Description

Winding and time-setting mechanism. In most watches, the winding stem is held in place by means of a pull tab, which presses into a groove made in the winding stem. The zipper is screwed in place by means of a screw which pivots in the plate and in the barrel bridge. This device has the disadvantage that the fixing of the rod does not offer the desired security in the sense that, by the angular movement of the zipper, the latter can unscrew over time. By unscrewing, the penetration of the zipper in the groove of the winding stem is reduced and the result will be that after a certain time the stem will tear off when setting the time in particular.

All hor logers know this case and the example of lost stems is very frequent. On the other hand, the screwing operation is long and delicate and requires very special care on the part of the worker.

The object of the present invention is precisely to remedy the various faults reported. Its object is a winding and time-setting mechanism which is characterized in that instead of the zipper screw usually employed, the zipper is mounted in place by means of an axis on which it is engaged and which freely journalled in movement support parts, is held in place therein by means of a latch fitted with greasy friction in one of said support parts and the disengagement of which allows disengagement. of the pull tab with the winding stem.

The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the invention. Fig. 1 is a section and FIG. 2 a plan.

The zipper A is driven out or fixed on the axis B. It: engages in the usual groove of the winding stem C.

The axis B of the zipper pivots freely, on the one hand, in the stem D and, on the other hand, in the bridge .E. It is normally held in place in these support parts D, E by means of a .F latch fitted with greasy friction in the bridge E.

To remove the winding stem, all you have to do is turn the latch E until a milled or cut part of the latch is placed tangentially to the pull pin B. At this time, a coil spring G mounted on the axis B between a shoulder b of this one and the stem D exerts a pressure on the axis B of the zipper. The pull tab A which is driven there on the axis B is thus automatically released from the groove made in the winding stem and the latter can thus be easily removed from the movement. To see if the zipper 9. rests well in the groove of the winding stem, a gui chet H has been provided in the bridge E.

To put the winding stem back in place, we proceed in reverse order, that is to say we start by inserting the winding stem into the corresponding parts of the stem D, then pressure is exerted on the head of the stem. 'axis B of the zipper until the zipper spout is housed in the groove of the winding stem and the lock F is finally turned until the solid part of said lock covers the head of the axis pull tab.
