<Desc/Clms Page number 4>

The appended drawing represents, by way of example, two embodiments of the invention.
Figure 1 is a side view showing a wheelbarrow according to a first embodiment, in the loading position, Figure 2 is a side view showing the same wheelbarrow in the side position.
FIG. 3 is a side view showing a wheelbarrow according to a second embodiment, in the loading position.
As can be seen in these figures, the wheelbarrow allowing the implementation of the method comprises: a seat 1 extending towards the rear by two stretchers 2, a body 3 supported by the said frame 1 and articulated to the latter along an axis 4, soft wheels 5 integral with an axle suitably connected to said frame, a motor

The body 3 has its front wall inclined and extended by a shovel 3a.
Driven by the stretchers 2 and propelled by the motor 6, the wheelbarrow is brought to the foot of the pile 9 of material to be loaded; the stretchers are raised so that the shovel is placed at the base of said heap. The engine is then re-engaged and oscillations are produced on the stretchers to allow, on the one hand, the penetration of the shovel into the heap and on the other hand the landslide of the marnel placed above. By gravity the material falls into the crate. Cn- @ lowers the stretchers, facilitated in this movement by the drive of motor 1.
After transport the material is poured from. the manner shown in Figure 2, that is to say that one releases the lock 10,. the body 3 overturns according to the articulation 4, initiating a pile 11 which serves as a stop for the shovel 3a, while the wheels 5 still driven by the engine, bring the whole of this pile closer together causing a complementary rotation of the body 3 around axis 4. After replacing the body and locking it, the wheelbarrow is ready to repeat the operation.
FIG. 3 illustrates a constructive variant, according to which the body 3 is made in two elements: a rear part 3a and a front part 3b forming a shovel, the two said parts being articulated on the frame 1 along the axis 4, 'and can also be locked to each other for example by a latch such as 12 - 13.
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
The loading and vorsage operations are substantially the same except that it is not necessary to raise the stretcher for loading, part 3b forming the shovel taking the correct position as soon as it is released from part 3a. , the material collapsing on this flap which is then raised by acting on the lever 12.
CLAIMS I / - Method of loading a motorized wheelbarrow characterized by the fact that one places the end of the front c8té of the body of the wheelbarrow at the bottom of the pile of material to be loaded, which is made to penetrate, by the action of the motor, said side in this heap, that one causes oscillations of the said box in order to facilitate the penetration of it into the said heap and thereby the fall by landslide of the material thus undermined its base, that one raises the said box, being helped by the action 'of the motor.
2 / - Wheelbarrow particularly designed for ease of implementation of this method and comprising: a frame extending towards the rear by two stretchers, a body supported by said frame, a pair of wheels suitably connected to said frame, a motor and its accessories driving said wheels, characterized pir.
ie the fact that the front part of the body is constituted by an inclined part ending in a shovel, the ace of the wheels being placed behind this inclined part in order to constitute the tilting axis around which the body turns to allow 'on the one hand with the shovel coming to engage at the foot of the pile of material to be loaded and on the other hand with the body returning to its rolling position.
