Abstract

【技术领域】
本发明涉及一种连接器,该连接器适用于具有多根绝缘电线的通讯电缆。
【发明内容】
第一方面,本发明提供了用于端接通讯电缆的连接器,该连接器包括端接组件,该端接组件包括用于容纳电缆电线的多个接线触头(wire receiving contact);束紧固定装置(lacing fixture),其具有多个接线空间(wire receiving space)并用于引导电线与接线触头接合;以及切割刀片,其具有切割部分和主体部分;其中,端接组件和束紧固定装置被设置为,随着它们被组装到一起,保持在束紧固定装置内的电线移位通过刀片的切割部分并与接线触头相接合,该刀片横向延伸至电线并切断过长的电线,其特征在于,刀片的主体部分完全定位在接线触头之前,用于切割电线与触头接合以进一步移位过刀片的主体部分。
组装之后,刀片可以用于将电线屏蔽在连接器中而使其免受外部电磁辐射。
该连接器还可以包括束紧固定装置中的凹槽,该凹槽在组装连接器时容纳切割刀片的切割部分。
该连接器还可以包括与切割刀片以某一角度布置的表面,用以在组装连接器过程中协助推出(ejection)切割电线末端。
该连接器可以是插座。
接线触头可以是绝缘置换触头(insulation displacing contact)。
当束紧固定装置和端接组件组装在一起时,其各自可具有相互重叠的金属体。
该连接器可以包括两个切割刀片。
可以将该刀片设置在连接器的相对侧上。
该连接器可以包括内部屏蔽装置,该内部屏蔽装置提供电线对之间的屏蔽。
上述连接器可以被布置用以端接电线对1,2或4。

根据本发明,在定位接线触头之前对切割刀片进行定位具有诸多优点:减小电线切割力和插入力,并避免导线的割断端与刀片主体的后继短路接触。

【具体实施方式】
参照图1,所示出的外罩20包括优选地通过压铸工艺由Zamak金属或其它金属或导电材料形成的盖体21。外罩20还包括塑料束紧固定装置22,该塑料束紧固定装置具有总共八个用以容纳四对电线的接线空间23。外罩20还包括能在打开位置和夹紧位置之间移动的弹簧加载线夹具25。图1中,所示线夹具25处于夹紧位置。外罩包括容纳将要端接的电缆的孔14。
参照图1A,单独示出了线夹具25,该线夹具包括销18,该销与外罩内部的凹槽(未示出)接合,从而将该销保持在自由位置或未插入电线位置。参照图1B,线夹具25的下表面19包括容纳压缩弹簧15的凹槽17。当被安装在盖体21中时,弹簧15用于向着夹紧位置偏置线夹具25。在压缩弹簧15的作用力下通过线夹具25将电缆挤压于凹槽16的下缘与凹槽14的上缘之间来夹紧该电缆。此类电缆夹在已公开的专利说明书WO2005/104300也作了描述。
参照图2,所示出的端接组件30包括同样由Zamak金属或其它金属或导电材料形成的壳体31。端接组件30包括绝缘置换触头32形式的多个接线触头,这些绝缘置换触头被成对地安装在使其与壳体31电绝缘的触头托架33中。绝缘置换触头与连接器40电连接或者能够是壳体31中的相同金属部件(见图8),当使用时该壳体形成由防尘罩37保护的插座的一部分。端接组件还包括安装在壳体31内的上切割刀片34和下切割刀片74,这些切割刀片各自具有刀刃35,75形式的切割部分和作为各刀片其余部分的主体部分。
外罩20和端接组件30可以组装在一起以形成端接电缆的连接器。现在将描述连接器的组装。下列描述说明了四对屏蔽双绞线的端接。但是,其它种类的电缆也可由根据本发明的连接器端接。
参照图1,图3和图4,为了通过连接器来端接电缆,线夹具被推到打开位置(如图4所示),且电缆28的末端经由孔14和16被插入。然后,通过从电缆末端移除一定长度的外部绝缘材料、并将金属箔屏蔽罩12向后折叠以露出电缆内部的电线24来制备电缆的末端。随后,将各电线24推入束紧固定装置22的接线空间23中的正确位置(参见图1和图3)。各接线空间包括成对设置在各空间23的相对侧上的一对导槽75。这些导槽在连接器的组装过程中容纳并引导绝缘置换触头。
随后释放线夹具25的销18,并且压缩弹簧15将夹具25偏置至夹紧位置,以便使得金属箔或编织屏蔽罩12的向后折叠部分通过线夹具25被夹紧,从而实现金属箔或编织屏蔽罩与外罩20之间的连续电气连接。
内部屏蔽装置以四分屏蔽罩29(参见图3)的形式被设置在外罩20中,该四分屏蔽罩由Zamak或其它导电材料形成并用于使得每分中的成对电线相互屏蔽,从而减少干扰并提高传输性能。当按照如下所述进行组装时,凹槽26容纳切割刀片34的刀刃35。
然后,将外罩20组装到端接组件30。参照图5,所示的外罩20和端接组件30部分地组装在一起。可见刀片34的切割部分35将要切割电线24的自由端,随着外罩20和端接组件30更靠近,自由端被切断并通过角度面38被推出,并且切割刀片34的切割部分35通过凹槽26被容纳。在图5中,随着下刀片74在图中被隐藏(obscure)仅能看见上刀片34,。刀片74与刀片34同时操作以切割在图5中同样看不到的反向电线组。随着外罩20和壳体31一起被推动,导槽75(参见图3)容纳绝缘置换触头32并对它们进行导向而使其与各电线24恰当接合。
参照图6,所示的外罩20和端接组件30完全组装在一起而形成连接器10。销36与孔27接合而将外罩20和端接组件30保持在一起。当进行组装时,盖体21在槽口(rebate)39(参见图5)的区域内与壳体31重叠。此重叠确保了连接器内部的电线完全屏蔽于外部。
参照图7,能够看到的是,由于刀刃35由凹槽26容纳,因此,现在的刀刃不可见。刀片34与盖体21和壳体31二者重叠,从而将电线屏蔽在连接器内部。
参照图9,以横截面示出了所组装的连接器。能够看到的是,刀片34与盖体21和壳体31重叠,从而屏蔽连接器的内部。同样,下刀片74与盖体21和壳体31重叠并同样屏蔽连接器的内部。此外,能够看到的是,电线24的自由端在组装过程中已被推动过刀片34,74。电线24的自由端面向空间50和80,这些空间避免电线24和壳体31之间电接触的风险。
在上述实施例中,接线触头为破坏电线周围的绝缘以实现电接触的绝缘置换触头。同样,可在组件之前剥去电缆电线的末端,且可使用非置换型触头。

最后,应当理解的是,在不脱离本发明的精神或范围的前提下,可对前述部件进行各种变型或附加。
Claims (16)
1、一种用于端接通讯电缆的连接器,其包括:
端接组件,其包括用于容纳电缆电线的多个接线触头;
束紧固定装置,其具有多个接线空间并用于引导电线与接线触头接合;以及
具有切割部分和主体部分的切割刀片;
其中,端接组件和束紧固定装置被设置为,随着它们被组装到一起,保持在束紧固定装置内的电线移位通过刀片的切割部分并与接线触头相接合,该刀片横向延伸至电线并切断过长的电线,其特征在于,刀片的主体部分完全定位在接线触头之前,用于切割电线与触头接合以进一步移位过刀片的主体部分。
2、根据权利要求1所述的连接器,其中在组装之后,刀片可用于将电线屏蔽在连接器中以避免外部电磁辐射。
3、根据权利要求1或2任一所述的连接器,该连接器还包括束紧固定装置中的凹槽,该凹槽在组装连接器时容纳切割刀片的切割部分。
4、根据权利要求3所述的连接器,其还包括与切割刀片以某一角度而设置的表面,用以协助在连接器的组装过程中切割电线末端的推出。
5、根据前述权利要求任一项所述的连接器,其中该连接器为插座。
6、根据前述权利要求任一项所述的连接器,其中该接线触头为绝缘置换触头。
7、根据前述权利要求所述任一项的连接器,其中当束紧固定装置和端接组件组装在一起时,其各自可具有相互重叠的金属体。
8、根据前述权利要求所述任一项的连接器,该连接器包括至少两个切割刀片。
9、根据权利要求8所述的连接器,其中该刀片被设置在连接器的相对侧上。
10、根据前述权利要求任一项所述的连接器,该连接器包括内部屏蔽装置,该内部屏蔽装置提供电线对之间的屏蔽。
11、根据权利要求10所述的连接器,该连接器被布置于端接1对、2对或4对电线。
12、一种用于根据前述权利要求任一项所述的连接器的外罩,该外罩包括能容纳切割刀片的切割部分的凹槽。
13、根据权利要求12所述的外罩,其还包括以某一角度设置用于协助推出切割电线末端的表面。
14、一种用于在根据权利要求1到11中任一项所述的连接器中使用的端接组件,其包括用于容纳通讯电缆电线的所述多个接线触头,以及具有切割部分和主体部分的所述切割刀片,
其中由于端接组件被设置为与所述束紧固定装置组装在一起,从而,随着它们被组装到一起,保持在束紧固定装置内的电线移位通过刀片的切割部分并与接线触头相接合,该刀片横向延伸至电线并切断过长的电线,其特征在于,刀片的主体部分完全定位在接线触头之前,用于切割电线与触头接合以进一步移位过刀片的主体部分。
15、根据权利要求14所述的端接组件,该端接组件包括两个切割刀片。
16、一种电缆,所述电缆通过权利要求1到11中任一项所述的连接器进行端接。
