已知的柔性管由头部和柔性裙部组成,通过焊接一种叫做“层压板”的板而得到柔性裙部,该层压板由数层塑料或金属层形成。通过下述步骤得到这些裙部:将板展开;使板形成管状体;将板的末端焊接到一起;大体上形成轻微重叠;并最终将管状体切割成长度相同的段。然后,将管头焊接或模塑到所述裙部的末端。管头包括具有孔口的颈部和将颈部接合到所述裙部的肩部。由此,管被送到灌装器处,头部朝下,并且递送口封闭(例如通过螺丝帽),从而管通过其保持开放的末端被灌装。一旦管被灌装,所述末端就通过收缩和将薄膜焊接到其自身而关闭。
通过焊接制造柔性管所遇到的一个困难是在焊接操作期间裙部的变形。通常,生产的裙部不具有所期望的完美的几何圆形,取而代之的是,裙部具有“梨形”或“水滴形”的横截面。这些不圆度缺陷尤其有损于接合和管灌装操作。通过焊接将裙部接合到头部的操作需要将头部插入裙部,这种操作越困难,不圆度缺陷就越严重。在灌装期间,灌装器必须经过管保持开放的那一端引入喷嘴。当管的横截面不是圆形时,该操作受到强烈的干扰。
裙部的不圆度会对管的最终几何形状产生影响,并且在许多情况下,不圆度缺陷损害了包装的美学属性。出于这个原因,期望获得完美圆形的裙部。
专利申请WO 2004/039561提出:在焊接操作之前,使层压板的变形超出弹性极限。申请WO 2004/039561提出的第一方法在于通过压延将板变薄大约1%。每一毫米宽的板必须施加2.5-500牛顿的力。当板包括的塑料按体积计超过70%时,建议在压延前将所述板加热到75-120℃。申请WO 2004/039561提出的第二方法在于压花操作,从而导致形成了凸起的特征和凹陷,压花的幅度优选地在板厚度的1/15-3倍之间。这种压延或压花操作应该具有改变层压板中的残余应力的效果。根据发明人的描述,这种方法使得板的弹性特性一致,并且在压花的情况下,有可能提升板在纵向和横向的强度。然而,专利申请WO 2004/039561中提出的方法具有若干缺陷。其不能方便地用于印刷板,尤其当在表面上印刷时。这是因为:由于该方法产生的变形、温度和摩擦,压延或压花操作容易损坏印刷。
瑞士专利申请CH 695 937 A5提出了另一种提高管的圆度的方法。该方法是在管状体被切割成长度相同的段之前,在其上实施热处理。根据现有技术制造该管状体,焊接方法具体包括:成形步骤,在该步骤中板绕焊条缠绕以形成圆柱体;加热步骤,以融化将要被焊接在一起的板末端;将要被焊接在一起的末端进行加压的步骤;以及冷却焊接区域的步骤。然后,申请CH 695 937A5提出在管状体被切割成长度相同的段之前,在其上实施热处理。热处理是通过与管的外表面接触的液体使得管状体的温度一致。用于实施热处理的设备被插入到焊接设备和切割设备之间。申请CH 695 937 A5提出的方法的一个缺陷是实施有效热处理所需的时间。层压板的厚度越大,所需的时间越长,因此提出的方法并不适用于厚的层压板,也不利于高产率。
发明内容
本发明涉及一种用于通过焊接层压板制造圆度改善的管状体的焊接方法。这种焊接方法的特征在于:焊接区域产生形变以增加其面积。
根据本发明的焊接方法包括下述步骤:
-将层压板绕焊条成形;
-加热将要被焊接在一起的层压板的末端;
-将所述末端压在一起;
-使焊接区域变形,从而增加其面积;及
-冷却焊接区域。
在本发明的说明书中,词语“焊接区域”表示在焊接方法中层压板被加热、压缩和冷却的部分。焊接区域不限于层压板形成焊接重叠的部分,更确切地说,焊接区域组成了层压板受焊接操作热影响的部分。
术语“层压板”被理解为表示由若干层塑料或金属层通过层压形成的板。
术语“变形”被理解为表示焊接区域形状的改变,这种改变导致焊接区域的面积增大。
有利地,在将末端压在一起的步骤和使焊接区域变形的步骤之间,末端被冷却,然而并未冷却到环境温度。
根据优选实施方式,焊接区域在纵向(即平行于管轴的方向上)被延伸。
根据第二实施方式,焊接区域在横向(即垂直于管轴的方向上)被延伸。
第三实施方式为结合焊接区域的纵向延伸和横向延伸。
焊接区域的变形补偿所述区域的收缩并释放与所述收缩有关的应力。由此获得的管的圆度高。
延伸焊接区域的操作发生在将要被焊接到一起的末端被加热之后,并在管被冷却至环境温度之前。优选地,变形操作发生在管状体被切割成长度相同的段之前。
有利地,变形操作在于:焊接区域的面积增加的量与所述区域由于加热和冷却的影响而收缩的量相当。该量取决于层压板的属性,具体地,取决于所述层压板的组成薄膜。对于大体上在纵向收缩的层压板来说,焊接区域的变形可以高达1-2%。
优选地,该焊接方法包括回火整个管状体。有利地是,在焊接区域的变形期间,管状体被回火到50℃-95℃之间。
本发明的一种变化包括焊接管的后处理,所述后处理包括至少一个延伸焊接区域的操作。

具体实施方式
图1示出了存在本发明能够克服的不圆度缺陷的管状体的横截面。使用现有技术中已知的方法焊接且如专利WO 2004/039561和CH 695 937 A5中描述的那样在焊接方法之前或之后不进行操作而制造的管状体导致了横截面的缺陷。通过焊接层压板2得到管状体1,层压板2的焊接末端在焊接区域3形成重叠。据观察,不圆度缺陷4和5接近焊接区域3且全面地影响管状体的圆度。本发明还使得有可能提高通过将层压板的末端对接焊在一起形成的管状体的圆度。
可以注意到,不圆度缺陷4和5出现在焊接方法期间,尤其当焊接区域被冷却时。还可以注意到,焊接缺陷出现在冷却期间且与焊接区域的热收缩有关,所述收缩具有产生应力和使圆形横截面变形的影响。
本发明由这种焊接方法组成:该方法使得能够补偿焊接区域的收缩并由此防止产生使管状体变形的应力。为此,焊接方法在除标准加热之外还包括:压缩和冷却操作,延伸焊接区域的操作。当焊接区域的强度大到足以被延伸,但在焊接区域被完全冷却之前,有利于在冷却期间内进行焊接区域的延伸。伸展操作在于:将焊接区域延伸与所述区域在加热和冷却的影响下的收缩相对应的量。该量取决于层压板的属性,尤其是所述层压板的组成薄膜的属性。对于大体上在纵向收缩的层压板,焊接区域的延伸可以高达1%-2%。
除延伸焊接区域的操作之外,降低焊接区域和管状体其余部分的之间的温度差异是有利的。已经发现,通过降低这种温度差异,有可能推迟与焊接区域的收缩有关的应力的出现,并由此推迟延伸焊接区域的操作。当所述区域的温度接近管状体的其他部分温度时,延伸焊接区域是有利的。在PE(聚乙烯)管状体产品中,该温度在50℃-95℃之间,优选地在60℃-80℃之间。
延伸焊接区域的操作发生在将要被焊接到一起的末端被加热之后,但在管被冷却到环境温度之前。有利地是,在管状体被切割成长度相同的段之前进行伸展操作。在连续焊接方法中,该方法始于以卷筒的形式缠绕的层压板,本发明在于:展开层压板;将层压板绕焊条成形;加热将要被焊接到一起的层压板的末端;相对彼此压缩将要被焊接到一起的末端;至少部分地冷却焊接区域;延伸焊接区域;以及将管状体切割成用于接合头部的圆柱形裙部。层压板在焊接操作期间回火从而降低焊接区域和形成管状体的非焊接部分的层压板之间的热梯度。层压板可以通过焊接条方便地加热,层压板绕所述焊接条成形。另一种回火层压板的方法是使用热空气,将其吹送到层压板的外表面或内表面。对于包括铝箔的层压板,可通过在铝箔中引入电流来加热层压板。
本发明的第一实施方式由包括纵向延伸焊接区域的操作的焊接方法组成,所述纵向即与所述管状体的横截面垂直的方向。在层压板匀速地在焊条上运动的方法中,延伸焊接区域的第一实例是改变焊接区域的速度。举例来说,这种速度变化是通过由位于焊接区域内的驱动辊组成的设备实现的,驱动辊的转速差具有延伸焊接区域的效果。用于在纵向延伸焊接区域的该方法的第二实例和设备在图2中示出。焊条6的横截面视图示出了插入焊条中的该设备,所述横截面视图与焊条的轴平行。该设备由一组焊条外部的辊7和焊条内的辊8形成,辊7和辊8共同作用以延伸焊接区域3。仅焊接区域3被延伸,形成管状体的层压板2并不变形。由辊7施加的压力调整焊接区域3的延伸,所述压力具有修正焊接区域3的路径的效果。根据层压板和焊接速度调整辊7和8的数量和直径。根据焊接区域的宽度调整辊7和8的宽度。
本发明的第二实施方式由包括横向延伸焊接区域的操作的焊接方法组成,所述横向即与管的轴垂直的方向。图3示出了用于横向延伸焊接区域的设备的一个实例。焊条6的横截面视图示出了插入焊条中的该设备,所述横截面与焊条的轴垂直。该设备由一组焊条外部的辊7和位于焊条内的辊8形成,辊7和辊8共同作用以延伸焊接区域3。仅焊接区域3被延伸,形成管状体的层压板2并不变形。由辊7施加的压力调整焊接区域3的延伸,所述压力具有横向延伸焊接区域的效果。根据层压板和焊接速度调整辊7和8的数量和直径。根据焊接区域的宽度调整辊7和8的宽度。
本发明的第三实施方式在于:纵向地且横向地延伸焊接区域3。可通过依次使用图3和图4中示出的设备来实施第三实施方式。也可以使用能够同时纵向和横向延伸的设备。
本发明的第一、第二和第三实施方式使得能够补偿焊接区域在冷却时的收缩并且能够防止使管状体变形的收缩应力。在延伸后,管状体被均匀地冷却至环境温度,其中管状体的温度优选地在其整个周边上都是均匀的。这使得形成了一个不存在不圆度缺陷的管状体。图5示出了这种管状体的横截面,其中,已经消除了接近焊接区域3的不圆度缺陷。
在层压板不在焊接操作期间内移动的制造方法中,许多将张力施加到焊接区域内的设备可用于产生形变。这些设备在于:阻止焊接区域的一端,并拉动另一端。大部分拉紧原理和机制都可以被改动以实施这种操作。
在本发明的情况下,一般优选地,仅仅使焊接区域变形,尤其是当层压板被印刷时,这是由于整体地使层压板变形的操作可能产生损坏印刷的影响。然而,在某些情况下,可整体地延伸管。
本发明的一种变化由焊接管的后处理组成,所述后处理包括至少一个延伸焊接区域的操作。后处理操作在于:均匀地加热管状体到60℃-95℃之间;延伸焊接区域;使管状体成形;冷却管状体。焊接区域的延伸可以是纵向和/或横向的。成形操作在于使管状体的横截面为圆形,成形操作有可能由于下述方法来实施:施加外部压力;施加外部真空;或者通过使用心轴。
如图4所示,根据本发明描述的方法获得的管状体的圆度提高了。管状体1由层压板2形成,层压板2的末端已经被焊接在一起,本发明适用于末端的搭焊或者对接焊。

Claims (12)

1.一种用于制造柔性管状塑料体的焊接层压板的方法,其中,该方法包括下述操作:
将层压板绕焊条成形;
加热将要被焊接的层压板末端;
将所述末端压在一起并至少部分地冷却;
使焊接区域变形,从而增加其面积;及
冷却焊接区域。
2.如权利要求1所述的方法,在将末端压在一起的步骤和使焊接区域变形的步骤之间,末端被冷却,然而并未冷却至环境温度。
3.如权利要求1或2所述的方法,其中,焊接区域在平行于管轴的方向上被延伸。
4.如权利要求1、2和3之一所述的方法,其中,焊接区域在垂直于管轴的方向上被延伸。
5.如权利要求4所述的方法,其中,焊接区域在平行于管轴的方向上和垂直于管轴的方向上被延伸。
6.如任一在先权利要求所述的方法,在冷却焊接区域的步骤之后还包括一个步骤:切割管状体,由此形成若干相同的段。
7.如任一在先权利要求所述的方法,其中焊接区域的变形大体上相当于所述区域在加热和冷却的影响下的收缩。
8.如任一在先权利要求所述的方法,其中层压板被回火。
9.如权利要求8所述的方法,其中在使焊接区域变形的步骤期间,层压板以50℃-95℃的温度回火。
10.用于制造柔性管状塑料体的设备,该设备包括焊条、适于加热绕所述焊条布置的层压板末端的加热装置以及用于将所述末端压在一起的装置,其特征在于,所述设备包括用于增加所述层压板的焊接区域的面积的变形装置。
11.如权利要求10所述的设备,其中变形装置被设计成使所述焊接区域在平行于焊条的轴的方向上变形。
12.如权利要求10所述的设备,其中变形装置被设计成使所述焊接区域在垂直于焊条的轴的方向上变形。
