Description

Motorized wheelbarrow, and method of activating this wheelbarrow The present patent relates to a motorized wheelbarrow as well as a method of activating this wheelbarrow.

This motor wheelbarrow comprises a frame extending towards the rear by two stretchers, a body supported by said frame and a pair of wheels supporting said frame, the motor and its accessories driving said wheels. It is charac terized according to the invention, in that the front part of the body is arranged in the shape of a shovel and is capable of engaging, after tilting, at the foot of the pile of material to be loaded and of returning to its position. rolling.

The appended drawing represents, by way of example, two embodiments of the wheelbarrow which is the subject of the invention.

Fig. 1 is a side view showing the wheelbarrow according to the first embodiment, in the loading position.

Fig. 2 is a side view showing the same wheelbarrow in the pouring position.

Fig. 3 is a side view showing the wheelbarrow according to the second embodiment, in the loading position.

As can be seen in these figures, the wheelbarrow shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 comprises: a frame 1 extending towards the rear by two stretchers 2, a body 3 supported by said frame 1 and articulated to the latter along an axis 4, two wheels 5 attached to an axle fixed to said chassis, an engine 6, preferably with automatic clutch, driving a gearbox 7, for example by a belt 8, said gearbox being interposed between the axle and the engine in the kinematic transmission chain. strength.

The wheels are mounted at the ends of the axle by means of a differential device of known type.

The axle is placed transversely to the frame 1 behind the articulation axis 4.

The body 3 has its inclined front wall which is pro lengthened by a shovel 3a.

Driven by the stretchers 2 and propelled by the motor 6, the wheelbarrow is brought to the foot of the pile 9 of material to be loaded; the stretchers are raised so that the shovel is placed at the base of said heap. The engine is then re-engaged and oscillations are produced on the stretchers to allow, on the one hand, the penetration of the shovel into the heap and, on the other hand, the collapse of the marnel placed above. By gravity, the material falls into the crate. The stretchers are lowered, facilitated in this movement by the drive of the motor 1.

After transport, the material is poured in as shown in fig. 2, that is to say that the latch 10 is released, the body 3 tilts over according to the articulation 4, initiating a. pile 11 which serves as a stop for the shovel 3a, while the wheels 5, still driven by the motor, bring the whole of this pile closer together causing a complementary rotation of the body 3 around the axis 4. After replacing the the body and rusting worm, the wheelbarrow is ready to repeat the operation.

Fig. 3 illustrates a constructive variant, according to which the body 3 is made in two parts: a rear part 3a and a front part 3b forming a shovel, the two said parts being articulated on the frame 1 along the axis 4, and can also be locked to each other, for example by a latch such as 12 - 13.

The loading and pouring operations are substantially the same, except that it is not necessary to raise the stretchers for loading, the part 3b forming the shovel taking the correct position as soon as it is released from the part 3a, the material collapsing on this flap which is then raised by acting on the lever 12.
