可要求用户将电话插到连接器中，使得能实现电话的自动化电子分析。
如果用户在步骤412处或在步骤408处接受了新价值，则系统开始在步骤413处从用户收集个人信息。这可通过输入与自助终端所在的零售商相关联的顾客可信度(loyalty number)、刷信用卡/借记卡，通过刷驾驶执照，或通过使用呈现在自助终端的触摸画面上的诸如图5K和5L所示的键盘手动输入来实现。
在步骤414处，用户选择诸如商店积分、收费卡积分、优惠券等多种补偿方法中的一种。在用户选择了支付方法之后，提示用户通过将拇指或手指放在自助终端100的打印读取器128上来输入指纹。在步骤416处，用户在自助终端100上的电子签名板103上签名，在步骤417处，交易结束。
附加实施方式
在另选实施方式中，该系统提供了互联自助终端的网络，自助终端与中央服务器通信，以显示可以使用该系统进行回收的多个电子设备的实时定价，其中可以使用该系统进行回收的多个电子设备包括诸如个人计算机的较大电子设备、微波、或任何其它可回收电子设备。该系统实现与定价、信贷和交互有关的功能，但是提供了用于接收和传送回收物品的多种不同实现。该系统还可包括可以是物理传送以其它方法发生的初次进入系统的网络版。
如上所述，该系统提供了具有触摸屏显示器、打印机、储藏容器、用于存储设备的包装/袋的交互式自助终端。用户界面(UI)指示用户如何确定被回收物品或返回到零售店用于折价价值的物品的价值。
机器将使用多种检查技术来确定设备数字媒体的价值。检查技术包括视觉检查和使用标准(USB、HDMI、DVI等)电接口和专用(Apple、Nokia等)电接口的电子测试的组合，用于识别和分类，以唯一地识别制造商和型号以及软件版本。诸如游戏或娱乐大容量存储设备的数字媒体的检查可包括数字测试游戏卡带或光盘DVD、蓝光、或其它可用于读取媒体光盘的光盘驱动器的独特接口和线缆。自助终端的软件将验证存储在大容量光盘或卡带或磁带上的数字媒体的合法性、功能和质量。在一个实施方式中，用户可以在新游戏发布之前回收游戏，并接收对新游戏购买的信用，而在一些实施方式中，得到了比没有在自助终端处回收的人提前获得游戏的优先机会。
该系统设想了使用户与系统交互的多种方式。在可能的情况下，对报价的设备进行全面检查和分析，并商议价格或信贷。在另一实施方式中，商议暂定价格，等待设备状况审核。在一个实施方式中，可直接将设备存入自助终端。在另一实施方式中，系统将卖方指引到相关联的商店，以将设备转交给合适的人员。在不同实施方式中，该系统提供邮件标签、包装等，使得卖方可以将设备运送到另一位置。
小型设备：自助终端提供了针对插入到包装中并放在自助终端中以用于一旦设备被审核则稍后付款的小型便携式电子设备的价格。
运送实施方式/延迟补偿
这是在用户希望回收电子设备并将其带到当地零售店时使用的。在自助终端处，用户从菜单界面选择要回收的设备类型(电话、照相机等)。用户回答有关运行状态、划痕、其它缺陷、有无附件等的问题。
如上所述，自助终端显示估计价值，以及包括现金、慈善捐赠百分比、零售商礼品卡等的付款选项。卖方选择继续，并通过输入个人信息来接受交易。此时，自助终端打印标签；用户将电子设备放在运送袋中，并将标签放在袋上。另选地，袋有已经附加的预打印标签。用户然后将袋邮寄或运送到目的位置。此时，可以审核设备，以确定设备的状况、功能和可操作性是否匹配自助终端处的确定或输入。如果匹配，则向用户贷记或支付原始金额。如果设备状况较差，则通知用户，并支付较低价格。
用户将袋插入自助终端
大型设备：
在诸如当用户具有类似PC、打印机或监视器的不适合自助终端或难于邮寄或运输的更大物品的某些情况下，他们与自助终端交互来输入信息、确定价值、并打印证件，以与物品一起提供给相关联商店中的店员。在这种情况下，证件(paper)基于零售商、OEM和系统之间预定义的一组规则提供了店员遵循的所有指令。向用户贷记或支付，并且商议处理物品进一步的运送或传送。
内容媒体折价/回购索赔
消费者可以使用连接网络的自助终端来确定诸如数字游戏、DVD、CD-ROM、蓝光光盘等的内容媒体的功能和折价价值。物品可以是卡带、光盘、或与诸如游戏系统、PC、DVD播放器等的内容播放器结合使用的其它形式的数字媒体。
机器必须测试媒体以确保其不是盗版或非法复制的游戏，以及游戏处于良好数字/物理状况，使得其在二手市场上仍然可用和可销售。在测试期间得知的信息可包括(但不限于)制造商、游戏名和版本、以及游戏实际可操作的一些认证。
机器可使用实际游戏机和/或其它计算机来测试游戏和数字媒体，以核实它们的合法性和功能。
操作
下面的过程描述了用户与机器的交互，为了1)使用与定价引擎服务器的互联网连接来创建设备价值、数字游戏或其它数字媒体，以及2)为了向用户支付由自助终端和网络服务器提供的商议价格。在自助终端创建了价格之后，价格可以保持一定时段(即，2周)。
用户来到媒体回收自助终端处，并触摸屏幕以开始。
插入了什么类型的媒体？用户选择控制台然后媒体识别。
显示器指示用户将媒体模块/光盘插入哪个连接器(或许机器基于媒体类型仅呈现正确线缆或端口)
用户插入媒体。
自助终端确认媒体名、制造商和数字质量(即，划痕DVD)。
自助终端显示折价价格，并可显示优惠，并将所得款项用于购买其它媒体或附件。
自助终端将并入多个连接器、插槽和插头位置，以容纳多种媒体形式(例如，光盘、卡带等)。
自助终端将并入用于测试媒体以验证其可工作的个体内容播放控制台集合(即，XBOX360、Wii等)。
自助终端将并入这些性能，以通过测试和检查媒体来确定二手消费媒体的价值。
自助终端连接到互联网，实时定价系统将使用在自助终端处收集的信息来确定市场价格或促销折价价值，并呈现给用户。用户然后必须决定继续交易还是退出。
网络实施方式
基于网络的定价自助终端复制了自助终端的经验，但是允许用户将设备带到商店，并且在得到在线价格之后放下。系统可打印收据、邮件标签等，供用户带到参与收集中心。
电子回收自助终端收集对于零售商进行编译时、可用于证实它们符合国家电子垃圾和二手交易法规的信息。
可以使用回收自助终端来获得诸如照片和指纹的个人信息，以识别出售二手货的人，并且根据需要将此信息提供给当地执法机关，以确定是否通过回收过程转移了被盗物品，以及由谁进行了转移。
对于带USB接口的设备，自助终端使用USB接口来提取PID/VID#，以确定品牌/型号，并基于当前市场价值的实时查看来向用户呈现价值。
该系统可以使用HDMI、DVI、1394、i-Link接口，并且支持EDID(HDMI ID协议)和DVI。使用这些协议来识别CE设备。
为防止或减少欺诈，该系统可并入诸如下面的多种测试和分析：
对设备称重-这容易出错(有壳没壳、有电池没电池)
从视觉上检查设备，检测微小设计特征，来检测假货。
IR、可见光或激光扫描设备以得到针对给定设备的吸热/衰变签名。原理是衰变签名对于每个品牌/型号的设备都将不同，并且在同一设备上随着扫描方向也将有所变化。假设备或空设备将不具有正确的签名，并且将不被接受以立即付款。在这种情况下，用户可以选择在通过人检查电话之后进行支付。

Claims (16)

1.一种自助终端，该自助终端包括：
设备识别装置，其用于识别要回收的电子设备；
连接到所述设备识别装置的设备检查装置，其用于自动接收和检查所述电子设备；以及
连接到所述设备检查装置的设备评估装置，其用于确定所述电子设备的补偿价值，
其中，所述设备识别装置包括用于提供到所述电子设备的电连接的线缆连接器，所述自助终端向用户提供所述线缆连接器用于连接至所述电子设备，同时所述自助终端从所述电子设备断开所述线缆连接器，以及所述用户被防止获取所述电子设备，以及
如果所述用户拒绝所述补偿价值，所述自助终端将所述电子设备返还所述用户，或者如果所述用户接受所述补偿价值，所述自助终端保留所述电子设备。
2.根据权利要求1所述的自助终端，其中，所述设备检查装置还包括照相机，所述照相机拍摄所述电子设备的图像。
3.根据权利要求1所述的自助终端，其中，所述设备识别装置包括用于选择所述电子设备的品牌和型号的交互数据输入装置。
4.根据权利要求2所述的自助终端，其中，所述自助终端使用所述图像确定所述电子设备的外观状况。
5.根据权利要求2所述的自助终端，其中，所述自助终端使用所述图像识别所述电子设备。
6.根据权利要求1所述的自助终端，其中，所述自助终端使用所述线缆连接器确定所述电子设备的可操作性。
7.根据权利要求1所述的自助终端，其中所述设备检查装置包括多个线缆连接器。
8.根据权利要求7所述的自助终端，其中，所述自助终端基于所述电子设备的识别来识别与所述电子设备相关联的线缆连接器。
9.根据权利要求1所述的自助终端，其中，所述电子设备是移动电话。
10.根据权利要求1所述的自助终端，其中，所述补偿价值是商店代金券、折价价值、现金和优惠券中的一种形式。
11.一种回收电子设备的方法，该方法包括以下步骤：
在自助终端的检查区处从用户接收所述电子设备；
指示所述用户将线缆连接器连接至所述电子设备；
自动识别所述电子设备；
确定所述电子设备的补偿价值；
将所述补偿价值提供给用户；
如果所述用户拒绝所述补偿价值，将所述线缆连接器从所述电子设备断开，以及将所述电子设备返还所述用户，或者
如果所述用户接受所述补偿价值，自动将所述线缆连接器从所述电子设备断开，同时所述检查区被锁定以防止所述用户进一步获取所述电子设备。
12.根据权利要求11所述的方法，该方法还包括
当所述提供的补偿价值被接受时，将所述电子设备收纳在所述自助终端中。
13.如权利要求11所述的方法，还包括自动开始针对所述电子设备的在线拍卖。
14.如权利要求11所述的方法，还包括检测所述电子设备以确定所述电子设备的外观状况。
