Abstract

Description

双节冷却剂密封垫
本发明涉及的是在轧钢机的油膜轴承上采用的密封装置的改进的冷却剂密封垫。
在图1中给出的4,455,856号美国专利(Sulter,et al),描述了一种轧机油膜轴承用的密封装置。轧辊10的端面12与中间锥形部分14连接,而中间锥形部份14是与被轴套18包围的直径减小部分16连接,轴套是用键连接或牢固装在辊颈上。并且轴套支撑在轧辊轴承座22里的衬套20中。对轴套和衬套的轴承交界面连续不停地供油。通常用标号24代表的密封装置包围中间锥形辊颈部14,这密封装置可防止油由轴承中流出和防止污染物如冷却水,轧屑等渗入轴承中。
密封装置包括有圆形柔性带有法兰的辊颈密封垫26,抛油环28,密封端板30和冷却剂密封垫32。辊颈密封垫26和抛油环28装在辊颈上,与辊颈一同旋转。而密封端板30和冷却剂密封垫32则与轧辊轴承座22固定。
冷却剂密封垫32的径向底部法兰34在其内缘,比如在36处与倾斜延伸的密封法兰38是整体地连接在一起的。法兰38的端部有尖的密封唇部39密封地与轧辊端面12接触。螺钉42从底部法兰的孔40穿过,并拧入密封端板30。底部法兰34有整体的圆形肩部44沿轴向向轧辊端面12伸出。由于轧辊向轴承座轴向“浮动”到极限位置,轧辊端面可能靠在肩部上,而肩部44可作为一个缓冲器。
尽管以上所述装置的工作状态,一般来说还是令人满意的,但可惜有一些缺点,例如,当轧辊向密封端板30轴向移动时,密封唇部39的原直径D增大至D,密封唇部39承受显著的径向伸胀。以上的情况会在密封唇部39产生显著的圆周应力。因而引起密封唇部39在轧辊端面12承受更大的压力。这增大的压力引起发热和摩擦增加,加快磨损。此外,在极限的情况下,如图2所示,增加的圆周应力将引起密封法兰“鼓起”如44处。这情况将更增加密封法兰的摩擦,发热及加快磨损。另外,在螺钉42处,增加的圆周应力可以将底部法兰34,拉离密封端板的端部。因此形成一空隙46,冷却剂及混入污染物从这空隙46渗入轴承中。
本发明的目的是提供一种冷却剂密封垫,它可以排除或大大减少上述存在的问题,当轧辊向密封端板移动时,可减少密封垫的摩擦、发热和磨损,延长其密封寿命,并可保持密封垫底法兰与密封端板的密封接合。
按照本发明,密封法兰具有两个相互倾斜偏置的第一和第二部分,这两部分由中间铰链部分互连在一起。当密封唇部被辊端面推向密封端板时,对密封法兰的外形,柔性及弹性的要求必须使铰链部分可经受轴向移动和径向伸胀。因而引起密封唇部随着作显著的轴向移动,但是连带的径向伸胀非常小。在密封唇部,大部分的径向伸胀和连带增加的圆周应力转移到铰链部分之后,在轧辊端面的唇部压力大大减低。因而减少摩擦,发热和磨损的影响。
密封唇部最好是圆形状的,这样可更进一步减低摩损。
从以下参照附图对本发明的描述,可以更清楚了解本发明的主要目的及其优点。
图1是装有先有技术的冷却剂密封垫的轧机油膜轴承装置的局部剖面图。
图2是图1中先有技术的冷却剂密封垫的局部放大剖面图,显示了密封垫变形的程度。这是由于轧辊端面移向密封端板引起的。
图3是本发明改进的冷却剂密封垫的剖面图。
图4是显示本发明的冷却剂密封垫对轧辊端面引起的变形所起的反应。
本发明的最佳实施方案将参照图3和图4来描述。在轴承装置中其元件和图1和图2相同的则用相同的标号来表示。
冷却剂密封垫50,包括位于底平面Pb内径向伸延的圆形底法兰52。底法兰有一个孔54。当把密封垫固定在密封端板30时,这孔是供安装螺钉42之用。通常用标号56代表柔性的圆形密封法兰。而柔性圆形密封法兰是整体与底法兰的一边58接合。密封法兰有弹性地由底法兰伸延至其对边的圆唇部60处。唇部60的位置是在密封平面Ps上,与底平面Pb有轴向距离。并与底平面Pb平行。因而轧辊端面12与圆唇部60接触。
密封法兰56包括有两个相互倾斜偏置的第一和第二部分56a和56b,用中间的铰链部分56c连结一起。第一部分56a从底平面Pb倾斜向外并向内向密封轴“a”伸展。而这第一部分56a终止于中间的铰链部分56c,而第二部分56b从铰链部分倾斜向外离开密封轴并向密封平面Ps延伸。
最好是第一部分56a的宽度W比第二部分56b的宽度W小。另外第二部分的厚度t最好是由邻近密封唇部60的最大尺寸向着邻近铰链部分56c的最小尺寸减少。这使第二部分的接近唇部部分比第二部分的其余部分及第一部分有更强的刚性。
冷却剂密封垫50是由橡胶或是类似的,单性材料模压出来的。最好是底法兰52的硬度比密封法兰56的硬度大。
如图4所示,由于密封唇部60被轧辊端12压向底法兰52,而引起冷却剂密封垫50变形时,密封法兰56的外形柔性及弹性的作用,将使铰链部分56c有倾斜的行程“X”。行程“X”有径向分量Xr和轴向分量Xa。铰链56c的径向和轴向一同移位,将令密封唇部〈&&〉作主要的轴向行程Y。但*带的径向伸胀则很小。因此,通常伴随着〈&&〉的径向伸胀的圆周应力从密封〈&&〉56c中去。其〈&&〉,轧辊端面12和密封唇部的接触压力与图1和2所示先有技术的冷却剂密封垫的压力相比较要小很多。这比较小的接触压力,只产生适度的摩擦和发热。因此有效地延长密封寿命。另一优点是在第二个部分56b的唇部附近有增加厚度t。虽然产生接触摩擦热,但第二部分56b提供一个很大的散热通道。
本发明的另一优点是密封法兰的外形,柔性及弹性可容纳轧辊的轴向浮动而不至破坏底法兰52及底法兰52与密封端板30的密封接合。即是说,底法兰52是有效地与密封法兰56所受的弯曲力矩隔离。
密封唇部60圆形的外形亦有另一优点。这外形将促进唇部和轧辊端面的线接触。任何磨损,将会减低和更加均匀。

Claims (5)

1、一种圆形冷却剂密封垫,它包括一圆形底法兰(52)和一柔性的弹性圆形密封法兰(56),底法兰(52)配置在与该密封垫轴线a垂直的底平面Pb上,并有一供安装螺钉(42)之用的孔(54),密封法兰(56)具有离开轴线a,向外倾斜延伸的第二部分(56b),其端部有一密封唇部(60),其特征是,密封法兰56还具有一中间铰链部分(56c),和一由底法兰(52)向外倾斜地并向内地向轴线a延伸的第一部分(56a),中间铰链部分(56c),把与底法兰相连接的第一部分(56a)和第二部分(56b)连接成一整体,这样的结构能在密封唇部(60)相对底法兰(52)轴向位移的同时,使铰链部分(56c)产生轴向和径向的位移。
2、按照权利要求1所述的密封垫,其特征是上述第一部分(56a)的宽度(w1)小于第二部分(56b)的宽度(w2)。
3、按照权利要求1或2所述的密封垫,其特征是第二部分(56b)的厚度从上述唇部(60)向上述铰链部分(56c)减小。
4、按照权利要求3所述的密封垫,其特征是上述唇部(60)有圆形的外形。
5、按照权利要求4所述的密封垫,其特征是第二部分(56b)在邻近唇部(60)的部分的刚度,比第二部分(56b)中邻近上述铰链部分(56c)的部分以及上述第一部分(56a)的刚度要大些。
