技术领域
本发明涉及用于车辆用灯具的白色发光装置以及使用该白色发光装置的车辆用灯具。更为详细而言,涉及使用半导体发光元件和利用该半导体发光元件的光高效地激发而发光的荧光体,能够以高的发光强度发出可见度高的白色光的白色发光装置以及使用该白色发光装置的车辆用灯具,其中,白色光处在用于车辆用灯具的白色光源的色度的规定范围内。
背景技术
近年来,作为寿命长且消耗电力少的白色发光装置,这样的白色发光装置备受瞩目:将发出蓝色光的发光二极管(LED)、激光二极管(LD)等半导体发光元件和以它们为激发光源的荧光体组合,作为合成光谱得到基于从两者得到的发光的加色混合的白色发光。作为该白色发光装置的用途,期待利用于车辆用灯具特别是车辆用前照灯的白色光源(参照专利文献1)
在此,车辆用灯具的白色光源,根据色度规定,要求发光光谱处于规定的色度坐标(cx,cy)的范围内,例如,根据JIS:D5500,要求处于图6的色度图所示的区域A的范围内。
区域A通过下列式子表示。

作为能够以高的发光强度发出符合所述色度规定的白色光的白色发光装置的例子,已知这样的发光装置(参照专利文献2):将在蓝色波长域(420~490nm)具有发光峰值波长的InCaN系的半导体发光元件以及在510~600nm之间具有发光峰值波长的铈激活的钇铝石榴石(YAG)系的黄色发光荧光体组合而实现白色发光。

但是,组合了发出蓝色光的半导体发光元件和黄色荧光体的白色发光装置可再现的色度范围,可通过将半导体发光元件发出的蓝色光的色度坐标和荧光体发出的黄色光的色度坐标连结的直线近似地表示,并且,通过调整两者的发光强度,能够得到该直线上的任意的色度坐标的光。
图6的色度图所示的直线L是此种直线的一例,是表示利用将发光峰值波长为450nm的蓝色半导体发光元件和主波长(ドミナント波長)为572nm的黄色荧光体组合而成的白色发光装置可再现的色度范围的直线。
在此,对于人的眼睛感受亮度的可见度而言,由于黄色光比蓝色光高出约20倍,所以,在将蓝色光和黄色光加色混合的白色光的情况下,即使是同样的发光强度,黄色光成分多的白色光使人的眼睛觉得明亮。这表示对于所述直线L上的各色度坐标的光而言,如果发光强度相同,则靠近黄色荧光体一侧的光使人的眼睛觉得明亮。另外,在所述区域A(车辆用灯具的白色光源的色度规定)的范围内,可见度最高的色度坐标为区域A的黄色荧光体侧边界线和所述直线L的交叉点X。
因此,如果在所述区域A(车辆用灯具的白色光源的色度规定)的范围内追求白色光的可见度的高度,则需要以使交叉点X的坐标更加靠近黄色荧光体侧(图6中X’侧)的方式选择半导体光元件的发光色和荧光体的发光色。
具体而言,在将半导体发光元件的发光峰值波长设为450nm左右的情况下,所述交叉点X的坐标成为可见度高的范围的就是黄色荧光体的主波长为575~590nm的范围。
但是,在目前已知的将发出蓝色光的半导体发光元件和YAG系荧光体组合的白色发光装置中,由于还未知在主波长为575~590nm的范围内得到高发光强度的YAG系荧光体,因此,能够以高的发光强度发出可见度高的白色光的白色发光装置难以实现。
发明内容
本发明是鉴于以上情况而做出的,其目的在于,提供一种白色发光装置以及使用该白色发光装置的车辆用灯具,该白色发光装置使用半导体发光元件和利用该半导体发光元件的光高效地激发而发光的荧光体,能够以高的发光强度发出可见度高的白色光,该白色光处在用于车辆用灯具的白色光源的色度的规定范围内。
为了解决上述课题,本发明的发明者经过多次研究重新发现:由通式Sr1 -x-yBaxSi2O2N2:Eu2+ y表示且该通式中的x为0.3<x<1.0的范围、y为0.03<y<0.3的范围、x+y为x+y<1.0的范围的荧光体,在370~480nm的波长域被高效地激发,能够以高的发光强度发出含有大量黄色成分的可见光,通过使用该种荧光体构成白色发光装置,直至完成了本发明。
即,本发明第一方面提供一种白色发光装置,用于车辆用灯具,其特征在于,具有:在370~480nm的波长域具有发光光谱的峰值的半导体发光元件以及被所述半导体发光元件发出的光激发而发出可见光的至少一种以上的荧光体,作为所述荧光体,具有由通式Sr1-x-yBaxSi2O2N2:Eu2+ y(其中,x为0.3<x<1.0的范围,y为0.03<y<0.3的范围,x+y为x+y<1.0的范围)表示的荧光体。
所述白色发光装置所具备的所述荧光体,如果上述通式中的x在0.3<x<0.90的范围,y在0.05<y<0.25的范围,x+y在x+y<0.98的范围,则可以得到高的光束。
另外,只要发出可见光,对于所述荧光体的发光光谱就不做特别限定,但是,为了得到可见度高的色温低的暖色系白色光,优选所述荧光体的发光光谱的主波长为567~590nm,更优选为575~590nm的波长域。
另外,从演色性的观点来看,所述荧光体的发光光谱优选的峰值波长为540~590nm,更优选为575~590nm的波长域,半幅值为80nm以上。
另外,所述荧光体优选如下制得:将SrCO3、BaCO3、SiO2及Eu2O3的混合物在还原氛围中进行一次烧结而制造出铕激活的正硅酸盐(ユ一ロピウム付活のオルソ硅酸塩),将该铕激活的正位硅酸盐作为前体,将该前体、Si3N4及NH4Cl的混合物在还原氛围中进行二次烧结。这样制得的所述荧光体能够显示良好的绿~橙色的发光。
只要在370~480nm的波长域具有发光光谱的峰值,对于所述半导体发光元件就不做特别限定,但是,从所述荧光体的激发波长域的观点看,优选发光光谱的峰值在430~470nm的波长域,作为适宜的例子,可列举450nm附近的波长域的发光特性好的InGaN系LED。
本发明第二方面提供一种车辆用灯具,其特征在于,将所述白色发光装置作为光源使用。
本发明的白色发光装置能够以高输出发出演色性高且适合于作为车辆用前照灯的光源规定的色度的白色光。另外,在将这种白色发光装置作为光源使用的车辆用灯具中,也能够得到同样的效果。

具体实施方式
下面,参照附图对本发明的实施方式进行详细说明。本发明不受以下说明中的示例等的任何限定。
图1是本发明实施方式的白色发光装置1的示意剖面图。如图1所示,白色发光装置1在基板2上形成有一对电极3a(阳极)及3b(阴极)。在电极3a上通过固定部件(マウント部材)5固定有半导体发光元件4。半导体发光元件4和电极3a通过所述固定部件5通电,半导体发光元件4和电极3b通过接合线6通电。在半导体发光元件上形成有荧光层7。
基板2优选由不具有导电性但热传导性高的材料形成,例如可使用陶瓷基板(氮化铝基板、氧化铝基板、富铝红柱石基板、玻璃陶瓷基板)、玻璃环氧树脂基板等。
电极3a及3b是由金或铜等金属材料形成的导电层。
半导体发光元件4为用于本发明的白色发光装置的发光元件之一例,例如可使用发出紫外线或者短波长可见光的LED、LD等。作为具体例,可列举InGaN系的化合物半导体。InGaN系的化合物半导体因In的含有量不同而发光波长域发生变化。显示出若In的含有量多,发光波长变为长波长,若In的含有量少,发光波长变为短波长的倾向。
固定部件5例如是银膏等导电性粘接材料或金锡共晶焊料等,将半导体发光元件4的下表面固定于电极3a上,将半导体发光元件4的下表面侧电极和基板2上的电极3a电连接。
接合线6是金接合线等导电部件,例如通过超声波热压接等与半导体发光元件4的上表面侧电极及电极3b接合,将两者电连接。
在荧光层7上,后述的荧光体通过粘合剂部件密封成覆盖半导体发光元件4的上表面的膜状。这样的荧光层7例如可形成为,在液状或凝胶状的粘合剂部件上制作混入有荧光体的荧光体膏后,将该荧光体膏涂敷于半导体发光元件4的上表面,之后使涂敷后的荧光体膏的粘合剂部件固化。作为粘合剂部件可使用例如硅酮树脂、氟树脂等。
使用于本发明的白色发光装置的荧光体是用通式Sr1-x-yBaxSi2O2N2:Eu2+ y(其中,x为0.3<x<1.0,y为0.03<y<0.3,x+y为x+y<1.0的范围)表示的荧光体,例如可如下得到。
将SrCO3、BaCO3、SiO2、Eu2O3的混合粉末在还原氛围中进行烧结,将铕激活的正硅酸盐制作为前体。将该前体粉碎,加上Si3N4和NH4Cl,在还原氛围中烧结,由此能够得到本发明的荧光体。
在荧光层7上可混入具有与所述荧光体不同的发光特性的一种或者多种荧光体。通过使这些荧光体的配合量变化,能够调整从白色发光装置得到的白色光的色度。
另外,在荧光层7上也可以混入具有各种物性的除荧光体以外的物质。例如,通过将折射率比金属氧化物、氟化合物、硫化物等粘合剂部件更高的物质混入荧光层7,能够提高荧光层7的折射率。由此,得到如下效果:使从半导体发光元件4产生的光入射荧光层7时产生的全反射降低,提高激发光向荧光层7的取入效率的效果。进而,通过使混入的物质粒径达到纳米尺寸,不使荧光层7的透明度降低,可以提高折射率。
另外,也可以将氧化铝、氧化锆、氧化钛等的平均粒径为0.3~2μm程度的白色粉末作为光散射剂混入荧光层7。由此,能够防止发光面的亮度、色度不均。
在上述白色发光装置1中,若对于电极3a、3b施加驱动电流,则半导体发光元件4通电,半导体发光元件4朝向荧光层7照射包含蓝色光的固有波长域的光。该光的一部分用于荧光层7内的荧光体的激发,剩余的光透过荧光层7而直接向外部照射。荧光体被来自半导体发光元件4的光激发并照射固有波长域的光。通过将透过了荧光层7的来自半导体发光元件4的光和荧光体发出的光加色混合而能够得到白色光。
实施例
下面,使用发光装置的实施例对上述白色发光装置1进行更具体的说明。下述的发光装置的原料、制造方法、荧光体的化学组成等的记载丝毫不限定本发明。
首先,对于在本实施例的发光装置中使用的荧光体进行详细阐述。
<荧光体1>
用Sr0.425Ba0.425Si2O2N2:Eu2+ 0.15表示的荧光体。
本荧光体1的制造工序如下:
首先,分别称量SrCO3 1.321g、BaCO3 1.766g、Eu2O3 0.556g、SiO2 0.632g,将各原料投入到氧化铝研钵混合粉碎约20分钟,将该混合物放入到氧化铝坩埚并盖上盖,在还原氛围H2/N2(5/95)、1100℃的电炉中烧结3小时,得到前体Sr0.85Ba0.85SiO4:Eu2+ 0.30。
接着,分别称量所述前体3.289g、Si3N4 1.403g,作为熔剂(フラツクス)的NH4Cl 0.047g,将各原料投入到氧化铝研钵混合粉碎约20分钟,将该混合物放入到氧化铝坩埚并盖上盖,在还原氛围H2/N2(5/95)、1200~1400℃下烧结6小时,得到荧光体1。
<荧光体2>
用Sr0.05Ba0.75Si2O2N2:Eu2+ 0.2表示的荧光体。
本荧光体2的制造工序如下:
首先,分别称量SrCO3 0.114g、BaCO3 2.277g、Eu2O3 0.541g、SiO2 0.462g,将各原料投入到氧化铝研钵混合粉碎约20分钟,将该混合物放入到氧化铝坩埚并盖上盖,在还原氛围H2/N2(5/95)、1100℃的电炉中烧结3小时,得到前体Sr0.1Ba1.5SiO4:Eu2+ 0.4。
接着,分别称量所述前体2.451g,Si3N4 0.935g,作为熔剂的NH4Cl 0.034g,将各原料投入到氧化铝研钵混合粉碎约20分钟,将该混合物放入到氧化铝坩埚并盖上盖,在还原氛围H2/N2(5/95)、1200~1400℃下烧结6小时,得到荧光体2。
<荧光体3>
用Sr0.225Ba0.675Si2O2N2:Eu2+ 0.1表示的荧光体。
本荧光体3的制造工序如下:
首先,分别称量SrCO3 0.511g、BaCO3 2.049g、Eu2O3 0.271g、SiO2 0.462g,将各原料投入到氧化铝研钵混合粉碎约20分钟,将该混合物放入到氧化铝坩埚并盖上盖,在还原氛围H2/N2(5/95)、1100℃的电炉中烧结3小时,得到前体Sr0.45Ba1.35SiO4:Eu2+ 0.2。
接着,分别称量所述前体2.315g、Si3N4 0.935g,作为熔剂的NH4Cl 0.03g,将各原料投入到氧化铝研钵混合粉碎约20分钟,将该混合物放入到氧化铝坩埚并盖上盖,在还原氛围H2/N2(5/95)、1200~1400℃下6小时,得到荧光体3。
<参考用荧光体1>
作为参考用荧光体1,制作了用Sr0.93Si2O2N2:Eu2+ 0.07表示的荧光体。
该参考用荧光体1的制造工序如下:
首先,分别称量SrCO3 3.051g、Eu2O3 0.274g、SiO2 0.668g,将各原料投入到氧化铝研钵混合粉碎约20分钟,将该混合物放入到氧化铝坩埚并盖上盖,在还原氛围H2/N2(5/95)、1100℃的电炉中烧结3小时,得到前体Sr1.86SiO4:Eu2+ 0.14。
接着,分别称量所述前体2.763g、Si3N41.402g、作为熔剂的NH4Cl 0.04g,将各原料投入到氧化铝研钵混合粉碎约20分钟,将该混合物放入到氧化铝坩埚并盖上盖,在还原氛围H2/N2(5/95)、1200~1400℃下烧结6小时,得到参考用荧光体1。
<参考用荧光体2>
作为参考用荧光体2,制作了用Sr0.67Ba0.25Si2O2N2:Eu2+ 0.08表示的荧光体。
该参考用荧光体2的制造工序如下:
首先,分别称量SrCO3 1.517g、BaCO3 0.759g、Eu2O3 0.217g、SiO2 0.462g,将各原料投入到氧化铝研钵混合粉碎约20分钟,将该混合物放入到氧化铝坩埚并盖上盖,在还原氛围H2/N2(5/95)、1100℃的电炉中烧结3小时,得到前体Sr1.34Ba0.5SiO4:Eu2+ 0.16。
接着,分别称量所述前体2.106g、Si3N40.935g、作为熔剂的NH4Cl 0.03g,将各原料投入到氧化铝研钵混合粉碎约20分钟,将该混合物放入到氧化铝坩埚并盖上盖,在还原氛围H2/N2(5/95)、1200~1400℃下烧结6小时,得到参考用荧光体2。
<比较荧光体1>
作为比较用荧光体1,使用铈激活的钇铝石榴石荧光体(化成オプトニクス公司产品:P46-Y3)。
作为能够以高的发光强度发出符合这种色度规定的白色光的白色发光装置的例子,已知这样的发光装置:将在蓝色波长域(420~490nm)具有发光峰值波长的InGaN系的半导体发光元件和在510~600nm之间具有发光峰值波长的铈激活的钇铝石榴石(YAG)系的黄色荧光体组合而实现白色发光。
该荧光体作为用蓝色波长域的光激发而发出黄色光的荧光体是已知的。
<荧光体1~3的评价结果>
下面,详述对荧光体1~3、参考用荧光体1~2及比较用荧光体1测定的450nm激发下的各种发光特性。
表1表示450nm激发下的各荧光体的积分发光强度比、色度坐标(cx,cy)及主波长(nm)。
另外,积分发光强度比作为将450nm激发下的比较用荧光体1的积分发光强度设为100时的相对值来表示。

积分发光强度比:设比较用荧光体1的积分发光强度为100时的相对值。
从表1可知,荧光体1~3均表示了强于比较用荧光体1的积分发光强度,在450nm附近的波长域被高效地激发而能够发出高发光强度的可见光。
另外,对于荧光体1~3可知,色度坐标在cx=0.47~0.52,cy=0.47~0.51的范围内,主波长处在相比于比较用荧光体1成为长波长的575~581nm的波长域。
图2表示450nm激发下的荧光体1的发光光谱(实线)及比较用荧光体1的发光光谱(虚线)。
另外,图2中的纵轴表示荧光体1和比较用荧光体1的相对发光强度。
从图2可知,荧光体1的发光光谱的峰值处在560~580nm的波长域,半幅值为90nm以上。因此,荧光体1发出蓝色的补色即黄色的光。
图3表示荧光体1的激发光谱(实线)及比较用荧光体1的激发光谱(虚线)。
另外,图3中的纵轴表示荧光体1和比较用荧光体1的相对激发强度。
从该图3可知,荧光体1的激发光谱的峰值在400~470nm的较宽的范围内存在。
由此可知,荧光体1被在370~480nm的波长域具有发光光谱的峰值的半导体发光元件的光高效地激发,从而能够发光。
<通过加色混合实现白色光化的研究>
如图4所示,通过发光光谱的峰值波长为450nm的半导体发光元件和各荧光体的加色混合而可再现的色度范围,可利用将该半导体发光元件的色度坐标点B(cx=0.152,cy=0.025)和表1所示的各荧光体的色度坐标标点Y1~Y6连结的直线(虚线)L1~L6大致地表示。
由图4可预测,由于L1~L3(荧光体1~3)及L6(比较用荧光体1)通过表示车辆用前照灯的白色光源的色度规定(JIS:D5500)的范围的区域A的范围,所以,通过与蓝色发光的半导体发光元件组合,可以发出满足该色度规定的白色光。
另一方面,可预测由于L4及L5不通过区域A的范围,所以不能发出满足该色度规定的白色光。
如上所述,在L1~L3(荧光体1~3)或者直线L6(比较用荧光体1)中,在区域A的范围内可见度最高的点成为区域A的黄色荧光体侧边界线和直线L1~L3、L6的交叉点即点X1~X3、X6。
在表2中表示点X1~X3、X6的色度坐标、色差α:各点和半导体发光元件的色度坐标(点B)的色差、色差β:各点和各荧光体的色度坐标(点Y1~Y3、Y6)的色差(色差β)、色差比(色差α:色差β)。
通过表2及图4可知,点X1~X3(荧光体1~3)与点X6(比较用荧光体1)相比,任何一个相对于色差β的色差α的比率大,且靠近荧光体的色度坐标侧。因此可预测,通过荧光体1~3和蓝色发光的半导体发光元件的组合,与在区域A的范围使用比较用荧光体1的情况相比,可发出更高可见度的白色光。

下面,对实施例的发光装置的结构进行详述。
另外,下述发光装置的结构除所使用的荧光体的种类之外,对于所有的实施例及比较例来说结构为共通。
<发光装置的结构>
本实施例的发光装置在上述实施方式中采用了下述的具体结构。
首先,作为基板2使用氮化铝基板,在其表面使用金形成有电极3a(阳极)及电极3b(阴极)。
另外,作为半导体发光元件4,使用在450nm处具有发光峰值的1mm见方的LED(SemiLEDs公司产品:MvLEDTMS-V-B40AC),在所述电极3a(阳极)上使用分配器滴下的银膏(エイプルステイツク公司产品:84-1LMISR4)上粘接该LED的下表面,使该银膏在175℃环境下固化1小时。
另外,作为接合线6使用Φ45μm的金接合线,将该金接合线通过超声波热压接与LED的上表面侧电极及电极3b(阴极)接合。
另外,作为粘合剂部件使用硅酮树脂(東レダウコ一ニングシリコン公司产品:JCR6140),制作其中混入了各种荧光体的30vol%的荧光体膏,将该荧光体膏涂敷在半导体发光元件4上表面。涂敷量按照得到所希望的色度的方式一边调整一边涂敷。
将涂敷后的荧光体膏在80℃环境下40分钟、然后在150℃环境下60分钟进行分级固化而固定,由此形成荧光层7。
根据所述的荧光体及发光装置的结构,制作了下述的实施例、参考例、及比较例。
<实施例1>
本实施例1使用所述荧光体1制作荧光体膏,制作了使用该荧光体膏并调整涂敷量使其接近图4的色度图中的点X1的发光装置。
<实施例2>
本实施例2使用所述荧光体2制作荧光体膏,制作了使用该荧光体膏并调整涂敷量使其接近图4的色度图中的点X2的发光装置。
<实施例3>
本实施例3使用所述荧光体3制作荧光体膏,制作了使用该荧光体膏并调整涂敷量使其接近图4的色度图中的点X3的发光装置。
<比较例1>
本比较例1使用所述比较用荧光体1制作荧光体膏,制作了使用该荧光体膏并调整涂敷量使其接近图4的色度图中的点X6的发光装置。
<实施例的评价>
在积分球内投入50mA的电流使各发光装置发光,用分光器(Instrument System公司产品CAS140B-152)测定了光束及分光光谱。下面详述该测定结果。
表3表示对各发光装置施加了50mA的驱动电流时的光束比、色度坐标(cx,cy)及色温(K)。
光束比用将对比较例1的发光装置施加了50mA的驱动电流时的光束设为100的相对值来表示。

光束比:将比较例3的发光装置上施加了50mA的驱动电流时的光束设为100的相对值
通过该表3可知,任何一个实施例的光束都比比较例1高。
另外,可知任何一个实施例的色度坐标都在图4的色度图中的区域A的范围,即,是与车辆用灯具的白色光源的色度规定相符合的白色光,且是相对于比较例1位于靠近荧光体侧的位置即可见度高的白色光。
另外,可知相比于比较例1的色温为4000K以上,实施例1~3的色温均为4000K以下的暖色系。
以上,基于实施例说明了本发明的荧光体,但本发明不限于这些实施例,不言而喻,可以进行各种变更更、改良、组合、利用等。
本申请基于2008年2月18日申请的日本专利申请(特愿2008-035453)做出,在此作为参考引用了该内容。
工业实用性
本发明的白色发光装置可利用于车辆用灯具即光源的功能色为白色系的灯具,例如车头灯、雾灯、转向灯、汽车牌照灯、倒车信号灯、室内灯等。
另外,本发明的白色发光装置还可以利用于将白色光源和滤色镜组合而成的车辆用灯具即功能色为白色系以外色系的灯具,例如尾灯、停车灯、转向信号灯等。
Claims (9)
1.一种白色发光装置,用于车辆用灯具,其特征在于,具有:
半导体发光元件,其在370~480nm的波长域具有发光光谱的峰值;和
至少一种以上的荧光体,其被所述半导体发光元件发出的光激发而发出可见光;
所述荧光体由通式Sr1-x-yBaxSi2O2N2:Eu2+ y表示,所述通式中的x为0.3<x<1.0的范围,y为0.03<y<0.3的范围,x+y为x+y<1.0的范围。
2.如权利要求1所述的白色发光装置,其特征在于,
所述通式中的x为0.3<x<0.90的范围,y为0.05<y<0.25的范围,x+y为x+y<0.98的范围。
3.如权利要求1或2所述的白色发光装置,其特征在于,
所述荧光体的发光光谱的主波长在567~590nm的波长域。
4.如权利要求3所述的白色发光装置,其特征在于,
所述荧光体的发光光谱的主波长在575~590nm的波长域。
5.如权利要求1~4中任一项所述的白色发光装置,其特征在于,
所述荧光体的发光光谱的峰值波长在540~595nm的波长域,半幅值在80nm以上。
6.如权利要求5所述的白色发光装置,其特征在于,
所述荧光体的发光光谱的峰值波长在575~590nm的波长域。
7.如权利要求1~6中任一项所述的白色发光装置,其特征在于,
所述荧光体通过将SrCO3、BaCO3、SiO2及Eu2O3的混合物在还原氛围中进行一次烧结而制造出铕激活的正硅酸盐,并将该铕激活的正硅酸盐作为前体,将该前体、Si3N4及NH4Cl的混合物在还原氛围中进行二次烧结而得到。
8.如权利要求1~7中任一项所述的白色发光装置,其特征在于,
所述白色发光装置是所述半导体发光元件的峰值波长在430~470nm的波长域的InGaN系LED。
9.一种车辆用灯具,其特征在于,以权利要求1~8中任一项所述的白色发光装置作为光源。
