详细描述

根据本发明的各方面,用于响应于预配置的用户输入或姿势标识要在计算系统上执行的操作的计算机可执行指令可被存储在计算系统中的计算机可读介质中。计算机可执行指令可在设备驱动器级、操作系统级、应用程序级或其他级执行。
在一个示例中,在设备驱动器级,可调整触摸设备的频率特性以允许多个并发触摸屏接触。例如,以133赫兹(hz)报告单个触摸屏接触的常规触摸屏设备可被调整成各自以66hz报告两个并发的触摸屏接触。在另一示例中,可各自以44hz报告三个并发触摸屏接触。尽管根据本发明各方面的该实施例对于变化数目的触摸屏接触缩放良好,但它通过在多个并发触摸屏接触之间划分恒定的报告频率降低了输入分辨率。
在另一示例中,在设备驱动器级,触摸屏设备所提供的分组大小增加以容纳多个并发的触摸屏接触。例如,代替在给定更新中报告具有信息(例如,1千字节信息)的单个触摸屏接触,系统在携带10千字节信息的分组中报告十个并发的触摸屏接触。该方法的缺点在于,除非用户恒定提供10个并发的触摸屏接触,否则就会浪费分组大小。而且,在某些系统中,驱动器被限于报告有限数目的并发触摸屏接触。优点在于假定总线支持增加的分组大小,报告频率不会被更改。
在又一示例中,在设备驱动器级,触摸屏设备可展示两个逻辑设备,一个类似于传统触摸屏设备运作的逻辑设备(例如,报告单个触摸屏接触的数字化仪)和报告关于多个并发触摸屏接触的所有信息的另一逻辑设备。在该示例中,应用程序可用适当的请求,例如包括触摸屏接触的数目、给定触摸屏接触的属性等的请求来从设备和/或驱动器取得所有信息。在另一示例中,所返回的所有信息可以是对应于交互式显示设备屏幕上的每个像素的触摸屏接触的图像(例如,示出每个像素的压力或距设备的距离的灰度级图像)。在以上示例的变化中,如果包括额外的标志以指示额外数据的存在与否,则第二逻辑设备可能是不必要的。应用程序或操作系统然后可选择来例如使用IOCTL检索额外的数据。
根据本发明的各个方面,可使用算法和试探法来接收和处理输入和/或姿势。例如,在某些示例中,计算设备上的应用程序可使用手掌拒绝试探法来预测何时应忽视触摸屏接触。例如,如果触摸屏接触的大小属性过大(例如,如同手的手掌),则忽视该接触可能是有利的。在另一示例中,计算设备上的应用程序可期望完全忽视多个并发接触。在这样的实例中,计算设备的操作系统可维护关于应用程序和用户的状态的信息。在本发明的某些实施例中,在设备驱动器与操作系统之间划分计算逻辑也可能是有利的。本领域的技术人员将理解,跟踪多个触摸接触属性以例如确定何时手指在触摸屏上重复轻击可能是有利的。可向姿势或输入分派一致的光标标识符。
此外,本领域的技术人员将理解,提供应用程序编程员接口(API)以连接并利用本发明各方面的众多特征和功能可能是有利的。例如,诸如StylusDown、Packet和SytlusUp等标准通知可用于向操作系统请求关于多个并发触摸屏接触的所有信息。此外,可在根据本发明的各方面配置的计算系统中使用用于现有平台框架(例如,RealTimeStylus)的一组现成的控件和预置的插件。

Claims (20)
1.在包括触摸屏设备(114)的计算系统(100)中,一种用于响应于从所述触摸屏设备(114)的用户接收到的输入在所述计算系统(100)上执行操作的计算机实现的方法,其中所述触摸屏设备包括交互式显示设备(204),所述方法包括:
从触摸屏设备的用户接收输入(302),所述输入包括多个并发的触摸屏接触;
处理所述输入(304),其中处理包括标识所述多个并发触摸屏接触的属性以及标识要响应于所述输入执行的操作;以及
响应于所述输入,如果所述输入被预配置成对应于切换辅助功能操作(306),则在计算系统上执行所述操作(308)。
2.如权利要求1所述的方法,其特征在于,触摸指针窗口小部件(602)在交互式显示设备(204)上的可见性响应于所述切换辅助功能操作来切换。
3.如权利要求1所述的方法,其特征在于,所述多个并发触摸屏接触的属性指示两个手指与所述触摸屏设备接触。
4.如权利要求3所述的方法,其特征在于,所述两个手指是用户手上的食指和中指。
5.如权利要求1所述的方法,其特征在于,所述计算系统被预配置有所述切换触摸指针窗口小部件操作(508)与对应于指示两个手指与所述触摸屏设备接触的多个并发触摸屏接触的属性的输入(506)之间的映射(500)。
6.如权利要求1所述的方法,其特征在于,所述计算系统是图形输入板(208)。
7.在包括触摸屏设备(114)的计算系统(100)中,一种用于响应于从所述触摸屏设备(114)的用户接收到的姿势在所述计算系统(100)上执行操作的计算机实现的方法,其中所述触摸屏设备包括交互式显示设备(204),所述方法包括:
从触摸屏设备的用户接收姿势(402),所述姿势包括沿大体预定义的模式改变的多个并发触摸屏接触;
处理所述姿势(404),其中处理包括标识所述多个并发触摸屏接触的属性以及标识要响应于所述姿势执行的操作;以及
响应于所述姿势,如果所述姿势被预配置成对应于屏幕旋转操作(406),则在计算系统上执行所述操作(408)。
8.如权利要求7所述的方法,其特征在于,所述多个并发触摸屏接触的属性指示除大拇指以外的四指中至少一个手指和大拇指与所述触摸屏设备(114)接触。
9.如权利要求7所述的方法,其特征在于,所述多个并发触摸屏接触的属性指示除大拇指以外的四个手指和大拇指(502)与所述触摸屏设备(114)接触。
10.如权利要求9所述的方法,其特征在于,所述大体预定义模式是所述多个并发触摸屏接触沿所述触摸屏设备(114)的表面按大体半圆形路径的位置改变。
11.如权利要求7所述的方法,其特征在于,所述大体预定义模式是所述多个并发触摸屏接触沿所述触摸屏设备(114)的表面按大体半圆形路径的位置改变。
12.如权利要求7所述的方法,其特征在于,所述交互式显示设备(204)上显示的所有可视对象响应于所述屏幕旋转操作按预定角度旋转。
13.如权利要求7所述的方法,其特征在于,所述计算机系统是图形输入板(208)。
14.供在包括计算机可读介质和含有交互式显示设备(204)的触摸屏设备(114)的计算系统(100)中使用的一种存储计算机可执行指令的计算机可读介质,所述指令用于执行以下步骤:
从触摸屏设备的用户接收姿势(402),所述姿势包括沿大体预定义的模式改变的多个并发触摸屏接触;
处理所述姿势(404),其中处理包括标识所述多个并发触摸屏接触的属性以及标识要响应于所述姿势执行的操作;以及
响应于所述姿势,如果所述姿势被预配置成对应于屏幕旋转操作(406),则在计算系统上执行所述操作(408)。
15.如权利要求14所述的计算机可读介质,其特征在于,所述多个并发触摸屏接触的属性指示除大拇指以外四指中的至少一个手指和大拇指与所述触摸屏设备接触。
16.如权利要求14所述的计算机可读介质,其特征在于,所述多个并发触摸屏接触的属性指示除大拇指以外的四个手指和大拇指与所述触摸屏设备接触。
17.如权利要求16所述的计算机可读介质,其特征在于,所述大体预定义模式是所述多个并发触摸屏接触沿所述触摸屏设备的表面按大体半圆形路径的位置改变。
18.如权利要求14所述的计算机可读介质,其特征在于,所述大体预定义模式是所述多个并发触摸屏接触沿所述触摸屏设备的表面按大体半圆形路径的位置改变。
19.如权利要求14所述的计算机可读介质,其特征在于,所述交互式显示设备(204)上显示的所有可视对象响应于所述屏幕旋转操作按预定角度旋转。
20.如权利要求14所述的计算机可读介质,其特征在于,所述计算机系统是图形输入板(208)。
