Boîte de montre étanche
La boîte de montre étanche, objet de la présente invention, est destinée plus spécialement à recevoir un verre en un matériau dur non élastique, tel que le verre, le verre trempé ou le saphir.
La réalisation de l'étanchéité du joint entre la glace et le corps de la boîte a toujours été un problème délicat, de nombreuses solutions ont été proposées qui, en géné- ral, ne donnent pas satisfaction, surtout lorsqu'il s'agit d'une étanchéité complète comme celle nécessaire à des montres destinées à être portées sous l'eau.
On a déjà proposé de presser le bord de la glace contre un paquetage du corps, au moyen d'une lunette vissée sur une saillie annulaire de ce dernier, telle que celle décrite dans le brevet suisse No 399335 et de recouvrir cette lunette par une fausse lunette.
Ces constructions sont compliquées et le verre fait une saillie importante, ce qui, pour une glace en matière dure, crée des risques de casse supplémentaires. On a pourtant déjà proposé des constructions dans lesquelles le verre affleure la lunette mais seulement pour des verres de forme en matière synthétique fixés par cintrage permettant d'introduire un talon du verre dans un cran de section rectangulaire que présente la lunette, un paquetage étant disposé entre le talon et une portée de la lunette bordant le cran. Le paquetage peut en outre être visible pour un observateur regardant la montre obliquement.
La boîte, objet de l'invention, comporte un verre présentant un talon et un paquetage d'étanchéité comprimé entre ce talon et une partie de la boîte, le talon étant ménagé dans l'épaisseur du verre de façon telle que la périphérie de la face supérieure du verre affleure le bord de la lunette, et elle est caractérisée par le fait qu'elle comporte un réhaut retenant et masquant radialement le paquetage d'étanchéité, la partie de la boîte supportant le paquetage présentant un filetage extérieur pour la fixation de la lunette ou de la carrure-lunette maintenant le verre et comprimant le paquetage d'étanchéité.
Ces mesures améliorent la résistance et l'esthétique de l'ensemble; elles mènent à une construction très simple utilisable pour des glaces de toute matière.

La boîte représentée partiellement en fig. 1 est une boîte-calotte et comporte une carrure 1, un verre 2 et une lunette 3, vissés sur cette carrure. Un paquetage d'étanchéité 4 est interposé entre le talon 2a du verre et la partie supérieure de la carrure 1. Le talon 2a de ce verre a été ménagé dans l'épaisseur de ce dernier et sa hauteur est sensiblement égale à la moitié de cette épaisseur. La lunette vissée comporte une saillie 3a, de hauteur sensiblement égale au talon, de façon que la surface supérieure du verre 2 soit sur le même niveau que la partie supérieure de la saillie 3a. Un réhaut S est maintenu sur une portée de la carrure 1 par le paquetage 4, qui sert d'appui au cadran 6 et maintient, comme connu, le mouvement (non représenté) dans la boîte-calotte.
Le vissage de la lunette 3 sur la carrure 1 comprime ce paquetage 4, formant ainsi un joint étanche entre le verre et la carrure,
La boîte représentée partiellement en fig. 2 est une boîte à fond rapporté. Ele comporte une carrure-lunette 11, un verre 12 et une bague filetée 13, vissée dans cette carrure-lunette. Un paquetage d'étanchéité 14 est interposé entre cette bague 13 et le talon 12a du verre 12.
Ce talon 12a a été ménagé dans l'épaisseur du verre et sa hauteur est sensiblement égale à la moitié de cette épaisseur. La carrure 1 1 comporte une saillie Il a, de hauteur sensiblement égale au talon 12a, de façon que la surface supérieure du verre mitoyenne à celle du bord supérieur de la saillie 1 la soit sur un même niveau. La bague 13 forme un réhaut 15 d'appui pour le cadran 16.
Il présente une portée pour le logement du paquetage d'étanchéité 14. Le vissage de la bague 13 sur la carrure 1 1 comprime le paquetage 14 qui fait joint étanche entre le verre et la carrure.
Le paquetage d'étanchéité 4, 14 est de préférence à section rectangulaire, il pourrait présenter toute autre forme assurant une étanchéité parfaite entre carrure et verre.

These constructions are complicated and the glass protrudes significantly, which, for a hard material mirror, creates additional risks of breakage. However, constructions have already been proposed in which the lens is flush with the bezel but only for shaped lenses made of synthetic material fixed by bending allowing a bead of the lens to be introduced into a notch of rectangular section that the bezel has, a package being placed. between the heel and a scope of the bezel bordering the notch. The package may further be visible to an observer looking at the watch sideways.
The box, object of the invention, comprises a lens having a heel and a sealing package compressed between this heel and part of the box, the heel being formed in the thickness of the glass such that the periphery of the upper face of the glass is flush with the edge of the bezel, and it is characterized by the fact that it comprises a flange retaining and radially masking the sealing package, the part of the box supporting the package having an external thread for fixing the seal. the bezel or the middle-bezel holding the glass and compressing the sealing package.
These measures improve the resistance and the aesthetics of the whole; they lead to a very simple construction that can be used for ice creams of any material.

The box shown partially in FIG. 1 is a crown case and comprises a middle part 1, a glass 2 and a bezel 3, screwed onto this middle part.
