Abstract

1.- Un conector para terminar un cable de comunicaciones que incluye: un ensamble de terminación que presenta una pluralidad de contactos receptores de hilos metálicos para alojar hilos metálicos de un cable; una pieza de acordonamiento con un número de espacios receptores de hilos metálicos y que se usa para guiar los hilos metálicos para que empalmen con los contactos receptores de hilos metálicos; y una cuchilla de corte que cuenta con una porción cortante y una porción de cuerpo; en donde el ensamble de terminación y la pieza de acordonamiento se montan de tal modo que, a medida que se ensamblan entre sí, los hilos metálicos aprisionados en la pieza de acordonamiento se desplazan más allá de la porción cortante de la cuchilla y empalman con los contactos receptores de hilos metálicos, cuchilla que se extiende transversalmente a los hilos metálicos y que corta el exceso de hilo metálico, caracterizado porque la porción de cuerpo de la cuchilla se localiza suficientemente delante de los contactos receptores de hilos metálicos para que los hilos metálicos cortados, empalmados con los contactos, se desplacen todavía más allá de la porción de cuerpo de la cuchilla. 2.- Un conector según la reivindicación 1 en donde, luego del ensamblaje, la cuchilla sirve para blindar los hilos metálicos dentro del conector contra la radiación electromagnética externa. 3.- Un conector según la reivindicación 1 o la reivindicación 2, que incluye además una cavidad en la pieza de acordonamiento, que aloja la porción cortante de una cuchilla de corte cuando el conector está ensamblado.
