The bottom 5 of the box is. assembled notch on a rim 6 of the caseband. It touches the end of a stud. 7 attached to the membrane at a location chosen to obtain a pleasant timbre of the membrane and sufficient sound intensity. Holes can be made in the bottom 5 to promote the propagation of the sound emitted, in space.
The membrane 8 of the second embodiment according to FIG. 2 is fitted in a recess in the bottom 9 of the box to which it is assembled by means of an elastic ring 10. A stud. 1.1, driven into the bottom 9, touches the membrane. The warning device thus formed is made integral with the case by closing the back cover to the caseband 12. The ambient air reaches the. horn chamber through holes 13.
In the third embodiment my trée in fig. 3, the membrane 14 is assembled to. a ring 15, into which a protective bottom 16 is forced. The head of a stud 17, of which. is provided with bottom 16, touches the membrane in him point. of its vibrant part. Holes are provided at 18. A bezel ring 20 fixes the membrane to the carrara 19. The protective bottom 16 constitutes the bottom of the case.
The bottom 21 of the 48 embodiment according to FIG. 4 is thinned to constitute a membrane 22 which thus came from fabrication with the bottom and which is put on. at. vibrate when a bell 23, fixed by a screw 2'4, receives the shocks of a hammer 25. A homogeneous disc 26, forced into the bottom 21, is linked with the membrane 22 by the intermediary of a tenon 27. Gills 28 are. spawns in the thick part of the bottom 21.
In the 5th embodiment shown in FIG. 5, the acoustic organ is analogous to that of a musical string instrument. The membrane 29, mounted in a ring 30, is one of the soundboards, the other being the bottom 31 with the hearing 32. A spacer 33 is the core of the resonance chamber. A rope 34, stretched by means of keys 35, passes over an easel 36 and is put into vibration by a hammer 37. A ring-bezel 38 assembles the whole to the middle 39.
The membrane 40 of the 6th embodiment according to FIG. 6 is placed on the middle part 41. The protective base 42 is made integral with the ring 43. The stud 44 connects the membrane 40 to the base 42. In the 7th embodiment shown in FIG. 7, the membrane 45 is housed in a nov ure of the bottom 46 of which. the central part 47 is thinned. These parts define a resonance chamber, the stud 48 uniting the bases opposite. Ambient air reached. the membrane passing through a hole 49 drilled in the base 46. Screws 50 secure the body to the ring 51 which assembles the whole to the frame 52.
The 8th embodiment according to FIG. 8 has a certain analogy with the. 3rd form (the execution described. The protective bottom 53 here has a peripheral shoulder on which the ring 54 fixed to the rare bus 55 rests.
In the 9th embodiment illustrated by; figs. 9 and 10, the member in contact with the membrane 56 is a ring 5 7 which is fixed to the middle 58 and having, at the top of a cap 59, a button 60 constituting a projecting element which touches the vibrating part of the membrane .
In the 10th following embodiment. figs. 11 and 12, a diametral bar 61, held in place by a ring 62 assembled with. the middle 63 has a sail lantern element 64 which touches the vibrating part of the membrane 65. FIGS. 13 and 14 show the 11th embodiment, in which the periphery of the membrane 66 has a recess in which is fitted an elastic ring 67, split at 68 and having at 69 a button constituting a projecting element. which touches the vibrating part of the membrane. A bezel ring 70 fixes the membrane to the middle part 71.
The 12th embodiment, shown in FIGS. 15 and. 16, has a certain resemblance to the 10th embodiment, but differs therefrom in that the diametral bar 73 is slipped into an eagle-tail opening made in the circumference of the membrane 72 In the variant of the 12th embodiment, visible in FIG. 17, the diameter bar 75 has its end which is. taken under the rim of the ring 76; the latter turns the rim of the membrane 74 on which the button 77 is pressed.
Figs. 18 and 19 relate to the 13th embodiment. In the. plan view, the bottom of the box is removed to make the drawing more explicit. The object of the construction is to move the point (the contact on the vibrating part of the membrane in order to be able to choose, between certain limits, the intensity and the pitch of the sound.
To this end, a lever 79, pivoting at 80, strr a tenon integral with the membrane 78, has an arm (it protrudes from the middle part to be able to be operated at will, while the end of the other arm carries a stud 81 constituting a projecting element whose head touches the vibrating lnirtie of the nienibrane. The lever 79 is movable from the position drawn in solid lines to the position drawn in phantom lines. A background 82, intended to protect the membrane and lever, is fixed to the middle part 83.
It has a notch 8.1 to allow passage to the key arm for operating the lever 79.
