这样的燃油箱例如被设计为鞍形油箱并且在实践中为人熟知。喷射泵在此用于将燃油从相对应的室中输送到输送单元,或者输送到容纳输送单元的室中。输送单元常常具有一个用于收集燃油并可被其他的喷射泵注满的防旋流箱。已知的是,即基于在供给管道中设置的压力调节装置的信号以及进而基于燃油的消耗调节输送单元的输送量,从而避免燃油在燃油箱中不必要的四处泵送。然而输送单元在特别小的消耗时也必须要维持向喷射泵输送燃油并且进而保证最小的输送量。这在通常情况下利用最低的泵转速来实现。随着室的数量的增加,最低输送量也会因为喷射泵的数量的增加而提高。
已经公开的燃油箱的缺点是,通过由喷射泵的数量确定的输送单元的输送量,大量的燃油向燃油箱运动。另外在燃油箱几乎空的时候,甚至当在各个室中没有燃油的时候,所有的喷射泵也会通过动力燃料管道被供给燃油。这种运动导致泡沫的形成以及导致燃油气化的加剧,这导致很多的燃油渗透到燃油箱周围。
本发明的目的是设计一种开头所述类型的燃油箱,保持燃油尽可能少的运动。
根据本发明的目的这样的实现,即在多个室中分别设置一个用于确定各个室中燃油液位的液位传感器,以及设置一个用于减少向处于几乎空了的室中的喷射泵的燃油输送的装置。
利用这种设计,在燃油箱的一个或者多个室空了的情况下可以这样降低输送量,即喷射泵获得很少的燃油或者完全不能获取燃油。对喷射泵的燃油输送的减少导致在燃油箱中燃油运动的减少。不必在每个单一的室中各自设置一个带有液位传感器的喷射泵。在其中一些室中设置有喷射泵和液位传感器时也就足够了。
根据本发明的一个有利的改进方案,当在一个室几乎空了的情况下形成用于降低输送单元的输送量的控制单元时,用于降低输送的装置的结构变得特别的简单。借此输送单元的输送量可以根据本发明的燃油箱的各个室中的燃油液位来相匹配。

根据本发明的另一个有利的改进方案,当阀可以由液位传感器的浮子来进行开关的时候,喷射泵可以各自简单地与液位传感器和阀共同构成一个结构性的单元。在最简单的情况下,阀的关闭体通过连杆与浮子连接就足够了。这降低了根据本发明的燃油箱的装配复杂度。
根据本发明的另一个有利的改进方案,当液位传感器出现故障时,通过在液位传感器故障时用于将输送单元转换到最大泵送量和/或者用于打开在动力燃料管道中设置的阀的装置,可以简单地避免输送单元的无燃油运行。

20.根据权利要求19所述的燃油箱,其特征在于,一装置,所述装置在一个所述液位传感器(11,12)发生故障时用于将所述输送单元(3)转换到最大泵送量和/或者用于开启在所述动力燃料管道(20,21)中设置的阀(24,25)。
