Abstract

<p>Un método para regenerar un catalizador de carbono activado que se usa en la producción de licor de polisulfuro. En el método, el catalizador es lavado con un líquido de lavado para eliminar el sedimento acumulado en el catalizador. De acuerdo con el presente invento, en este caso, el catalizador de carbono activado es regenerado de forma más adecuada llevándolo a un lavado en múltiples etapas que comprende por lo menos un paso de lavado en el que el líquido de lavado utilizado comprende sulfuro de sodio y un paso de lavado en el que se utiliza líquido de lavado ácido. El precipitado de azufre es desprendido utilizando sulfuro de sodio y el hierro y otros metales pueden ser eliminados eficazmente usando un lavado ácido, sin dañar el catalizador</p>
