Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

 Timepiece with central seconds and winding by an oscillating weight We already know pieces of watchmaking with a second in the center and winding by an oscillating weight, in which the latter rotates around an axis mounted in the center of the movement and integral with a board fixed to the bridge of the winding device; in some of them, this bridge has a hollow in which the axis of the second wheel is housed so as to save a little space in height.

  On the other hand, second wheels are known, the central part of which is lower than the periphery so as to be able to be accommodated in certain assemblies while taking up as little space as possible.

  However, we have never combined these different elements to accommodate in the height of the gear bridge both the peripheral part of the second wheel, the upper bearing of the latter and the aforementioned board which reduces the height of the part. .

  The present invention specifically relates to a timepiece with a central second and winding by an oscillating weight, in which the seconds wheel has a central part lower than its periphery and the mass rotates around an axis mounted in the center. movement and integral with a board fixed to the bridge of the winding device, characterized by a circular recess made in the underside of the gear bridge and whose center forms a projection serving as a bearing for the axis of the seconds wheel, the bottom of this recess being pierced with an opening which serves as a housing for the mentioned board, the latter bearing above said projection, the pivot of the mass, its lower face being level with that of the recess.

  The accompanying drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the present invention. Fig. 1 is an axial section.

  Figs. 2 and 3 are detail plans.

  In these figures, the plate is designated by 1 and the gear train bridge by 2; between them is arranged the intermediate bridge 3. The center mobile 4 is mounted between the latter and the plate; it is controlled by the barrel 5 and itself controls the regulating device by a cog which is not shown and of which the central second mobile part 6. This has a central part 6a arranged lower than 'a peripheral part 6b. Above the gear bridge 2 is fixed the bridge 7 of the automatic winding device. This comprises the oscillating mass 8 to which is fixed the pinion 9 controlling a gear which ends at the ratchet of the barrel and of which the first mobile 10 is only shown.

   The mass 8 rotates around the axis 11 integral with a board 12 fixed to the underside of the bridge 7 by means of screws 12a and feet 12b.

  Figs. 2 and 3 show, in plan, the lower face of the bridge 2 respectively of the bridge 7; fig. 1 showing a section through I-I of FIG. 3.

  In the lower face of the bridge 2 is made a circular recess 2a in the center of which is formed a projection 2c, which forms a bearing for the upper pivot of the second wheel at the center 6. In addition, in the bottom of this recess 2a is made an opening 2b of generally triangular shape. As for the board 12, fixed to the lower part of the bridge 7, it has the same shape and is housed in this opening 2b, its lower face being in the plane of that of the recess 2a.

   The board 12 carries the tenon 11 which, with the hub of the mass 8, is housed in a recess 7a of the bridge 7.

 <Desc / Clms Page number 2>

 Thanks to this arrangement, the peripheral part 6b of the second wheel 6, the upper bearing 2c for this wheel and the board 12 are housed in the thickness of the bridge 2, which significantly reduces the height of the assembly.
