Seduced to dye or. Printing of textile fibers made from natural or synthetic polyands using coacervates containing dyes. The subject of the main patent is a process for dyeing or printing textile fibers made from natural or synthetic fibers
Polyamides with wool dyes, which is characterized in that an aqueous preparation is applied to the fiber material which, in addition to the dye, contains a coacervate-forming auxiliary, the quantitative ratio between the auxiliary and the pure water or water containing additives .
the coacervation occurs, and that the phase richer in auxiliaries makes up at least 20% of the aqueous preparation, and that the material treated in this way is then subjected to a treatment in a saturated steam atmosphere of at least 60 ° C. without intermediate drying.
As examples of aids which are capable of coacervation, reaction products are mentioned which are obtained from higher molecular weight fatty acids, preferably those with about 12 carbon atoms, and oxyalkylamines, such as triethanol amine or, in particular, diethanolamine, with the molecular Amount ratio between - = see oxyalkylamine:
Fatty acid is greater than 1, e.g. B. is about 2: 1. Such compounds are described in US Pat. No. 2,089,212. These products already tend to form a two-phase system with water, and this property can still be significantly enhanced by suitable additives such as acetic acid, so that it is easy to obtain a coacervated system.
Suitable fatty acids for the preparation of such auxiliaries are caprylic acid, stearic acid, oleic acid and, in particular, coconut fatty acid. Triethanolamine are suitable as oxyalkylamines; Dioxyethylethylenediamine and especially diethanol'amine or mixtures of these amines.
It has now been found that not only the reaction products of higher molecular weight fatty acids with oxyalkylamines are suitable for the present invention. Your reaction products with ethylene oxide as well as the ethylene oxide decomposition products with higher molecular weight fatty acids,
Higher molecular weight aliphatic alcohols, alkylphenols, higher molecular weight alkyl mercaptans or higher molecular weight aliphatic amines have proven to be. Proven very useful.
The use of Äthylenoxydkondensations- products as. Dyeing auxiliaries have already been proposed in various ways.
The German Auslegeschrift no. 1056 08g, for example, states the use of "mixtures which are made from ethylene oxide products of compounds with a lipophilic residue and acidic esters:
When dyeing wool by the exhaust process, there are water-soluble salts of such condensation products that are water-soluble but free from acidic water-solubilizing groups 1:
2-metal complexes of azo dyes known. The - German patent specification no. 710 228 discloses the use of Äthylenoxydkonden- sätionsprodükten higher aliphatic alcohols in dyebaths or printing pastes, the dye is fixed during printing after intermediate drying by steaming.
The dyeing of wool with sulfonated copper phthalocyanines (French patent specification No. 1 151 113) as well as the dyeing of fibers containing nitrogen with at least disulfonated 1: 2 chromium or cobalt complexes of: azo dyes (French patent specification number 1231 254) is known.
Polyglycol ethers of compounds with at least one are used as an aid. basic nitrogen atom. However, none of these processes teaches how to work with a coacervated two-phase system and to steam without intermediate drying.
In the compounds which can be used according to the invention and which consist of the three components fatty acid, oxyalkylamine and ethylene oxide, the order of the reactions of the three starting materials is arbitrary. For example, valuable results can be achieved if you subsequently add ethylene oxide to the above-mentioned reaction products of a fatty acid and an oxyalkylamine.
However, it is also possible to add ethylene oxide onto a fatty acid oxyalkyl amide, as can be obtained by reacting a fatty acid with an oxyalkylamine in a molecular ratio of 1: 1, and react the adduct obtained, advantageously again in a molecular ratio of 1: 1, with an oxyalkylamine .
Good results can also be achieved if, instead of carrying out the last-mentioned reaction (this is expediently carried out at elevated temperature, e.g. at 130 to 160 ° C. for some time), the adduct of fatty acid alkylolamide and ethylene oxide simply adding an oxyalkylamine.
Also in the case of the auxiliaries to be produced with the use of ethylene oxide, fatty acids such. B. caprylic acid, stearic acid, oleic acid and especially coconut fatty acid, and suitable oxyalkylamines are triethanolamine, dioxyethylethylenediamine and especially diethanolamine,
also mixtures of these amines. A particularly preferred aid is the product that is produced by adding 2 moles of ethylene oxide to 1 time coconut fatty acid (dioxyethyl) amide and reacting the adduct with diethanol. amine is obtained in a molecular ratio of 1: 1, emphasized: Furthermore, in the present process.
Addition products of ethylene oxide with higher molecular weight fatty acids, higher molecular weight aliphatic alcohols, alkylphenols, higher molecular weight alkylcaptans or higher molecular weight aliphatic amines are used as auxiliary agents.
The auxiliaries, which have one of the above-circumscribed compositions, also tend in and of themselves to form a two-phase system with water, and this property can be significantly enhanced by suitable additives, such as acetic acid and / or sodium chloride, so that it is easy succeeds in obtaining a system with an advantageous Mi training gap within the meaning of the above statements.
In the examples below, the parts are parts by weight and the percentages are percentages by weight. Example 1 Combed wool is impregnated with the cold preparation produced as follows through a passage in the gusset of a horizontal two-roll foulard (or on an analog device for soaking and removing excess liquor):
10 g of one of the metal complex dyes listed below are made into a paste with 40 g of the reaction product of 4 mol of ethylene oxide with 1 mol of coconut fatty acid diethanolamide and then poured with 650 cm3 of cold water; then 300 cm3 of alginate thickening 25: 1000 are stirred in.
The squeezed-off wet sliver then immediately passes into a continuously or discontinuously operating steam space which is filled with saturated steam. He stays there for about 10 minutes and then immediately enters a bath at 60 C, which contains 1 cm3 of 25% ammonia per liter. It is then rinsed in warm water and dried.
The wet treatments after steaming and drying can advantageously take place on a so-called Lisseuse. The dyeings obtained do not differ in their hue and fastness properties from dyeings made with the same amount of dye by the exhaust process.
The following are examples of suitable dyes: 1. Complex cobalt compounds (1: 2 complex) of the dye of the formula

Instead of the mentioned dyes free of sulfonic acid groups, such 1:
2-chromium or cobalt complex compounds of azo dyes are used that contain a single acidic, water-dissolving group in the molecule of the metal complex, or those that contain more than. contain an acidic water-solubilizing group. Examples are:
2-chromium complex, containing 1 molecule each of the two azo dyes of the formulas
EMI0004.0012

mentioned. Instead of woolen sliver, woolen piece goods, mixed fabrics of the same can just as well. Parts of wool and crimped polyamide yarn or piece goods consisting of -45 parts of wool and 55 parts of polyester fibers are dyed.
Example 2 A foul liquor is prepared as follows: 20 g each of the blue basic dye of the formula
EMI0004.0032
and the red reactive dye, of the formula
EMI0004.0035
are made into a paste with 40 g of the auxiliary described in Example 1. Then 620 gummed water is added to 300 g of alginate thickening 2-5:
-1.ÖOa -added.- With this liquor, a mixed fabric, the warp of which is made of wool and the weft of polyacrylic nitrile fibers (or vice versa) is fou- fardiert at 50 C and then the fabric is ge for 10 minutes at 100 C without intermediate drying - dampens.
It is then treated in a boiling water bath for one minute; which contains 2 cm3 of 85% formic acid per liter and 0.5 g of an adduct of 35 mol of ethylene oxide with 1 mol of octadecyl alcohol. Last is with a fleet
which contains 1 g of the adduct of 9 moles of ethylene oxide and 1 mole of nonylphenol per liter, washed at 60 ° C. for about 15 minutes.
In the fabric treated in this way, the wool component is colored red and the polyacrylonitrile material is colored blue. Without the use of the auxiliary agent, the wool content is dyed significantly less. Instead of the red reactive dye, the 1: 1 chromium complex of the dye of the formula can also be used
EMI0005.0029
can be used, whereby the wool content is colored orange.
