Upper pivoting device of a timepiece balance The present invention relates to an upper pivoting device of a timepiece balance provided with a spindle axis.
This device is characterized by a metal plug held in a cock hole, this plug having, on the one hand, a conical hole intended to receive the upper point of the balance shaft and, on the other hand, an upper part. around an adjustment of which the racket rotates.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, two embodiments of the object of the invention.
Figs. 1 and 2 are respectively sectional views of these two forms.
The device shown in FIG. 1 is constituted by a metal stopper 1 driven into a cylindrical borehole 2 of the cock 3. The stopper 1 has a cylindrical lower part whose diameter corresponds to that of the borehole 2, and an upper part of larger diameter, resting on the face upper part of the cock 3. This upper part has a dovetail adjustment 4, around which the racket 5, provided as usual with a pin 6 and a wrench 7, rotates with greasy friction. The upper face of the stopper 1 has a slight recess 8, the convex bottom of which is polished. On its underside, the stopper 1 has a conical blind hole 9, the depth of which is approximately half the thickness of the stopper 1.
This hole 9 is intended to receive the upper point 10 of the axis 11 of the balance. The angle at the top of hole 9 is greater than that of tip 10.
The face of the stopper 1 which is in contact with the upper face of the cock 3 has a slight annular projection 12, while an annular groove 13 is made at the upper end of the lower part of the stopper 1. Thanks to this arrangement , when the stopper 1 is driven out in the borehole 2, the projection 12 pushes back, at the moment when it comes into contact with the cock 3, a little metal of the latter, which becomes lodged in the groove 13. It occurs thus a rivet ensuring the perfect maintenance of the stopper 1 relative to the cock 3.
In the embodiment shown in FIG. 2, the cap 1 is screwed into the cock 3. For this purpose, its lower part is threaded and screws into the threaded hole 14 of the cock 3. Two blind holes 15 are provided on the upper face of the cap 1 to allow rotate it using a special tool. Moreover, this second embodiment is similar to that shown in FIG. 1.
The device described and shown is applicable in particular to Roskopf watches.
