2. Fig. 2 en est une vue en plan.
Ream with grippers fitted with a device for introducing a fabric with advance in the grippers. The present invention relates to a ream with pliers provided with a device intended to introduce the fabric into the pliers with a certain advance, which allows the fabric to form transverse folds during its pinching in the pliers, with a view to 'a subsequent withdrawal.
The difficulty in solving this problem lies in the fact that it is necessary to bring the fabric to the clamps with an advance, but without allowing it to form transverse folds at the edges before their clamping by the clamps. This is all the more difficult as it is impossible (to keep the fabric directly at its edge during its introduction into the clamps.
The train which is the subject of the invention makes it possible to solve perfectly the problem described above. It is characterized by a pair of take-off rollers, the peripheral speed of which is in an adjustable ratio determined with the speed of the grippers, while being greater than the latter, by a positive guide device disposed downstream of said rollers. , said device being arranged on both sides of the fabric and serving to guide and hand hold unfolded the latter, by supercharging means arranged on each side of the fabric, immediately before the start of the pliers path, and by means of connection capable of moving said boosting means laterally with the guide rails of the grippers,
said supercharging means being driven by a device communicating to them a linear speed greater than the peripheral speed of the take-up rollers.
One embodiment of the clamp train which is the subject of the invention is shown, by way of example, in the accompanying drawing.
Fig. 1 is a schematic elevation view, taken along line I-I of FIG. 2. Fig. 2 is a plan view.
Fig. 3 shows, on a larger scale, the insertion of the tissue into the clamps.
Fig. 4 is a detail view showing the coupling of the supercharging rollers to the guide rail of the grippers.
Fig. 5 is a detail view offset by 90 with respect to FIG. 4 and showing the assembly of the upper boost roller.
Fig. 6 is a plan view corresponding to. fig. 4, the upper roller being sup posed removed.
In this drawing, 1 denotes the main drive shaft of a supercharging device which is itself actuated in some way, for example from the main drive shaft of the train set. This shaft drives, via an eagle return 2, two pulleys 3 controlling, by means of trapezoidal belts 4, a speed variator comprising two grooved louses 5, the active radius of which can be modified. , within certain limits, by operating a lever 6.
A chain wheel 7, integral in rotation with the grooved pulleys -5, drives a chain wheel 8 wedged on the shaft 9 of a stationary lower take-up roller 10. With this roller cooperates the presser roller 11 mounted on a axis 12 which is journalled in arms 13 capable of pivoting about an axis 14, which allows the roller 11 to apply against the roller 10 so as to pinch the fabric to be called.
It should be noted that the transmission ratio of the assembly constituted by the elements 2 to 8 is variable so that the peripheral speed of the roller 10 can be made equal or, in a determined ratio, greater than the linear speed ream clamps, to achieve either a speed without advancing the fabric with respect to the clamps, or a supercharging speed.
The shaft 9 of the roller 10 carries, on the side opposite the chain wheel 8, another chain wheel 15 driving a chain wheel 16, rotatably secured to discs 17a against which the discs 17b are applied by the ac tion of a spring 18 whose tension can be adjusted by a lever 18a. The discs 17b are integral in rotation with a chain wheel 19 controlling, by means of a chain 20, a chain wheel 21. The assembly formed by the elements 16 to 19 constitutes a friction drive allowing only transmitting a force which is limited by the friction between the discs 17a and 17b.
The chain wheel 21 is wedged on a shaft 22 (see fig. 1 and 4) journalled in bearings 23, and on which can slide a chon 22a sleeve while being made integral in rotation with this shaft by a key 22b ( fig. 1). The manchoh 22a is integral with a chain wheel 22c driving, through the intermediary of a chain 22d, a chain wheel 22e integral with a lower roller 24 of the supercharging device itself, which is twirled in. supports 22f integral in translation with the sleeve 22a. This roller 24 cooperates with an upper roller 25.
The lower roll 24 is cylindrical, while the upper roll 25 has a frustoconical shape. For this reason, the axis 26 of the roller 25 is inclined so that the generatrices in contact with the rollers 24 and 25 are parallel to one another. However, it should be noted that the upper roll 25 can also be executed in a cylindrical form.
It will be noted that the pairs of rollers 24, 25 are arranged on the inner side of the edges of the fabric, so that said edges project beyond said rollers by a distance corresponding approximately to the depth of introduction into the grippers.
The axis 26 is integral with a sleeve 27 capable of pivoting around the horizontal branch 28a of a support rod with three arms 28a-28b-28c (FIG. 5). The sleeve 27 carries, on the other hand, a counterweight arm 29 intended for. apply roller 25 against roller 24.
The vertical branch 286 of the support rod passes through a sleeve 30 which is integral with a carriage 31, capable of moving along a bar 34, using upper and lower rollers respectively. 32 and 33.
The movable mounting of the rollers 24 and 25 of the supercharging device properly. said assembly is necessary so that this assembly can follow the corrective movements of the guide rails of the grippers caused by the variations in the lateral position of the fabric, in order to present the edge of the fabric to the grippers always under identical conditions.
For this purpose, the support rod. comprises the 28th descending arm, on which is articulated, to. using a screw 28 \ r screwed into said arm and a washer 28e, a eyelet 28 'integral with a connecting rod 28s ending, at its opposite end, with an eyelet 28 <B>' </ B > likely to vote sitr a pivot 2-8 'fixed on a part 2R' in the shape of <B> Z, </B> that is. fixed, by bolts 28 ', on the guide rail 50 of the clamps.
As is known, the guide rail 50 executes a corrective movement consisting of a pivoting movement around one of its ends: the movement of the rollers 24 and 25 must then take place in such a way that their axes remain strictly. parallel to those of the take-up rollers 10 and 11, in order to avoid any undesirable lateral deviation of the fabric.
This result is obtained, for the upper roller 25, by the assembly which has just been described, thanks to the connection comprising the two articulations 28a-28f and 28i-28h.
The connection system coupling the lower roller 24 to the guide rail 50 comprises a flat iron 51 integral with the guide rail 50 and cooperating with another flat iron 52 integral with the yoke 22f in which the roller 24 is journaled. plate 52 is provided with a plug 53 in which engages a bolt 54 fixed in the flat iron 51 and thus ensuring an articulated connection between the flat bars 51 and 52 and, therefore, between the guide rail 50 and the support of the roller 24, allowing the drive of the roller 24 in a translational movement corresponding to a sliding of the sleeve 22a on the shaft 22, by a pivoting movement of the guide rail 50.
The fi-g. 6 shows the inclined position said guide rail 50 relative to the axis of the roller 24. It can be seen, on the other hand, that the flat bars 51 and 52 applying one coulter to the other over a fairly long length. , which prevents the tilting of the yoke 22f around the shaft 202 It should be noted that the rollers 24 and 25 must be fitted with individual connections with the same guide rail, since the fabric passing between these two rollers is opposed to the production of a common transverse drive device polish the two rollers which is of a simple construction.
It should also be noted that the ratio of the transmission interposed between the shafts 9t and 22 and comprising the elements 15 to 21 is. such that the peripheral speed of the rollers 24 is greater than that of the take-up roller 10, if there is no slip between the friction discs 17a and 17b.
It should also be noted that the upper generatrix of the roller 24 is located at a higher level than that of the tables of the grippers to be fed. Between the take-up rollers 10,11 and the supercharging rollers 24 and 25 is arranged a guiding and unfolding device which is constituted by a lower plate 36 and an upper plate 37, arranged at a short distance from one of the other, and between which passes the fabric 35, The lower plate 36 stops near the supercharging rollers 24, 25. The upper plate 37 has an inclined edge 38 whose width is reduced so as to leave only 'a narrow lan watch 39 intended to penetrate into the open clamps between the fabric 35a (see Fig. 3) placed on the table 40 of a clamp, and the movable flap 41 thereof.
The clamps have, in the usual way, a table 40 cooperating with a tilting flap 41 in order to clamp the edge of the fabric. The table 40 is provided with transverse interstices, preferably notches, intended to receive the transversaax folds of the fabric, engaged in them by rollers 42 mounted on the shutter 41 and the number of which corresponds to that of the interstices of the table.
The opening and closing of the clamp are controlled by a finger 43 integral with the flap 41 and. cooperating with a guide piece 44 comprising a sudden detachment 46 at a location corresponding to the end of the introduction of the tissue into the clamp.
The body 47 of the. clamp is equipped with a posterior tooth 48 intended to be gripped by corresponding elements of drag pulleys 49 arranged at the ends of the train. The tooth 48 still carries a roller 48a guiding the clamp through the oar on a rail 48 "(fig. 4).
The ream described and shown operates as follows: The fabric 35 enters the ream under the pull of the rollers 10 and 11. As already explained, the transmission ratio comprising elements 3 to 8 and transmitting. the movement from the drive shaft 1 to the shaft 9 of the take-up roller 10 is such that the linear speed of the called-up fabric is. greater than that of the grippers driven by their drive pulleys 49.
The fabric, coming from the take-up rollers 10 and 11, is driven by the supercharging rollers 24 and 25. As stated, the ratio of the transmission formed by the elements 15 to 21 is such that the supercharging rollers tend to spin faster than the take-up rollers. Consequently, the boost rollers 24 and 25 exert a pull on the fabric coming from the take-off rollers 10 and 11. However, the force of this pull is limited by the friction device 17a-17b to a value compatible with. the resistance of the fabric, by adjusting the spring 18.
Since rollers 24 and 25, on the one hand, and rollers 10 and 11, on the other hand, are positively connected by the fabric, they actually rotate at the same peripheral speed, the tendency of the shaft 29- to advance having only the result of stretching the fabric between the rollers 24 and 25, on the one hand, and 10 and 11, on the other hand, with a force limited by the friction discs 17a-17b, which then slide on top of each other.
It is important to present the edges of the fabric to the pliers without transverse folds, which is ensured, on the one hand, by the traction exerted on the fabric between the take-up rollers and the supercharging rollers in the same way as above. be explained, and, on the other hand, by the wise pitch of the fabric between the guide and unfolding plates 36 and 37.
The fabric is guided by the lower threading plate 36 up to the immediate proximity of the grippers beginning their forward stroke after having bypassed the drag pulley 49. In the gripper, the fabric lays down, as shown in 35a (in fig. 3) on the table 40 of the clamp, which is ensured, among other things, by the fact that, as explained above, the generator of contact between the rollers 24 and 25 as well as the upper surface of the lower guide plate 36 are located at. a level higher than that of the clamp table.
The tab 30 extending from the upper guide plate 37 prevents fabric from catching the shutter. mobile of the gripper.
During the introduction of the tissue in the forceps, this one is. kept open because of the finger. 43 of the movable shutter slides along the longitudinal edge of the part 44. Since the fabric is fed, by the supercharging rollers 24 and 225, <B> at </B> a linear speed greater than that of the gripper and that, on the other hand, the advance of the fabric is stopped, downstream of the clamp during packing, by the clamping of the fabric in the previous clamp already closed,
the clamp receives a length of fabric greater than the length of its table. When this supercharging has been ensured over the entire width of the clamp table, it must. 43 reaches the hook 46, causing the finger 43 to retreat sharply so as to. allow tilting of the movable flap of the clamp, bringing the rollers 42 into contact with the tissue and which distribute. then the excess fabric between the interstices of the table 40.
Complete closure of the clamp then takes place in the usual manner when the fabric is withdrawn from under the rollers 42 by the spacing. guide rails of the grippers bringing them to the working position corresponding to the width of the fabric.
In another embodiment of the oar, the friction transmission, arranged between the take-up rollers and the supercharging rollers can be replaced by a speed correcting device making it possible to keep the edges of the fabric taut and to correct the load. The excess speed necessary for the action of the supercharger to prevent excess tension from having an adverse effect on the fabric.
The supercharging device itself can also be constituted by two rollers, or endless belts, superimposed, provided with symmetrical ribs in the form of gear teeth, the depth of penetration of the teeth of the roller, or belt, greater between the teeth of the lower roller, or band, being able to be precisely adjusted. By virtue of this device, the fabric takes on a wavy shape as it passes between these rollers and is therefore kept stretched over the path between the take-off mechanism and the supercharging mechanism.
On the other hand, the guiding and unfolding device can also be constituted by a lower guide plate cooperating with a rotating cylinder provided with rubber blades or brushes and driven by a rotational movement in the same direction as the movement. of the fabric, but at a higher linear speed than the fabric. The rotating cylinder will thus produce traction on the free edges of the fabric, eliminating any risk of wrinkling or even twisting of the selvages.
