Shuttle-change loom A turnip-change loom is described in Swiss Patent No. 259800. In this loom, the change is effected, without stopping the running of the loom, causing the axial displacement of a shaft which, carrying the cams, places the latter opposite the components that they have to control to ensure, as the main movement, the momentary separation between the shuttle box and the leaf and the maintenance of this box in position moved back under the store of spare shuttles.
According to this arrangement, the complete cycle of changing a shuttle takes place during two revolutions of the crankshaft, that is to say during two strokes of the clapper.
This trade has already been perfected to make it possible to slow down the movements of planning and setting up a shuttle full of change, by spreading all the movements over four strokes of the clapper, while maintaining the change properly. said on two strokes, taking advantage of the two previous strokes to bring about the descent of the spare boat from his store and its presentation above the opening box of the loom. For this purpose, the camshaft of the change mechanism performs, at the moment of triggering, a complete revolution on itself before being moved axially.
The present invention relates to a weaving loom with changing shuttles, comprising a set of cams and levers making it possible to momentarily separate the shuttle box from the leaf, this box being an opening box in two parts.
According to the invention, this loom is characterized in that, on the one hand, the shaft of said cams and the shaft of said levers are arranged at the base of an oscillating frame carrying the shuttle box, so that they are not associated with the back and forth movement of the latter, which reduces the inertia of the moving mass, -and in that, on the other hand, the opening box receiving the shuttle opens rearward when changing and is held in the closed position by locking.
The appended schematic drawing represents, by way of example, a partial embodiment of the loom which is the subject of the invention, FIG. 1 is a rear perspective view of the shuttle box; figs. 2 and 3 are, on a reduced scale, side elevational views, respectively before and during opening of the box; fig. 4 is a top plan view thereof, in the closed position.
As shown in fig. 2 and 3, a control camshaft 42, as well as a lever shaft 43 are placed at the base of the loom, substantially at the level of a swing shaft 44, and are entirely independent of an oscillating frame. carrying the shuttle box and constituted by two legs 45 pivotally mounted on this shaft 44 and interconnected by a cross member 46. This cross member serves as a support for the shuttle box which is composed of a movable central part 83 and of two fixed end parts 85.
With a view to the attachment of the frame carrying this box, to the leaf leg 92, the latter carries a ramp 94 on which are held two articulated arms 82 so that they can feel, as will be described below, order the release of the frame from the leaf leg and the opening of the box. On the shaft 42, cams are placed, as shown from right to left in fig. 1, a cam 47 of a feeler, a cam 48 ensuring the translation of said shaft 42, a disc 49 for retaining this shaft after its translation, a rearming cam 51, a cam 52 for controlling the shuttle block, a cam 53 for opening the box, a drop cam 54, a toothed wheel 55 for driving said shaft in rotation, a cam 56 for descending the shuttle.
On the shaft 43, levers are articulated, a lever 57 connected by a rod 58 to an articulated lever 59 of the feeler, a lever 61 connected by a rod 62 to a pivoting shuttle blocking lever 63, a lever 64 connected by a rod 65 to arms 82 controlling the opening of the box and which will be discussed below, and a lever 66 connected by a rod 67 to a shaft 68 supporting the supporting brackets of the replacement shuttle.
On another shaft 69 parallel to the aforementioned shafts 42, 43, 44 are wedged a sleeve 71 carrying a roller 72 controlling the movement of the shaft 42, a lever 73 connected by a rod 74 to a reset lever 75, and a lever 76 controlling by a rod 77 the opening of the shuttle store. The two legs 45 of the frame are interconnected, on their rear face, by three rods 78-79 and 80. The rod 78 constitutes the pivot axis of the reset lever 75 and of the two arms 82 controlling the opening of the box. . The rod 79 constitutes the pivot axis of the shuttle block 63 and of the movable part 83 of the box, provided for this purpose with tabs 84 pivoting on said rod. The ends 85 of the box which are fixed are integral with the cross member 46.
The rod 80, finally, constitutes a locking member, in the closed period, of the movable part 83 of the box. Indeed, the arms 82 are, beyond their pivot axis 78, each articulated by a connecting rod 86, at the end of a lever 87, the other end of which is articulated at 88 to a lug integral with the face. rear of the movable part 83 of the box. This lever 87 is subjected to the traction of a spring 89 which pulls it in the direction of the box and it comprises a notch 91 which, when the box is closed (FIG. 2), is engaged on the transverse rod 80, ensuring the locking on closing.
The attachment of the legs 45 of the frame to the wing leg 92, during normal operation of the loom, is provided by the arms 82. At their front end, these arms 82 are, in fact, joined together by a rod 93 which, when traction by the rod 65 is not exerted on said arms, bears against the top of a ramp 94 integral with the leaf extension 95.
During the opening command of the box, with a view to changing the shuttle, the cam 53 presses on the lever 64; this exerts a traction on the arms 82 which, by voting around the axis 78, cause the sliding of the rod 93 along the ramp 94 and thus the unhooking of the frame which pivots backwards and is retained in its fall by a roller 96 then rolling in the cam 54. While pivoting, each of the arms 82 unlocks the movable part 83 of the box by pivoting the corresponding lever 87 from bottom to top, and causes the box to open, by exerting pressure on a finger 97 pivoting on the axis 79 and integral with the movable part 83. For this purpose, the two arms 82 each comprise a finger 98 carrying a roller 99 which acts by rolling on the finger in the form of a ramp 97.
