Zweckmässig verwendet man sogenannte Chromierfarbstoffe.
EMI0002.0052
10 g Kaliumchromat (K2Cr04), 300 g Alginatverdi'ckung (25: 1000), 10 g 40%ige Essigsäure.

EMI0003.0020
5 g Natriumalginat fest, 6 g Natriumchromat, 12 g 40%ige Essigsäure.

Process for dyeing textile fibers made from natural or synthetic polyamides using coacervates containing dye, the subject of main patent no.
386 387 is a process for dyeing or printing textile fibers made of natural or synthetic polyamides with wool dyes and is characterized in that an aqueous preparation is applied to the fiber material which, in addition to the dye, contains a coacervate-forming aid, the proportion between the aid and the pure water or water containing additives is chosen so that coacervation occurs and that the phase richer in auxiliaries makes up at least 20% of the aqueous preparation,
and that the material treated in this way is then subjected to a treatment in a saturated steam atmosphere of at least 60 ° C. without intermediate drying.
In the SVF specialist organ for textile finishing 15, 822 to 835 (1960), the dyeing process, which is the subject of the main patent, is described. Continuous dyeing with metallizable dyes according to the two-phase system is also listed, but only dyeing according to a two-bath process is mentioned.
It has now been found in a further development of this process that the fibers mentioned can also be dyed with metallizable dyes in one operation and these can be metallized if aqueous preparations of the specified composition are used which contain a metallizable dye and a chromium- or cobalt-releasing dye as the wool dye Contain agents, and the steam treatment is carried out at at least 80 C.
As far as the textile fibers and the auxiliaries are concerned, reference is made to the statements of the main patent. The dyes to be used in the present process must be capable of being metallized. You must sen such atom groups contain which, such.
B. o, ö -dioxyazo groups, o-oxy-o'-carboxy azo groups, o-oxy-o'-aminoazo groups, adjacent oxy groups in anthraquinone, salicylic acid and oxyquinoline residues, with chromium or cobalt, are able to form complex metal compounds.
So-called chromating dyes are expediently used. A particular advantage of the present process is that it is also possible to use those dyes with which wool can be dyed in a known manner by the two-bath post-chrome plating process, but not by the single-bath chrome plating process. Another new feature of the present process is the possibility of directly producing cobalt complexes of metallizable dyes on the fiber.
For the dyeing of blended fabrics made of wool and other fibers, in addition to the wool dyes, the dyes customary for the other fibers are used, for acetate silk and polyester fibers, e.g. B. disperse dyes, or direct dyes for cellulose fibers.
As chromium and cobalt releasing agents come in the present process z. B. Salts of these metals. Consider.
Among the chromium-releasing agents, the neutral alkali chromates and ammonium chromate [Na2Cr04, K2Cr04, (NH4) 2Cr04] should be mentioned. Furthermore, complex compounds of chromium and cobalt with oxycarboxylic acids such as tartaric acid, lactic acid, salicylic acid and salicylic acid sulfonic acid come into consideration.
It is also possible to use chromium acetate, which has been adjusted to pH 7 with ammonia; but the stability of such preparations is limited. The oxalato or rhodanato complex salts of chromium can also be used. Cobalt-amine complexes serve well for the production of cobalt-dye complexes.
Such a cobalt-releasing agent, which is particularly well suited for the present process, is obtained if an excess of aqueous ammonia is added to cobalt (2) acetate. At first, cobalt (2) hydroxide precipitates, which dissolves in the excess ammonia with a yellow color. If the excess ammonia is expelled by evaporation on a water bath, the residue turns red under oxidation by the oxygen in the air, with a complex cobalb (3) compound being formed.
The complex cobalt (3) compounds of the formulas [Co (ffl3) GIC @, [Co (NH3) 5C11C12, [Co (NH3) 5 - H20] C13 or [COM3) 4 'Co3] NO3. 1/2 H20 can be used to advantage.
It can be expedient for the aqueous preparation to be applied to the fiber material to contain a thickener. This is to be chosen so that it cannot react with the metal-releasing agents. For example, alginates can cause precipitations in metal-ammine complexes, while they are well tolerated with chromates. If necessary, therefore, indifferent thickening agents such as British gum or tragacanth should be used.
Particularly suitable: in many cases, modified plant mucilages such as carubine ether are used. With regard to the application of the aqueous preparations to the fiber material, the heat treatment, which, however, is carried out at at least 80 ° C., and the subsequent cleaning, the statements in the main patent apply again.
Example 1 A padding liquor is prepared which contains per liter: 40 g of the auxiliary described below, 10 g of dye of the formula
EMI0002.0052
10 g potassium chromate (K2Cr04), 300 g alginate thickening (25: 1000), 10 g 40% acetic acid.
Piece goods are impregnated and squeezed off on the pad-roll machine (Svetema), then immediately passes through a short infrared heat zone and is: rolled up in a steam room. The wet bulb thermometer shows about 92 C, and 'the goods remain in this steam room for one hour.
Then: Wash very thoroughly in a washing machine with hot water and dry on the stenter. The red starting dye gives the pure blue color of the metallized dye.
The abovementioned auxiliary is prepared as follows: 330 g of coconut fatty acid (1.5 mol), 345 g of diethanolamine (3.35 mol) and 1.5 g of p-toluenesulfonic acid are placed in a 1 liter round bottom flask with a descending condenser and receiver. The air in the flask is displaced by nitrogen, and it is heated to an internal temperature of 160 to 1651 C.
It is kept at this temperature until 27 to 28 g of water (1.5 mol) have accumulated in the ice-cooled template, which takes about 4 hours. the case is.
After cooling, 644 to 645 g of a pale brown liquid which is completely soluble in water is obtained.
600 g of the product are then mixed with the amount of about 12 g of glacial acetic acid and 1 to 2 g of a silicone-based antifoam to be determined in a preliminary test.
The amount of glacial acetic acid can vary somewhat from experiment to experiment and is determined as follows: 4 g of this product are read in a cylinder with a ground-glass stopper in 100 cms. Dissolved water, a completely clear, highly viscous solution being formed.
10% acetic acid is added dropwise from a burette in such a way that 0.5 cm @ is first added. At the point where it was dripped in, a cloudiness develops which disappears completely after shaking the cylinder. You add acetic acid in portions of 0.1 cm3 and shake after each addition until the solution remains very cloudy.
As a rule, about 0.8 cm3 of 10% acetic acid are required for this, resulting in the above-mentioned value of 12 g of glacial acetic acid.
The preparation obtained is now tested by again adding 4 g in 100 em3 d'est. Water dissolves. The solution obtained should be opaque. When standing, drops of oil should slowly excrete, which slowly cream. After standing for about 24 hours, an oily layer forms that makes up 40 to 60% of the total liquid.
If the 4% solution is only slightly cloudy, another 1.6 g of glacial vinegar is added to the preparation and checked again. Instead of this auxiliary you can also use the one that is obtained when an adduct of 9 moles of ethylene oxide with 1 mole of coconut fatty acid diethanolamide with 1.1 moles of diethanolamine is kept at 140 to 150 ° C. for 1 hour.
Furthermore, the addition product of 8 mol of ethylene oxide with 1 mol of p-octylphenol of the formula
EMI0003.0017
use as an aid. Example 2 A liquor is prepared which contains per liter: 50 g of the auxiliary described in Example 1, 60 g of dye of the formula
EMI0003.0020
5 g solid sodium alginate, 6 g sodium chromate, 12 g 40% acetic acid.
It is advantageous to proceed in the following way: the auxiliary is stirred with the solid sodium alginate; In another vessel, the dye was made into a paste with the available amount of water and boiled.
The dye solution is poured into the alginate-containing aid with vigorous stirring. After cooling, the chromate, which has been dissolved in water, is stirred in. Then enough acetic acid is added that a two-phase system can be seen in the microscope.
Unwashed loose wool, so-called sweat wool, is impregnated with the dye liquor and squeezed off or centrifuged off. It is placed in a steam kettle and treated with steam at 103 ° C. for 45 minutes. It is then washed out with hot water several times, for example on a so-called Leviathan. A black-colored, cleanly washed wool freed from adhering natural fat is obtained.
With this dye liquor, silk is obtained after impregnation, steaming and washing with dark gray shades. Example 3 A padding liquor of the following preparation is produced, which contains per liter: 40 g of the hemp agent described in Example 1, 15 g of the dye of the formula
EMI0003.0050
35g sodium chromium salicylate solution containing 40 g / 1 Cr (3), 300 g of an alginate thickener (25: 1000).
Combed wool is impregnated in the gusset of a horizon tal two-roll foulards and placed in a pressure damper containing saturated steam at 120 ° C. and remains in it for 6 minutes. It is then washed out thoroughly, conveniently on a lisseuse. The red color of the chromized dye is obtained.
Example 4 A padding liquor is produced which contains per liter: 40 g of the auxiliary described in Example 1, 10 g of dye of the formula
EMI0003.0072
200 g of a thickening made from modified plant slime 25: 1000.
A complex cobalt salt, which has been prepared in the following manner, is stirred into this preparation: 5 g cobalt acetate, crystalline. [CHsC00] 2Co - 4 H20 are stirred into 15 cm3 of 25% aqueous ammonia. First of all, cobalt hydroxide precipitates, which dissolves in excess ammonia with a deep yellow color.
It is then concentrated in a water bath, and the red solution of the cobalt complex is created, which is added to the above dye preparation.
Unwashed, pure wool worsted piece goods are impregnated with the above preparation on the pad roll machine as described in Example 1 and treated further in the same way as indicated in Example 1. A strong red-brown coloration is obtained on a woolen product which has not previously been subjected to soap washing.
Example 5 A dye preparation is produced which contains per liter: 30 g of the auxiliary described in Example 1, 10 g dye of the formula
EMI0004.0009
300 g of a thickening made from modified plant mucilage, 3 g of chloro-pentammine-cobalt-dicloride [Co (NH3) 5C1] C12. Woolen top is padded with this solution, steamed and washed, as in Example 3 be written.
A very genuine, yellow-brown coloration of the carbon complex of the above dye is obtained.
Example 6 Wool is dyed according to the instructions in Example 1 with the addition of the metal donor indicated in column II of the table below with the dye from column 1. The dye of the metal complex fixed in this way on the wool is given in column III.
